• Christos (9/5): Comfortable and convenient, but there were some shortcomings in the amenities and service - It was comfortable, close to the city center and the airport. I would choose it again. There was no mini fridge, the bedroom and the bathroom were in separate rooms, and the reception was only open for 4 hours a day.

• Tomasz (9/5): Superb - A great option for short budget stay in Berlin. The proximity to subway and Ostkreuz station makes it very easy to get anywhere in Berlin. Besides there is a lot of good eating options in the surroundings.
• Manon (9/5): Superb - The hotel served its purpose fantastically well so we could attend the Berlin half marathon. Situated in a quiet area with a few bars and cafes nearby. Located just a couple of minutes' walk away from Noldnerplatz (s-bahn 5) which is in zone B of the city, away from the centre of town but the train line in Noldnerplatz can take you straight to the main square of Alexanderplatz in around 20/30minutes. We had our own private bathroom but it was located across the hall (separate key for the bedroom and bathroom). The bedroom was large with a comfy bed and separate sofa to sit on. The bathroom had a powerful shower. Didn't see anyone in reception as we checked in late and left to explore each morning; but our room was serviced each day. They have a system for you to check in late if needs be (after 6pm when the reception is unmanned). Happily stay in the hotel again Nothing

• Martin (4/5): Disappointing - The location was very close to the train stop. That was really easy. The staff themselves realised that there was something wrong in the bathroom and actively did something against it. The bathroom had to be repaired during nighttime as the dirty water came back again and again. That was really loud and uncomforting. The WiFi also did not really work well in my room, for example on the bed. Thus, I had to use my own mobile data. The bed was also not a large bed as promised but two separate matresses that were put together. A compensation was not offered though and the reception can only be spoken to for a few hours during day activity time.

• Warner (4/5): No Penchant for the Hotel Pension - Coffee shoop around corner and a neighborhood train station. Felt like a dark vacant building. Lights were always off until activated by motion. You need a key to lock your room door from the INSIDE! The bathroom is in the hall and also need a key there to lock from the inside. Also for some weird reason shower head is positioned waist height. It seems more like a dog washing station than a shower. Management did communicate through app but never saw them. The lack of an elevator gets annoying.

• Daniel (7/5): Good room on a budget and convenient transport connection to the centre - A basic place to stay but very acceptable for the price. A great location very near the S-Bahn station for quick access to the city centre. Clean and quiet and easy to find. No lift means taking the stairs to the fourth floor, which for me was okay but others would find it challenging. The bathroom being separate across the hall is a little inconvenient but again an acceptable compromise for the price. No kettle in the room which would be nice to have.

I booked a room with a queen bed but got two small beds losely pushed together. TV didnt work becauase the cable was long gone. Not a big deal but different than advertised and not good enough for the price.
• Natália (7/5): For the 2 nights in Berlin it was okay. - The location of the hotel was quite nice, the trains are really close and you get to the centre of Berlin very easily. Our room was on 4th floor and there was no elevator. The bathroom was a bit outdated.

• Toolate (8/5): Perfect. - Perfect location, wide room and had the chance to have the highest floor so had a great view on the street and lots of sunlight. The fact that the bathroom was separated from the room wasn't a problem at all + it was very clean. There weren't proper black-out curtains so it was pretty bright in the morning in the room... The fridge also made a loud constant noise during the night so I had to unplug it for the night. No Lift, so it was pretty hard to climb the 4 staircases up to my floor with a super heavy bag, not so convenient.

• Vijesh (10/5): Good value for money, close to the city center by train - Very clean, bright. I had a room with 2 beds, so the size was pretty good. The bathroom was detached and outside, but private. Enjoyed the hot showers. Location was very close to the station. A couple of restaurants downstairs, but lots of restaurants if you walk 15 minutes. Area is very quiet. Good wifi. City center is about 20 mins by train. The staff is available for only a short time. The area is not lively, quite dead. The walk-up is difficult, if you get a room on the higher floors. No AC (fine, it's Europe!), but no fans either. Gets very hot in the summer.

• Jo-jo9089 (8/5): Short and sweet stay. Offered everything we needed at a good price. - Nice big room with big ensuite. Was nice and clean and felt inviting. The suburb was really sweet. Location in general was okay. Took about 30 minutes to get where we wanted to go. But I think that is pretty normal for Berlin. All in all it was a comfortable stay. The location was not ideal for where we wanted to go but the price was unbeatable in the time we went (Euro Finals) The 4th floor room with no elevator was a downside after full days of being on the move but also not critical.

However our room was on 4th floor & there was no elevator. It was difficult for my parents & carry all the bags upstairs. They don't have facility for early check-in or even to keep the bags at the hotel which is bit annoying.

• Pip (8/5): You get what you pay for: clean, comfortable, cheap - Our 'comfort' twin room on the ground floor was clean, comfortable, cheap and good value for money. The accommodation is only a few minutes walk from the train station which is one stop from Ostkreuz where apparently there are plenty of opportunities for breakfast on Tuesdays when the delightful, very friendly nearby Nadia and Kostas's cafe is closed More information on booking e.g. this is a 4 floor basic 'pension style' accommodation with no lift, no breakfast availability and very little in the way of cafes in the area would be helpful. Reception is only open for a short time in the afternoon, otherwise no staff are on site. Arrangements will be made to collect keys from a key safe for arrivals after 6pm. The accommodation required payment in advance as we were arriving late, booking.com doesn't have a facility for this. In the end, after much frustration, I was forced to make an international phone call to make payment in advance. A very poor arrangement on behalf of the accommodation.

Can not find any responsible between 6 pm - 2pm. They only works between 2-6 pm. Cant left luggages before check in or after check out. We had to carry all belongings with us until we checked in.
