- Jorja (4/5): If you’re wanting a place to sleep and you get paid minimum wage this is the one. - Ease of check in. 24/7 operated. Good aircon. While very cheap, it’s in Singapore’s “red-light district” If you’re wanting a Singapore experience as a tourist- don’t stay here. It’s not very clean, or well maintained. But it is somewhere to sleep.

We did not expect the best but we got the worst. The room doesn’t match with the picture at all. No room service was given.

Without that it was had to perform ablution and clean ourselves after using the toilet... The fact that there was no pipe to clean oneself after using the toilet

It smells horrible, there is smoke smell everywhere and it does not go away. I did not care at first, but when I noticed that all my clothes and EXPENSIVE jackets smells like this shithole it’s a wonder how they can maintain their price. If is also located in a rather large whore area, so be prepared to see a lot of hookers and brothels. Should be mentioned. Not kid friendly. Not non smoker friendly.

Next to the there were many small shops and restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. We were able to store our luggage safely after checkout. There was a strange smell of cigarettes in the room an there was no option to open the windows.

- Ingrid (7/5): - Jeden Tag wurde gereinigt, neue Handtücher etc. Gab einige Busse um in die Stadt zu fahren. Viele chinesische und indische Restaurants auf der Geylang Rd. Das Zimmer ist extrem eng für 2 Personen (Koffer), so gut wie keine Ablagen für Sachen.

- Azaad (10/5): Best budget friendly clean hotel - Very convenient location as i always stay in this hotel on my visit to Singapore, The staff are very nice and helpful. The manager, Angel, and the other colleague are always ready at the reception to help the guests at any time of the day or night. They were very helpful towards my family as we reached the hotel early in the morning, and they managed to check us in early as we had 10.5 hours of a long flight. Thank you, Team Hotel 81 Geylang, for making our stay memorable and looking forward to my future stay in your hotel. Everything is good ,budget friendly, and has a great location,helpful staff, clean rooms ,helpdesk available 24/7 ,flexible check-in and
- Akasha (1/5): Scary - Nothing. Everything, felt like a prison, took our photos at reception, made us sign somthing?? Didn't look like the pictures at all, no frigde, water damage, mold, ans BUGS. Snails crawling on the walls ans curtains had holes from the bugs eating them. The towls were old frayed and stiff, holes in the bathroom titles need I go on it was horrible only stayed the night bc we arrived at 2am. Did NOT feel safe, even the uber driver described the place as "complicated"

She went above and beyond to make it pleasant. It was what I expected.

- Teshan (1/5): Even for free, im not going there again. Check which hotel 81 you are booking, misleading pictures. - I would suggest check very well before booking hotel81. There are several hotel 81 and they always put the best pictures as advert but when you checkin the hotel its completely different. I would have never survive in this room, this was the worst experience. Try find other hotel rather than this, was a huge problem to stay there, not clean at all.
