• U5654KKelliec (6/5): Average stay - When we arrived at the hotel, our bedding had marks on it, the shower was hanging off the wall and also leaking onto the floor. When we told staff about this they reassured us that the bedding was clean and it just comes out the wash with marks on it, they also told us we would be moved rooms that evening however we didn’t actually move until the following afternoon. Our new room was an upgrade - much bigger and no issues that we could see at first. We were grateful to the staff for moving us to a more comfortable room. The shower in this new room also leaked so I feel like it is a design issue. The rooms are right on the streets so can be very noisy at night if you’re a light sleeper. The rooms appear to be cleaned daily. There is tea, coffee, milk sachets and water provided. They also have a safe, fridge and kettle in the room. The hotel is close to attractions, 20 minute walk to most things except the colosseum that was slightly further away. Card details are taken at the start of check in- we’ve never experienced this so were wary of this however no issues. City tax is paid at the end of stay. If we were coming back we would probably look to stay somewhere else, with this being a last resort type of place.

• Mf430700 (2/5): Money scam and lack of security - We stayed at Hotel Rinascimento at the beginning of January. We had secured our reservation with a credit card number via Booking.com. As agreed with Booking.com, we paid for the full amount of our stay at the moment of our check-in. Yet, the hotel had withdrawn 25% of the total stay amount a few days before our arrival. This is not an unusual procedure at hotels all over the world in order to avoid cancellations or costs derived therefrom. The wrong part is, however, that to this date almost one month later, the hotel has not credited my Visa card with that 25% back. The worst part comes now, though: It is a truth well-known that in case of fire, lifts must not be used. During our stay at Hotel Rinascimento, the stairs onto the first had been blocked by a wood wall with a sign on it writing “trespassing is forbidden”. Apparently, there were rebuilding works going on on the first floor before the festive days -but not during the festivity days themselves. No works were going on for our whole five-day stay. So, in case of fire at Hotel Rinascimento, neither lifts nor the stairs could have been used to escape, the room windows onto the street being the only escape for guests. A bold decision by the hotel management to say the least, considering that it is an illegal measure and also with the fresh memory of the fire tragedy in the Alps only two days earlier. The hotel should have been closed to the public during the building works.
• Plantjude (10/5): Wonderful Rome❤️ - Excellent location to all main attractions within walking distance. Rooms were Excellent for what you needed . Fabulous bakery, 1 min walk away. Fabulous restaurants 5 min walk away. Breakfast was perfect for what you needed. Very helpful staff ... Alexandera on reception very friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.. We've had a fabulous time in the beautiful city of Rome❤️
• 941maym (8/5): Room 400 very spacious but a little noisy. Great helpful staff - We stayed at RM 400 which was a cross the main building. We had our own entrance meaning our door is right next to the road. The room was narrow and long. Didn't mind the walk to the toilet as there was so much space. Great helpful staff especially the chef who was kind to our son. Receptionists were helpful as well. The only downside is next to the room is a service area for the shops in the proximity and got noisy at early ours of the morning. Delivery vans parked right Infront of our door, blocking our exit but only for a few minutes at a time. Breakfast food great especially the choices of vegetables freshly cooked. Would recommend.

Gentlemen at reception tried to make us pay for the room again even though we had already paid. We reported the en-suite toilet door was broken. No attempt was made to fix. We also reported one the power sockets was working. The person at reception just told us to use another socket. No apology for the damages to the room. We also not provided with enough bedding for three adults. I requested more. This request was ignored.
• Roam65533975096 (10/5): Great experience and excellent staff. - Rooms were very good and Breakfast with nice variety. The location of the hotel is great and close to everything. Only one problem was they gave the wrong type of rooms for all three rooms ...  But thanks to wonderful Susie being very efficient and friendly she managed to take care of the issue while we had our dinner, and when we returned from dinner, all three-room problems were solved. We were really pleased with the great service she provided to make us happy and comfortable during our stay. Susie was more than fantastic. Thank you for everything, we were very happy during our stay.

Surrounded by fabulous restaurants ! - We arrived early and had been travelling all night from Ireland, Alessandra was so welcoming on arrival, she got us straight into our room to relax. She was so kind and helpful, as was Giovanni, they both helped with booking tours, assisted in getting taxis and even recommended restaurants and local markets. The hotel itself was central to all amenities, 15-20 minutes walk from The Vatican, the Colosseum and the Trevi Fountain. I would highly recommend this hotel!
• Sunshine702182 (10/5): A Truly Memorable Stay at Hotel Rinascimento - Our stay at Hotel Rinascimento was absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived, Alessandra and her staff made us feel so welcome. They were not only friendly but also went above and beyond to accommodate every request, which made our time in Rome even more enjoyable. The hotel’s location is another huge highlight — it’s within easy walking distance to many of the city’s major attractions, making it a perfect base for exploring Rome. After full days of sightseeing, it was wonderful to return to such a comfortable and inviting place. I cannot recommend Hotel Rinascimento highly enough. The combination of warm hospitality, attentive service, and excellent location truly made our visit special. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Rome!

But the room was clean and the hotel is superbly located in the heart of Rome. A "shout-out" to Giovanni and Julia for exceptional service. Good value but I'm not sure I would recommend it. The breakfast should have been included in the daily rate. But then again, every tourist wears an "ATM" sign on their forehead in Rome :)

• diane4health (10/5): BEST LOCATION! - First hotel stay in Rome. Smaller boutique hotel. Fantastic front desk service. Alessandra was so caring, met our every need with a smile. Assisted in getting taxis, showing us great coffee house nearby, and she felt like a friend. Giovanni was there to assist when we checked in. There was a booking issue and they both fixed it. Our queen bedroom was small but very clean, bed comfortable and room was quiet. So close to many of the must sees with a short easy walk. We did not include the breakfast, it looked very good. A reasonable priced hotel for the quality and location.
• Micksheeran (10/5): Just Beautiful 5✨ - We stayed at the Hotel Rinesciemento for four days 19th-23rd May 2025, Hotel is spotlessly clean, and the room allocated to us was beautiful overlooking the street. Alessandra was exceptional in attention to our every needs, and went out of her way to ensure we had a beautiful stay. The breakfast in the morning was lovely, and had everything you could want. The staff are friendly and helpful And the location is a gem, close to all scenic attractions, Vatican 20min walk, Colusseum 25min walk, Trevi fountain 20min walk, but the hotel is in an idyllic location which is quiet at night but yet has a Italian ambience during the day Thanks again for a beautiful stay ✨✨✨✨✨AAA

• darknessd2024 (10/5): Great hotel great staff (if you treat them like human beings) - For anyone recently travelling to Rome with last minute or booking.com please note that the issues with hotel rooms not being paid for is not the hotels fault. I got official confirmation from LM VIP office, it's the supplier not the hotel. Originally I was supposed to stay at the hotel trevi on the trevi fountain but due to storm damage they moved me here. Also with the payment issues I had to repay and then get a refund from LM, (which I am, fyi email the CEO it worked for me lol). I was met by Geovanni, who seemed no nonsense at first but after a short period of chatting to, was actually a perfect professional but with a big heart and I made a friend. If it wasn't for Giovanni my short solo trip would have been miserable. Restaurants recommendations were spot on and great places, one was a lovely local place just on the main street 3 min walk from hotel, brilliant food and well priced. Second was a bit more up market but I asked for seafood and got the best. Hotel location rather good, Rome is best seen walking so if anything this has a good central location, it's about a 15-20 min walk to trevi fountain. Not all the rooms are off the street, I did have a street room and kinda liked the novelty. WiFi is a bit poo but if that worries you then don't try budget holidays in old cities lol. Yes there are some homeless but they get moved on by the locals or the hotel it's not as bad as some are making out. This hotel is not a Hilton bit it's well run it is friendly anyone saying it's not, is likely one of those who think they are super important and have no social empathy. Beat in mind I had a horrendous first day in Rome and I'm so glad I ended up at this hotel. It's away from the hustle and bustle of the main areas. Recommended it for those who just want a good reliable base to sleep. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Still Giovanni and all the staff are amazing. • IloveJan (2/5): Don't Even Think of Staying Here! - My wife and I were booked by Tourcrafters, Libertyville, IL, at this hotel for four nights in September of 2024. The front door of the hotel (see picture to the left) is in an alley. The actual rooms are across the alley. The doors to each room open to the alley. No hallways. The exterior wall of the room is the alley. There are no windows in the room. Drunks sleep in the doorways of the rooms and must be removed by the occupants in order to gain entry. The interior walls are paper thin. You can hear your neighbor breathing. The TV and internet do not work. This place is nowhere near the Trevi Fountain unless you like very long walks. The hotel staff is rude and bullying. The picture of the front door shown here is inaccurate. The actual front door is covered in graffiti and obscenities. My wife was terrified. We left the day after we arrived and stayed at the Hilton Cosmolita which is an actual hotel with extremely nice workers. It was expensive, but well worth it to be able to sleep safely. We requested a refund from Tourcrafters, Libertyville, IL, but have been ignored because they erroneously believe that I will just forget about it and let them keep our money. They are in for a surprise. Bottom line is that this place is a dump. There are plenty of hotels in Rome that have windows and hallways. Pick one and let this hotel go. PS. We did not try the breakfast.

• amandabU1068SG (10/5): Great Place to Stay! - We had a great stay at Hotel Rinascimento. We were greeted by Roger when we arrived, and he told us all of the places that we should see. We really used his map to plan out our days. The hotel room had direct access to the street which we actually enjoyed. Everything was very close by, and we were able to walk to all of the attractions. It's also close to the bus stop if you prefer taking public transportation. We had a great stay and would for sure stay here again in the future!

• Z998REstevet (2/5): This is a scam. Keep looking! - This was the only bad hotel of our Europe tour. We read the reviews and decided to take a chance bscause of the location, but its true - they send you to a different location about 30 min car ride away. It was a terrible hotel, worst matress, no AC, and no one cared! We arent to fussy, but I did ask if they could help and although we alrsady booked an upgraded room, I offered to pay more for an upgrade but they said that was the best they had. We found another hotel and when we showed up back at the lobby with our bags they suddenly wanted to help. Skip this one folks! There are lofs of good places to stay in Rome. This is a scam where they book you to one hotel but ship you off somewhere else.

• Judy (2/5): Should have read reviews first - We can not rate the hotel since we were never there. We landed in Rome at 1:00 am and we taken to a different hotel on the other side of Rome No notice from the hotel and there was plenty of time to send an email since we didn’t arrive til 1:00 am!!! We specifically chose that hotel for location and the moved us to a “ sister” hotel with no rate decrease or compensation for the inconvenience. Not happy !

• Patrick (6/5): - We weren’t able to stay at this hotel. We had reserved 2 rooms, and upon arrival to the hotel at 9am there were no rooms available. I had reconfirmed our reservation on 2 different occasions, so the hotel automatically found rooms at a partner hotel. They paid for our cab ride 20 minutes away, and we had lovely rooms at the Hotel Trevi Group. I believe it was an upgrade, and Hotel Rinasmiento comped breakfast for our trouble. So I have no complaints, because they took care of us. There were two very upset groups of customers who arrived after us and were not provided rooms. I would not book at this hotel again, due to the lack of a guaranteed reservation, but I am grateful the hotel staff accommodated us in other facilities.
• Verified traveler (4/5): make sure to ask for a room in the “old” building - The room was disappointing, on ground floor, facing an inner small courtyard where was bike-parking & storage, no daylight, windows were frosted, so no view whatsoever. Room was small, much smaller than on the pictures and you could hear absolutely everything through the walls. Our room was situated in the “new part” of the hotell, across the street from the reception, the rooms in the old part of the hotel were much nicer & I don’t feel I got what I paid for. Location, however, was great.

• Oscar (8/5): - Property is in a great location. Close to all major tourist attractions. The unit was quite a bit small for the 4 of us but we made it work. The showers need work though, very little pressure comes out of the shower, basically trickling. That will be my only complaint.
• Marco (8/5): Perfect location in Rome - Very nice staff, very nice hand made breakfast on a nice rooftop terrace. Helped with taxi transfer as well. The room was to a backyard, but that kept temperature really nice and the room was spacious and comfortably furnished. The biggest plus aside of the hotel is the place where it is located in town. Perfect starting point.

• Jim (8/5): - We've stayed at the Rinascimento for years. Great location, good staff, nice breakfast, very professional in their transactions with us. This year, at Easter and with huge crowds in Rome, we were assigned a room in an annex 500 meters from the main hotel. We were traveling with family and no warning was given that we would be separated. We should have been warned in advance and given the option of switching with some younger family members traveling with us. When we protested, we were moved. But that wasted an entire morning having to move our luggage into yet another room. We booked a couple of months in advance. No idea why we were exiled to a faraway place with few street lights and tough to navigate at our age.

• A (10/5): - Staff was super friendly. Hotel was very clean and cozy. Breakfast was perfect. A/C worked so well our room was quite cold, even when there was record heat outside.

We then walked several hundred meters to a different building where we were accommodated overnight - in a ‘hotel’ that was clearly not where we booked. Moved back to the ‘proper’ hotel the following evening and cut short our stay. Poor service, well below our expectations.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location and class Rome neighborhood atmosphere. Easy walk to Campo di Fiori, Piazza Novona, Pantheon...Trestavere! Great breakfast but a bit disappointed a hotel in Rome would not have Espresso or Cappachino!!! Service was amazing at Reception with great attitude and helpful in every way!

• Verified traveler (10/5): Awesome Italian Hotel!!! - It was our family of four’s first trip to Italy. The Hotel was perfect. It was on a small narrow street which really made us feel like it was a true Italian getaway. It was a historic building and road but rooms were all very nice and updated, the bathroom was gorgeous. The beds were a little on the firm side but nothing terrible. We arranged for a private car transport to and from the airport through this hotel and that was awesome. Courteous driver and very comfortable car. The reception staff all spoke English and gave us a map and highlighted areas of the city we might want to see (and some to avoid). It was nice to find a room large enough for four people comfortably. The breakfast was huge! Unique egg and meat dishes each day along with large selection of pastries and fresh pies. Although nestled off the main road, it was an easy walk to trattorias for dinner (highly recommend Polese, a 5 minute walk), a gelato shop (Sweet Things - freshly made every day), souvenirs shopping, taxi service, and the bus. We took a taxi to the Colesseum and it was reasonable. We would highly recommend this hotel!

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Fantastic location for exploring the historic center of Rome. You are literally steps from Campo di Fiori and Piazza Novana, very close to the Pantheon. With a slightly longer walk, you are at Vatican City and St. Peter's. Important bus lines run along the road one block from the hotel. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. It appears that many of the rooms have been renovated recently. The breakfast is well worth the extra expense.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Other then the fact the thermostat wasn't really working properly to control the temperature in the room every thing else seems to be on par.
• Hilary (8/5): - Excellent location. Friendly staff. Room was 'outside' across the road rather than the main hotel and very small and a lot more basic than any illustrated on the website. The only window opened directly onto covered garage and scooter parking lot and so didn't even open the blinds and room service kept them closed too. The room was cold at night. Our deal included breakfast buffet and a bottle of wine. The bottle of wine finally arrived on the 3rd evening of our stay after 3 times of asking. Buffet was fine.

• Verified traveler (4/5): Nice neighborhood but dark and uncomfortable - This hotel has expanded into buildings across the street so our room was not in the main building but was, actually, a storefront on the street. It was noisy and dark, there were no windows because it was right on the street, and the beds were hard rocks. The breakfast was terrible, stale bread, dried-out eggs, and horrible coffee (unacceptable in Italy) and the breakfast staff was rude. We would not recommend this hotel at all. When we expressed our disappointment in the room, the front desk staff offered to move us to a different hotel in an entirely different neighborhood which would have been inconvenient and time-consuming. A very disappointing stay in Rome.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Reservation not honored - We arrived at hotel to find that they did have ourr reservation despite our confirmation. They moved is to a hotel miles away that was a terrible property.. one that we was showing as $67 night. Yet they collected our FULL FEE of $189! Not okay at all. They tried to tell us that the free breakfast would make up the difference. Breakfast consisted of cold eggs and stale Danish that were not edible. No reply from orbitz either despite 2 emails.
• Kevin (10/5): Great Stay - Amazing location. Great staff. Feels like you live in the best part of Rome during your stay. There is a garage called Parking Via Guilia that literally is 50 yards away to walk back to your car so parking is an issue, but not really for this option. Definitely recommend staying here even at a high rate !
• Verified traveler (6/5): Reasonable hotel for the price - We were only in Rome for 2 nights. The hotel was clean and tidy but the rooms were very very small. Two adults in the room was very cramped. Lucky we were mostly out.
• Manvir (8/5): Nice hotel in central location - Great simple hotel for a weekend break in Rome. 20 minutes from the Vatican City and 25 minutes from the Colosseum. Nice standard of rooms, perfect for a short stay. Would definitely recommend to friends and family.
• hoonlin33 (4/5): pictures misleading - The room looked nothing like the pictures on orbitz. The staff was very short when checking in and when we were checking out early the front desk person was sleeping in the room next door and didnt have our check out info in his binder ( which is very not efficient to begin with) so our van had to wait on the tiny street where the hotel is located, getting honked at because other cars couldnt pass. I usually give hotels the benefit of the doubt but the room looked nothing like the pictures. Do not be fooled, it is not a 4 star hotel, more like a 1.5 to 2 star. Definitely not worth the price.

Well located, but the hotel is expensive compared to other hotels in the area and considering its conditions. The room for 4 is too small and the reception, carpets, walls, and in general rhe facility needs imirovements.

• Verified traveler (2/5): Moved to another hotel that smelled like sewer - Once we arrive at the hotel they informed us that they are moving us to another hotel ( should have done before hand as we just had a long travel from New York ) sent to the hotel Trevi that hotel smells like a septic tank and they never did anything to remedy the situation overall the room was beautiful but the smell was overwhelming. We were in a beautiful suite that held all four of us and there was a door directly off the street by the Trevi fountain overall was beautiful but the smell ruined the experience.

• FIONA (8/5): Central for the main sites - Great location being quite central between the main sites. Great restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. The room was small but very modern and clean. Lots of satellite channels but none in English. All the staff very pleasant and helpful except for one lady. Fantastic breakfast.

Rooms are small but not terribly so, but terribly designed: there is a nook for the luggage rack which does not fit when it is folded out, and a chair that does not fit under the desk or anywhere else if you'd like to walk on both sides of the bed (except the shower). Bathroom was very nice and spacious. Staff were generally unfriendly (we walked through the lobby without a hello several times and I think there are only 12 rooms in the hotel---the lobby is not large). Also got an insistent request for a voucher (not needed) at check-in and had to argue.

• MS (8/5): Very conveniently located - The hotel rooms are very small, and the carpets could use a cleaning, but the breakfast is outstanding and the location is good.
• AJMac (8/5): Fantastic location - The only negative is that most of the rooms are tiny. You need to be very tidy and organised as no room for open suitcases. Everything else was fantastic. Would be very happy to stay again. Very comfortable bed, very clean room, very good size bathroom. Nice breakfast. very friendly and good service.

• Gareth (6/5): Much smaller and noisier than expected - A nice enough hotel but it was in a particularly noisy part of the city. Additionally, the images on the website suggest the hotel and rooms are much larger than they are. Our bathroom was particularly tiny. The dining room was also ridiculously small for the amount of tables and chairs they had in there. The double bed was one of those awful "two singles pushed together" types. Oh and finally, the wifi was atrociously slow. On the plus side, the cleaning was excellent, it is conveniently located for walking to most of the major tourist spots and there was the excellent Lucifero taverna less than 90 seconds walk away.
• Denise (10/5): Great experience.. - Great location, nice staff, comfortable bed and room - would definitely stay there our next visit. 45 minutes to the airport and the staff arranged for our taxi - perfect.
• Andrei (10/5): Nice hotel in a great location - Great small hotel in a very central location within easy access to most sites in a quiet place. Easy connection to Termini station - bus 40 - 15 min. Very cosy and friendly. Exceptionally clean. Very reach breakfast ( breakfast room a bit tight). Very good value for money.
• ross (6/5): cheap windows mean a lot of noise - excellent breakfast. a big problem with the rooms facing the street is that the windows are cheap, and do not provide sound insulation. you hear everything 24/7. the hotel needs to change the windows ASAP.
