Guest Reviews
- Edmund (6/5): - Location was perfect, next to MRT. Bar downstairs was very noisy and music went past midnight.
- Nittinunt (10/5): - Staffs and Location are great, right after Subway train station but has pub and restaurant on 1 floor. It will be perfect if you don't mind any noise.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Great Location!! Close to Thipsamay and Jay ay Cuisine and MRT station right at the front door of the hotel! Bed was very hard though and room wasn't the cleanest.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Wi-Fi - I stay at The Park whenever I'm in Bangkok for the past 4 years at least with no complaints... But the last trip I'm getting annoyed with the Wi-Fi connection..
- andrew (10/5): Good lication - Everything was good. Good locations 50 sec walk to MRT... Service staff are friendly. But only the mattress was hard. Pillow too soft.
- Goh (8/5): Nice and Convenient Budget Hotel - Checking In was a breeze and there was a PC for you to use 30mins daily at the reception floor. Room and Toilet was ok, the usual standard. Bed is a little too low but comfortable mattress. Wifi is good too. No Breakfast in this hotel and No room service too. There is a Pub just directly at the entrance (small entrance) of the Hotel. There is a Huay Kwang Night Market just around the corner and sells good street food and clothings and Massage Palour too. The Famous God Ganesha Shine is just a 2mins walk from the hotel entrance. Metro Station Huay Kwang is just below the Hotel. Conveniently to places like Rachada Night Train Market, only one station away ( Thai Cultural Station) and 5 stations away to the New Mixt Chatuchat Mall ( Chatuchat Park ), which is just behind the famous Chatuchat Weedend Market. Mixt Chatuchat Mall is Open Daily.
- Andy (6/5): - It’s old, but good location. Very near mrt .........
- James (2/5): - Wifi was disconnected every 10 mins and I have to fill in all the username and password and noisy at night from the bar downstair
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Everything is ok but the toilet smell strong pee and I think the light is not enough
- Steve (10/5): - Excellent place. Very convenient as it’s just beside the train station and there is a only bar that opens till 4am.
- Francisco (10/5): Great value. - Beds are hard. Just like every other hotel in Thailand
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Convenient. Near to MRT. Near to 7-11. Overall one of the best hotels I’ve stayed.
- NG (10/5): The Park Residence - Regular stay whenever I’m back to bkk.. friendly front staff, housekeeping did a great job to ensure room is clean, neat to Ganesh shrine and night market is just round the corner
- teo (2/5): Amazingly lousy - I have never come across service worse than this.. The room power plug in 403 is not working and the only statement the counter staff gave me was "i dont know, i dont stay here". I book for 3 nights and i guessed i will have to survive without power plug...
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Just in front of MRT station, too bad they dont serve breakfast.
- NG (10/5): The Park Residence@bangkok huai khwang - Has been my regular stay whenever I’m Bangkok.. awesome place.. right in front of the mrt and night market a stone throw away
- Marc (4/5): - Some of the lights are not in working condition. Staff didn’t make up room for 2 days.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location very convenience as next to MRT. Counter staff are friendly.
- Choo (8/5): Comfort & easy access - Usually drop by bkk every 1-2 month. Missed out for 3 months and happy to see some upgrading work done in the bedroom. As usual greet by friendly front counter staff, checking in over here is the best during my years in 🇹🇭. Always fast & swift. The location, food and MRT make it so much easy for my staying over here. The only advice, if you are light sleeper. The live band might keep you awake till wee morning.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Convenience to take mrt but very noisy at night from the bar downstair
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great location and clean rooms! The hotel is about 20 mins from DMK airport and very convenient to access the subways.
- rustytravel (8/5): - hotel is just a stone throw away from Huai Kwang mrt which is very convenient.. but as many people mentioned, sound proofing isn't that good.. thankfully, i only encountered serious noise disturbance on my last night..
overall, i was satisfied with my stay.. the room was bigger than i expected.. and there is a 7-11 shop nearby at level 1 to get some snacks and drinks.. there isn't that many things going on nearby, so nothing much to do.. though there is a night market nearby, it does seem rather quiet and frequented more by locals than foreigners..
- Choo (8/5): Good Location with easy access. - My choice of hotel when stopping by bangkok. Friendly staff that make you feel welcoming.
- Garich (8/5): Good hotel & location - Excellent location - right beside the MRT STATION. 40mins to the airport by MRT.
- SHANICE (8/5): Worth for a 4 days 3 night stay - The rooms are good, the services are good too
The staffs are very polite. Worth staying for a short trip.
- Yves (4/5): Not worth the detour - Can find better for that price
- Chen Yongjie (4/5): Noisy! Loud pub below. Everything else is good. - I couldn't believe that none of the reviews I read talked about the noise level. It was until 2+am! The loud music playing below at the pub. It was disturbing and I only get to sleep by 3.30am. I would not book this hotel in my next trip as I am traveling for business and I couldn't get a full rest.
They should soundproof their rooms.
Other than that, everything else is alright. Comfortable enough room and convenient location near the train station. Some dirty items not cleaned in the toilet.
- Albert (10/5): Perfect location - My Wife love ‘‘tis place so much that so we decide to stay hear on our future visit bcos of the convenient etc
- Shu Fen (6/5): Convenient Location - Very conveniently located near Huai Khwang night market area, near to the temple, salon, eateries, money changer and a chill out bar below hotel. Cheap and budget hotel stay. You don't need to tap a room card from the lift to get to the level of your room. Smoking rooms available too. Don't expect good service and maximum comfort during the stay as rooms are not sound proof.
- Garich (10/5): Good Connectivity - Hotel - Decent hotel for a short stay. Good connectivity via the MRT. Not much touristy things to do nearby. Convenient bar/pub at the Hotel lobby. Local night market.
- Brian (10/5): - hotel is right at entry to MRT station. close also to markets.
- Terence (10/5): Little Gem next to the MRT and night food market. - First time staying here, didn't know what to expect. Location was great, as it was physically next to the MRT station and closeby to the night market. There is a cafe/pub downstairs but could not hear the noise from my room upstairs. The only thing it needs is a little morning cafe shop nearby so can have breakfast, only thing that is closeby is MacDonalds which was about 15mins walk.
Superior Room sized was ok, big bed, nothing fantastic but was adequate for my short stay.
- Et (2/5): Everything also $$, customer service fail - Different day encounters: Request for extra keycard - deposit of 200baht, Request for ice cube - 40baht, request for panadol - 40baht, request for 15 more minutes extension - 200baht
Request to change room because the air con is not cold - not done.
Shower head only have HOT water and COLD water. No in between.
Rooms are noisy from the restaurant live band downstairs. Had requested for a room away from the noise, reception say no room when I had already indicated. No rooms for all 5nights when we are there?
Request for bottled water because we do not have housekeeping that day. Reception doubt our words.
Location is good. Other than that, all the others fail.
- Edmund (8/5): - Room is clean and satisfied.. Modern looking..
There's live band at the hotel lobby till around 2-3am.. there will be noise during your stay.. if you tend to sleep early in the night..
food street stalls are 10-15mins walking distance..
hotel below has a restaurant..
MRT station Huai Khwang is just hotel door steps..
7-11 convenient store is just 2mins walk on the left..
overall good and pleasant stay compared to its price.
- Petrie (10/5): Amizing place - Room was amazing. Noise from the pub below have so much change its not as noisy as before and the songs are so much more soozing
- Verified traveler (8/5): Near the train, clean & convenience to attractions - Hotel staffs are great, greet us upon arrival, and had specifically inform us on our room.
- working mum (2/5): room not properly clean - Although we book and prepaid for 2 rooms for 5 nights. We check out after staying for 3 nights as we cannot take the conditions of the rooms. Room floor sticky, one of the room wall has cowebs, bedsheet & towels, old and worn out.
Although we have 2 person each room, only 1 toothbrush provided.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Thumbs up hotel ! - Always my top choice whenever I go Bangkok
- Verified traveler (8/5): location - this hotel is at a very good location...................................
- Verified traveler (4/5): Hotel next to MRT - The location is very convenient. Overall is not bad if there will be better wifi connectivity and noise level can be controlled. Also surprising whole room has only one power point that is very inconvenient.
The problem is the noise that contribute by the PUB below the hotel that last till 4am.
- Mario (6/5): Hotel above the MRT station - Hotel staffs are not friendly. However this hotel is very convenient to everywhere. The hotel is just on top of the MRT station. There are many eateries and shops around the area.
- Bruce (6/5): value for money hotel - Overall value for money hotel. With night market and MRT nearby.
- Puay Soon (8/5): Convenient - Generally use the hotel just to sleep and rest
- Verified traveler (8/5): easy travelling. downstair is mrt station already - want go where also easy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location is very good, the MRT station is in front of hotel. But the bed is hard..
- Puay Soon (8/5): - I like this hotel location
- Verified traveler (8/5): Go for this hotel if you like to go to Chatuchak, - Nice comfortable stay.
Very good basic hotel only miss the slippers!
Had room on Carpark side so no traffic noise, not even the mucic downstairs.
- JUHONG (10/5): Good Location. Right infront of MRT - Well. Have been staying there for the past years whenever i go. What more to ask for?
- Cavan (6/5): - ok only.
- JONATHAN (8/5): Great Hotel to stay.. Its my 3rd time. - It was Amazing...
- Choo (8/5): Great place with good location - Enjoy staying this hotel, with the nearby night market and hotel beer garden. You will never go hungry. What attracted me most will be the BTS just few step away from hotel, make it so convenient to travel anywhere. The only thing upset me will be the water heater, hot water comes and go half way thru shower even lever is position in hot water. Something you guys might want to look into it.
- Henry (10/5): Good. x100 - Big Room. nice bed & friendly staff. but no breakfast.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great place at night - Had to do business in the area. Close to MRT and they were very accommodating to me with any issues.
- Yan Ning (8/5): Reasonable pricing - It was good. Just that at night, the place will come alive.
- Verified traveler (8/5): I love my stay at The Park Residences - The room is relatively clean and pleasant. No foul smell of burnt cigarette in the room. Amenities comes with soap, shampoo and daily clean towels. The room is equipped with a hair dryer and a mini-fridge. Below is Huai Khwang MRT station which can bring you to Central Plaza Rama 9 (Phra Ram 9) or Terminal 21(Sukhumvit/Asoke) for your shopping needs and food. A nearby 7-11 store can help you in your water ration and nick snacks. Very convenient to travel but sadly not a handicap friendly environment. No access for wheel chair to enter the MRT station. Live bands are available at ground floor almost very night and those would like to chill out will love this place. Peace and quiet is a luxury as live bands can be quite loud at certain times. I definitely enjoy my stay at Park Residences
- Verified traveler (6/5): good stay. must try the resturant dwnstairs. - nice hotel for the price. right in front of the subway station. 7/11 next door. very convenient overall. newer hotel but aging. must try the restaurant downstairs. live music at night.
- Kalakate (6/5): - it was good.. the location was great, just a step from MRT. access to all Bangkok's spots
- SC (10/5): Everything perfect except wifi - Wifi on and off. Wouldn't count on it. Advice get your own SIM card
- Verified traveler (6/5): Perfect location next to MRT station - Very good things: location, cleanliness, helpful and kind front desk staff, very comfortable bed
Complaints: Chances of having hot water for shower not good (only one of my showers during my stay was hot), not so many TV channels
Good outweighed the bad though - especially the great location next to MRT station.
I'll stay here again!
- Cory (8/5): Will stay there again. - Such a great hotel. In the heart of everything or a short train trip away.
- Bruce (6/5): My regular hotel - As usual, this is my regular hotel i stayed whenever i go bangkok.
- JUHONG (10/5): WONDERFUL HOTEL & LOCATION - Always love this hotel ever since I started staying there. Right in front of the subway, right beside night market & given that the latest Train Night Market at Thailand Cultural Centre which is 2 or 3 station away from Park Residence, the more I love it.
Below the hotel is also an open air restaurant with singers singing light songs & also beers & food for a chill out the night before going back to own country.
Except that it does not comes with free breakfast. I might be wrong but it is not important as typical hotel breakfast are just simple eggs, sausages etc.
- Chuhong (8/5): - Based on the price i paid, pretty decent stay. Loved the location as there are tons of stalls selling local food at night. BTS conveniently infront of the Hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good location - The metro is just below. Just a 2 mins walk to a stretch of food n night market. 7-11 is also just below. Very good location. However, there is a bar below the hotel and the singing can be loud through out the night, which make sleeping difficult if you r a light sleeper
- Ong (8/5): Nearest MRT - Except for aircon not very cold until at night. Live music but noise bearable
- Alfi (8/5): Close to Night Market and MRT! - Nice place to stay in.. full room amenities with hairdryer etc.. Room tv channels are just allright tho. Black out curtains are good as i usually sleep in very late.. Taking the mrt to Huay kwang is a breeze and if you take the taxi.. just tell them to huay kwang mrt.. easy
- Roselyne Fionne (8/5): Must Stay Hotel ! - Great Place to stay if you like local street food !
- Rendall (8/5): Nice experience - Location: Right beside Huai Kwang MRT exit 4. do not need to walk into any small road or alley. In just 5 minutes you will venture into Huai Kwang Night market. If you want to get some food or shopping. 4 station down to sukhumvit MRT which is where Terminal 21 is located and as well as Asoke BTS. 4 station up you will reach Phahon Yothin MRT which is where central lad phrao and union mall is situated. 1 more station down is chartuchuk station.
Room: Room is clean. Only 1 card is given and a deposit of 500baht is required. The room is relatively big enough for 2 person. bed is comfortable. Quite a modern concept room. Yes, there is hot water. Room cleaning is quick and fast.
The hotel have a restaurant with both indoor and outdoor sitting. The live band is pretty good. a nice place to chill.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean comfortable and convenient - Friendly, helpful staff, clean, comfortable and very quiet. Close to MRT and of course a taxi or motorbike are just outside - so convenient.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Value for money hotel - Certainly value for money hotel. BTS and night market are just a stone throw away from the hotel.
- Dan (10/5): - Friendly and helpful staff.
Good food and live music at restaurant.
- Choo (6/5): One of the good hotel to escape from traffic jam - Location of hotel is good, just few steps away from Huai Khwang MRT. Easy to travel in/out beating all traffic jam. And this is the 1st trip that I'm able to save money from taxi to airport and break free from the jam. MRT & BTS cost me only 56 Baht to airport. Overall is good & pleasant stay. But if you are a light sleeper, try stay away from those 4 digit room. As there's a pub directly below which live band till 2am and pub closed at 4am.
- LONGJEMENG (8/5): Great Park Residence - The room light was quite dark although light is on. Overall is good and pleasant stay. Location was awesome as outside is near to MRT Huai Khwang
- Zhang Chuan (6/5): Good and bad~ - The hotel location was excellent! Near to night market... literally 10 steps to hui khwang mrt station. Room was really good.
The bad. On our last night stay. At 3am. The room got blackout. It wasn't a trip in power as our power banks and the refrigerator are still working. Went down to get help... she said some of their hotel rooms get blackout from time to time. And there was no way to fix it at 3am.... worse of all... I have my flight that following day. In the end... we have to pack all our things and move to a smoking room.
No compensation or anything was given.
Everything would have been perfect if not for the last night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): try the resturant. - convenient location for a good price. 7/11 and subway right outside. the restaurant has really good thai food with a live band at night.
- CHUNG SUN (8/5): Extremely convenient Location ! - Right behind a MRT exit of Huai Kwang Station. Extremely convenient !
- tan (8/5): The Park Residence a choice that u can trust :) - the stay was good very convenient as the MRT station is right in-front. I can find alot of local food beside the hotel.Just that the Live music below the hotel ends very late so for me i do enjoy music its okay for me. But for other guest maybe is too noisy .
- Verified traveler (8/5): Few minor translation problems - Hotel is located right at the MRT. I asked for a quiet room away from the music downstairs. They put me on the 4th floor on the end. Could still here music at night, but it was ok.
There is no breakfast food close to this hotel. I was told to take the bus 2 stops or go to market. Where they pointed was street carts and of course Thai food.
The bed pillows are very thick and at 2 am my neck was killing me. I went to the reception and asked for a soft pillow. Tried to explain. The gentleman said, No have. The next night I found a 1 soft pillow in the closet with a laundry bag on it. I took the pillow case off the one on the bed and used the soft pillow. Much better sleep.
I asked where was the night market and the lady at reception told me to ask at the MRT.
For dinner, drinks, and live music we enjoyed staying here. Service was good and I understand there is a little language translation to English at the front desk. Overall my stay was good and I'll be back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location - Noisy until 3 am in the morning. Good location just beside MRT and night market.
- Tai (6/5): if you travel by mrt this is it! - I would only recommend this hotel if you take the mrt at its doorstep. As my husband and l are in our fifties we go everywhere in taxi. So as you know Bangkok is jam jam jam. The location is abit out of the way and not many taxis know where it is. So having the hotel map is a must. Other than transport by taxi a problem the hotel is clean and decent. Worth what you pay.
- Gregor (4/5): Good for anonymous, non-charming stay close to MRT - It's basic, it's what you pay for. No charme, no extras, no service. No sense of business, as we were not offered the online rate for the room when we walked in. Thus booked online, sitting in the lobby. Crazy. However, the rooms are clean, facilities are well-maintained and staff is okay friendly (except for when ordering a taxi - lady said airport-shuttle is 700bht and if we do not want it, we should wait on the street at 4am and wait for a taxi to pass by). We prefer a nice guesthouse or homestay, but it was OKAY for a night in BKK.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice affordable and very very close to the MRT. - Enjoyed my stay well. Wonderful. Travelling was easy with the mrt.
- incagold (10/5): - Superb staff, MRT station in front, negative was very few restaurants nearby. I was happy eating at the small local thai cafes several blocks away. But I would stay here again on a BKK visit..
- Bing (8/5): Great Value, Awesome Staff - The hotel was located right in front of the Huai Khwang Metro (MRT) stop which made it super easy to get everywhere. It was also a central location for taxi & moped pickup. Staff were friendly and courteous. The room was clean, beds were decent and the AC worked. Only one person in the room could be connected to WiFi at a time which was inconvenient, but not terrible. Room was on the 4th floor so noise from the karaoke bar downstairs was not an issue.
- Wai (8/5): Good Location - Great value for a 2 nights stay. Location is superb. Situated just above Huay Kwang MRT station. Friendly staffs.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great Location & Good Room - Despite the loud music from the pub at level 1 (which some might find it enjoyable), the stay at Park Residences was awesome. Room seems newly refurbished and the location is just awesome. 10 steps away (literally) from the MRT line.
- danel (10/5): its a very convenient hotel - I love this hotel location very easy access to the mrt station hui kwang excellent for going out and coming back from shopping and site seeing . the room are very neat and clean tv is gd 32 inch with enough channel to keeop you occupied need food just come down and walk down and there you are the night market for supper and still shopping
great place had a wonderful time staying there most important its safe plac to be.
cheers
danel kwong
- richaerd (8/5): it was great place for the low price - it was a 8 min walk from BIDC and underground train station is a right side the door
- Aprace (8/5): comfy beds, clean room - water heater can be warmer, sound proofing to existing windows can be enhanced as live band plays downstairs.
- Juan (8/5): Nice hotel , very confortable - The hotel was very good, nice , clean, good staff, the only problem was the location, a little bit far from the central points, and if tou want to go there it is not enough with the address, you have to know the places near by.
- Vince. (8/5): Nice & comfortable hotel with reasonable rates - Overall, I have a nice stay(4nites).the location
Is very convenient as the train is just steps
Away fr the hotel.main drawback is there are
Not much eating places in the surrounding
Area unless u can settle for local food..huay
Kwang night market is walking distance too
- Tank (8/5): nice place - as long as to choose a room not facing the road, you will have an excellent stay experiences
- Brandon (8/5): Value for money stay - I paid about SGD$50/night for a 3 nights stay at the Park Residence hotel. Room was bigger than those budget hotels' in Singapore and was very clean as well. Hotel is located along Ratchadapisek road and there are many malls (Central Param9, Esplanade, etc) around the area, as well as, Huay Kwang night market. I would suggest that travelers who stay at Park Residence hotel take the MRT to the town area as it is much faster and cheaper than getting a taxi. The jams in bangkok can be massive at times and I was caught in one for an hour or so!
- CHC (8/5): Great Location and Good services - Located next to Huai Khwang MRT and many places for meals nearby. However, there are quite a numbers of Adult Entertainment spots in the vicinity, so not recommended for family with kids. Quality of service was good, staff can communicate in English and checking in & out was quite smooth. The room was clean but the mosquitoes are quite annoying, need to bring mosquitoes repellants. I found the yellow lightings in the room a bit glaring, hope the management can change to something more soothing to the eyes. Overall, quite a satisfactory stay and I will continue to stay in this hotel on my next visit to Bangkok.
- Dylan (6/5): The 3rd stay experience - This is my 3rd stay at Park Residence within 4 months. Everything was alright except WiFi, really need to improved. Poor WiFi system will cause guest switches to other hotel.
- slcc555, the famous (8/5): Close to all must-see sights. Good example. - I think it is very conveniently located just beside the Huay Kwang MRT. So going to most part of Bangkok is very quick and convenient. There is a 7Eleven just to unit away and getting grocery or a quick munch is easy. Also there are many eateries just around the corner. Room condition is average. Staffs is responsive when assistance is needed. But they can be more proactive to make their services better.
- Dylan (6/5): A fair place to stay in BKK - This is my 2nd stay at The Park Residence. WiFi quality is better than the room I stayed last trip. Over all is a fair place to stay in BKK. There is a golf driving range "Pro Am" close by. It takes about 10 minutes walk to get there, very convenient. Range ball cost THB1/per ball, also has club rental THB100/per set/per hour.
- ZJ Lim (10/5): Wonderful location - 50 steps from Huay Kwang MRT, 2 doors away from 7-11, 50 meters to Huay Kwang night market, 20minutes to Chatchuchak direct with MRT. Need I say more?
- Dylan (8/5): Experience & Opinion - Over all is satisfied. Location is the best, right on MRT Huai Kwang Station, Huai Kwang Road night market is right beside the hotel, very convenient to get groceries, meal, fruit, clothes and etc. Although down stair band music was loud and late every night, it did not bother me at all. WIFI signal is very weak, only can get around door area. Strongly suggest to improve it. If you need to use WIFI a lot, you'd better carry a WIFI extender plug in the room.
- mamboberg (8/5): Good location and good value for its price - The room is big enough but it's bare minimum facilities. No hair dryer and small shower space. No bathtub and the hotel has no other facilities like gym or swimming pool or bellboy service. The good thing about this hotel is the location. Beside MRT - Hway Kwang, temple and hway kwang street vendor. There's a chillout pub below as well with live band, good food and cheap beers. For it's price minus the facilities, i would say its worth it.
