Guest Reviews
- Daniel (10/5): - Everything was clean! Reception lady was very nice as well. She let us pick our rooms. Good location. The owner was also a really cool guy so we liked it there Nothing
- Jean (9/5): Superb -
- Ibrahim (2/5): Very poor - good location i person not easy to complain and i understand that hotels sometimes have problem , but this room they give to me cant be for a human
- Lopez (9/5): Superb - The staff is really kind and helpful, any question, anything that i needed the owner help me out.
The location is perfect just in the city center.
When i did my book for my mistake i booked with bathroom outside when i said to the owner and he gave me a room with toilet inside without any extra charge. I felt really grateful.
- William C. (2/5): Not a nice Hotel - Extremely worn out building. Paint etc peeling from walls. Wood floors were very worn. Would not stay there again. On the bright side the staff was extremely helpful in meeting me at the Giza train station and transporting me to the hotel.
- nick (6/5): Close to all amenities in the middle of Cairo - It's not a fancy hotel it's more of a hostel very simple you can only use it to sleep and leave the staff are friendly
- Ossama ilhami (10/5): very good place in the heart of cairo . - i have enjoyed my stay ...very nice persons , feel like im with my family ...thanks alot
- Ossama (10/5): i had a very good stay in that hotel - all i can say that you will feel like you are in your home , thanks so much mohamed and ibrahem , i really enjoyed my trip with them
- Matt (8/5): Okay hotel with great staff - Over, a mixed bag.
Mohamed really makes the hotel and he was hospitable, helpful, and very informative. We also had a long conversation about Egyptian politics.
However, the hotel was hard to find and if Mohamed is not there, no one can speak English. The bathroom and room cleanliness left some to be desired.
- Miao Lin (10/5): Very good location - Cairo is really safe now. This is my first time in Cairo. The crowd city and creasy drivers made me feel nervous at first, but the nice people made me feel very good in the following days. Although a little old, the hotel location is very good, and the staff are really nice. It is a good choice in Cairo.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible - They send e mail that some one will be waiting but no body
I will not recomend this hotel.
- Basheer (10/5): Top location, freindly staff - Cairo Moon hotel is very good value for money . Mr Raoof (driver, guide) is bright and trustworthy. I feel safe with him during trips in Cairo . He picked me for free from airport at 03:00 AM. Staff (Mohamad, Ibrahim) are very friendly and helpful in advising me and in organizing day trips . Rooms are large and clean with AC, TV and satellite . WIFI is free and available in my room . You can take breakfast at any time you wake up. Tea or coffee are free. The hotel has top location. It is not far from Tahreer Square, Nile river , Egypt museum , Khan Alkhalily and Ramsses Rail station.
- P Ag (10/5): Budget Hotel with 5 start service - The hotel owner Mr. Mohamed makes sure that you are at home when staying in this hotel. Located in the heart of Cairo and in close proximity to eating joints. Fabulous breakfast, free interest, welcoming staff... What else could I have asked for. Had a v comforting stay with my wife and a small child.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cairo Moon is good value for money - Not the best hotel for comfort but everything is balanced when you get the personal touch and hospitality of Mohamed and Ibrahim. They will make it up to you with helpful and accomodating service. But the rooms are not upto standard of three stars. I would recommend anyone to this hotel also for it's location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): superb.... - Really I will never forget my stay in cairo, and thanks to cairo moon which mad me feel that I am in my home, and you made my stay un forget able. Special thanks to Mr. Muhammad who is so friendly and helping and dealt with me as a brother. The arrangements of tour trips by Cairo moon were superb and specially our guide Ms Maha who was with us like our family member. Mr. Ibrahim, Mr. Rauf and all other staff .....really I will miss them all......
- Louise (10/5): Cairo Moon sojourn. - My stay here was good, I felt as if it was home. The staff were friendly and helpful. Mohamed couldn't have been more helpful in arranging tours for me. He was a godsend.it would have been very difficult otherwise. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Best host in Cairo - Best host in any hotel in any country, that I have every come accross, during my travels.
Mohamed, could not do more to make our Cairo experience any better.
Thank you Mohamed, we will never forget your welcome and kindness
- Pharaoh's fiancée (8/5): Cairo at its best - Staying in Cairo Moon Hotel offers you Cairo at its best. it's close to all must-see place. Great staff- all are very chatty, very friendly and helpful. Expect clean rooms, with clean sheets, en-suite bathrooms (mostly), air conditioning and TVs, what more could you want? if you are on a limited budget, free access to internet and unlimited tea all day were a nice benefit. Would definitely go again and recommend to friends.
- Quaid (4/5): Not a very good choice - Wanted to have the Hotel in the downtown, that is why I booked this hotel, the Rooms and service was not upto the price I paid for, a little AC in a big room, a very so so break fast only including boiled eggs, butter/Jam and bread, no Room fridge available and the Hotel on the eight floor. This was not what I was looking for.
- Anya (10/5): Friendly, reliable service - - very friendly and welcoming staff, great English
- room exactly what we wanted: AC, breakfast, unlimited tea/coffee
- excellent location from all the touristy spots in downtown Cairo
- staff very knowledgeable and willing to get anything you need
Would definitely stay there again!
- Herb (8/5): Excellence for the price - I spent six days in Cairo to help celebrate the Egyptian liberation movement's success and to learn from it. It was nice to be in a small hotel where I could talk with the staff and meet other guests.
Continental breakfast was just fair. Lots of rolls with tea or coffee but no juice and no napkin. Butter, jelly and cheese. I got tired of it.
Computer was available and usually worked. TV during the day gave me a sense of soap operas, Egyptian style. Manager and staff were uniformly helpful.
- Guo (2/5): Satisfactory budget hotel - Honest, dependable, helpful service. Acceptable hotel for those on a budget. Friendly atmosphere. Quite a distance from the Airport. Located in downtown setting.
- M.Shuaib (8/5): Pleasent Tour in Cairo - Its a great experience in Egypt and had a good Hotel during our stay. Mr. Mohamed the Hotel manager is very helpfulland supportive. He arranged for us several trips in and out Cairo with a good Guide with reasonable rates. You can arrange your breakfaset as your convenient and get arranged your meals to your if requested. The staff and the manager is very helpfull and we didnt feel any discomfort during our stay for three nights with family. The Hotel is in 8th Floor of one building in Adely street. The Hotel is recently renovated with New air cindition units.
- Don (8/5): Good for one day - the hotel staff were especially friendly. The locatin was near th eEgyptian Museum. The hotel building left someting to be desired but the room was good for my day-only purposes. The room was OK.
