Guest Reviews
- Daniela (8/5): - Was beautiful. Really enjoyed our stay
- Jonathan (10/5): - Great budget hotel
- Karen (10/5): My extended stay in Munich and at Hotel One - I had 7 day stay at Motel One and was very very satisfied. From the front desk, to housekeeping and the bar and patio, it was wonderful. Friendly, accomodating and always cheerful. I was visiting my son and the hotel area was perfect for walking everywhere and I always felt safe. The room was all I needed for restful nights and a great bathroom. It was very clean and comfortable. I would stay again. I loved the outdoor space with all the comfortable chairs. I give this hotel a 10 plus!!!
- Myrtle (10/5): - So efficient and service beyond excellent
Kind Always

- Jca (8/5): - Nice property
- David (10/5): - Modern hotel with good AC next to the Deutsches Museum and also walking distance to Marienplatz and some good restaurants. Close to the Roseinheimer Platz train station with regular access to the airport. Solid choice.
- aouf (6/5): - N
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice place to stay. Aircon is set at a specific temperature and you can't adjust it so if you've been walking around for a while and want to cool off, you can't drop the temperature in your room. The whole place feels a little bit too warm until after a while you get used to it
- Rene (10/5): - Property is located in a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the historic center of the city
- Rene (10/5): - Hotel located in a quiet street
- Tobi (10/5): - Great location easy to get around Munich from the hotel and very safe
- Alireza (10/5): - Excellent location and property
- Stuart (10/5): - Everything was good … No issues whatsoever
- Vivek (10/5): Good place to stay in Heidhausen - The checking in experience was great. And if you have a car as well, the parking is bit confusing but cheaper than other city center hotels.
- Lee (10/5): - Conveniently located on the outskirts of the centre in a quiet suburb, within walking distance of the station, old town and restaurants. Nice bar although food options are limited. Rooms are small but clean and modern. Friendly, informative staff. Easy check in/check out. Overall a lovely stay and good value for money.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice modern and clean hotel - Super clean room, very comfortable bed! The price was very good and located 15 minutes away from downtown (walking distance). The room I booked was small but perfect for solo or a couple travelling. The only negative point is that there was a lot of people waiting to check in, and I had to wait a good 20-30 minutes (not necessarily the hotels fault). Still giving 5 stars!
- Olayinka (8/5): - Staff was highly professional and the hotel is neat. I would like visit again.
- Ashton (8/5): - It was nice, although a bit small. Would stay again.
- Dan (10/5): - Breakfast was good, rooms and public spaces excellent, area was quiet with little happening in the evening, but that was fine. Nice location overall
- Ellis (8/5): - Easy & interesting walk into Marienplatz, museums & other places of interest.
Not many close dining options at night.
Staff were very attentive & had plenty of umbrellas available for the wet week.
- Ting Yu (8/5): - Great spot to stay for summer holidays
- Michael (8/5): - Great location. Easy access to Sbahn Rosenheimer Platz station. Clean rooms. Highly recommended.
- Emma (10/5): - I liked the hotel, it was nice and modern and a good price. The bathroom was great, especially the shower. The staff were friendly and let us check in early and they had leaflets on transport from the hotel to the Adele concert which was really helpful.
- Matthew (8/5): Nice hotel - Nice hotel, good location.
- Mary (10/5): - No complaints!
- Wolfgang (10/5): - Great hotel with good location to many things. Excellent breakfast buffet. Parking for a fee inside was a plus.
- Peter (10/5): - Super staff! Very nice, great value
- George (10/5): - Rooms are a bit small, but fine for sleeping. I was a solo traveler, so no issue for me.
The decor is very nice. The bar/lounge area is very comfortable and relaxing.
I would stay here again.
- Terry (4/5): Sad Hotel with weak service - The reception desk was terrible. One of the workers was doing all she could to keep things moving. Trash was left in our room one day, the front desk refused to make a call to a local food delivery for us ( our us phones weren’t working) The mattress was shot I would not stay here or recommend anyone else stay here
- Charlotte (8/5): Comfortable stay - Comfortable and modern hotel. Room was on the smaller side and storage could have been better but I enjoyed the modern bathroom and reception facilities. Good location close to the Deutsches Museum to explore Munich.
- DEEPIKA (10/5): - Good
- Goetz (10/5): - Location is awesome as is the hotel and staff. Parking garage is, at least from an North-American perspective, rather tight.
- Richard (10/5): - The staff was very accommodating and addressed a couple of issues with the air conditioning very quickly.
- Mark (10/5): - Breakfast was incredibly crowded. Evening bar staff fantastic. Very clean rooms.
- PAUL (6/5): - Room functionality poorly designed no bed side table's!no small fridge to keep water, drinks or snacks cold, poor air-conditioning throughout hotel was hot and humid !!
- Patrick (4/5): - The property informed me about different pricing structures that were not offered on Expedia. Frustrated to pay more for a mediocre room
- Penny (8/5): - Lovely design, great mattress. No closet, no drawers, very small room.
- Livia (8/5): - An easy reach by train from the airport. Very nice bar and outdoor garden.
- William (8/5): - Sufficient. Rooms are small for the price. Area is good. Staff was very helpful and pleasant.
- Lars (10/5): - Great customer service and breakfast room is very comfortable and simple.
- Patricia (8/5): - Our Non smoking room definitely smelled like smoke. Otherwise a very nice stay
- Joao (4/5): - Receptionist personal were not very professional. lacked english skills.
Room bathroom very small and basic.
Once we lay on the bed, dust particles everywhere.
Price was fair but for me not to repeat.
- Tom (10/5): Lasater - Very nice hotel, would definitely recommend.
- Martha (8/5): - The service was very good
- Anna (10/5): - Clean, quiet hotel with nice breakfast / lobby spaces and comfortable bed.
- Frank (10/5): - Great hotel. Small rooms, no fridge. Everything else, including service was excellent.
- Ron (10/5): - Awesome stay, my wife and I will be staying there again in August. Staff was fantastic!
- Jessica (8/5): - Good location, modern and comfortable, good parking options. Room on the small side, price rather steep with no breakfast. The main downside is that the room has no tea/coffee facilities.
- Jessica (6/5): - Modern, comfortable and clean, but very small rooms with no storage space, and also lacking coffee/tea making facilities.
- Paola (8/5): - The only thing was it didn’t have a safe deposit box in the room, this was inconvenient
- Jorge (8/5): - Great place for a short visit to Munich. Centrally located but in a very quiet area. Rooms are clean and quiet. The staff is friendly.
In the morning, even though there are three elevators, it takes a very long time to be able to get in one. Always crowded.
The check-in process is also very slow. Many guests trying to check in and the staff was taking a long time to process.
- Franz (10/5): - Easy stay!
- Abhishek (8/5): Good! - overall good stay. Common area is top notch. Took a bit longer than expected to check in
- John (8/5): Great location and comfortable hotel - Love Motel one however two things I was disappointed with,
1/ asked reception re rail strike and rail link to airport, shrug of shoulders and no answer
2/ first time traveling that I left change on my desk and gone when I came back later in the day, just under €10 so maybe thought it was a tip,
Great service and breakfast apart the above
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The rooms are a joke, they didn’t even have a luggage rack. Or a telephone, ro call reception. So finally I went downstairs to ask for a Luggage rack. They said they didn’t have anything like that and instead gave me an ironing board.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Reception staff could not be faulted for their service.
- Adrian (8/5): - Great public areas, rooms a little small. Managing Covid well. Helpful reception - busy at breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The bar and breakfast area had unusual decoration.
- Christopher (10/5): “Motel one” more like Motel 5* - Clean, tidy, smart, functional. Great location. Highly recommend
- ALINA (10/5): - Professional staff. Grwt location, clean and easy to reach from S8 train.
- Ian (8/5): Excellent stay...small duvet! - Only one slight issue... I think the hotel had replaced a double duvet with a single as I was a solo traveller. If it was the usual duvet in a double room I would not have been happy! That aside, what an excellent stay at a very reasonable price. The staff were extremely helpful. All in, I would highly recommend. Definitely try the ginger lemonade in the bar...excellent!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Brand new large design hotel with great bar, restaurant and outdoor dining. Clean rooms and lovely shower room and toiletries. Not large rooms but perfectly acceptable. Very convenient location around the corner from S-Bahn station Rosenheimerplatz, and an easy 20 min walk to the Altstadt. The immediate area has a nice beer garden, good and varied restaurants, bakeries and the Deutschland Museum is a few mins walk. We think it would be great for business or leisure.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, tidy, close to the city center and the staff were helpful and friendly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great little hotel in a very good location. We were able to walk into the city every day but there is also a train and tram station nearby if you are carrying luggage.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Parking was bedlam. Room was tiny and the ac didnt work well. Good location outside of old city.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very clean and good location. Highly recommended!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Good location, 2 stops from Marienplatz
500 meters to the subway
Just the room is too tiny
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything was fine with this property. My only comment is that the rooms were a tad small.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great hotel but, for me, the rooms were just a little too small for a couple staying for a few days - not enough storage space and we kept getting in each other’s way. If we had just been overnighting, it would have been perfect. Other than the room size - perfect! Smart, clean, great lounge/bar area and good value breakfast.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful modern and clean decor, very enjoyable stay.
- Judith (10/5): Happy In Munich - Great place, central location & excellent multi lingual staff that graciously put up with 2 Americans sabotaging their language. Awesome staff, engaging, kind and knowledgeable !! I look forward to staying here again !!! Thank you for an great stay !!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved this hotel, so nice, clean and modern. A little bit of a walk to the nearest metro station (maybe 15 minutes), but not bad. Staff was great and the room was comfortable. Doors closing a little loudly would be my only complaint--otherwise I would definitely stay here again if we come back to Munich!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Although the room is small, it is clean and nice. The staff are very friendly and warmhearted.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was a very nice and clean hotel in a very good location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I've stayed in Motel One a few times and always been very impressed. As usual, the hotel here was comfortable, the staff very friendly, and my room was clean, warm and beautifully located on the top floor! So great views over Munich.
The only thing with this hotel is it was slightly out of centre, I felt in the evening the location was a bit quiet; it still wasn't far from a station and you could walk to the metro very easily, but it did feel a bit further out.
Apart from that I thought everything was excellent and I would always recommend Motel One for almost any European city.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Bedsheets not very clean, I noted hair on my bed . Bedsheets appear crease. Breakfast no fruits available not for the value paid.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great value - Great value for money, clean, comfortable and good breakfast.
- kris (10/5): - This hotel is so nice, New and clean. It is in a quieter area but about a 25 minute walk to the marienplatz so I think a good location. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.
- John (8/5): Clean, comfortable, safe location, Great Value. - Clean, comfortable, safe location. Great Value! Major disappointment was weak WiFi. I could only get in hotel lobby, not room. My colleague on another floor had same problem, WiFi would cut out frequently.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Overall very good, not good for business trips - The inly thing I really didnt like is that there was no possibility in to work. The table in the toom was too low to comfortable work on
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice hotel, in a good location
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good - Good, clean, comfortable hotel with secure parking. And air-conditioning! Absolutely no complaints.
- Denise (10/5): Good location, near transport and quiet. - Bed was very comfortable! Liked the amount of natural light in the room. Room was compact, however still plenty of space as functional. Clean and a good shower that was easy to work.
- Rika (8/5): - new and clean. 1.5 km from old city center. good breakfast. We got to borrow an umbrella from the front desk.
- Lauren (10/5): - Very clean and modern hotel within easy walking distance to the Altstadt area of Munich as well as neighborhood restaurants, grocery, and stores. Large, tastefully decorated dining and bar area with spacious outdoor seating. A wonderful affordable alternative to staying in the much more expensive downtown area.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great! Thanks!
- Marco (10/5): - Great location, nice hotel, amazing breakfast, wonderful staff
- Nigel (8/5): - An excellent welcome by the young lady at rhe hotel Reception during the evening of 18 June 2018.
- Toubib (8/5): - Nice hotel close to city center and metro station. Take S8 train from airport and you reach the hotel directly (S1 from hotel to airport).
modern hotel with nice toilets (WC can be blocked very easily so pay attention . You can use common toilets in -1 ).
Check in/ out very smooth, staff very kind and helpful, breakfast is excellent.
The only negative point for me ( very subjective because we were a family of 3 persons in the room: my daughter has an extra bed) is that the room is extremely small. It has no night tables/ no safe/ no wardrobe ( just a fixed bar ) / no kettle ( but you can get hot water from the reception ).
Overall: highly recommended hotel at a very affordable price.
- Halar (8/5): Close to everything - Hotel was within walking distance to the city center. Nice view from our room.
- Yi Hui (10/5): Chic and wonderful place! - Great and chic place! Fantastic stay for a solo business travel. A pity it lacks a kettle that I can prep some coffee myself. Other than that, simple and wonderful.
- Frannie (8/5): Nice basic hotel with good S bahn connection - Nice basic hotel with good S bahn connection to the city center.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Value - The price of the room was perfect for what we got. Beautiful room, comfortable bed, great location.
- Jose Daniel (10/5): Outstanding - Excellent location, room and lounge condition, cleanliness and staff service. Great value for a 10-15 min walk to Marienplatz. The hotel provided an infant crib and received an infant car seat that I ordered online a couple of days before our arrival.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very rude welcoming. - Receptionist was very rude. I tried to discribe something, he didn’t understand me and started to talk very loudly. Then I wanted him to call his manager and my problem solved. The manager was very polite. Thanks to him.
- Tom (10/5): Nice hotel within walking distance of Marienplatz - Excellent - friendly staff and clean/modern room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very nice accommodations. Great location.
- Galen (6/5): Tiny room, few amenities, good location. - Pro: Great location, comfortable bed, very quiet.
Con: Tiny room with no minibar, closet, nightstands, or safe.
Was first put in a room on the back side. Asked to change to the front. Also, price was more than double one day due to a business convention at the nearby convention center. Be careful of that.
- Maria (10/5): - Great place to stay . Very comfortable beds ! Will definitely stay again when in Munich .
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean, convenient hotel - The room was small but all other aspects of my stay were good.
