Pool may need updating and cleaning so we didn’t use it but it can be used. Lobby/dining area is open 24hrs for water, coffee and popcorn. It’s a hotel one can come back to since it’s near small restaurants and even stores and 7-elevens.

markcM4106ZJ (10/5): First class central boutique hotel, no thrills but service is bang on - Personally, I thought this hotel was amazing, I didn't eat here but I did stay a whole week, I would describe it as boutique, unless i am mistaken the swimming pool is in the lobby area (which is not ideal and accounts for the fact I never saw anyone in it) The staff are very attentive and immediately on the case to resolve issues especially Jessica, but they also leave you alone and let you come and go without fuss. Jessica helped me resolved a banking/telephone issue by allowing me to use her own mobile and when I stayed an extra few days she arranged so i wouldn't have t o check in/check out again especially since I had a tour booked that day, excellent service, friendly great rooms and 9 mins in a taxi to where the tours go, for the price you would have to be extremely picky to want more

She insists on taking care of everything you need, and the hotel truly is a diamond in the rough. Amazing street food in the surrounding area, less than a 5 min walk from Ratchathewi sky train station. A very safe & authentic neighborhood.
lilissurianir (4/5): Bad shower water & a run down hotel - The shower in room 311 is not functioning well. In a seconds it automatically changed from warm water to a very hot/very cold water. We can hear sounds from outside very clearly. Kids crying and tantrum at the middle of the night. I'm sorry, i won't recommend this hotel to others.

The Diamond city hotel is the best hotel I have ever seen during my Thailand Visit. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and cared for. The team here truly knows how to make guests feel special. Our room was spacious, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable!.. Beautifully decorated rooms with modern amenities. The location is unbeatable! Close to all the major attractions and just a short walk from great restaurants and shops. Situated in the heart of the city, this hotel made it easy for us to explore the local sights. The breakfast was fantastic with a wide variety of fresh options. The hotel restaurant was superb. We had some of the best meals of our trip right here! I would love to stay at Diamond city hotel, Bangkok for every time I visit to Bangkok now onwards.
consiliumauk (2/5): Book somewhere else - This Hotel is one of the worst I have stayed in, in Thailand. Almost everything is old, dirty and broken. The staff don't care, after being awoken at 6am by an alarm inside the room, he tried to tell me it was my fault for not selecting do not disturb, but I had videod this last night because it was not working. Nor was the TV, the reception/telephone, the room was dusty and smelled bad. Not all the lights worked. The place looks like a second hand shop just filled with old tat. Lucky I took videos and pictures and we checked out before we finished our stay because it was that bad. I cannot upload the videos on here, but you will see how bad it is if you check out their Google reviews. I wouldn't let a street dog stay there.

S124VLellad (8/5): Comfortable stay in Bangkok - Stayed here for two nights as a solo traveller. Was abit nervous as after I booked there was a lot of negative reviews. However, I’m glad I didn’t listen. I had a very comfortable stay and was easy to get taxi to and from areas of interest. The room was huge and after 3 weeks of travelling being able to watch Netflix was a huge plus. Very clean and plenty of amenities in the bathroom. The best bit was the staff, the ladies were so polite and lovely and always checking on you in the lobby. Made me feel very safe and welcomed. One thing though, there is a swimming pool but it’s directly in the lobby and there is no privacy. If there was more cover it be more useable. Only flaw but delighted with my stay!

They offer 24 hours of free popcorn and orange juice to all guests. The breakfast is simple yet hearty and delicious. During our last day in bangkok, we need to stay at the hotel for a while and even though we already checked out, Jessica, the staff at the reception was still very attentive to our needs. Amenities are simple but enough to make your stay comfortable. Will recommend this humble hotel.

Robertus (4/5): Highly overrated hotel, no good value for money - I had high hopes when I selected this hotel from the website, beautiful pictures, great descriptions, but unfortunately the reality was very disappointing: Clearly a hotel without investments, not even the plants are watered. Overrated hotel, not very friendly, not clean and website description not accurate. Poor breakfast, poor choice and not hygienic or comfortable, swimming pool is small and dark and inside, in my 22 days i saw only once that people used it..Deluxe room was spacious, although not as spacious and nice as the website photos promised. Two big plusses though: good wifi and an excellent location. Overall, there should be plenty of better deals in Bangkok...

Breakfast is just for name, swimming pool is very bad and insects inside it. You cant smoke or drink near swimming pool. If you are late even for 1 minute in check-out they will charge 100 bucks for it. I would not recommend this hotel and people should avoid this hotel.
Verified traveler (4/5): Close to the most famous mall , MBK mall / centre - I just stayed there for one night , as soon as i entered into my room i felt like something is wrong , but i didnt check anything at first but when I fell asleep I thought to check whats wrong with the room, I found out that my balcony door was locked but the window lock was left open but it was blocked with the curtain , if I had slept without checking it , I could be robbed so easily But still the receptionist was good & the guard was good too

Pay the extra money for another hotel, or even less money for a hostel- this hotel looks nothing like the photos. To begin, the room was a half hour late after our afternoon arrival. The first room they brought us to smelt as though it was douced in pesticides (which it was). We walked in an immediately walked out to get another room. This room was equally as gross, but without the smell. The sheets were dirty when we arrived and we had to ask for housekeeping to clean the room both days. After two nights in this room, we came back one afternoon to a construction zone on our floor. The flooring was ripped out and the rooms were empty and about to be demod. They actually forgot we were on that floor. We went to the front desk and complained, they gave us another room, then after more complaining they upgraded us to their “nicest” room, which had roaches. When we asked for compensation for the incovinience of moving 4 times in 3 days, the customer service man urged us to write a bad review, as he was not going to give us any money back. Don’t let this hotel put a damper in your Bangkok experience, just stay somewhere else.

Isaiah (2/5): Worst place I ever been. - The service was terrible. They don't make up your rooms unless you tell them you want them to. The place doesn't look like the pictures in the website or on Hotel.com. it was deceiving. Air con was leaking, cockroaches in rooms and the smell of cigarettes was lingering in the air. The swimming pool got mosquitoes and it looks like a public pond rather than a pool. The snacks and drinks also deceiving as you drink from dispensers rather than bottled waters.

Downtown area with cheaper price..3 star hotel so that you got what have paid for..nearby street market in the evening is amazing..Just one downside..Breakfast was not ready at 7. I would definitely recommend this one..
Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible experience, I don't recommend. - This hotel was very far out of the way and in not a great neighborhood. When we arrived the staff seemed confused as to what we were doing there and they made us wait because the room wasn't ready yet. The lobby looked unfinished and we couldn't swim in the pool due to the unsanitary conditions (bugs). The hallways smelled like cat pee and the room itself smelled of mold. The bathroom was not very clean and poorly lit. We needed to make a photocopy and they charged us for the service. On our way out the following morning we were advised that they charged for the bottled water in the room. All in all the experience was terrible. Definitely do not recommend this hotel.
John (8/5): - Stayed at hotel for 6 nights had problem when first checked in but moved me to a much better room same day staff super friendly. The hotel is a little dated but it’s reflected in the price location is good with trains buses and tuk tuk or taxi plentiful. So many places to eat both street food or restaurants is a good base to get around the city.. breakfast was ok nice to have free tea coffee and snacks 24/7 I would stay there again

Verified traveler (6/5): Diamond City ok but not exceptional - They say "in room safe", however this is a padlock on a cupboard which requires a 1000THB deposit. Did not like leaving key at reception on top of counter for anyone to reach in and potentially access your room. Not secure. Breakfast was ok, but no variety.

Syed (4/5): Worst experience - Member of Expedia staff told me that hotel has good rating & he booked superior room but day before travel i found out after checking the reviews that hotel isn't really good which was absolutely correct, at the hotel people who came after me were checking in and i had to wait for hours and half, after asking the reason for delay i was told that superior room isn't available now upgraded to deluxe room, so i went to my room & i was shocked that the room was so outdated very low lights and old furniture felt like haunted room i didn't feel comfortable at all so i refused to stay in so called deluxe room, then was shown another deluxe room it has paper thin wall i could hear people next room & kids were crying i was so tired of long flights & wanted to sleep but obviously it wasn't possible when i could hear people talking & kids crying in next room, i went to reception and got angry that long story short then i was shown 2 different superior rooms both were out date and front gill of aircons were broken wasn't swinging s no air out which i had to tell them the didn't care at all i was tired & wanted to just rest so i got bit better room than the other & guess what after moving into the room went for shower & found out that pipe without shower head which they fixed it, this hotel was a nightmare, i could have booked any other if was informed correctly by Expedia Booking staff.

Jolene (6/5): Dirty & Run-down hotel on a small road, but comfy. - The room had 2 cockroaches when I first entered after the room was just cleaned. The pipes and tap is already rusty, and ceilings haven’t been repainted or maintained. However, good water temperature and pressure, and comfortable mattress on the double bed (avoid the single beds as they’re relatively soft). Great friendly staff and 24hr snack is salty popcorn and tea/ coffee/ orange juice. Free morning buffet breakfast is quite nice. There’s green curry with chicken, spicy stir-fried thin rice noodles, cornflakes with milk, choice of tea or coffee or orange juice, and bread. Air conditioning in room was strong as well. Generally despite the lack of maintenance, still value-for-money stay.
Frederick (10/5): Inexpensive and located close to BTS - I travel to China, India & Thailand every year and I use Bangkok as my hub. I have stayed at this hotel each time. It's a small hotel and the staff are very friendly. The rates are inexpensive and it is only a 5 minute walk to the BTS station where you can get downtown in one or two stops. I highly recommend this hotel.
Lee Beng (6/5): poor value - 3 stars? not worth it for the price. very old hotel with some nice decorations hate those dark (no natural light coming in the building) inferior design. need a total renovation while keeping some of those decorations dislike the indoor pool which is near the reception and restaurant (everyone can see u swimming) require refundable deposit for room keys poor breakfast selection no free mineral water in the room but with free drinking water and popcorn at the downstair restaurant reception was very nice and gave us free juice upon arrival luckily we just stayed for a day and moved to another better hotel nearby 10 mins walk to nearest BTS few 7-11 and pharmacies nearby

Weal (6/5): Good cheap stay but dated! - Decent location, very dated but nice. Bonus: Hotel staff were very very helpful and engaging without us even asking questions! Minus: 24 hour snack bar was just popcorn. Was a decent place to stay for cheap!
Steren (4/5): Strange place... - Luckily just stayed for one night.... Too many things wrong with this hotel. Firstly this hotel seems like its next door to some construction works. So if you're thinking of sleeping in. Don't bother. Firstly we were awakened by some strange sound of an owl or some creature next door that was hooting or honking for over 1 hr. And then the jack hammers came... Also the air con wasnt working properly. The corridoors had no air con at all. The room was dirty especially the bathroom was mouldy. The mini bar was included in the price, but when we checked in the reception said everything in the mini bar was free except the water and coke. Ok fine, but if the fridge only has water and Coke. Then whats the point? And finally judging by the guests that stayed there. Most seem like they are there for the working girls. But if you're into that kind of thing, they are going to charge you a 800 baht fee if you bring a "lady" to your hotel... Breakfast was included. But we didn't bother as we tried to get the heck out of there as quickly as possible. I could go on and on...
Mr Greg (6/5): 3 star hotel needing some Love in the rooms!!! - My wife and I stayed here 3 nights, about 10-15 min walk to BTS, 1 stop from Siam BTS, central location, lots of local food in the area, It took us about 20 min to walk to MBK centre. Staff great, breakfast basic, toast and jam, tea, coffee, juice, fried eggs, rice and 2 other thai dishes. It served our purpose, the rooms are in need of a good clean and the place definitely needs to be sprayed for cockroaches on a regular basis.

Paulson (6/5): Nice Hotel to Stay In - Stayed there for 5 Days 4 Nights. Check into the hotel at around 3 pm and was greeted with orange juice and popcorn. The staffs were friendly and helpful. Contrary to all the negative reviews on the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel, I personally felt that it wasn't as bad. The hotel and rooms have all basic amenities required. The rooms are relatively clean too. It is worth the price that was paid for the accommodation. The hotel is 10-15mins away from Ratchathewi BTS, you just have to turn right after exiting the hotel and walk straight. 15m away from the hotel is a 7-11 that operates 24/7, so no worries no getting necessities that you need. The walk from Hotel to BTS, you will be greeted with street foods and food stalls that are frequent by the locals *I personally recommend the Dumpling Noodles, it is about 50m walk from the hotel*. Near to the BTS were numerous cafe and restaurant selling Japanese, Western Cuisine etc, the bar is also a stone's throw away from the BTS. Wouldn't mind staying there if I visit Thailand again.

Deb (2/5): Stay away - Please think twice about staying here. Pictures show nothing Re the condition this place is in. Room was dirty, had black mould in main room and above the bath/shower. Wifi was always down, I had to go to foyer if I needed internet. No drink making facilities in rooms. No housekeeping at all. We had to ask for clean towels each day and sheets never got changed in the 8 days we were there. Floors weren't swept. Hubbies phone went missing but can't prove it was them...... breakfast never changed and really wasn't that great. Shall I go on........???
