Das Frühstück war sehr Basic, das Zimmer wurde bestimmt seit 10 Jahres nicht gestrichen, die Aufzüge sind nicht gewartet und das Personal ist unfreundlich. Viel zu teuer für das was sie bieten. - 646davep (4/5): Worst hotel of our trip - After spending almost 10 days in Salta and Jujuy this was by far our worst hotel experience. The hotel is old, musty, and lacks character. The 4 Star rating is definitely not deserved, with 2 stars being more suitable and perhaps somewhat generous. The breakfast buffet is also very average with generic choices that lack a personal touch. The rate is cheap and its location is convenient, close to downtown (although the 10 block walk is through a very old and unappealing part of downtown). The front desk guys were courteous during check in and out. Rooms are spacious but the old and smelly decor does not promote an enjoyable experience. Would not come back, even for free.

- FabioAlberti (8/5): Very nice Hotel - a very nice Hotel - then compared to the area of Argentina where it is located, it is simply a dream. wifi is not bad and staff is friendly and welcoming. the room also were very comfortable. the bar is quite slow in the service.
- OscarR945 (8/5): This is definetly a 3-4 star argetinian hotel - Yes, some of my co commentators rightfully pointed out the tired look of the hotel. It has seem better days. We had lunch by the pool and it was good, and the breakfast was full of delicious pastries, breads, yogurts, cereal, juices and even scramble eggs. Keep in mind you are in Argentina , bacon and eggs are not common for breakfast. When in Rome.... Service was friendly and room spacious. Not a bad place at all.
- georgematthews (6/5): 3 star hotel at best - We were disappointed with hotel but perhaps our expectations were too high as the Argentinian rugby team were staying there.it was impossible to get served a coffee or drink in the lounge. Bar food was poor.the bedrooms were large and clean.there was no hot food provided for breakfast which for a hotel of this standard.we decided to eat next door at the Sheraton which was light years better than this hotel at a very reasonable cost.
- RosieMarie95 (4/5): would only make a 2 star - We stayed recently for 2 nights. rooms are outdated and in need of refurbishment. bathroom was poor with stanied bidet, and extremely outdated tiling. room was clean though. breakfast was almost non existent, no hot option, lack of food to cater for the number of guests and when food was available there were no bowls, plates or cups. Lifts have seen better days, large gap between the lift and outside doors!!!! staff tried to be good, but overall generally there was a poor and slow service. would not be rushin back here
- FermanaghKeys (6/5): In need of urgent refurbishment - Very worn and tired in all areas of the building. Breakfast very disorganised with no hot food offering or fresh fruit. Nearly impossible to get bowl, cereal or cold milk at the one time on the buffet table. Still waiting for the orange juice! Lovely towels and bedding with a good large comfortable bed but noise from the busy road outside made it difficult to sleep. Would also add that the staff here were one of the most friendly and helpful of all the hotels we stayed in Argentina but they cannot compensate for the grim, old and shabby building.
- NigelDCapeTown (6/5): Nice Location but Old and Tired - Supposedly a a five star hotel, more like a three star. Hotel needs an update and re-modelling. We were upgraded to suites which were very spacious but furnishing very dated. Staff were all very friendly and helpful . Air conditioning in bedrooms barely functioned and the noise from the street did not give one an option Breakfast service was OK, good coffee and reasonable selection from a buffet. No fruit or hot dishes available. WiFi was apparently available but there was some sort of problem with the service.

- Idontwant2gohome (4/5): Very tired and old - I stayed at Catalinas Park Hotel, because it was the starting point of a 6 day biking trip. I would definitely not stay there again. The hotel is very tired and old. Since I was there with a group of people, I was able to see a few different rooms. We were told that the 6th floor was the nicest, but my roommate and I were on the 3rd floor, and our room was very tired. It was somewhat clean, but the bedding and furniture were old. The bathroom was also quite old, and the towels were worn. The view from our window was of buildings that were in disrepair. The 6th floor rooms that we saw were similar to ours, but just a bit updated in bedding and maybe furniture. We did not use any of the facilities. We missed the breakfast, as well. We were there during a time when the trees were just starting to turn green, so the park across the street looked junky and not pleasant. Overall, we were not impressed at all with the hotel and San Miguel de Tucuman.

The walk to the city square, sites and restaurants was just over 10 blocks with busy intersections and aggressive cabs and buses. The towel itself is just okay. I have stayed at far worse and much better. The rooms were spacious with a king sized bed. The bathrooms were clean but overall the atmosphere was dingy ad kind of old.

- ilSeriedipendente (6/5): 5 star worth 3 - The hotel is big and central but not exactly what you dream of when you think of a 5 star hotel. Rooms are big and bathrooms are cosy but nothing really catches the eye and everything is sort of average. The fitness centre and the pool are on the plus side, breakfast is not definitely not a 5 star. Staff is lazy and uncaring. The busy streets of Tucuman's nightlife are just five blocks away and the park in front of the hotel is ideal for joggers.
- Lainba (8/5): Nice location, best in the City - I recently spent 3 nights at Catalinas Park Hotel. In any other city this hotel would be a 4 star property, but the rooms are adequate. The bathrooms are large. Breakfast was varied, and service was pleasant. The location is very nice looking out over the park and convenient to get in and out of. The hotel has both a gym and a swimming pool.
- nlopedebarrios (6/5): Good enough - The hotel infrastructure in Tucuman is not very good. There are plenty of 4-star hotels mostly outdated and this in particular is no exception: it's not a five. I went with my wife and kid, we took a superior double room, with king size bed and an extra single bed. Room size was Ok, bathroom very good, with avg amenities: soap, shampoo, conditioner, shower cap. No shower gel, no toothpaste, no brush, no comb, nothing else. TV was a 32 inch LCD with a few cable channels, no complaints there. Breakfast nothing fancy either, but they allow to order espresso latte instead of regular coffee at no additional charge (like most 5 star hotels). Personnel very nice and friendly, and Tucuman overall was a good experience, it's not as awful as someone stated. It has a small but nice gym and a decent pool on the 1st floor. Unfortunately the water was a ice cold. The hotel restaurant is fine, we had dinner and they have a nice menu and the food was great. On a final note: a Sheraton is boing built a block away from this hotel. They'd better improve it or it will dissappear.
- ecrescia (8/5): Very comfortable hotel and beautiful views of the park - Our flight was re-scheduled and the airline put us here for a day. The rooms are comfortable and the bathroom showers are amazing!! lots of hot water we all enjoyed. There is an outside swimming pool and terrace on the second floor which the kids enjoyed. true, this hotel has probably seen a better day, and also true we did not pay for it so for us it was really great to have this place in Tucuman. We loved visiting the "Casa Historica"or "Casa de Tucuman" which is 8 blocks away, and having lunch at "El Portal". Tucuman in January is incredibly hot and humid, and we all appreciated our hotel room, showers and swimming pool.
- NandaL (4/5): No way it's a 5 stars hotel - First: avoid going to Tucuman!!! Terrible city!! Dirty and there is NOTHING to do!!! I had to go because of business only!! And, even though, I regret so much!! The hotel is dirty, TV from 1980, the room smell like cigaret!! They offer breakfast, but is awful!!! The shower let he bathroom all wet bc the water doesn't stay inside the tube. Not enough trash cans, no mirrors and the "frigobar" is terrible !! I hate the hotel and the city!! I will never come back again!! The only thing good is the people who work there! They are very polite!! And helpful.
- saltacity (6/5): Nice hotel but nothing special - The Catalinas Park used to be the Gran Hotel. After it changed owners in 2002 it was thoroughly renovated and named after the new owner's wife. It is now a nice hotel but 5-stars is probably misleading by international standards. As far as SM de Tucuman is concerned it is definitely one of the best hotels around. (Actually it is quite hard to find decent accommodation in SM de Tucuman and expect if you have to go there for business you should simply avoid the town.) The Catalinas Park has good service and food is good. Overall it is a nice experience but nothing outstanding or extra-ordinary.
- Travel_Maniac08 (4/5): 5 stars not always means 5 stars - I traveled to Tucuman for business and decided to try Catalinas that has changed owner and has been renovated becoming a "5 star hotel". I can tell you that it has many conforts but not the ones you suppose to get on a 5 star hotel. I got to the hotel with big boxes and luggage for an event and the taxi left everything at the staircase of the entrance.. no bell boy was there to assist me and when I approach the front desk they were talking to each other and told me to wait! Wifi was not fluent in all the hotel so I had to keep moving from one place to another in order to get signal. Hotel beds were less confortable than average. I tried to book a manicure with 1 day in advance and they did not have any personnel. If you are travelling to Tucuman for business, I recommend patience and have a nice appetite because food is great!
