• Amanda (10/5): Lovely stay , I would definitely stay there again - Great service and Breakfast from Sunil and Barbara was extremely helpful when it comes to Venice. Great to have that personal touch. Hotel has a great central location, I recommend looking it up on street view so you can workout which restaurant it is above . In all a fantastic stay . Nothing we didn’t like - but be aware it has a lot of steps to enter the hotel and no lift. Sunil is on hand to help with you bags though .

Molto apprezzata l'assistenza telefonica della Customer Care che ci ha fornito ottimi consigli per la visita alla città, ristorantini e visite culturali. Pur essendo gentile, il signor Sunil parlava solo inglese e non italiano. Da migliorare l'ingresso delle parti comuni dell'edificio, in particolare la piccola corte interna che andrebbe più curata con vasi di fiori e il gusto che contraddistingue "La villeggiatura". Piccolo frigorifero in camera leggermente rumoroso.

It is close to the fish market, the Vaporetto stop, and many restaurants and snack bars, as well as the famous Rialto Bridge. The location of the hotel was perfect - near all the carnival events, yet quiet and cozy at the same time. The staff was friendly, and we felt comfortable. Our room was clean and cozy. The breakfast was delightful. We would love to come back here. We recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Venice.

• Navigator21663658164 (10/5): Perfect place to stay! - We had a lovely experience staying at La Villeggiatura. It was beautifully clean and the room was perfect. Barbara and Sunil looked after us incredibly well, Sunil with the breakfast and welcoming us when we arrived late and Barbara helping us with plans, journeys and restaurants. The location couldn't have been better, we would definitely go back there again.

I just wish there were a bit more options for breakfast. But regardless, it was pretty good. 2. Also there was no elevator and we had to climb quite many stairs to get to our room. But I understand it is pretty common for hotels in Venice to not have elevators.
• timhenry69 (10/5): A fabulous place to stay in Venice for couples or family minutes from the Rialto bridge - La Villeggiatura is the perfect place in order to enjoy the delights of Venice. Located minutes from the Rialto bridge it is easily accessible by foot to excellent local facilities, including shops and bars, immediately on the doorstep. The water taxi stop at Rialto Mercato, a few minutes walk away, gives access up and down the Grand canal. The property is in a delightful Venetian building and offers beautifully decorated accommodation with spacious rooms ideal for couples or the family. The breakfast is fantastic and really sets you up for the day. To top it all the staff are fantastic and really helpful and Barbara who manages the property is a delight and a font of all knowledge re Venice and happy to give advice on where to visit and where to eat.

She provided us with 2 x daily walking routes for our stay so that we could make the most of Venice. The room was quiet and comfortable, good bed and en-suite facilities. Location is perfect near the Rialto Mercato and the street has a small selection of restaurants/bars.

Barbara is Venetian and has excellent knowledge to impart to visitors. We have visited Venice many times but Barbara recommended places to see that were new to us. Everything was perfect. A loft would be amazing as the stairs up to the hotel are a killer but, being Venice, this cannot happen. We felt much fitter after a week!!

• P8798YUdavidd (10/5): Wonderful stay in Venice - La Villeggiatura is very well located, close to Rialto Mercato but just far enough away to avoid the crowds. We received a friendly welcome from Barbara, who gave us helpful advice on places to visit whilst in Venice. The room was excellent, traditional in design, and spacious and very comfortable. Good air conditioning and very quiet at night, Sunil prepared a hearty breakfast every morning, which was very reasonably priced. We enjoyed the mixed seafood hors d'oeuvres at Ostaria al Garanghelo next door and they were also very friendly. Gelato was on hand across the street, and a variety of cafes, eateries and shops. La Villeggiatura is up three flights of steps within an internal courtyard, which was no problem for us, but may be challenging for those with mobility issues. We stayed four nights and would definitely recommend the place, and maybe come back for a second stay one day.

Our flight was cancelled last minute and they helped us with our bags and make new arrangements. Also a wonderful and charming breakfast in the morning. • W968BZarlenes (10/5): A Hidden Gem - Our stay at La Villeggiatura was very special. The room was very comfortable and had everything that we needed. Everything was very well thought out and immaculate. Barbara and Sunil took care of all of our needs and made sure that we had the best transportation to the hotel and back to the airport. Using the water taxi, we arrived in twenty minutes directly from the airport and the hotel was virtually a few steps from the dock. With only 6 rooms at the hotel. it is very quiet and feels like home. Can't beat the location with only a 10-15 minute walk to St. Mark's Square. There were several restaurants on our street as well as a place to buy supplies like bottled water.

However, the hotel has a lot of stairs and no elevator, which makes it difficult for anyone with heavy luggage or knee problems — I wouldn’t recommend it in that case. Breakfast was very basic and could be improved.

Sunil who served us coffee and managed the staff cleaning was so kind and accommodating. Location excellent. Room beautifully decorated and bathroom and amenities were excellent. Lack of elevator but understand that this is Venice and that we were staying in a very old building that has lots of historical charm.

• Timothy (10/5): Enjoyed Our Stay In Venice - We really enjoyed our two night stay. The location was convenient to everything without being in the super busy areas. The hostess Barbara was very helpful with directions, transportation and a recommendation for a great concert. The room was spacious and we liked having a coffee maker and access to filtered water. Breakfast was simple but filled us until lunch. It was a little warm while we were there (75 F) and although they have AC they weren’t allowed to use it before mid-May (city ordinance?), so the room was a little warm at night even with the windows open. You do have to take stairs up to the third floor, but they helped with our larger luggage. Overall we were very happy with our stay and would recommend!

Barbara the manager went above and beyond our expectations to be sure our experience in Venice was exceptional and it was. The property is spacious and grand. Our room had everything to make our stay comfortable including a remote controlled skylight and mini fridge. The location is absolutely perfect with short walks to major attractions like the Rialto Bridge and St Marks Square but away from the noisy tourist areas. In the morning we joined the other guests for a large selection of delicious breakfast items. We often skipped lunch because we were still full from breakfast. We absolutely loved staying at this wonderful B&B and highly recommend it as one of the best choices for your stay in Venice.

• adrianmari0g (10/5): An exceptional place for a relaxing stay - A lovely place very close to the Rialto Bridge, the markets, and not far from Piazza San Marco. Although situated in an old building, the apartment has been exquisitely refurbished making it very comfortable. Our room was big with comfortable beds. Breakfast was lovely! Barbara, our host was extremely helpful and accomodating.

Barbara and Sunhil are v gracious hosts and are able to recommend good restaurants close by. This was our second visit and we will return. Highly recommended :)

Not much to do when raining though as this is not typical hotel. Would recommend staying if you are a physically fit adults who don’t mind stairs and little amenities.

The staff was so helpful offering suggestions of things to see and places to visit after we fueled up for the day. If there could have been less stairs to get to the B&B, that would have been nice. But we realize that most of the places to stay in Venice are the same so we feel we choose wisely for this property.

We did find the room hot, it was unusually hot in Venice and the a/c was turned off. We could open the windows but the mosquitoes would come in. We opted for a fan.

• Lauren (7/5): Unique place to stay in Venice. - The location was excellent, close by to vaporetto stop and with lots of good restaurants in close reach. The room itself was very spacious with private bathroom. Nice aesthetic and fairly comfortable bed. Host was very welcoming and helpful in giving directions around Venice/places to try. She was also kind enough to help carry my suitcase down the stairs at the end of trip ( be advised it is a third floor walk up). Breakfast is provided every morning in the common area. There were cereals, pastries, fruit, boiled eggs etc. It was a nice opportunity to chat with other guests. Noise is probably the only issue. It's a very old building- part of the charm- but that comes with poor sound proofing and pipes that sound like they are roaring whenever someone uses the bathroom. You can also hear guests in other rooms. I ended up putting in ear plugs to block it out to sleep.

Rooms are very clean and comfortable, just a lot of stairs. - Barbara and the team were amazing, they could not do enough to help from advising on Restaurants to getting to the airport. The rooms were very clean and Tidy and there is always someone there to help. There are a lot of stairs to the property travelling with my 83 year old mother I was concerned that several of the hand rails were coming away from the wall.

• Malini (9/5): We had a lovely stay with my 9yo. Would recommend to others - Lovely place very close to the water taxi stop/ gondolas/ markets and restaurants. Old building but nicely done interiors. Family room was very big and very comfortable beds.Breakfast was lovely too! Barbara was super helpful in helping us plan out our days in Venice with some very useful tips. If you have big luggages maybe difficult to pull through stairs but the staff onsite helped us!

• Lakshminarasimhan (7/5): Good stay but over rated - Location was excellent with connectivity for water bus & taxis. Rooms were clean and spacious for a family of 3. Felt a bit over rated in booking.com. I booked seeing the 9.1 ratings but actually it was 7+ only Almost 3-4 floors you need to climb especially with luggages Pretty old furnitures and you touch it would break easily Air conditioning wasn't sufficient during the summer and need to get an extra fan to complement Breakfast was disappointing as there was nothing except bread, cheese and fruits. Nothing warm or cooked Barbara the lead staff seems to go a bit far in the name of suggestions and advice though we never asked. Personally felt her one way conversations were sarcastic and going over board. Overall okayish and an over rated hotel.

• Margaret (10/5): - Our stay was wonderful. Great room, lovely breakfast, fabulous location. Barbara was absolutely incredible. She went above and beyond in giving us helpful tips and helping us figure out how to navigate our way around Venice to see the sites. Only drawback was that it is on the third floor but that seems to be quite common in Venice. Was a truly magical city and would absolutely stay here again.
