den Herder (10/5): Heerlijk sfeervol hotel in centrum aan de gracht - De warme sfeervolle inrichting en het vriendelijke personeel. Mijn ouders op leeftijd kregen een fantastische zeer ruime kamer op de beganegrond, met bad en douche en de wc had zijn eigen ruimte. Er is een lift aanwezig in dit prachtige oud grachtenpand met z'n unieke splitlevels en de daarbijbehorende makkelijk begaanbare trappen. Het ontbijt is prima. Iis geen buffet, maar wordt aan tafel gebracht. Wij komen hier zéker terug. Niets

Guy (9/5): Good base to visit Amsterdam, and it’s very quiet. - Excellent location. Large room, up to international standards and easily accessible. Good bed. Quiet. The building has some character, and overlooks a canal. Walking distance from anything in the center, starting with the train station. Limited service. Limited breakfast. Lounge closes at 11pm, and you get gently kicked out.

Price of room was too high for size and quality of room. Breakfast was adequate but unexceptional-particularly for the 17€ price. Management received suggestions on menu item of omelette and some improvements that can be made for that dish. Staff was outstanding. Hotel was very eager to listen to suggestions and comments.

The staff was very friendly, professional, and helpful. I thought the complimentary welcome drink was a very nice touch. Close to restaurants and bars. I didn’t like that there was no room service, and you had to order breakfast the night before. I don’t know if they were remodeling, but I did care for looking at the stacked up furniture in the hallways.

Doroteja (9/5): Hotel na super lokaciji. - Hotel v centru, vse zanimive lokacije v bližini, ob kanalu. Hotel ima narejen nabor preizkušenih lokacij, pomagajo pri rezervaciji mize, res je super izbor. Soba je čista, osebje prijetno in pripravljeno vedno pomagati. Vzmetnice so že"uležane" tako, da malce padeš v uležano luknjo. Če prihajate z lastnim avtom priporočljivo rezervirati garažno hišo v naprej.

Gerard (6/5): I was expecting a hip, trendy in town hotel, and basically got a bed to sleep in. - The location was good and the bed was comfortable It was very expensive for the room, no view. And, no real facilities (Spa/sauna). We were told initially we couldn’t get a drink at the bar, when I pointed out, they were still open hours, they reluctantly served us a drink, and then rushed us out at 11. What’s the point in having a bar if you don’t have staff to manage it during Bar hours.If I’m paying 400+ euros, I expect to at least be treated with more patience and professionalism. The price didn’t even include breakfast. Just include it, you’ll have happier guests with better reviews

The location of this hotel is excellent - quiet at night even with the window open. Too expensive for a hotel with minuscule bathrooms, tight spaces around the bed and tired looking hallways.

My 3rd floor room has a sitting area with a window that opened onto the canal. The Nespresso maker didn’t work, but otherwise, it was great.

The hotel is clean and has a very friendly reception. We also appreciated the elevator! Our room was spacious for three of us. After a rather crapy night in another hotel we really loved our comfortable bed, good pillows and cozy duvet. We signed for green option and were very surprised when we found a plastic bag with new towels on our door. Even though we didn't need anything, thank you! All in all it was a very pleasant stay. Oh last but not least- we could open our windows- it was so nice to have fresh air in our room. Plus it was a very quiet hotel.

PASCAL JOVER (9/5): Très bon séjour au calme en plein centre d'Amsterdam - Emplacement très calme au centre d'Amsterdam. Tout est accessible à pied depuis cet hôtel où nous étions très bien. Beau quartier La chambre était un peu sombre et la lumière aurait pu-être plus forte. Le prix quand même un peu cher, même pour Amsterdam.

Brandon (10/5): Great room for family of 5 - We were able to get the "Family Room" which is just a massive hotel room with 6 twin beds that can be arranged to your liking. For a family of five that finds it very difficult to travel comfortably, this was the perfect find in Amsterdam. Hotel is in a fantastic location and staff is very helpful and friendly.

Es gibt kein Buffet, aber man kann am Tag vorher angeben, was man gerne möchte und bekommt dann alles an den Tisch gebracht. Es ist alles frisch, genug und sehr lecker. Glutenfrei ist gar kein Problem. Das Personal ist total freundlich und zuvorkommend, der Service perfekt. Die Lage des Hotels ist toll, absolut zentral, aber sehr ruhig. Da gibt es nichts.

Nancy (10/5): Stunning small hotel! - Located in a quiet yet accessible area with very helpful staff. We stayed in a large room which was so nice after being in a tiny cruise cabin.
Richard (3/5): - The view of the canal from the room was beautiful. The location was great - handy for the station, restaurants, shopping, tourist hotspots but in a quiet backwater with no night time disturbance (outside or in). Staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was shabby, tired and in desperate need of a makeover. Black paint everywhere - all woodwork and doors, the rickety ikea-type storage unit with open hanging rack (with black plastic coat hangers) - even the ancient radiator had been given a lick of black to cover the rusty white original (visible on the top). Walls covered in a dated geometric black and white wallpaper. As mentioned the multi-function unit provided for storage, hanging, and to house the safe and tea / coffee making facilities was tacky (and largely black!) and totally inappropriate for a 4* hotel (more like something a student would buy for digs). And moreover it was apparent that it has been brought in to replace another more substantial unit since the footprint of that original was clearly visible and undisguised with a great ugly gap in the (cheap) laminate flooring that had been cut to fit around it. And while we're on the cheap laminate flooring: did no-one consider a rug or two might cosy it up a bit? Superking size bed was comfortable but had only a king size duvet. Bed was also VERY high (anyone with short legs or any kind of mobility issues would need steps to get on it! Double room, only ONE spare pillow provided (additional had to be requested). Furniture (including pointlessly large square table painted black of course) was chipped and fabric worn. Curtains thin and cheap (and unlined). No English / breakfast tea bags - just a bowl of various fruit teas. Staff member seemed not to understand why that was not an acceptable alternative. After bringing milk (and more fruit teas!) and declaring the hotel had 'run out' of normal tea (!) eventually a couple of tea bags were located. There's no phone in the room; just a tablet to send a message to reception... I only did this once and despite requesting a reply to confirm receipt, no-one ever responded. No double glazing or sound proofing of windows which are old (catches very loose) and drafty.

Odalys (10/5): Great hotel near train station - The hotel is about a 15-min walk from the train station. It was very centrally located. There were plenty of restaurants in the area for breakfast/dinner. The breakfast at the hotel was lacking. They are not equipped for breakfast, but they tried. We tried it one day, but it was not what we were expecting. I would suggest you have breakfast at a restaurant nearby. The room was great. Large enough for us and the bathroom was well equpped. The staff was great. Always helpful if you needed them and provided good info for during our stay.

Room was a little small for a 4 night stay but the view was lovely.
