- Albert (8/5): - Staff was helpful. Location is excellent, walkable to most of the attractions in the old town. Free Turkish breakfast is a plus. The property itself has some character and charm, but is a bit dated. We have no hot water for one night.

- Samantha (10/5): - Absolutely perfect location for so many things!! 5 minutes from the waterfront in one direction, 10 minutes from Hague Sophia and the Blue Mosque in the other. Transit easily reachable in a 10-15 minute walk. Despite being so close to the very crowded square, the street around the hotel is very peaceful, with staggered streets that make it quiet and calm when you come back from being out. Staff were very friendly and helpful (thank you so much for carrying my bags up and down the stairs!). There is no lift, which after a long day walking up and down the hills of Istanbul would have been nice, but this is the only teeny negative I could say. Will definitely stay here again and have already suggested to friends!!

- 561jimmib (10/5): Family Trip in Istanbul - We have stayed few nights with my daughters, this hotel is very close to most visited places in Istanbul like Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque, Topkapy palace etc. Less than 10 minutes walk everything. Staffs are very very helpful, they arranged early check in for us. They cleaned rooms everyday without asking. Breakfast very good. We will visit again and stay there.

Safe ✅ lots of restaurants nearby Amazing front desk 24 hour service ✅ they arranged our transport with fixed rates do we knew what we were paying for taxi. The airport pick up was tricky since we got delayed but they accommodated us and it’s a big Mercedes van. Overall, I would say good for what you pay for. I would stay here again.

The front desk folks were always kind and chatty with us and were more than happy to offer any services and/or answer questions. Breakfast was FABULOUS! Great variety of food and they slightly changed it up every day. There was even chocolate cake one morning, come on? Chocolate cake? YES PLEASE!! The room was fantastic, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms were nice. Great overall experience with a Bed and Breakfast small hotel feel to it. Big fan. Also, the main touristy activities such as Aya Sophia, Blue Mosque and Sultan Palace was less than 10 minutes walking so a great deal and a great way to save money.

- Perelandra (8/5): Great location, good service, some inconveniences - The front desk worker was very kind and helpful and they helped us book tickets to fun events. Great location for walking anywhere. The beds are not super comfortable. My brother and I shared a room with two twin beds. He is about 6'3 and he found the bed slightly small and the mattresses were a little firm. Also, keep in mind that they don't have maids or janitors available 24 hours a day so you may have to clean up messes yourself. (My brother and I got sick so we had to clean up vomit ourselves) If you are travelling with kids this may be something to consider. Not wheelchair accessible at all. Expect to carry luggage up and down stairs or ask the front desk to help you.

Took a couple hours to cool, other than that everything was great. Would probably stay here again if we get a different room with better AC. For the price and location, can't really complain. I was lucky that i stayed there twice during my travels and the second time was like coming home. I went to the grand bazaar and it wasnt worth if but on the way home i was lost whoch rarely happens.i called the hotel and was almost in tears. Tan asked where i was and told me where a taxi stand was and i was back there in 10 min. Honestly i didnt want to go home and im sure i will go back!
- s (10/5): Great stay in wonderful and welcoming hotel - Wonderful 4-night stay at the Esans hotel. They were really proactive and responsive via Whatsapp prior to my stay. As I arrived really early in the morning, they let me store my luggage until I checked in in the evening. To my surprise (and absolute delight) they upgraded me from a standard room to a family room, which was huge, had a ridiculously comfortable king size bed, two armchairs, plus another two chairs and a table and a nice dressing table. Bathroom was big, with a walk in shower. There were lots of towels as well as shampoo and soap, etc. This is not a cold modern hotel, but has charming rooms decorated more traditionallly Turkish. And most importantly, everything was spotlessly clean. I walked around barefoot in the room and there was not a spec of dust on my feet. All the surfaces and the bathroom were spotless, too. The room was on the third floor, super quiet, I didn't really hear my neighbours and it was only one more floor up to the beautiful breakfast room with terrace and view of the Marmara sea. Breakfast was nice and plenty, typical turkish fare, so don't expect hot food, though there were always scrambled eggs. Everyone was super friendly from Bayram and his colleagues at reception, to lovely Sebo who was responsible for the breakfast and the cleaning staff I came across. Would 100% recommend, though be aware there is no elavator, which was not problem for me, but people with mobility issues might struggle.

A traditional building with a history. Very well kept and clean. Comfortable beds. Rooms spacious but a little over furnished. Reception area needs a touch of refurbishing! Breakfast with all you need as we found in most places we stayed at that included breakfast.

Worst experience ever. I used to travel a lot. And this is for the first time I have booked through hotels.com. And the breakfast experience was awful .Food was cold and very limited options. The staff is very warm, attentive and eager to converse and please. It’s the warmth of a B&B with the services, comfort and amenities of a boutique hotel. Bayram was extremely helpful. (Ask him to book your spa experience!) The breakfast is delicious, diverse with so many homemade specialties- all served on a lovely rooftop balcony. Highly recommend. Rooms are small but charming and cozy, no elevator but good to walk stairs after all the good food. Room 202 is a very large room - double the others, if you need the space. Decor is a little dated but it only adds to the charm. And for the price, this is an excellent choice!

The hotel is conveniently located close to the main attractions, which made it easy to return to my room to freshen up during the day. The room I stayed in was spacious, with a good ensuite bathroom. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The front desk provided excellent advice on the best places to buy gifts and how much things should cost, ensuring I didn't get ripped off. They also offered guidance on various other matters, which I found very useful. Multiple front of desk staff some able to speak English well. One of my favourite aspects was the complimentary breakfast each morning. The food was freshly prepared by the lady chef, who also took care of room cleaning. The breakfast included a variety of sweet and Savory dishes, as well as traditional Turkish food and tea. The menu changed slightly each day, which added a nice variety. The breakfast area was located on the top floor, offering beautiful views of the Bosphorus Strait, with an outdoor section where you could enjoy the morning breeze. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul.

- Z2588NSdariap (10/5): Best Hotel I Have Stayed In <3 - We stayed at Esans Hotel for 4 nights and it was one of the best hotels that we stayed at in Turkey, it was absolutely beautiful. The room itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable while the staff were very sweet and helped us a lot during our stay. The location of the hotel is very good as it is right in the heart of Istanbul and walkable distance from all the museums, stores, and restaurants, not to mention that the people in that part are very nice and caring. Thank you for the staff of the hotel who helped me and my family. When we first came to the hotel, we were only booked for one night however, we planned to stay for more. Despite how complicated it was, the staff, especially Tan, helped us greatly as we need to switch rooms twice. Apart from this, the hotel really felt as it was home where we felt safe, even late at night. Since this was our first time in Istanbul, and Turkey in general, Tan gave us good advice about where best to go shopping and sightsee, he also explained to us the history behind the hotel, which was so interesting. :) Thank you so much Tan and staff, we really appreciate you! It's especially great for a first time visitor in Istanbul. I stayed in a very comfortable and well kept room. Staff always helpful and friendly. I very much enjoyed my week long stay. No elevator, however the staff carried my bag to and from the third floor. Breakfast it on the top floor (4th) with views of the Bosporus. Breakfast was plentiful and puts ALL US hotel breakfasts to shame.

As previously mentioned no lift (elevator) but staff will help you with your luggage when arriving and departing. Stopped here for four nights; easy to get to the tourist sites, lots of restaurants to chose from close-by (one street up). Would definitely recommend

- Moyses (10/5): - Esans hotel is just what it seems to be: a boutique hotel in Istanbul. This means, in part, no elevator. But Esans staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was tasty and sufficient, the rooftop afforded a decent view of the Bosphorus, and my room was small but comfortable (I had a firm mattress for a bed). I would stay at Esans again.

Special shoutout to the front desk staff for all their help! The included breakfast was very appreciated. It was filling and enjoyable. The staff preparing breakfast were so kind. Location was also great, very close to landmarks. Overall, we had an amazing stay!

- Teodora (10/5): Great for layover stay - I stayed here on a 17 hour layover. It was comfortable and clean, the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Prices have changed on shuttles to and from airport unlike the listing it is actually 50 euros. Shuttle was great. I did not get to enjoy breakfast as my flight was really early . The hotel is in a safe and convenient area , which suited me well as a solo woman traveller. It is not a fancy hotel but it has everything you need for a short stay .
- Alexandra (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at the hotel! The room cleaned every day, mattress was perfect, the view was nice, staff was always very respectful and helpful! The rooftop breakfast was a nice touch! I think the only thing that could improve is the deli meats diversity for breakfast and greens, but that is a matter of personal preference. Overall, we loved our stay at this historic hotel so close to the Hagia Sophia and Topkapi Palace! Thank you for everything!
- LisaVienna4034 (8/5): Lovely, friendly hotel in the heart of the old city - This hotel is small and cozy, right in the heart of the old city area Sultanahmet. Short walk to Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. There are only 8 rooms on 3 floors, with the breakfast room at the top on the enclosed roof terrace. There is no elevator, so this might be difficult for elderly people or anyone with with physical difficulty. Our double room (#301) was small but comfortable. Unfortunately, in the night there was often noise from the larger hotel across the narrow street. I think all rooms have windows that face that hotel. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful - and at the reception 24-hours. The breakfast is okay, but unfortunately not as good as it looks in the photo on the hotel's website. The coffee is filter coffee and rather weak. No Turkish coffee available.
- Brian (2/5): - In this hotel they are liars, they don't offer laundry and when you book a tour with them in your own language they give it to you in the language they want to give it to you and they don't tell you and when you demand that you give your money back they don't They want to give it back to you, I had to demand it for a long time until they gave me the money back.

- Gr33nDragon (10/5): 5 Stars - First time in Istanbul and we weren’t sure what to expect, however we had an absolutely wonderful stay. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are clean and tidy with air conditioning. Whats more the breakfast prepared on the terrace every morning is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend.
- Lost-Thomas-Berlin (10/5): Short stay - great expirience - The Esans Hotel is a small hotel, located very good in Sultanahmat in Istanbul. I was treating very friendly, always with smile and the staff is very helpful if you need some informations. The hotel is small, very clean, at the morning, on the roof top, i got very delicious breafast. The room i have booked was a basic room, but very well located, at the ground floor, the bathroom was very nice, clean and you get everything there: soap, shampoo, and some more nice things. The room, however basic, was not too small, with air condition, my bed was very comfy. You get also caffee or tea. I enjoyed a very short stay, but it was for me, a very pleasent time, tnak you to staff of Esans Hotel, see you next time :)
- DecBabies (10/5): Clean & convenient hotel - Excellent location. It’s only a few minutes walk to the major sightseeing spots - Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar. Nearby there’s an express laundry shop which you can get your laundry done & dried for 150 liras / kg. Also there is a hidden souvenir shop which is priced only half that of Grand Bazaar!

- Verified traveler (2/5): Pics can be misleading! - I selected this hotel based on the price and expected a value worth my money. Unfortunately, what it had to offer did not amount to 1/3 of what I paid. Zero comfort, terrible food! To ask for about $140 per night for this hotel is OUTRAGEOUS! It’s not worth $50!
- Judith (10/5): - Great stay at this Hotel…..I arrived VERY early and obviously my room was not ready. I got a complimentary breakfast and an opportunity to freshen up for the day. It is a perfect location to explore the Old City…..short walks to main sites and restaurants ….yet nice and quiet to sleep. Had a very spacious room and breakfast was delicious with good variety to choose from. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Will definitely recommend this hotel to friends visiting Istanbul and will stay here again. The only downside is that the shower door opens to the inside of the shower and the shower is not that big. Not sure how a big person will get in and out.
- Rhi21 (10/5): Hidden Gem! Great location and staff - A little late but have been on my to-do list to write this review. My mother and I traveled to Istanbul for the first time in celebration of her milestone birthday. We stayed at this boutique hotel that was booked through our travel agent. I selected the hotel based on the reviews and location in the Old City. While we did have a hiccup upon our arrival, our room was extremely too small, this issue we promptly resolved with the AMAZING staff. We were moved to a bigger room and our issue was resolved. We loved this hotel so much for 1. It’s comfortable rooms, 2. Wonderful staff, 3. Delicious breakfast, 4. Amazing views, and 5. Location—walking distance to the main sites in the Old City! Special shout outs to Engin, Ibrahim, Cietin, and Muhommed at the front desk who were super helpful and guided/made our tour reservations; and Hilal who provided a yummy breakfast each morning. Would love to stay here again, icing on the cake was that we had an opportunity to meet Mr. Esan who was also super warm and welcoming!
- Nabeel (10/5): Great stay! - Overall we had a great stay. The hotel is located very close to blue mosque and Hagia Sophia. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great with a variety of delicious and fresh dishes. My only complaint was the air conditioning. It got quite warm during the day and the air conditioning didn’t make much of a difference. We had our AC checked couple times but it didn’t make a difference. Thankfully the staff was able to accommodate a fan for us which I think should be in all rooms.

The big plus is that you can eat it on the terrace that has a Seaview.

- bm_ever (10/5): Good stay for a short Istanbul escape - A very fancy hotel with very authentic traditional room design. Very close to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and The palace. Also by tram you can reach the other spots like golden horn. Hotel staff is so kind and helpful. breakfast is average but fine and delicious. the terrace has a very nice sea view.
- menachem (10/5): - small 10 room hotel, 24 hours reception, walkable 500 mr to Aya Sofia and tram, super friendly staff, guest room for late check out, fresh tasty breakfast (salads, eggs, cakes). Cook on site ready to take requests. I took a single room in end of March 2023. Hot water, aircon working but not needed, small TV, all working and clean.
- Emina (10/5): - I really like the room I upgraded to. It was spacious, clean and the bed was super comfortable. The hotel is walking distance to the major attractions in the area and it's also a quiet area, no noise and safe. Would highly recommend especially to first time visitors to Istanbul.
