• Susana (10/5): Great value for money! - Very good value for money. The room was equipped with a fridge, kettle, and heater. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. When we arrived late in the evening, the computer system was down and it was not possible to complete the check-in process. Even though it took more than an hour to resolve the issue, the staff quickly provided us with a temporary room so we could settle in. We really appreciated this, especially because the children were able to take a shower and fall asleep, and in the end we stayed in that room instead of moving to another one later. We also appreciated being able to leave our luggage at the reception area after check-out. Overall, a very pleasant stay and we would happily come back.

• Juicers X (10/5): - Very clean and new, everything felt great and more than a 3 star facility. Room is small and just enough for 2 but it didn't feel cramped. The plus factor was that the bathroom is super clean, water pressure from the shower is strong, wifi is fast, AC is cold, and room amenities were complete. Lots of things to do around the Joo Chiat / Katong area and you'll never go hungry or thirsty. Lots of places to see and great for long walks. Perfect for budget travelers looking for a short stay or transit hotel (just 15 mins via Grab/taxi from the airport). Room has no windows, so probably not great for a long term stay.

• Noorjahan (10/5): Well suited place. Great place to unwind and relax. - The room was clean and met above expectations. The Staff were so helpful in solving the room tv sound problem. I would like to say a very big Thank you to JEDD and JASON for helping me. They were so kind and friendly. and another home staff person who came in first to check Thank you to him too. Location is great as it is near to food places and conveneint. A very good value for money as well. Will definitely come here again. I had a cosy stay. There is nothing.

• Helene (7/5): Not bad for a quick visit to Singapore - The staff were very nice. They gave me helpful suggestions for my visit. The walls were very thin and you could hear everything in the hallway. I also put a do not disturb sign on the door because it didn’t need to be cleaned, but they went in the room anyways. I mentioned it to the front desk.

• Elena (8/5): - Das Hotel liegt in einer sehr guten Lage. Bars, Restaurants, Einkaufsmögligkeiten, Galerien alles in der Nähe. Die Zimmer sind etwas klein, mann konnte den Koffer nicht richtig öffnen. Aber für einen kurzen Aufenthalt absolut ausreichend.
• Dean (9/5): A little gem. Sakura hits all the notes for a comfortable, affordable short stay experience. - The location was perfect for anyone wanting to stay a few days, up to a week perhaps. We only stayed overnight due to a 17 hour layover, so we really did not have an opportunity to explore. Having said that, the Sakura Hotel is situated right in the middle of a vibrant restaurant, bar and cafe precinct. You really would be hard to please if you could not find many places to relax and unwind, enjoy a morning coffee, or knock back a few beers at one of the many bars or pubs. Many Vietnamese restaurants are just a few minutes' walk from the hotel - in fact everything is just a few minutes' walk form the Hotel.. The room was on the small side, but for the price, and just one night, it really wasn't an issue at all. I am sure there are larger rooms to cater for families.

• AzzahAziz (8/5): Hari Raya visit - The room decor is beautiful. The window blinds also look fancy. The sink has two taps, one normal, one with filter for drinking. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. The reception staff are also very friendly and helpful, it's so sweet that they gave my kids a hari raya card each to fill out their wishes while i was doing the check-in. I also like that there are plenty of diverse guests coming and going, they also seem happy and smiling. seems to be a popular hotel with happy guests. There were only two power points, one for the mini fridge, which is closer to the beds, and one at the pantry beside the bathroom. We brought extension cables, so it's not much of an issue. We can't seem to get the filtered water tap to work independently of the regular tap, but singapore water is very clean, so not much of an issue either.

The cleanliness, the convenience of being able to walk to the grocery, the barber shop was right next door, and TV in the room for my son. There could have been a chair in the room along with some small towels to shower or bathe with.. and how about a heating device to warm food.

Affordable place to stay for a night in transit from Europe back to Australia. Walking distance back to the MRT for morning trip back to Changi. Combined toilet and shower area in the one room with no shower curtain. Was clean and perfectly fine, but a little inconvenient.

• Keith (8/5): A good base to explore Singapore from using the excellent public transport network. - The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was quiet and roughly midway between the two nearest subway stations, about a mile from each, so a perfectly manageable walk if you're moderately fit. Bus stops were closer. The surrounding area was quiet at night and had a good mix of shops and eateries nearby. We found the bed comfortable and the aircon efficient and quiet. We had one of the budget rooms and were a little surprised that it had no outside window. This made mornings a little strange but otherwise wasn't a problem.
• Svetlana (8/5): Great value and location, but keep an eye on the bathroom - Prime Location: The hotel is situated in an excellent neighborhood. There are plenty of cafes and shops nearby, yet it doesn’t feel hectic or noisy. It’s actually quite peaceful and cozy. Ambiance & Cleanliness: The hotel is very clean and has a lovely, charming interior design. Affordability: For Singapore, the price is exceptionally low, making it a great budget-friendly option. Bathroom Inconveniences: The faucet was leaking constantly, and to stop the water from running, we had to reach under the sink and manually turn off the plumbing valve every time. Shower Layout: When you take a shower, water immediately floods the entire bathroom floor — including the areas around the toilet, the sink, and the trash bin. Your slippers better not be on the bathroom floor! Housekeeping Issues: On two consecutive days, we hung the 'Do Not Disturb' sign before leaving because we didn’t want anyone entering our room or cleaning it. Unfortunately, both times the staff ignored the sign and performed housekeeping anyway.

Almost didn’t talk to us and was watching a match when we were asking him a question. He did not turn off the sound during the conversation which I found really rude. The room was also really small, did not have a window, no space for our suitcases and we could hear everything happening in the room next doors.

• Marco (6/5): Für eine Nacht oke, aber nicht mehr! - Lage war in Ordnung, wenn man Grab nutzt. Das Zimmer wurde sehr schlecht gereinigt (gelbe Flüssigkeit vor der Toilette), Kissen ungewöhnlich hart und keinerlei Schallisolierung. Klimaanlage bläst direkt auf das Bett.

• Keith (8/5): A good base for exploring Singapore using the excellent public transport links. - Friendly staff and a convenient location in an interesting area, that was quieter than the city centre. We were a little surprised not to have an outside window although our room was advertised as 'budget'. This didn't present much of a problem for us as we were out and about in the city for most of the daylight hours.

Hotel was very noisy at night with many other guests having little respect for other guests with banging of doors, noisy children. The noise echoed along the corridors. Staff were loud early in the mornings as they worked, so didn't get 1 good night's sleep while there. Bathroom was cramped trying to get in and out as door opened right onto the shower screen with basin behind door and toilet immediately to your right as door opened, so limited space to stand while trying to open and close door.

Need to book a room with a bathroom that has a sperate shower - The location is about a 17 min walk from train station and it’s only 5 stops to the forest bay light show and lovely park. It’s on a fairly quiet street but close to supermarket and restaurants. The shower in the superior double room is a wet room. It’s a really small bathroom so everything gets soaked. We didn’t use the shower for this reason and wouldn’t use the hotel again, even though it’s good value for money.
