With multiple public transportation stops right across the street from the hotel, it was truly in a perfect location to get around the city easily. The hotel staff were friendly, the hotel was clean and comfortable, our room was spacious and well designed and there was a nice breakfast buffet in the morning as well. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking to visit Prague, it’s truly an amazing city and Hotel Klarov was the perfect place to stay while visiting.

The staff went out of their way to make this celebratory trip really special and memorable. If I had to pick something, I would say that the air conditioning unit in our room was hard to manage and didn't seem to work well and also it was not clearly explained that we could use our room card to get back into the hotel after hours. But overall, we had an amazing time in an amazing city.

• Renee (8/5): - Location was perfect. Our room had several things broken. It wasn’t anything that we couldn’t live with, but broken. Tiles in the bathroom floor were lose, blind chain was broken (they fixed it), shower spray nozzle wasn’t working properly, and there was a huge stain on the carpet. The elevator was a bit tricky to work, so we ended using the stairs each day. All that being said, others in our group had no such issues. We were in room 302. Pink (singer) themed room.

Enige minpuntjes: veel lawaai en gebonk dat goed hoorbaar is vanaf de gang, de deur blokt niet veel geluid af. De douche in bad is geen probleem, maar de houder is veel te hoog en je bent verplicht om de douchekop manueel vast te houden, wat niet fijn is. Voor de rest was het top!

• Michael (8/5): - Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I had a ground floor junior suite with direct access to the common garden which made it feel much less like a hotel. Location was excellent - steps away from the path up to the castle, a subway station just across the street, and right next to the bridge into the old town. Staff were very helpful and accommodated a 2 hour early check-in. Highly recommend.

Room was very spacious with a beatiful view of the castle on top of the hill. Only negative thing I would point out is the breakfast. Don't bother with this and use one of the many cafes instead.

• Diana (10/5): - El hotel está ubicado estratégicamente, a solo unos minutos del Puente Carlos. Las vistas son hermosas, la zona es muy tranquila y segura, se puede caminar a cualquier hora sin problema y se duerme muy bien. Las camas son suaves, cómodas y las almohadas son un sueño. El desayuno sirve fruta fresca y deliciosa con suficientes opciones de pan dulce y salado. En este sentido lo único a mejorar es que solo incluyen una opción de huevo que no está del todo bien cocido. La atención es muy buena, todos son muy amables y se esfuerzan por darte al menos una sonrisa y un saludo. Totalmente recomendable.

• Jonathan (10/5): - This hotel is in an ideal spot to see sights of Prague without staying in the middle of the chaos. Equidistant from the castle and old town, everything is within reasonable walking distance. There was even convenient parking right out front, though admittedly we were there in the off season. The staff is incredibly helpful and go out of their way to make a stay comfortable. Breakfast each day is better than the typical continental. I’m normally a rather harsh travel critic. I can find nothing but positives in this experience. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Lovely large rooms with a beautiful view of the castle. The breakfast room was small but a good selection and always enough to eat. Would definitely recommend. We had a lovely stay. Thank you again.

• Julie (8/5): - We had the Adrea Bocelli room and it was very spacious but a bit awkward with beams crossing in unexpected areas and with the sleeping area upstairs from the bath. Great views though, and lots of room. My biggest issue was that I was not expecting so many stairs in a hotel with a lift. Even in the entry-way, and up to our sleeping area.( so if you are handicapped ir have vertigo it may not be the best place to stay). The staff were very nice and helpful, breakfast was great, and it is in a good location close to old town and the castle. (Nice hotel, just research to be sure it will work for you)

• Martin (8/5): - This hotel is conveniently located a block away from a busy tram stop. It is also very walkable to the old part of Prague. It was nice having a good breakfast every morning. The room was comfortable but the only downside is the odd shower/tub. The tub is very high up (so it's a bit precarious) and does not have a full shower door (so water goes all over the place).
• Joel (8/5): Awesome. - Great location, service, breakfast, surroundings. Our one complaint is when our son joined us at the last minute and we added him to the room reservation, the extra rollout bed was very expensive (not allowed to write price), and he is tall, so the bed was not at all comfortable. The regular bed was very comfortable. Make sure you book accordingly, and don't add a bed, unless it's for a small child.
• Maedean (10/5): - We were so exhausted from our travels after a mix-up with our sleeper car travelling from Zurich, we were utterly delighted by the level of customer service we got at Hotel Klarov. They were accommodating and let us check in a bit early. The room was generously appointed, with a fridge, coffee maker, bathrobe and slippers, even a little blanket to hang out on the couch. I really appreciated how whoever designed the rooms, worked in harmony with the historical architecture and added a contemporary, playful but warm feeling with color, texture, and music references. The staff were so helpful even on our check out day, helping us figure out how to use public transportation. The breakfast was hearty and lovingly laid out, with hot and cold options. We were truly rejuvenated by our stay here, the attention to detail was evident. Thank you!
• Kathleen (10/5): - Our experience was pretty close to perfect. We loved the convenient location. The breakfast was beyond expectations. It was really hot when we were in Prague (85 F) and we appreciated the air conditioning. The hotel is not a good choice for anyone who cannot handle stairs. Even though there is an elevator, you will still have a flight of stairs between the elevator and your room.

For a downtown city hotel, it was very reasonably priced, offering a delicious buffet breakfast, and a huge room with a view of the Prague Castle, and a well-stocked mini-bar.

Anton and Daniel were extremely helpful at all times and nothing was too much for them in assisting you. I will be back!

The subway, tram and bus stops were very close yet far away enough so you don't hear any road noise. The hotel staff contacted us before arriving to check if we needed anything and offered to pre order a taxi. We accepted and the driver was waiting for us and the tab was put on our account which was very easy. Bee highly recommend this hotel.

The rooms were clean, comfortabe bed, breakfast was amazing, and the location was perfect. We had to leave early the last day and they even packed us a breakfast to go. • Ken (10/5): Very nice hotel - The Klarov is a very nice hotel in a very good location in Prague. It is great for visiting the castle and especially for taking trams and trolleys around town. The staff is very kind and professional. The rooms are excellent-very comfortable. The issues I had were 2. One, there are no channels other than news channels for English TV watchers. Nothing other than CNN, BBC and Al-J. This is common in hotels in Prague generally, but it gets old. Why do Russians and Germans have options for movies and we do not? Also, when I get the bill, the room, reserved though Expedia has a large tax bill associated with it. The hotel claimed that this tax get charged on top of the Expedia rate. So watch out for this. it was over $150 for a three night stay or $50 extra a night.

Be aware Expedia doesn't make payment clear - you pay at hotel in Euros or local currency. Or can pay hotel by bank transfer in euros in advance. But with exchange rate price may be more than what Expedia says in £s on website. But a great hotel to stay at - recommend it.

It included a full kitchen with some dinnerware and pots, kettle and pod-style coffee maker (charge for the coffee). Strangely, there was no cutlery. We didn't need it, so we did not mention it. Given their very helpful attitude, I expect they would have supplied cutlery if requested. They also arranged transportation through a local service which was very reliable. We were warned against trusting taxis in this city.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Top location - This was a great location being a short stroll to castle and Charles bridge and general top spots in Prague. We loved the location. The hotel has a lift but we chose the stairs which there were plenty of.Helpful enough receptionist who spoke good English. We would go back there as the location is so handy.

Our trip was made extra special by all the staff who went the extra mile. I can't recommend this hotel high enough!

• TERRI (8/5): - The location is convenient. It is close to transportation but that means tram noise. Restaurants are close. There is wifi but no computer to use. Nice hotel!
• Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel without air-con - I booked this hotel from hotels.com and in the confirmation email, it said the room rate was charged in EUR but it actually charged in CZK in my credit card. The actual room rate charged could has difference due to the exchanged rate. Just be aware. The hotel itself is a good one, new and nicely decorated. The location is excellent, just 1 min walk to the metro and less than 10 mins walk to Prague castle. The staffs at the reception are very nice to suggest a couple of nice restaurants and places to visit around the area. The room is spacious with high ceiling. However, the room could be quite warmly in the evening since it has no air-con. You can open the window at night to let the breeze in but the noise from the street will fore you to have all the windows shuts.
• helenna (8/5): Nice little hotel - I can't really say enough about this hotel, a few negatives, but they don't matter too much compared to the positives. Really really good location, slightly off main foot traffic route, but very close to bridge, so easy access both sides of river. The views from the rooms over look the castle to the right and the river and town to left. The negative is cobbled road outside makes traffic noisy and if you sleep with windows open, as no aircon, you tend to be woken often. Breakfasts are lovely, rooms are spacious and very clean, the staff are beyond helpful. So delightful hotel, will defiantly consider again.
