Guest Reviews
- Nick (10/5): - Great property for a city trip. Friendly staff and comfortable bed. Could not wish for a better location.
- Scott (8/5): - Overall, we enjoyed our stay here for the short time we were in Paris. It’s is a great location. The hotel is older, so no air conditioning which made the nights uncomfortable. However, the staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. They were able to provide us with an extra fan. When we checked out they were able to keep our luggage for the day and when we returned they even found a pair of shoes we left in the room and kept them at the desk for us. I would stay here again if I visit in the cooler months.
- Michal (8/5): - Really nice for the money . Very close to Louvre . We did louvre , E. Rover in a day . Breakfast is pretty poor selection so we went to supermarket just behind the corner and receptionist let us use the tables downstairs . Really nice people .
- Samantha (10/5): - ..
- Barbara (8/5): - Friendly, helpful staff, lively neighborhood, excellent dining.
- Sara (8/5): - Friendly staff and well located.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good value - Good location, good size room and friendly staff. Shower was also nice, had everything we needed. We did not try the breakfast.
- Linda (10/5): Excellent. Highly recommend it. - We booked the family room. One adult and 3 kids. It was clean and spacious. Really lovely room. The staff was helpful and they let us leave the luggage in their storage room when we arrived in the early morning so that we could start sightseeing immediately. The Hotel is really convenient in terms of location. In walking distance to both Louvre and Montmartre and lots of Metro stops nearby.
- marc-paul (6/5): - The hotel says they are a two-star property and that seems right. It is not a modern hotel. For example, they use a physical key attached to a cone that weights several ounces. It's rather inconvenient to carry around in one's pocket. There is an elevator but it says it only carries one person at a time (except, oddly, for families). Also, there is no air conditioning although they did provide a small oscillating fan. Otherwise the bed was comfy and the shower adequate. This would be a good choice for a young, single person on a budget. The lively neighborhood was interesting with lots of food options. My only complaint is that their wifi is terribly slow. My phone on 5G was faster. If an internet connection is important to you then I cannot recommend the hotel.
- Pablo (10/5): - It is very centric and around the corner the subway, it is the second time that I have been.
- Tomasz (8/5): - Very small room.
- Maite (10/5): - I liked it very much!
Bed mattress were very firm for my taste but others might enjoy them. I will return! :)
- Ayako (8/5): - The hotel is very clean and well maintained. All the staff are friendly and the location of the hotel is great, in the center of Paris!
The room doesn’t have a fan, so it might be uncomfortable when the weather gets hot. Luckily it wasn’t a problem when we stayed there as it was pretty cool outside. Also there is no electric kettle in the room, so you have to go to the reception to get hot water when you want to have tea or coffee in the room. The staff was so helpful to give us some hot water though!
- Warren (8/5): Super Stuff - Lovely affordable hotel in a brilliant district of Paris with lots of places to eat and drink and watch the world go by. Hotel was super, with brilliant and lovely people working hard and friendly. Thank you for the room fan which really helped because it was hot, hot, hot in Paris when we stayed.
- Steve (10/5): - The staffs were very friendly and helpful.
- Evelyn (8/5): - There was confusion because Hotels.com said the parking was free on the mobile site but paid on the computer site. The staff was lovely about trying to sort it out. They were also helpful about finding a pharmacy to get Covid testing for the flight. Overall a good experience.
- Mandy (8/5): - Comfortable beds, large shower, very clean
Would have liked to have coffee making facilities
- Maribel (6/5): Somewhat good and bad trip - The shower had a litlle mold each day that we were there the maid never cleaned it we also eat pizza in the room and when the naid supposedly clean the room we came back to the room and the box was the we also saw that under the beds there was a lot of dirt the front desk was good very helpful and spoke frence English and spanish also very good with directions even thow the metro was not working the location was a little hudden witch was good and bad we had to figure out were it was the good part was that we did not hear traffic oh and when people arrived late to thier rooms there was a lot of noise aris was fantastic
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel is very convenient, close to two subway lines. Lots restaurants nearby, walking the city. However during the night you can hear lots of noises from passing by cars, even the hotel is in a quite street.
- Shay-Simone (10/5): Great staff. Excellent location. - The hotek staff were accommodating and knowledgeable
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property was in a great location. Close to public transit and also walkable to restaurants and bars. The three person room wasn't huge but there was enough room for everyone in our group. There was a fan in the room and utilizing that, as well as opening the window, helped keep the room cool during the hot summer. Our room was on the second floor so we took the stairs, but it did look like there was an elevator that you might be able to use. Each time you leave the property, you leave your room key at the front desk and then you can pick it back up when you return. Overall, very satisfied with the stay at this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent service & convenient location. Nice & clean room. Stuffs are very nice & helpful wonderful people & wonder property condition.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - They were very accommodating to change our room for us due to the extreme heat.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, beautiful building and very helpful staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The Hotel was clean and neat and located in a nice area of Paris.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location, good value, friendly helpful staff, will definately recommend
- Vivian (8/5): - Ideal location to see everything in the city. We mostly walked and used the metro a couple of times. The rooms are a bit small but that’s typical for Europe. No need to add breakfast there is a bakery and coffee shop near by!
- Jo (8/5): - Great little hotel in a lovely busy district. The hotel is comfortable and clean and the staff very helpful and polite. Their family rooms were very spacious and the room was cleaned daily. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel so can't comment on that, but overall, a great little hotel in a great area of paris - very central to everything.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was pretty small and the beds are not good fit for a tall person like me. No AC in the room. Could be uncomfortable in summer
- Verified traveler (10/5): Positive experience - Definitely would recommend. A great location that is very close to the Metro. Friendly staff. You do have to leave your room at the desk though, which I always find a bit strange. My only complaint is that someone in housekeeping left their bottle of cleaner in our room, but that's just a minor complain. Otherwise, it was clean and the room was larger than I expected.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Really nice hotel in an amazing location - Have no complaints about the hotel itself, staff could make an effort to be nicer / more efficient.
- Ann (10/5): Excellent stay in great location close to Metro - Great location. Friendly staff, perfect room. I was there to explore Paris for one day and just needed a room for sleeping. This was a great place!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location is perfect! The room and the hotel are very clean and comfortable. However I can hear neighbors when they open or close the door in the morning. But this is the only disadvantage.
- Chris (10/5): Happy to recommend it. - Very pleasant, clean, and comfortable. Wifi. Friendly staff. Nice and quiet (it's in a cul-de-sac). 20 mins walk from Gare du Nord. Happy to recommend it.
- lulu (8/5): Nice hotel close to the centre of town - Nice hotel with pleasant staff would recommend for a few days stay if mostly needed for a comfortable place to stay
- Miguel (10/5): Comfortable stay, at reasonable price - The area was fantastic, with loads of eating places within walking distance. Nearest metro was only a short walk away. Room space was at a premium, but there was still enough space to make it feel roomie. Reception staff were all really helpful and informative. Couldn't really fault anything.
Would stay again, if we don't decide on a different area.
- Maia (10/5): Clean comfortable safe basic hotel with free WIFI - We had a clean, comfortable en-suite room with free WIFI, in this small hotel half way between Gare du Nord train station (Eurostar) and the Louvre. We walked to the Louvre through in 15 minutes, the station in 10 and Sacre Couer in 15. We didn't bother buying breakfast there but walked round the corner onto the main street for many wonderful options.
- Penny (8/5): Great location and good value for money. - Nice hotel with a great bathroom although there were a couple of yobs drinking on their balcony one night and they echoed terribly. Also never got the hang of the rules governing tea making but thats all part of the rich tapestry of travel ;)
The staff are friendly and speak excellent English, the beds are comfy and the wifi is excellent.
- Sarah (10/5): Great place to stay - Really nice hotel close to a metro station and close to nice bars and restaurants. Also in walkable distance of many places such as la louvre. Nice room, on the smaller side but this wasn't an issue as still plenty of storage space and nice bathroom. Room cleaned everyday, bed mad early and towels etc replaced. Friendly staff, free wifi although a bit temperamental, but can pay if you want an upgrade or can use a computer downstairs for free. Would definitely stay here again if coming back to Paris.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Convenient, Clean and courteous employees - It was accessible location with hotel away from busy road but close enough for the metro line.
- JT (2/5): Two star for a reason - It would be worth paying a little more to stay elsewhere. This was the worst hotel of our Europe trip and very disappointing. Lots of things broken (safe, some lights, etc.) or missing (no kettle, no fridge, no storage, no air con and no fan). Worst of all was that there was water dripping onto you in the shower from the roof
(presumably from the shower above - not nice). Staff very unhelpful and seemed to resent being bothered. Perhaps they spend all day making fake good reviews of this hotel because it certainly didn't live up to
the ratings.
- Kevin (4/5): Not Amazing. - From the moment we checked in, the service definitely was lacking in many areas. The room they provided us with had a wet, moldy smell and when we asked for a different room, the hotel attendant at the front desk was pretty rude about it. And spraying Febreeze in the room does not mask the wet, moldy smell by the way. Later on in the night, we asked another hotel attendant to help us order pizza because of the language barrier with the pizza place and he was very hesitant to help us out. 20 minutes later, we decided to walk to McDonalds.
The beds were ok but the washroom is TINY. I am 6-foot, 215 lbs and I could barely move in that bathroom without hitting something. The sink is half the size of a conventional sink and the shower wasn't very good at all.
We were only in Paris for 1 night and I am glad we didn't have to stay in this hotel much longer.
- Caterina (8/5): Nice staff, two star hotel - Clean rooms, very small, no a/c
- Kate (8/5): Affordable simple clean hotel - We wanted somewhere inexpensive and central - this fit the bill. The room was tiny and 'bare bones' but that was fine with us - we just wanted a place to touch down between sight seeing. We really appreciated that we could walk everywhere - didn't have to take the metro once.
- Sally (8/5): - Excellent position to explore Paris from. Near Metro station. Nice boulangerie just around the corner that did good breakfast. Comfortable room for 4. Friendly staff on reception.
- Eugene (10/5): Quiet place close to everything - Nice location, clean, friendly, very quiet at night. Actually, during the day as well at weekend; in the week it was very noisy because of refurbishment of the house next to it. Hope the works would not last for long.
Friendly staff, every little help. Did not try their breakfast, as there lots of nice little cafes around.
Metro within a few minute walk. Great restaurants nearby. Walking distance to Louvre.
- Giovanni (10/5): Great hotel to stay! - Nice quite hotel
- Kenneth (10/5): Lovely place - Hotel is conveniently located to the metro. Near the metro that will take you to the underground entrance of the Louvre (no long line). Plenty of restaurants around the area too. Not far from all the tourist places. A couple of minutes South of Gard Du Nord. Hotel is very clean, the staff is very friendly and can speak English. They were very helpful in giving me different options on how to get to CDG and prices. They will hold your luggage after check out if needed. Did not eat at hotel so can't say anything about their meals. I will definitely return here.
- Yonas (4/5): Little bit good - Little bit good no that much
- Caroline (8/5): Great Location. Very Clean Rooms - I had one night in this hotel and it was in a perfect location. The room was exceptionally clean for Paris and the staff were really helpful when i asked for advice about getting places. There was some work going on in the building next door and that started around 9am on Saturday. But we were warned about this.
- Yara (8/5): Great small hotel in very central area - This is the third time that I stay at this hotel and, again, was very pleased. Booked because there was a promotion on. The hotel is a seven minute walk to Grands Boulevards underground station. There are several eateries on the main road, and nearby is the Le Chartier restaurant, which serves French food on beautiful surrounds (wood panelling hall). The hotel itself is on the small side. The staff are very, very friendly and accommodating. There is a lift, although small and slow, but it does the job. The double room was basic, but comfortable, with working heating, nice beds, and a digital TV (although a very small screen). The bathroom was of very decent size, with toiletries, and good shower, although the towels were a bit on the rough side. The window looked into an inner courtyard, so no view, really. There was renovation work going on, on the outside and next door, but had been forewarned on website; no bother either, as work was carried out during the day. Free wifi available at very decent speed. Breakfast available but at extra cost, but round the corner, on the main road there are a few places to have breakfast. Overall, a great stay at decent service and price. Will return.
- james (jinggang) (2/5): Bad service with airport shuttle bus booking - we stay for two night , when we check in, the reception said she gave us a biggest room and very quiet. after checked in ,the room is clean, but very small. room window face to patio, there was renovation, very dirty.so we never open the window and curtain.no coffee machine, if you need drink tea, have to go down stair ask reception for hot water.
hotel location is very good, close to subway.
but don't take the airport shuttle bus which the hotel offer, it's horrible experience.
the reception help us booked the airport shuttle bus, but after 30 minutes the bus still not show up. we have to rush to the street, catch a taxi to the CDG. we almost missed our flight just of the stupid shuttle bus.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Noise from building work on all sides - Room dated - small and with an unpleasant smell.
Location good but building site spoiled the experience
- PAUL (8/5): Good value & great sized room. - We stayed three nights, and the hotel was in an OK neighbourhood close to numerous pubs and restaurants. Our room was the biggest that we have ever encountered in Paris, and bonus of being on ground floor...no wrestling with undersized elevators. Continental breakfast was adequate and compared favourably price-wise with local cafes. Our only complaint was that staff couldn't tell us where to find a laundromat...which is a fairly basic information need. But on a cost basis this was great value.
- Otilia (6/5): A Great stay in a budget hotel. - Enjoyed our stay. The staff were great and the room was perfect for our needs as we had under 2s. Had plenty of room to run around. It was airy and very local to transport, shops and plenty of cafés.
We were aware of the construction work during our booking. We were surprised the level of noise was not that high. Only a couple of hours in the morning but this did not affect us. The lift didn't work a couple of occasions but that was resolved quickly. Still enjoyed out stay at De La Cite. Thank you
- Cory (8/5): Great hotel - Great location and the hotel was in great condition.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Basic hotel with friendly service and convenient location
- Ellina (6/5): giant hammer - On the day of check out I slept for 4 hours because of really loud noise made by workers which started about 8am. The sound could be compared to giant hammer and a drill which are in use on the wall right in front of your head. However, the service, location and cleanness the rooms of the hotel are perfect (for its price). But if you want to sleep until 9 am at least I don't recommend you to stay there
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was nice, but was a bit load at night. Our last night there was a party in our hallway and the hotel staff did nothing to stop it. Besides that our stay was good.
- Julita (8/5): Brilliant little place - Perfect location! You can walk to quite a few main attractions, metro station just a minute's walk away. Brilliant.
The room was on a small side, but we had a little balcony and it was clean and comfortable otherwise.
Would definitely recommend and would stay here again myself!
- Sarah (10/5): Clean, pretty, good value for money - After reading a few reviews I wasn't sure what to expect, but this place is lovely. The room was clean and pretty and even had a little balcony. It is also perfectly situated off of a little side street which means it was quiet, however I was woken up early by building works, but this was hardly the fault of the hotel. The room was perhaps on the small side for two people, but only if you're planning on spending a lot of time there. If you want a nice tranquil hotel, with pretty and clean rooms to lay your head and have a lie in the next day then this place is well worth the money.
- Jeff (10/5): - Everything was great about this hotel except for the construction work on the building next to us that started around 8AM the second morning of our stay. No fault of the hotel of course.
- STU (6/5): Pretty close to some main areas - Hotel is on a quiet street north of the notre dame area, and about 1 hr walk to the eiffel tower. There are a lot of restaurants within 3-5 min walk from the hotel. Front desk is 24 hours and the staff spoke perfectly understandable English and were very helpful. There is a small lift to use to get your bags to the upper floors. Room for 3 people was very crowded, but can't complain for the price. You can sign up for breakfast for 8 euros, but like I mentioned, there are many options close by. For a place to park your stuff and a place to sleep without frills while exploring paris, not a bad deal.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Hotel closed to all it's convenient - They explained everything if we asked about something like restaurant, etc.
- Qinze (10/5): Nice Stay - Very nice stay. Lots of good restaurants around. Only thing not perfect is you have to pay for continuous wifi, 5 EUR for one day and 10 for three if I remember correctly. Otherwise you have to keep re logging and fill the form for free wifi.
- S M (8/5): Small room but great staff - Hotel was clean and located close to a metro station, which made it easy to get around in Paris. The room was small but reasonable for the price you pay. The downside was that the free wifi in the rooms was rather slow, OK for checking emails and things but not if you had other things to do (eg banking etc). There was no kettle or tea making facilities in the room (or even that many cups, we got some plastic cups that were kind of flimsy). However the staff there were all extremely friendly and helpful and were happy to provide us with a jug of boiled water when we asked. They were also really helpful and showed us how to get from the hotel to the underground. Overall, the hotel room was average but the hotel staff were excellent.
- Kobus (6/5): Average short-stay city visit hotel - All in all a pretty average hotel. Staff not overly friendly or helpful, room small but functional and clean. Did not eat any meals at the hotel. The area is OK, with a grocery store around the corner, and some pubs/restaurants, and a few metro stops within walking distance.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Pleasant stay - We booked a twin room for 3 nights for £48/ night. It was a pleasant stay. It is situated in the heart of paris yet the rooms are quiet. The room was beautiful and clean. Some towels had stains on them, and there were no refill of shower gel, so we had to use our own for the 2nd and 3rd night. The heater was not warm enough. The staff were nice and helpful. Overall, I would recommend this hotel due to its bargain price and great location.
- Phil (10/5): Nice hotel fairly central . - Had a great time and will be back soon. Will use this hotel again.
- Sarah (10/5): Ideal - My friend and I were in Paris alone for the first time and chose this hotel. It was far nicer than I expected for the price and the employees were very nice. They all speak a variety of languages and I think it was great since neither of us speak French. I would stay there again.
- wendy (8/5): Great little place, lovely staff ideal location - We stayed for a weekend with two teenage daughters in a separate room. Staff were lovely and helpful and the rooms newly decorated. Ours was a loft room which was fab and quiet too. Daughters room had balcony on to the front and both were clean and tasteful. Location is great 15 mins walk from station but near enough to all of central palace.
- Raj (8/5): Nice - The hotel staff is really nice and helpful and hotel is located very near to the metro station.
- Greg (10/5): Great Location Quiet Street - Great location, quiet street excellent value for money. Staff very friendly.
- mairead (10/5): easy, relaxed, quiet, central hotel in paris 9th arr - the receptionists were very helpful at all times. the triple room was very clean and relaxing if just a little narrow for three beds. we had breakfast in different cafes very close by on each of the 4 mornings and the restaurants in the area were also very good. really enjoyed our stay. thank you.
- Joanne (10/5): Was great but beds are very hard
- Hotel staff lovely and helpful, beds almost like a plank to sleep on though
- Bruce (8/5): Holiday in Paris - Overall excellent....would suggest a kettle and coffee in the room.
- Peter (6/5): Adequate for those on a budget - The location of this hotel was key for choosing it. It is very basic, in a decent neighborhood, with a generally safe feel. Although the room was just adequate overall, I take into consideration the great location, low nightly price and the fact that the hot water and the heat worked very well and will rate it a little higher for those reasons. If you are not concerned with extra frills, are on a budget, and will be visiting in the winter and plan on walking or taking the metro then this hotel will work for you.
- alex (2/5): Terrible - The hotel are terrible. No have good service for latinos. The personal at night are not polite.
- James (8/5): Great Location - Location is perfect for convenience as it is close to theatre district, only a few metro stops to all the sights in Paris and parking is nearby too. There are plenty of good restaurants and shopping opportunities galore! But there is a bit of shadiness in the side streets/alleys. Stick to the main streets. Overall hotel is very clean and the staff was always available to answer questions and give suggestions.
- S (10/5): Nice hotel close to the city centre - The hotel is in a very good location, lots of eateries close by for breakfast lunch and dinner. Room was a little small but very comfortable. Staff were helpful and easy to talk to.
- Jan (8/5): Pleasantly surprised! - Hotel was close to restaurants and easy walk to Opera where we caught the hop on hop off bus.
Manger and reception staff were all friendly and very helpful. They clearly have a lot of repeat visitors and many business people.
Room small for 4 but functional and clean. It was better than we expected and did not need anymore. For only a 2 star hotel, we were very satisfied - especially for Paris.
- Eloise (10/5): Perfect! - Lovely hotel, clean, confortable, the staff were very helpful and kind, would definitely stay again!
- Brian (10/5): A great stsy - A fantastic stay. Highly recommend.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - Hotel situated in a good position very close to the underground in a nice area with lots of bar pubs e restaurant! Clean e warm room! Hotel staff very gentile! I will raccomanded this hotel!
- Steven (10/5): GREAT Hotel for the money! - Stayed with my family of four over the Veteran's Day holiday. Hotel location is perfect for many reasons:
1. Two Bistro's within two minute walk - they serve a great breakfast too
2. Three supermarkets within five minute walk
3. Five minute walk to the famous Chartier restaurant - it was great/delicious experience
4. Five minute walk to the Metro
5. Five minute walk to Hard Rock Cafe
6. Five minute walk to Japanese, Korean, Thai, Indian, and Kabob restaurants
Staff were very helpful (Julia was superb) when asked for assistance with directions, restaurant recommendations, and reserving a taxi for our 5:15AM departure to the airport (50 euro for a family of four with bags).
Room for four was adequate in size, beds and pillows were very comfortable, bathroom was clean with good water pressure, and it was quiet after a long day of sightseeing. Also, the room has a safe to lock up passports and other valuables.
For the price, location, and friendly staff, you would be hard pressed to find a better deal. We would gladly stay there again.
- Aimil (8/5): Nice hotel walking distance to sights - The room was small however it had everything you need....comfortable bed, storage, a small desk and bathroom. It is around corner from a busy street and very quiet. We where able to walk to The Louvre, Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe to name a few.
Lots of cafes close by ....McDonalds and Starbucks too.
- Kim Funk (8/5): Good home base - Metro was one street over so easy to go there and back. Only stayed one night but it met my needs and was clean and usable. Would stay again
- Scott (6/5): - Good hotel for the price, decent location and great staff.
- Dolly (8/5): Nice hotel, quiet area - Stayed in this hotel due to waiting for an onward connecting flight the following day. Whilst the hotel rooms are small, they are clean and great as a base to see central Paris and for sleeping in!
- ma (10/5): 10min's walk from Theatre de Opera - Staffs are very kind. When I had a trouble, he took care of me very much.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent location - Great value, excellent location, plenty of restaurants in the proximity, 30 min walking to Sacre Coure or Notre Dame, parking for 19 EUR/day within 3 min walking distance (Rex Atrium), I found breakfast pricey but plenty of other options nearby.
- D (6/5): Just regular--okay place to stay--not special - I was only passing through alone, but if I were there for holidays, I would not choose this as my location to "spoil" myself. If you only want a place to sleep, fine, go here.
- Bingo (2/5): PAY HIGH BUT VERY UNCOMFORTABLE - When I book this hotel I don't know this hotel is not equipped with air-conditioned. But this hotel charged me Euro 165 per night without breakfast. The day When I checked in, the outdoor temperature in Paris is about 31°C. You can imagine how can I sleep well. This is a 2 star hotel and has a very old passenger lift(for 2 persons only). If you book Paris hotel during summer, you must ensure the hotel must be equipped with air conditioned facilities.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Ok hotel; close to metro ('Grands Boulevards') - Hotel was very difficult to find without my iphone (which chose a select time to run out of batteries) and only an overall map of Paris, so had to ask a number of people for directions after wandering vaguely around, and in and out of Cite Bergere (which runs parallel to Cite Rougement) for about an hour in the rain. Pretty easy to miss the little side street unless you know exactly where it is - but my fault for not expecting this.
Hotel itself was fine; tiny room but totally expected for Paris. Didn't spend much time in the hotel in any case. Bed was fine; hard enough to sleep on. I didn't have any towels the first night but was too tired to ask until the morning and they fixed it up easily no problem. the hotel's wifi cut in an out and was fairly unreliable so spent time in one of the many cafes dotted around Paris with free wifi (and fast) for this anyway.
Summary: no problems using it as a base to travel, would recommend for people not expecting to do more than sleep here. Anything more would likely be difficult.
- Steven (8/5): Stay at this hotel - My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night while visiting Paris. The location is very good for accessing the Metro and a very good location in the city for activities to get to. For the value it was a good deal. We would stay there again..
- Mike (4/5): Poor 2 star hotel in poo riden neighbourhood - Wallpaper coming off walls. Very hot in rooms. Paper thin walls. Bad neighbourhood with homeless people and human waste on streets near by. You get what you pay for in a 2 star hotel I guess. Oh and I missed previous reviews on trip advisor from 'swingers' that stay their from time to time.
- Catriona (8/5): Good budget hotel near metro - I booked a single room and was pleased to see that it had a double bed! The room was small but more than sufficient for a few days stay. The room was very quiet, no road noise at all. Great location just 2 minutes from Grand Boulevards metro station so I only ever had to change lines once to get to the major sights.
Friendly staff and clean room. I didn't have breakfast at the hotel, instead choosing to have it at one of the nearby cafes. I'd recommend Bistro de la Banque for a convenient evening meal if you don't want to travel too far from the hotel - friendly staff and very reasonably priced food.
- Susan (10/5): City break - Central location. Perfect for budget city break. Walking distance from Eurostar station.
- Angeliki (6/5): good location - The hotel is pretty central which is its probably its greatest advantage. its a 5 minute walk from the Grand Boulevard metro station. There are plenty restaurants, fast food, and bars around, and some of them are open till late which is very convenient if you want a bite or a drink before going to bed and after the metro closes. the hotel itself is OK, nothing fancy, but didn't expect fancy considering the price and location. The room was small but comfortable and really clean. The staff could be a little more informative, e.g. we got the guy at the reception to call a taxi for us for the Gare-Nord and what he forgot to tell us is that for just the call the taxis in Paris charge 10 euro, when we could get a taxi from the street for no charge. 10 minute ride almost cost us 20 euro which could have been avoided if the receptionist told us about it.
- Leonardo (10/5): Worth the money - This two stars hotel is really worth the money. For someone like me, who has lived in Paris before and knows the usual standard of Parisian hotels this was a good surprise. Room and bathroom were both recently renovated and clean. I would avoid the hotel between June and September though, as the hotel has no AC and Paris gets super hot during those months. Other than that, great choice!
