- LYNETTE (8/5): - I have been staying at Wonstar for almost every of my 7 trips to taipei in the past 8 years. It's accessible location and helpful staff always make my stay a pleasant one. Just one feedback though - it would be helpful to replace the armchair in the room with a stand/table for luggage as it is a better use of space. With the armchair around, it's difficult to have 2 luggages in a double and/or twin sharing room.

- Cedric (8/5): Great hotel with good service - This is one of my favorite hotel to stay in Ximending area whenever I'm in Taipei. Right beside XMD, it's a convenient location to be. Service is excellent as always. I gave a 4-star as there were some inconveniences experienced by my mom but they were resolved by staff swiftly. Otherwise, I highly recommend this hotel as first choice.

- Poon Khai (8/5): - The location of thr hotel is really good as it is near many eating places, 2mins walk to a NETs and walkable to mtetro station. however cleanliness needed to be improve and the facilties are old. The bathtub was spoilted and when we feedback to the hotel, they mentioned that they will fixed the next day but it was still not fixed.

It was really very cold in the room so it will be good if we can adjust in the room instead. Housekeeping need to be improved as we found stains immediately on the bedsheet when we just checked in.

- Tien Tsung (8/5): - A nice and functional hotel at a convenient location. A short walk to two subway (MRT) stations and a major shopping area. Staff is nice and polite. The building itself is relatively old, but the room is clean and comfortable. No breakfast served, but there is a Mos Buger next door, where you can buy a breakfast for NT70. Recommended if you can find a good price.

With the cozy mattress on the short platform and the TV on the ceiling, it feels like you are having your own little world eating and chilling on bed. The room we had (1 king sized bed) was extremely spacious, plenty of place to spread out our things. The bathroom was large, clean and the bathtub was a nice touch. Comes with a bidet-toilet. Quiet hotel but close to Ximen station (3 minute walk) and close to lots of great restaurants, bars, and access to most things you'll want to do in Taipei. Super convenient to get to / from the airport (Taoyuan) via Airport train (10 minute walk). Highly recommend.

The breakfast area and choices have improvement (can still work on more varieties, such as fruits and other more international). - KenC (10/5): - I always enjoyed my stay at Wonstar (Zhong Hua branch). The hotel is located at the fringe of XiMenDing, away from the crowd noise. They have recently refurbish their interior to give it a modern look. Staff were well trained and take great care of their customers. They serve decent breakfast daily at their breakfast lounge (only meal they serve). Guess they leave the customers to take other meals at the delectable food streets within reach. The room i stayed was the star room. It was neat and clean and confortable(my standard). I would definitely come back again.

- Wendy (8/5): Wonstar Hotel - good stay - Stayed for 1 day, checked in late and was given a room with odd shape. However, room is quite clean and breakfast is good. The location is on the main road in Ximending. Very convenient. I suggest to take cab to hotel from taipei main station. The fare ranged from 80 to 130 twd. Will recommend to stay here. Other hotels are more expensive around this area and mostly with no breakfast.

This is a updated hotel located within distance is Ximending district, where there are tons of shopping, eating, sight seeing, and transportation( Ximending MRT and Taipei Main Station within walking distance, buses outside hotel). I was arranged a room that already has guest sleeping in it (it was after midnight when I check in) and the room card key I was given could actually open the door. The first time I tried to open the hotel room with the room key, it didn't work so I went back to the reception and the receptionist seemed like he doesn't know what he was doing. I told him the guest info of the room (guest name and check out date)on the document he has on his hand is not my info and he insisted it was ok. So then he fixed the room key and said the key is now ok. So I tried the second time. Yes, it did work the second time, I could open the door but another guest was already in the room! This experience was uncomfortable. If I was arranged and given a key that could open an occupied room, it means my room door could also be opened freely by another guest.

- Adam (8/5): Modern hotel just beside ximending - Hotel is clean and serve decent breakfast. Room is clean and well furnished but bed seem a bit overly soft, got a bit of backache when wake up every morning.

After they renovated the place. It's new now but room is small now. Took the star room instead of the smaller room (not much walk space). Overall still acceptable for this size but can be better in terms for price (since can't change the size) and also for the breakfast. Won't take the breakfast again the next round and save on the amount so that can have nicer breakfast near it. Since food are everywhere.

Short walk to Ximen train station. Practically next to Ximen Ding shopping district, but without the noise. Daily breakfast is very simple and local, but tastes good.

The rooms were of a pleasant size with adequate facilities for a comfortable stay. Would definitely check out this hotel again during out next trip. The staff at the hotel were also extremely helpful and friendly and would not hesitate to go the extra mile to help customers. Overall, I had an enjoyable stay at Wonstar Hotel Zhong Hua.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Will never book again! - Upon arrival then was told they tried to contact me regarding the change of branch as the hotel is under major renovation! I didn't question further but is very unsatisfied the way they handle it. If they called me but can't reach me, shouldn't they email me? I booked the hotel THREE MONTHS in advance, don't tell me they last minute decided to renovate the hotel! This is not my first time booking this hotel so I know what to expect so I'm willing to pay a bit more for the hotel to let my mum stay abit more comfortable and note that there is no breakfast provided! The room they gave me at XiMen branch is very deep in corner unit and within 10minutes after we entered, both my mum and I were bitten by lots of mosquitoes!

Be warned that hotel check in is a very strict 3pm so be prepared to find things to do if you get there early. Breakfast is very basic. Price for Taipei is ok but think we'll stay somewhere else when we return.

Simple hotel with great service from the staff, they always greet you with a smile and more than happy to assists you. They even provide service to assists you on purchasing vigor pineapple tarts and duck tongue, do take a look at the notice next to the lift for some additional little services they providing.

- Bernard (8/5): Great location, comfy hotel, need some improvement - It was good. The hotel location was fantastic. Just 5 mins walk to the Ximen train station and 15 mins walk to Taipei train station. We had an enjoyable stay. We stayed in room 508 and the room was always clean and packed when we came back each night. We only had one problem which was that our room lock was spoilt and you have to pull the door shut in order to lock the door. If you let the door close by itself, it would not be locked and anyone who pushes the door can just open it with no problem. We came back 2 nights with the door not locked even though we had pull it shut when we left. We told the hotel reception about the problem and ask them to remind the housekeeping staff to help take note to pull it shut, but still it was not locked when we came back. We were blessed that nothing expensive was left in the room, nor anything was stolen. They finally fixed the problem on the last day before we left. :) At least it was fixed for the next guest. So that is good. :)

Hotel staff were friendly and a decent size room for 2 people. The only issue is guests are required to return and draw their key every single time you step out of the hotel.

- JC (4/5): near the main street, convenient spot - Bad, the bed bugs tortured me for a week after I left the place. The pillow was too soft and low that I suffered bad neck problems. They did not have enough pillows to spare so they only gave me towels, but frankly it did not help. Room condition is rather old, I could hear the streets even on level 6.
- Yamazaki (2/5): Totally bad image during the stay - << 1 >> The hotel need the guest to check in at 15:00 (Local time) but cannot early check in with a second as the Front Office informed me, but there are other guest can check in earlier by the same day. << 2 >> The door of the room was being opened afther the housekeeping untill you enter to the room, it is very danger that some bad guys may putting drugs or things from somewhere in the room and it could be in troblue as I check in the room. <<3>> as the hotel saying that the WiFi signal is not strong enough and it is not designed for laptop to use but mobile. Hotel borrowed me for the cable line as lane using, but it is even worse as WiFi. Finally, the Hotel borrowed me an external Wifi adapoter, but it does work. Finally, I use my mobile 3G data to access internet with my computer and it is "faster" then ways with the Hotel provided. << 4 >> Housekeeper have a mistakeness that take away my soccer pants during the housekeeping. Finally, housekeeper found that and gave me back and the attitude was really rude that she said that is my fault not her fault, but I did not do anything as conplain. << 5 >> I was staying two nights, 2 adults for the stay and including breakfast. However, Front Office issued me for one BFF voucher and one day only. I asked why and finally Front Office issued 2 voucher for one day and nil voucher for the second day as settle down the case.. For this case seems being cheated.
- Alan Yap (6/5): Accessible location - WonStar Chung Hwa is located along a main road and prominent. Ximending is also beside this hotel so it is convenient. The downside to this hotel is it is rather run down. The room has a musky smell due to the deteriorating thin carpet flooring; the bed sheets do not smell fragrant too. Perhaps cos this hotel accepts transit stays, ie short time so the turnaround is very fast. Am surprised to see this hotel carry two hard core porn channels. If u are traveling w children, it is wise to screen the TV channels first.

- Sheary (8/5): Was good as is just next to my office. Convenient. - 3 mins walking distant to MRT. Shopping & eating all can be done within Ximenting. 1 MRT station away from Taipai Main Train Station.
- Verified traveler (8/5): facilities a little dated but very clean and comfy - Taipea is a great place people so friendly Hotel easily found and central Easy access to the Metro. Enjoyed our stay, not a modern hotel but very clean comfy and friendly. Room with window taken and this was a good size
