- Moayad (2/5): - I recently stayed at a hotel that left much to be desired. The overall cleanliness was appalling, with grimy surfaces and questionable stains. To add to the discomfort, the absence of a bathroom inside the room was inconvenient and disappointing. The shared facilities were no better, showcasing a lack of maintenance. Definitely not a place I'd recommend for a comfortable stay.

Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place. BED BUGS! It was the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. My whole body is covered with bites from these bugs. I changed beds 4 times, three of which had bed bugs. They didn’t even cleaned the infected mattresses, they just put on new sheets for the next traveller.

- Koray (8/5): Central friendly hostel experience : ( the entrance may not seem welcoming but inside is promising - This was My first real hostel experience once I stayed at Prague in a hostel but in the separate room part so I first time I stayed with unknowns in the same room. Sure it depends on the current guests but everyone is extremely careful , clean , respectful and friendly . The entrance made me a bit suspicious but when I enter the people and the ambience takes you onto the culture. Staff is great they love their job it’s apparent I think common areas can be more creative lively and enjoyable also entrance really makes you think twice I may quit without entering once you enter you will be convinced but prejudgment works mostly for many people, location without discussion gorgeous.

- Rama (1/5): Unhygienic - The location is near Taksim square and istiklal street but reaching it ist really bad, because of the steep streets of istanbul. The street is really quite at night. They don’t clean anything. All the rooms are smelly. Bathrooms are in a miserable condition with urine spots all over the broken toilet seat. Floor is sticky and have human hair. The covers of the bed haven’t been washed for ages and the cover on top is greasy, i can’t describe the smell of it. I aksed for an extra pillow, they sprayed parfume on it, because it wasn’t clean. The bead sheets haven’t been also washed and the matrice is very vey old and haven’t been washed from blood stains since years. I haven’t slept all first night, and tried to contact booking.com to solve the problem. They changed the room and the next room had bed that are not stable and are leaning towards the floor, the room was also smelly and the floor have also human hair, they took care of the bathroom to stay clean so we won’t complain. We couldn’t stay in this miserable place, so i asked for a refund so we can stay in a another clean place, the owner refused even a partial refund and told me that “this is not a hotel, it’s the concept of a hostel that you don’t smell fresh bed sheets but the smell of others. And it’s not a school here to cry and complain”. I’ve stayed in various hostels all over europe, but I’ve never had this level of low hygiene, incompetence and ignorance. PLEASE stay away from this place and look for for hotels in fatih or sultanahmet area.

- Pastukhova (1/5): Bad - nothing. only one person on the reception was really kind the pictures don’t match the description at all. the hostel has not been renovated for a long time. some of the floor decks are broken and you can easily fall and hurt yourself. the walls are extremely thin. we could hear every step of the next-door neighbours and that didn’t let us sleep. the mattresses are old and thin. but the worst problem is that there’s no heating and we had to sleep wearing sweatshirts and pants. there’s no hot water in the hostel, so don’t expect to get any shower there. when we opened a dispute on booking, the hostel owner suggested us to pay extra to live on the floor with the heating and the hot water. the vacation was nearly ruined but thanks to booking.com that solved the problem pretty quickly and refunded us. we found a hostel that costed the same price but the quality was 100 times better.

- Anonymous (5/5): Woudnt go there anymore! - Restrooms are clean! Thanks to David for free leaving cat in hostel. Kitchen needs to be cleaned and replaced. Everything in room needs to be replaced and cleaned! Sheet is horrible - MUST to be replaced! One hour later we left hostel, we called to David for asking to pick up in our room iron curling - the answer after few calls was deadly misunderstandable “WE WILL CHECK IT, BUT WE WILL NOT FIND IT. YOU UNDERSTAND?” Which means it was stolen by someone he knows. Actually we found TO MUCH BETTER place for this money.

The staff are so greedy for your money ...we did by mistake the reservation and we inform to cancel it event hough they could cancel and refund us but they didn't do. I call it stealing the money. They call you and send messages alot before you arrive but if you need to solve the problem they become lost and disappear .. It's shame and shame and shame.... I am so sorry for have such bad experience with this hostel and advice to everyone to do not stay in this hostel with these staff.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Sadece konumu iyi - Paylaşımlı odada kaldık. Odalar bakımsız, odadaki koltuk muhtemelen yıllardır hiç temizlenmemiş. Ranzalar çok eski, ranzaların perdesi yok. Ortak tuvalet ve banyonun kapısını içeriden açamıyorsunuz, kapının kolu yok. O yüzden tam olarak kapatmadan kullanmanız gerekiyor. Bina çok eski ve bakımsız. Tek iyi yanı Taksim'e yakın olması ama meydana ulaşmak için çok dik yokuşlar tırmanmanız gerekiyor.

- Stijn (3/5): Unhygienic - Friendly staff, good location close to all sorts of public transport, relatively quiet neighbourhood The bathrooms were a disgrace, the showers will filled with fungus and the shower structure was shabby. The toilets themselves were loose and the seats were not even attached to the toilet. My room was not cleaned when I first arrived, the attendant proceeded to clean it in a couple of minutes and didn't even properly change my bedsheets and there were still tobacco strings on the nightstand from the previous occupant. My bed was literally strapped together with strips and ducktape. The door to my room didn't properly open and had a window in it that was just painted over. Everytime someone put on the light in the hallway at night, the light shone through.

- Oliver (10/5): - You need to know that the shower and the toilets are NOT private as it may understood from the pics and the concise text, they are public, and in each floor. That is my only problem with this hostel. And it was a surprise, because i didn't get it when i booked a double bed room. Besides that, the stuff was SO nice and welcoming, they clean all the time so even if the toilet and the public area become unpleasant, it is very quickly being fixed, and they make sure that people will be quiet and consider others in the evenings. The location is superb. The guy that work their most of the day's hours is Shadmal, a beautiful soul, very kind and friendly. He made the entire experience into a pure pleasure.

Instead when I arrived they gave me an entire dorm room for myself. So I had to share bathroom and toilet with others. The building is old, which is okay but not enough is made to keep it clean. Bed sheets were dirty. The toilet was dirty. Shower had water clogging. Not enough pressure on taps etc. And just one bathroom and toilet for 3 or 4 dorm rooms. Which is 12 or 16 people. I would recommend this place only if you have no other option.
- JAYANT (8/5): Nice Place to Stay - Its an excellent place is the heart of Taksim and budget friendly. Staff was nice and welcoming. The only thing I would expect them to improve is in terms of service, there was no towel & AC remote in my room so I had to went all the way down from 3rd floor and 3 times to follow up for a towel, whle I was already late for my event. It took more than an hour to get the towel as there was only 1 person in reception and he was busy in checkin guests. Normally to arrange it better it should be kept in room in advance. The WiFi didnt work at a times at night, but otherwise it was fine. The place is small and not as shown in the pictures. I booked a single room but the bathroom was not attached. This information was not clear in the description while booking. The place was very clean
- Verified traveler (2/5): Really bad shape, needs a lot of fixing. - Place is nothing like the pictures, bad shape furniture, cold rooms and bathroom. Not clean, thin stairs, not family friendly. Windows and doors are loose, broken and bad smell coming through it. Bed was literally joined with ducktape, there were ton of dust in the air and some bugs. Wall divisions are polymere so every sound is listened. There is only one bathroom, with one shower, at each twelve people per floor. Only hotwater at the shower, not at the sink. No roof at the stairs, too thin and hard to carry with luggage.
