Guest Reviews
- Liane (10/5): - Excellent location for all the sights as well as easy access to the Metro. Staff is amazing and very friendly! Very unique place and the bed was super comfy. A little issue with hot water in the shower but overall I loved this place and will come back!
- NISHAA (8/5): - Beautiful building with a lot of history. The staff are excellent. Just a few kinks to work out under their new management - hot water in showers is very limited and wifi is choppy. Rooms are large and spacious, beds are very comfortable.
- Brian (4/5): - We did not enjoy this property as much as others mainly due to the lack of description of the rooms. The loft room is difficult to move around and you are forced to climb up a small spiral staircase to your bed where at the top you hit your head (I'm 6'2").
We had all kinds of internet issues and no support. I asked for a partial refund due to our experience and was simply ignored.
There are plenty of other nicer properties in Paris, we will not be coming back.
- Jay (6/5): - The area around the property is excellent however felt it was overprized. The registration area itself is quiet dark and they dont have staff overnight. Manager was a little rude to us and needs to be more courteous otherwise the room itself is clean and quiet comfortable. Overall a pleaant stay
- Judith (10/5): - It was exceptional. The staff were amazing and it only has 6 rooms so intimate and friendly.
- Lucia (10/5): - The woman who helped us at the front desk for the 2 days we were there was amazing! She was extremely helpful and accomodating. She assisted us immediately with any question or issue we had.
- Judith (10/5): - I would highly recommend this property. It only has 6 rooms ( one per floor ) and it is inviting and intimate. Staff are lovely and is 2 minute walk to the Louvre and Pont Neuf. Great restaurants and shopping nearby.
- Greg (10/5): - The breakfast was excellent! The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating.
- Tom (10/5): - This property a unique and even a bit quirky. We loved it! It is in a very convenient location, walkable to the Louvre and Notre Dame. So many dining locations around it’s hard to make a decision.
We would definitely stay there again.
- Dorota (6/5): - The pictures on the website are very deceiving. The hotel is very small, and the room is even smaller. The facility itself needs a lot of TLC and renovation. The carpet in the room should go. The staff on the other hand is wonderful and friendly. The location is GREAT!
- Olga (8/5): - Very nice staff.
Cute small typical Parisian hotel in. Very convenient location close to louvre.
Just not cold enough in the room and water from the shower was going through the door.
- andrew (10/5): - GORGEOUS boutique hotel w/ uniquely furnished rooms in excellent neighborhood w/ super friendly staff.
- Ashby (8/5): - Location was superb- rooms were beautifully styled, AC was excellent. Drawback was that the wifi was very spotty, phone didn’t work for ANY calls (local even and front desk wasn’t willing to make local calls for us), and most importantly, the room lock of one of our rooms didn’t work and wasn’t fixed during our 3 night stay despite repeated requests. Despite that, it was an excellent- though expensive- hotel.
- Hilary (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the location was amazing, as it is so close to the Louvre. We were able to walk everywhere and there were tons of great food options around. We really enjoyed the decor in the room and hotel as a whole. As it is such a small hotel, there is only one room per floor, which meant we had tons of privacy.
- rob (10/5): - Right in the heart of Paris in a bustling area of Notre Dâme which is a very short walk away. This hotel has added security, requiring a card to get thru the front door, and also to access the stairwell/elevator. The staff was very understanding that my daughter released one of the Murphy beds from the side wall, and caused some damage to the frame bolt.
- Mary Elise (10/5): - Loved our stay in this special hotel!
- MARSHA (8/5): - It was a fun place to stay, well located in Paris with kind help. The rooms were unique, loved the bathrooms! Would stay again!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Noisy nights and minimal service - Pros: great location, nice sized room, nice decor.
Cons (lots of them):
Intermittent hot water (so morning shows went from burning hot to freezing cold all the time)
No front desk from 20:30 through morning.
NOT quiet at night. Thursday, Friday and Saturday night the bar next door had a LOUD crowd of people outside for long stretches of time. When I asked what could be done, the front desk said "We're not here then."
Do not disturb ignored- repeatedly.
No reply from the hotel when I emailed about the above.
- Andrew (10/5): - Great place, it’s cozy, not as small as other rooms in Paris, friendly service.
- Eleanor (10/5): - We stayed here for 4 nights and it was a great location! Very walkable and tons of restaurants around. Only 6 rooms in the whole place so it’s very boutique which is a nice thing sometimes. Fun vibe to the room and comfy beds!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Konfidentiel Review - It was pretty nice of a spot. Had a floor to ourselves, but their was some "old building smell," which was the only turnoff. Service was nice and the murphy bunk-beds were amazing. I'd stay again with a family and if short term.
Thanks for accommodating, Konfidentiel!
- Shanna (8/5): - Unique rooms at a boutique hotel! Staff are very friendly and helpful. Not far from the Louvre and walking distance to several shops and restaurants. Would have liked to be a bit more centrally located but overall was a good stay. Couldn’t seem to get the room safe to work for me and room service is only offered during limited hours. Otherwise would recommend to others!
- Verified traveler (10/5): 10/10 - Room was spacious and gorgeous. The bathroom was huge and had pretty decent lighting. The location is just amazing. Air condition worked great.
- Carmel (10/5): - This hotel is terrific. 6 rooms! It doesnt get more quaint than this place. We loved it. So unique and Parisien. Recommend it. Staff are helpful - shout out to Pierre and the young woman who were the main concierge help. Onlu drawback is the wifi is not great. I couldnt get it to work outside of the lobby and the TV never worked for us but we didnt care.
- Gang (10/5): - nice staffs, clean room, great services
- Thomas (10/5): Great Small Boutique Hitel - Very good stay with granddaughters in fun, quirky hotel. Room was good sized with double sinks in the en suite bathroom. Bunk beds worked well for young teen granddaughters. Air conditioning worked well.
- Gregory (8/5): - The property was located within easy walking distance of the central Paris Cites, Notre Dame, Louvre, and the central shopping district
- Rachele (10/5): Great Space - Great location. Large rooms and comfortable beds. Great place to stay!
- Jon (10/5): - Cool hotel with well appointed rooms. Small with only 6-7 rooms on the property, but located in a good place near the louvre and the Seine, (right bank). Overall happy with the stay.
- Geoff (10/5): - Very nice hotel, walking distance to the Louvre and a metro stop. Our room was nice and clean and the staff were very friendly.
- Anna (10/5): - Great boutique hotel with lots of charm in a fantastic location. Beds were very comfortable and appreciated after taking the red eye flight over seas. My only complaint would be the air conditioner wouldn’t shut off so the room was a bit chilly, but that didn’t matter since the duvets were cozy and warm.
- Alex (10/5): - If you’re looking for the “French Experience” The Konfidentiel is the place! Located in old Paris, near Samaritaine (shopping Center) Louvre Museum (5-6 minute walk) and a lot of fantastic restaurants. Very “Chic” Boutique Hotel. Very friendly staff.
- martin (10/5): Perfect boutique hotel - Perfect charmin hotel in a perfect location. The service was wonderful as well. Would absolutely reccomend it.
- Janice (8/5): - Great stay
- Christopher (10/5): - We very much enjoyed our stay at the Boutique Hotel Konfidentiel.
The whole staff were attentive to our every need, and couldn't have been friendlier.
The neighborhood was lively, but too loud, with so many dining options on hand.
Thanks for the lovely stay!
- David (10/5): - This is a cute little hotel located super close to the Louvre, shops, and restaurants. The staff was very nice, the room was great, and the beds were super - one of the best I’ve slept in! The breakfast in the morning was wonderful. We stayed there with our kids, and the room had a bunk bed for them and a nice large bed for us. The shower takes a moment to heat up - but the pressure was great and the rain head shower was wonderful! I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay again.
- Jaclyn (6/5): - Location is everything with this hotel! Right next to the Louvre and a short walk to the Marais and Latin Quarter. The hotel was good for the price and very clean. A few concerns including that we emailed in advance to say when we’d arrive (about 11am) and were told we could check in and leave our bags but no one was there when we got there to even let us into the hotel. We waited less than ten minutes but it was still concerning to not have any staff available upon arrival. I would also be concerned if I were to lose a key as there is no one working after about 6pm each day so if you lost a key while out at dinner you’d be unable to get into your room all night.
The room was nice but not four star. Size was good for the price but air conditioner didn’t really work and if you cracked a window you’d be up all night with street noise. Similarly, the TV worked sometimes but not the remote unless you were standing a foot or two from the TV so you couldn’t turn it off from bed.
In general, fine for the price, but I couldn’t recommend it.
- Jerad (10/5): Great nook - Really enjoyed my stay there, clean rooms, nice bed, soft pillows, great staff. Highly recommend.
- Daniel (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at the hotel Konfidential in Paris.
The hotel itself was very central beautifully decorated and made our romantic weekend away even more special.
- valeriya (10/5): - Location !! Everything is around the hotel! And hotel feels like your own Appartment in the middle of Paris. It’s super private with the reception, where you can get a good recommendation. Karim made our trip. He helped us to get into couple of new places for dinners. We had an amazing experience. And again everything was in walking distance! In 6 days we almost did not use taxi. The room are spacious for Paris, bathrooms are nice! I will recommend this hotel and I would stay here again. Very nice , private , luxury spot!
- Roman (10/5): - Perfect location being close to the Louvre and with easy access to the Metro. Excellent room service breakfast. Nice and attentive staff. Unique room design and decor.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Everything was great, staff, location, service, cleanliness. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was the size of the room for the price.
Otherwise great experience overall.
- Alla (8/5): - Perfect location, walkable distance to pretty much all the tourists destinations. Welcoming and helpful staff. The room was lovely! My daughter was hoping for the Marie-Antoinette room, but we got the Gavroche one. That was the only disappointment.
- Yu-Sheng (10/5): Awesome stay - Great staff, GREAT location, great hotel. Clean and nice, will repeat.
- Jon (10/5): - Quaint boutique hotel in a good location near the louvre
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful property with helpful and thoughtful staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very unique room with all the amenities. Large, clean bathroom. Very comfortable!
- Sunny (10/5): - The staff was super attentive. Very responsive to our inquiries. They had some issues with the wifi but they eventually fixed it. The location was also good. So easy to get to the Louvre.
- Sarata (6/5): - Not what was sold online
- ADW (10/5): - Lovely boutique hotel in an ideal location.
Half block from the best little florist in Paris,
Les fleurs de Georges Gay, 110 Rue Saint-Honoré,
Walk to Louvre, one metro stop to Grand Palais, Ile Saint Louis...
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel has a great location; the staff were very friendly and the room was very comfortable. it was an ideal base for our short break in Paris.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A unique hotel room on 2 floors separated the living room from the bedroom with a spiral stairs.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Absolutely perfect location for walking to all historic areas. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating despite a bit of language barrier. Would certainly recommend this property.
- Jamie_Champagne (10/5): - This was our first trip to Paris, and we were very pleased with this hotel. The staff was exceptional and very helpful. The building and room was filled with charm. We loved our stay!
- Jose (10/5): - Excellent location , friendly staff can’t wait to go back
- Verified traveler (6/5): good location but too small rooms. expensive - good location but too small rooms. expensive
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Unique place, done with taste. Service is excellent. The owners make you feel like a guest at their house.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Recommend - It was amazing large room very comfortable
nice reception very nice people
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location. Cozy snd spacious (for Paris). Very friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location and helpful staff. Got good recommendations for restaurants and sightseeing.
- myungjin (10/5): - Staff was great helpful
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This property is amazing, small room, but that is expected in Paris, the location is probably the best you can get, right around the corner from the Louvre, good food in the area, and nice staff that feels welcoming. Staying in this hotel you get the true Paris feel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property is located in an excellent location. It is near many of the sites and is an easy trip from CDG. Front desk staff was very helpful. Quirky room decor make it a fun place to stay.
- Hollie (10/5): - Great location and very clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. The hotel staff were all extremely helpful and friendly and gave us directions/recommendations when we needed them. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.
- Rachelle (10/5): Perfect stay - We loved Hotel Konfidentiel. Felt like we had our own French apartment. Great area and felt very safe.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointed - We had the penthouse room and found the room set up with the bed upstairs (up a narrow circular staircase) was not practical. A/C did not cool and beds were not comfortable. Advertised 2 beds but one of them sat directly on the floor in a small, tight nook. Location was great however.
- Namir (10/5): - The hotel was great. It was conveniently located. The room was spacious compared to other boutique hotels in Paris. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- zhiwei (10/5): - A very unique hotel, well decorated and great location. It's walking distance(5-7min) to Louvre and Seine River. They have an AC which is great for the hot summers, the only thing is that since it is a small hotel, if you arrive very early or very late, its best to notify them ahead of time.
- sobia (8/5): Paris stay - The hotel was lovely and the staff were very welcoming. Chloe was especially very helpful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful hotel, the rooms were spacious and decorated so elegantly. Large bathroom with all comfort features provided. Close to main attractions, shopping, bars/restaurants and metro.
- Harry (10/5): - Hotel Konfidential has only 6 rooms on 6 floors. Rooms are large, especially for Paris. Perfect location a couple blocks from the Louvre, the Metro and high end shopping in the 1st arrondissment. Kareem, the owner is friendly and accessible, even giving us a ittle ride in his classic convertible Peugot. Rooms are airconditioned, but we also had two large double windows tgat open and give axnice view of the area.
- Vivian (10/5): - The staff was very welcoming and helpful.
- Russell (10/5): Great security - A nice hotel close to the Louvre quiet neighborhood cafes close by
- Tim (10/5): - Wonderful small hotel two blocks from the louvre. The winding staircase in the photo connects the living space and bathroom with the sleeping area (upstairs). It's romantic and cute, but something to beware of if you make many trips to the bathroom during the night, or have problems climbing stairs.
That comment should not detract from the value of this hotel. The staff are wonderful, the location great, and it h as a modern elevator to reach all of the rooms. I did not see any of the other 5 rooms, but would assume they were as attractive as room 6.
- Carolyn (10/5): - Loves this hotel. Quiet and quaint in a great location. Room was wonderful
- Verified traveler (8/5): - back street but handy for the location; staff extremely nice and helpful; for them alone would consider going back
- Khloe (10/5): Best Paris hotel! - It was amazing! The staff was very nice, internet worked great, close to great restaurants and boulangeries! Loved it, will return!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great room and location - Great small hotel located in good location - walking distance to river and Louvre and central to shopping centre forum des Halles
- Dimple (10/5): Will be hard to stay anywhere else now - My first time in Paris but having read enough and traveled to other European countries, I was prepared for a tiny little room. I was just excited about the location that it was in the heart of Parisian life and within walking distance from Seine, Louvre, Notre Dame etc. When we entered the lobby and the small elevator, my imagination was confirmed that it's going to be quaint but email. We get of the elevator and land into the quaintest and as Parisian as it can be - living room decorated black and white. Nice closet, modern bathroom and I am thinking where are we sleeping? And then the spiral staircase becomes visible to take us to the top of the bedroom. Eclectic black and white and modem as the rest of the space with an extra bed snucked into the corner. Not sure if all other 6 tons are like this but this one's the equivalent of a lost in the US and gorgeous. The manager lady was sweet, helpful and friendly. Loved the stay here and was hard to leave after just 1 night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Gem in the heart of Paris - I love this hotel! My room was beautiful, very modern, clean and comfortable. The staff was very accommodating and helpful in giving me suggestions and helping me with arrangements. This hotel is in a terrific location, VERY close the the Louvre and other points of interest. You can walk everywhere from here. If I return to Paris, I will definitely stay here again!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cute Boutique Hotel - Great location in Paris, easy short stroll and you’re at the beautiful Louvre, shops are literally round the corner and Les Halles is a two minute walk away. Hotel itself is lovely, just 6 floors and a room on each, I stayed in the Marie Antoinette suite and it was perfect. Will definitely stay here again much better than a regular hotel experience.
- Charles (8/5): Perfect central location. - We loved the hotel, staff was super friendly, great location on the edge of the Marais, bus and metro stops one block away. Our only gripe would be NO COFFEE so pack your Keurig
- Sophie (10/5): - Loved the decor, great use of small space. Super comfy beds & great location What more could you ask?
- Tamara (6/5): Hotel close to the Louvre - My stay was a bit of mixed feelings. While staff were helpful & polite the room I got needed a bit of work. The main light wasn’t working properly and so it left the room feeling dark. I was told maintenance would come fix it but they did not. We were only there for a couple nights so it didn’t really affect me that much.
The bathroom vanity was clean & tidy & clean towels, slippers & dressing gowns were provided. However the shower floor around the sides of the tiles needed a good scrub. Shower was warm & had good pressure.
Great location!
My family member who was in another room had much better lighting & it greatly improved the overall feel of the room.
- P and J (10/5): Spacious Room in Great Location - Our room was beautifully presented and much larger than typical rooms in Paris. Pleasant windows overlooking street in very central location. Bathroom was equally luxurious and also spacious. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast delivered to room was exceptional. If the chance comes up, we would definitely stay here again.
- Brian (10/5): Great Hotel in a Great Location - We really enjoyed our seven night stay at this hotel. Room was conveniently located and a nice size by Paris standards. Staff, especially day staff, was always willing to go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. It felt like you were being cared for by a family member.
- john (10/5): Great hotel - Beautiful hotel great location close to all museums Staff very friendly and helpful. Very clean and quite room. I will definitely be staying here again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was good. We loved the location. Lots of good restaurants and bistros near by. Only a few blocks from the leave. YyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyuuuuuuyyuuhuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuJjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj
- Robert (8/5): Paris Holiday - Amazing place, very central to all the sights. Would definitely go back
- Stefany (10/5): A Paris Decor! - Room was great! Location convenient, safe, within walking distance to everything:)
- Jane (10/5): - Our stay was amazing. The staff treated us very warmly. It felt like we were staying with family. Helpful, courteous and fun. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
- Sara (8/5): - This would have been a perfect stay but no wifi and no accommodation for lack of wifi. I paid to get orange wifi. I should get refunded that amount
Front desk man was phenomenal.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent location. Was able to walk to most major tourist attractions.
- Brian (8/5): Boutique in the Heart of Paris - Great location in the heart of Paris. Only 6 rooms, very good size. Wifi went down twice for 2 days. Overall very clean an unique stay.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Close to Louvre, very cosy - We booked this hotel at the last minute, driving to Paris. The receptionist organized us a 3rd bed and was extremely friendly. (call them if you expect a late arrival!). The 2 brothers running the hotel were so kind and very nice. We had a blast talking to them. The place is very calm, near the Louvre and the rooms are each different, beautifully designed. We have found our new "local" place to stay with this boutique hotel.
- Carol Anne (10/5): Super boutique hotel in the midst of everything - Great location, lovely hotel (comfortable with lots of hot water, and remarkably quiet give the central location) and friendly staff. Only hitch was not being able to split the bill between two people for a room, but I'd certainly go back there in a trice.
- Ginny (10/5): The best choice while in Paris :) - Amazing hotel! We stayed in Marie Antoniette's room. It was perfect!! Staff was helpful and courteous. Wished we could have stayed longer!
- Mohammed (10/5): Highly recommended - This is a small and very beautiful hotel. It has 6 rooms(1 room per floor) and each one of them is decorated to represent a major french event. The location of the hotel is its biggest advantage. It's 2 minutes away from Musée de Louvre on foot. It's also within a walking distance from many major attractions such as Norte Dame Cathedra.
The staff are friendly, smiling and welcoming. Due to issues with booking website, breakfast hasn't been included in my reservation. Despite this confusion, they offered me breakfast daily for free.
- Sheila (10/5): Lovely room & catering staff - This lovely hotel is just a few minutes walk to The Louvre. When trying to find hotels online it is often hard to tell if the pictures are truly representative. This hotel truly is as beautiful in person as the pictures reflect. It is on a quite little street that is near shopping, the river and much more. I really can't say enough about the wonderful staff. They made us feel so welcomed from the very moment we crossed the threshold. Highly recommend.
- grant (10/5): Loved every minute. - Amazing room. Loved everything.
