Guest Reviews
- jolien857 (10/5): Great hotel for good value - Great hotel in great location. Amazing service and probably the best breakfast. Staff went above and beyond
- Gerdi (10/5): -
- NorthStar15792836068 (10/5): Best 5 star hotel in central area - Great location with easy access to everything. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive throughout the stay. Exceptional restaurant with delicious food and a memorable dining experience.

- 370remib (10/5): WONDERFULL - I used service of Lautrec restaurant. Simply deicious!! Very great wrelcoming. Thanks Mr Quan and all team for the wonderfull experience!!
- Dónal (8/5): Great little hotel in a good location. - Great little hotel with a lovely relaxing pool. Staff were excellent. Big screen in dining room
- Venicetraveller14 (10/5): Wonderful hotel! Great stay! - I had an absolutely delightful 3-week stay at this truly excellent city-centre Hanoi hotel. Truly flawless, and most highly recommended. I will return! I've visited Hanoi on work trips many times over the last 20-plus years, always on my own, always for quite long stays, and as a solo woman traveller I am very particular. My priorities are safety, security, enthusiastically helpful service and top-quality facilities - and the Hotel de 'l'Opera Hanoi/MGallery had all this and more. I felt valued and truly cared for at every stage in my stay. Every sign of a commited, keen and professional management who setall the right examples for their energetic, well-trained staff. The reception and bellman/concierce teams were top-notch -- eager to meet every need, invariably went well beyond the basics. Did all manner of extra things keenly and effectively - booking my taxis; showing me how to use the local equivalent of Uber (Grab); providing language and map help, guiding me in use of a local sim card; welcoming colleagues meeting me at the hotel. Excellent English spoken, though everyone smilingly helpful and patient with my attempts to manage basic Vietnamese (always appreciated if one tries, or at least shows interest in the language!). My room: lovely, bright, inviting 4th-floor suite with view of the splendid historic Opera House located just down the road. Impressive renovations recently completed - clearly a great deal of intelligent upgrading has been done this year. Handsome furnishings, all the amenities you'd expect from a 5-star, including ample power points plus good-quality extension lead supplied when I asked; well-planned bathroom; everything well maintained and scrupulously clean. Service very prompt when I asked for things like the lead. And quiet -- soundproofing very good, which I also regard as a must. Excellent restaurant, again with delightful super-attentive staff - very fine buffet breakfasts with lots of choice; nice selection of delicious Vietnamese as well as Western items available for lunch and dinner, and very extensive opening hours - greatly appreciated because of my unpredictable daily schedules. Laundry service fast and careful - not cheap, but still good value. I didn't use the pool and fitness suite but heard other guests praising them. Location: excellent - just across the street is historic (and very much more expensive!) fellow-Accor-group Hotel Metropole; 4 mins walk from charming Hoan Kiem lake, a key Hanoi landmark - and quite close to the Old Quarter where tourists can still go for fast-service tailoring, though sadly my favourite silk shop Ngoc Hien has disappeared, a casualty of the pandemic. But as to the Hotel de l'Opera - in every way a happy choice - I'm extremely glad I opted for this one.

- charlescF2872OR (10/5): Our best ever hotel experience - We’ve stayed in hotels all over the world and this was, without question, the best hotel experience we’ve ever had.
From the moment we walked in all the staff took such good care of us.
The rooms were first rate - beautifully decorated, incredibly clean, comfortable and quiet.
The quality of the buffet breakfast was exceptional and, again, the service from the staff fantastic.
We had drinks in the bar on two occasions. The staff who served us were so warm and friendly, and the way the bartender made the drinks was exactly how we like them.
Thank you to everyone who made our stay so memorable.
- ysumiko (10/5): - The staff were all very friendly, the breakfast selection was excellent, and the hotel is in an exceptionally convenient location.
- Roberta (9/5): - Tucked into a nice and relatively quiet corner while close to the Old Quarter enough with many places within walkable distance. And the staff was so helpful and friendly. The breakfast was also very good.

- Jeambar (9/5): Confort à 360 degré - Emplacement, confort, accueil, petit déjeuner, personnel Pas de remarques
- Kikku (10/5): Great value in prime location - Stayed for 2 nights with my family of 4. We had 2 rooms and they were both clean and well-maintained. The location is very convenient and close to many restaurants and Hoam Kiem lake. The breakfast was high-quality.
I want to personally acknowledge the service of Mr. Quan in the breakfast restaurant. I was eating breakfast and somehow my wallet must have fallen out of my pocket. After returning to my room, Mr. Quan called me to advise it had been found. All cash and cards were untouched. I would have had a lot of hassle if he had not called. I really appreciated his honesty and proactive actions.
I would definitely stay here again.
- VILMA (9/5): Lindo hotel - La cama y el desayuno

- L9731ISkevinm (8/5): Good, high class hotel - This is a very good hotel and very well located near to many attractions such as the Opera House. Classy public areas. Good gym and pool / spa. Good breakfast selection served in a very nice room. Attentive staff. Well appointed, large bedroom. No complaints.
- SeeDotGo (10/5): Really liked this hotel…their food was great! - A friend recommended this hotel, and it didn’t disappoint. Very attentive staff, nice room, and a restaurant that had really, really good food. The location was by some of the more high-end brand stores you see around the world, but location honestly didn’t matter, as we walked very little from the hotel and took Grabs, taxis or tours from our hotel. Hanoi is very busy and loud, and scooter/motorbike/car traffic is complete chaos, making walking anywhere a scary experience. So, the hotel met all our needs, with the concierge very helpful in securing a last-minute tour for us. Would definitely recommend!
- lucewo (8/5): Great location and excellent staff - Very good stay here - especially enjoyed the breakfasts and the staff were great in every regard. We were originally assigned a room with a window into the atrium and were pleased when we could change to a room with an outside window - worth noting that many of the rooms do look out into the atrium.
Great location for walking round the lake and into the old town.

- alanwB4435QJ (8/5): Spacious but dated interior for our brief stay - We stayed for one night with a 5am checkout next morning for an international flight. We booked a king-size bed suite and were given complimentary upgrade to an opera-view suite. The hotel is centrally located in the French Quarter and within walking distance of Hoan Kiem Lake.
At check-in we were offered a welcome drink at the counter and our luggage was brought to the room.
The room was spacious but with a few quirks. The furniture and decor is a bit run-down and dated; our minibar was mysteriously missing a door, the wallpaper was water stained and peeling in some areas, and our small flush button wasn’t working. However, the rest of the room was well functional.
Included with our room was a complimentary happy hour 5-7pm in the bar, consisting of complimentary cocktails or wine and a selection of tapas. We tried several tapas - a highlight was the Opera cake, fitting for the Hotel de l’Opera! The bar service was nice and attentive.
Since breakfast started after we departed, the hotel gave us boxed breakfasts consisting of coffee, bacon, sausages, ham and cheese sandwich, some pastries, a boiled egg and some fruit.
The hotel organised a private car to the airport in the morning ($95 USD), which was a luxury Mercedes (no other options).
Since we stayed only one night we did not have time to check out the other facilities in the hotel.
In summary, we found that the room was a bit dated and rundown but otherwise functional. The complimentary happy hour is a nice perk, and the room is spacious for the price.
- Thi Thu Hien (Jade) (6/5): Good location - Convenient Breakfast
- Brian (6/5): Would definitely not recommend, if you are going to be carrying out maintenance have the decency to advise your guests i - The location is excellent and the breakfasts were first class, but the fact that the pool and outdoor facilities were closed without prior warning warrants a poor rating , I don’t believe for this stay the del’Opera came anywhere close to 5* The fact that the swimming pool and outdoor areas were closed to guests during our stay was a big disappointment, the most annoying part was that the hotel chose not to tell us in advance that there was planned maintenance, not even at check in. Leaving a letter on the desk in the room isn’t good enough so this feels deceptive, had we been told then we would definitely have booked a different hotel
We did discover after a couple of days that we could use the facilities at the Sofitel Metropole which were excellent. This just highlighted the difference in quality from the Metropole and the Opera and without question if we were booking again I’d book the Metropole every time, if that is the definition of 5* then unfortunately the de l’Opera is an OK 4* hotel, so if you are looking to book, I’d seriously consider paying the difference and stay at the Metropole, it’s on a different level entirely

- Lee (9/5): Calm in th center of the city - Beautiful property in a great location. A nice retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Buffet breakfast was a great start to a busy day.
- B9004VXroberti (8/5): Spoiled by our late arrival - Excellent room. Superb breakfasts - this seems to be a feature of the MGallery Hotel chain. The only negative was that we arrived late because of delayed flights. It was shortly after 10pm and the restaurant had just closed. We thought we might get something to eat at the bar but were only offered nuts. Room service was also not available after 10pm (!) so we went to bed on peanuts, wasabi peas and olives. It was a poor show that took the edge off our attitude to MGallery which, based on a stay in their hotel in Ho Chi Minh City had been exemplary.

- JJMayburg (10/5): Awesome with some idiosyncratic bits - Spent a week here - great location for walking to the late and old city. Our room was lovely in that it had a separate sitting area, separate toilet and a claw tooth bath! Towels awesomely big and fluffy. Our view from 7th floor towards Opera House was great. Spa was lovely and the woman who gave me my hot stone massage was excellent although expensive even by VN hotel standards. The concierge was also awesome in helping us organise a foodie walking tour and a private trip to Ninh Binh (ask for the tour operator named Hanna and our guide was the outstanding Ms. Sue-shi Trang). We were very pleased with the tours. The one let down was breakfast - wasn't quite up to the standard you'd expect at a hotel like this. The pho bo was not available on a daily basis and when available, the thin beef was tough. Charged for a salt coffee at coffee which seemed mean given the room price. Could also not get VN Phin filtered coffee on the table - all pre-made (like the pho beeff!)Strongly recommend. Make sure you get a room that faces the street, not the internal void which is over the restaurant.

- Kirsten (9/5): Fantastic comfortable luxury property with great service - fabulous beds and bathrooms nothing - it was wonderful
- dohbd (10/5): Excellent spa ! - Excellent treatment at hotel spa by chiam. Feel totally restored after long flight and thoroughly recommend. Very high standard indeed
- 26raymondt (10/5): You Punch Me or I Punch You Commotion At Lobby - Witnessed commotion at lobby where a patron wanting to fight security and manager, claiming his room has not got air condition fixed for two days. Grand hightlight at this hotel or perhaps my time in Hani. I am glad i didnt have to fight half a dozen of security. Suite big and clean, good water pressure and a non drama two nights. Comolimentary afternoon tea has large variety and is beautiful. Taste though can be improved.

- N7552XGdianea (10/5): Tung my Super Hero - The Staff was wonderful and helpful.
Especially Tung he helped a lot with phone app’s retrieving items from our room super polite kind .
Breakfast Buffets were superb!!

- Natalie_Lee2 (10/5): Feel welcome at here - I haven’t had the opportunity to stay at this hotel yet. However, when I contacted the front desk to request a room inspection and a hotel tour for an upcoming company meeting, the experience was excellent. The staff were immediately willing to assist, welcoming us with warm and genuine smiles.
I was particularly impressed by the bedroom design, especially the uniquely designed dressing table shaped like a musical instrument—it was truly creative and elegant. In the center of the restaurant, there is a catwalk-style walkway with water flowing underneath, which feels very distinctive, and beside it stands a large musical instrument that adds a strong artistic touch to the space.
The bar next to the reception desk is especially beautiful and luxurious. What impressed me most is that even as a non-staying guest, I was welcomed very warmly and professionally.
I sincerely hope that next time, my company will choose this hotel as the venue for our upcoming event.
- VenisianaD (10/5): Perfectly located in the center of boutiques - We reserve the deluxe room. Interior is as good as pictured - well defined finish, superb lighting, lots of convenient power outlets.
Well calculated AC blower positioning, so as not to directly blow to the bedroom area.
Would stay here again.

- Gary (10/5): Wonderful hotel, helpful friendly staff. Definitely would stay again. - Good location, clean spacious room, comfortable bed, delicious varied choices for breakfast, outstanding staff. Would stay again. Liked everything?
- Tấn Phong (10/5): Phòng đẹp, view xuất sắc, buffe ngon nhiều món.. nv nhiệt tình - ks tuyệt vời , bufe đầy đủ ..
- 934navins (2/5): Poor value for money. Would not recommend. - We stayed for 2 nights and had a very disappointing experience. The rooms were run-down, dark without any outside views. Felt like a dungeon. Towels, linen and carpets did not feel fresh. The entrance of the hotel has barely any space for parking. Very highly priced. However, the restaurant was good.
- sstj (10/5): Lovely hotel right in the heart of old Hanoi. - Lovely hotel right in the heart of old Hanoi. We had stayed at the Metropole before and wanted something similar. Everything was done just right...from check in to all arrangements. loved the afternoon free cocktails and appetizers, the beautiful dining room, and our big comfortable room.

- neilh464 (8/5): Excellent hotel - Lovely hotel in a great location. Staff are excellent!
We had a newly refurbished room which was nicely decorated and comfortable. Good powerful shower.
Only downside is the internet was useless, hence 4*. This is essential in a hotel of this standard.
Otherwise a 5* property and would definitely return.
Highly recommended
- GregWah4064 (10/5): Always excited to return - I have been travelling to Ha Noi two or three times a year since 2015 (covid years excluded), MGallery Hotel Opera was the first Ha Noi hotel I stayed in. Each time I come back I try to stay here for at least a part of my time and even if not staying I visit regularly to enjoy the bar and restaurant. All the staff are friendly and approachable, I can't name them all as I am useless at remembering names but I will give a shout out to Minh in the bar, my favourite Ha Noi barman. It's also impressive that General Manager Alberto is always present and making himself known to guests and customers, It makes for a very welcoming experience.
- 543avrilf (10/5): Lovely relaxed hotel in a great location - I was a little hesitant about our stay here, due to some recent negative reviews, but we were very pleasantly surprised! We had 2 opera suites, with balcony and view over the skyline of wonderful Hanoi, including the Opera House. The location was excellent! We didn't let the rainy weather dampen our spirits and had a great time exploring the city. We were able to enjoy the "executive" benefits each evening, with complimentary drinks and tapas between 5 and 7pm - the tapas were excellent! Breakfasts were excellent too - I had the BEST omelette here, cooked to perfection! The rooms, and hotel in general, were very clean with everything you might need. Staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the relaxed vibe of this hotel and will doubtless return when we next visit Hanoi. A big thank you to everyone!
- Elsinore_69 (8/5): Good location, friendly staff - We stayed at Hotel de L’Opera for 5 nights in total ( 3 nights then returned for 2 separate stays).
Our first room was an “internal” room with no outside window, on the 7th floor. The room was very stuffy and decor was dated. On our return visits we had a much brighter room on the 4th floor with windows to outside ( as requested) and decor was more modern. This was much more pleasant and comfortable.
The breakfast each morning was varied and fresh, with very good choice.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Hotel location is excellent.
- Peter (10/5): - Absolutely beautiful

- Moosey_goosey (2/5): Regret Choosing this Hotel - Our stay at this hotel was sub par, we were glad to leave.
When we arrived at the hotel we were informed of construction and told this would only occur until 5pm each day...the construction also meant two restaurants were not available. This information was provided in a printed letter at check in - we were not e-mailed before our stay to let us know. Our room was overlooking the internal courtyard where the construction was occurring- it was a nightmare.
The Room
The decor is flamboyant and obviously this is visible from on line pictures. What was very weird was the curtain that separated the bathroom from the main bedroom area - it felt cheap. The rug on the floor looked filthy....they should just remove them. The passage to the rooms had water stains on the ceiling and the room was just generally badly maintained - it felt dirty and had an unfortunate smell.
We were forced to eat breakfast in an upstairs function room. The service was terrible (the ability of staff not to make eye contact was embarrassing for such a hotel chain) and it felt like we were at badly run conference. The breakfast food was okay.
The worst part however was the ongoing noise and the hotel managements inability to deal with it. At 10pm at night they were still jack hammering and the noise was insane. We had to ring reception three times on two different evenings to unfortunately in the end demand that someone sort it out. Further to this we had one day without hot water, which did not come back on properly in the evening - the last straw for us. We requested a room move but that was not possible until the 3rd night. We were just so disappointed in the reception manager for being unable to deal with the situation. Do not tell customers construction will stop at a certain time when clearly that was never going to be the case. It wasn't even enjoyable having evening drinks and snacks which are a part of our membership level because of the noise. On two nights we didn't bother. If we had known we would have asked to be re located to another Accor property. Or maybe the right thing to do would be for the hotel to offer that option.
The location is good. The best part of our stay was the hotel car pick up from the airport and our return trip to the airport.
I would not recommend the hotel based on cleanliness and maintenance alone. Obviously the construction is probably now completed but this hotel is not to standard in other areas. It was the worst part of our trip. Hanoi itself is lovely and we will return to stay at another hotel.
- Christine (10/5): - Breakfast buffet was incredible! All the staff are super-helpful
- Abdulreda (10/5): -
- Van Anh (6/5): Not quite value the money - Room needs upgrading. Staff should receive better training. Room decoration should be improved
- noteu2025 (2/5): Unpleasant food hygiene - I am utterly shocked and deeply disappointed by my recent stay at Hotel de l'Opera Hanoi - MGallery Collection (Booking No. PNWSDWHR).
During the breakfast buffet, I discovered an unidentified, inedible object in my food. This is not just unacceptable—it is alarming. Food safety and hygiene should be the bare minimum at a so-called 5-star hotel. Instead, this incident left me distressed, disgusted, and questioning how seriously this property takes guest health and safety.
What makes this worse is the complete lack of response from hotel management after my formal written complaint. No explanation, no apology, no compensation—absolute silence. For a hotel that charges premium rates and markets itself as luxury, this is disgraceful.
I did not pay for “luxury” only to be served unsafe food and then ignored when raising a legitimate complaint. This is the kind of negligence that destroys trust in a brand and damages its reputation.
Until this hotel takes full responsibility, provides a clear explanation, and offers proper compensation, I cannot recommend it to anyone. Guests deserve safety, respect, and accountability—not silence.
- msg2108 (10/5): Great address in Hanoi - Overall great hotel. Would definitely come back again.
Located at the French quarter within a short walking distance to the busy alleys of the old quarter
Upscale property, big rooms & good service.
The only issue for this stay was the loud noise from the renovation that extended once up to 10pm. (Renovation is already at the tail end)

- Mike_hcmc (8/5): Great location - Great location. Often staying here although the breakfast area is not my favorite. Room is not inviting. The staff is always very friendly
- geraldys2002 (10/5): Excellent location and wonderful staff - We stayed here for the last 1 week of Jul while exploring Vietnam, and it was the perfect home base. The rooms were stylish and thoughtfully designed, and the beds — hands down — were the most comfortable we've slept in during any hotel stay. The staff were incredibly warm and accommodating throughout our visit. They arranged an amazing jeep tour for us, and kindly helped us with a room upgrade, which made our stay even better.

- Alex (8/5): - Good service The room design is questionable…
- Vivien (4/5): Old decaying, cheap looking hotel. - Nothing The room atmosphere is weird, I don’t feel comfortable when we enter the room, like cheap motel. Stay away.
- Eric (9/5): Excellent hotel. Highly recommended - Beautiful hotel and excellent staff. Breakfast was a standout. Really enjoyed our stay.
- Adeline (8/5): Very good - Location Renovation going on
- 886tinal (10/5): Great location in Hanoi - The hotel is in a great location for walking to restaurants, old quarter and the lake. The rooms were comfortable and quiet. The breakfast had a good variety and excellent quality.
- aztec05 (6/5): Hotel De l'Opera MGallery can try to be friendlier! - I have always appreciated the high standards at Accor group hotels, which is why I chose to stay 4 nights at the Hotel de l'Opera Hanoi, MGallery with family. While the Check-in, rooms and location are commendable, stiff behavior regarding some extra water refill and denying escalation feedback on the hotel premises left me wondering about Accor processes for the first time. No one bothered to reach out during the stay.
While receive weekly promotions from Accor; haven't received any feedback seeking emails on my stay at the MGallery, Hanoi yet :). The hotel is recommended for Business and Couple/Solo travelers; not very convenient or friendly if you are staying family & kids!
- Llandis (4/5): A fine hotel, with the major feature currently in renovation and unavailable. - The room was comfortable - but no balcony or opening window. I booked this hotel for the spectacular picture at the top of their advert showing the plush dining room, water feature and flowing curtains. In reality, all of this area was shut off for building and totally unavailable to guests. The Hotel indicated they tried to inform guests - Yes! they have posted a small sentence in the details of the hotel hidden about 7 scrolls down at the end of the full facilities description in an area I suspect few people ever manage to reach or read. What they could have done, if they were honest, is ensure that the statement was under the fabulous picture of the dining area at the top of their listing. Personally I think it is dishonest to lead with a spectacular picture of an area that is not available to guests. At the least, any guests booking during the renovation period should have been warned when their booking was confirmed and at that point offered some reduction, compensation, or the opportunity to cancel and rebook. That is how I would run the business, with honesty. Instead, the night I had planned for a palatial dinner in that dining room was ruined, and spoilt my surprise treat for my wife. Nothing was offered in compensation by the hotel - it was left up to us to argue on exiting that they should at least pay for our three beers, and our coffee and croissant breakfast. The hotel is fine. But - I booked it because I loved that first glorious picture of the central dining area - I never saw it - never sat in it, or ate in it, and now never will. Shame. I am sure others will have the pleasure. However, in this case the Hotel management were quite happy to advertise something they knew they would not be able to deliver. For me that is not honest behaviour and detracts from their reputation. I would also add that through my travels in Vietnam all other businesses were very honest in their behaviour and they are a lovely nation.
- brouwererwinconsult (8/5): Great service in the heart of the old city - A beautiful hotel in the heart of the old city. Great staff and service. Large luxurious plush beds, great shiny tiled bathroom floors. And a rich choice for breakfast. The lunch buffet is very nice offering a range of choice from slalads, sushi, bread, tarts. The dinner was good. Unfortunately there was construction during the day, with accompanying noise. The massage is recommended.
- H6943BWgaryf (10/5): Hotel with a BIG heart in the heart of the city - Our first ever holiday to this oar of the world and it was so reassuring to walk into this lovely hotel in the the heart of Hanoi which is is a city full of energy and chaos ( in a nice way!) and be welcomed by such a lovely team. Peace and tranquility wraps itself around you in this hotel from luxurious rooms / suites with all the quality soaps / shampoo / body lotions you could dream of!
A lovely swimming pool on the third floor is the perfect retreat after a busy day seeing the many sights and watching the locals go about their working day on the many scooters ( 5m to be precise!)
Breakfast is an occasion in itself offering everything you could imagine covering every base from the Western world to the East wiry which you find yourself.
The team at L’Opera are as good as any - always there to make sure you have a great time
- 4778nathanp (10/5): Couple stay early May 2025 - Visited early May 2025. Booked a suite and it was well worth it. The space was great but even more so was the bed and the bath! Happy hour was well timed, location was ideal and walking distance to the chaos of the old quarter - but far enough away to feel like you in another world. Only small things was, the breakfast lacked a little compared to other hotels in the chain, but met the spot regardless. Would recommend to others.
- Goll (9/5): Superb - The size of the room and the bed. Excellent mattress.
- Marios (9/5): Superb -
- Vikas (9/5): Superb -
- peterokane2 (10/5): Great hotel in French quarter of Hanoi - Great hotel with super friendly staff. A great cocktail bar with a range of well prepared drinks. Staff I. The bar , especially, Mr Minh, we very welcoming and attentive. We ate in the restaurant for a couple of nights and had great food.
Front office staff very helpful too.
Will definitely stay again
- Carina (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Faye (10/5): I would definitely come back, it’s beautiful! - Beautiful and Unforgettable! I was lucky enough to celebrate my birthday whilst staying there. The staff went above and beyond to make my evening so special.
- Capt jelle de (2/5): - This was a scam booking , warned the hotel, no response, scam boking made on my CC, no reply from either hotel or Expedia, will make this worldwide on social media, as people have to know, Vietnamese scammer
- Nomad66002692986 (10/5): Loved this hotel. Clean, comfortable and friendly staff - Absolutely loved this hotel. The entire staff was so friendly my whole stay. Really made it so nice to come back after a long day. I had two separate stays a few days apart and they managed to link it all up and also stay very communicative the whole time. Really blown away by this property. Nice fitness center Sauana and pool too. Would definitely stay here again
- Eric (9/5): Great menu, location. Staff very helpful - The concierge was very helpful recommending a tour operator so we could split our stay and they took care of our big suitcases while away. All good !
- Erynn (10/5): - Great location for walking eating and shopping
- richardeR1101DT (10/5): This hotel should be a training centre for other hotels on how to make a difference to visitors - I have waited until we returned to the UK to write my review as I didn't know if I was over reacting whilst still enjoying our Vietnam adventure! As it turns out I still feel the same after returning home, probably even more!.
We stayed in five 5* hotels during our trip from North to South Vietnam and have to say that this hotel was by far the best in terms of staff, breakfast (the spread was fab!), restaurant food and general feel of friendliness throughout the hotel.
Whilst I cannot remember all the names of staff that made our stay so wonderful I do hope they are recognized for their hard work and helpfulness - not just on one day but for our 6 day stay. F Lang, Ming, Hanh all from the lobby bar and Eine (trainee porter) sorry for the spelling!
We wish we had ended our trip in Hanoi if only just to thank these guys and the rest of the team for being so great. The hotel itself was clean, tidy and in a great position to enable us to walk all over the old quarter and beyond.
I just wanted to send all the other hotel managers and staff back to Hanoi to see how it is done properly as none got anywhere near to these guys and they were all supposed to be the same star rating!
Well Done & Thank you
Rich & Becky
- Gregg (10/5): - Clean hotel with friendly staff
- N8362JRsharonb (10/5): Absolute 5 star 🌟 - Excellent location in the French Quarter. Fabulous hotel with the comfiest bed and the friendliest staff. Our room was excellent, the toiletries are fabulous and the hotel is 5 Star. Heated toilets downstairs are a nice touch. We definitely recommend a stay here.
- Evi C (6/5): - The property is old , fortunately we were upgraded to better room. The first room is old and not clean. The hotel is undergoing some renovation, and we had to breath the paint odour that's bad for health. I developed throat itchiness and allergy reaction
- valpjackson (10/5): Great hotel in Hanoi - Wonderful hotel in great location in Hanoi. The hotel is beautiful, rooms extremely clean and well appointed. Bed VERY comfortable.
