• Mourad (3/5): Catastrophic - Die Lage ist gut. I paid for superior beds but did not receive any for my money. When I inquired, I was told they were all fully booked, even though I have a reservation myself and am a hotel guest. When booking, I requested a quiet room due to my sleep issues, but I was given the loudest room right next to the hotel restaurant, where furniture was being moved noisily and loud music was played until 2 a.m. The walls are thin and poorly soundproofed, and at night people stand outside the hotel talking loudly. The breakfast is not good at all, and the elevator makes an extreme amount of noise. Despite complaining at the reception, nothing was done, and I had to move to another hotel. Never again this hotel!

• Galyana (7/5): - Хотелът е разположен на много добра локация, в близост до забележителности, има паркинг на близо. Персоналът е много усмихнат и добър, помагаха ни с всичко при нужда. Преди няколко години отново сме отсядали в този хотел и качеството беше друго. Закуската е много оскъдна, никакъв колбас (месо) нямаше. Нямаше вода, сок, кафемашината не работеше. Бяхме с бебе и бяхме настанени в апартамент, който се намира в мазето, съответно постоянно имаше влага, всичко от отвън се чуваше както и персонала от долу. Климатика не работеше, парното се включваше и изключваше постоянно. За паркинга ми бяха казали, че е 15€/ден. когато отидохме 20€/ ден. Тоалетните принадлежности, които бяха в банята (шампоан, душ гел) бяха пълни с вода, евентуално оставяха по един, който не е разреден.

• Jessica (1/5): DOUBLE CHARGED for my stay, then REFUSED to refund me - The location was central to the sites. I was extremely disappointed with my stay, mainly due to billing issues and inconsistent service. 1. Double Charge Issue I was charged twice for my stay, even though my Booking.com reservation clearly stated that I would pay at the property. The hotel charged my card days before checkout without informing me, and then charged me again at checkout. When I contacted them afterward to request a refund, they did not resolve the issue despite multiple follow-ups over five days. I ultimately had to dispute the charge through my credit card company. This was very frustrating and left me feeling misled. 2. Service Concerns Breakfast service was inconsistent. One staff member was noticeably unfriendly toward me, although she seemed pleasant with others, which made me uncomfortable. Several mornings, the hot water tasted strongly of coffee. 3. Noise and Room Assignment I was first placed in a room on the 4th floor directly under the restaurant. Noise continued until around 10pm every night, and the soundproofing was poor, making it difficult to sleep. After raising the issue, I was eventually moved to a quieter room. 4. Cleanliness Issues Housekeeping often missed basic tasks like restocking bottled water. I also noticed bugs on the walls in my room, which was disappointing for the price point. Overall: I had originally planned not to write a review, but the unresolved double charge and lack of communication afterward were concerning enough that I felt other travelers should be aware.

• Vanda Rebeka (7/5): - A szállás nagyszerű helyen van, közel az Agia Sofia-hoz. Az alkalmazottak kedvesek, segítőkészek voltak mindig. A szoba kicsi volt, de a célnak (az egész napos mászkálás utáni pihenésre) megfelelt. A hotel nem a legújabb darab, itt-ott kopott, de tisztának tűnt. A reggeli. Sajnos a reggeli egyetlen értékelhető része a kilátás volt a reggeliző-helyiségből. Az első kísérletet követően inkább más étkezési lehetőség után néztünk és mégsem vettük igénybe ezt a szolgáltatást. (Szemben a hotellal van egy szuper reggeliző!) Kevés a wc papír, de a portán kértünk, s adtak.
• Mohammad (9/5): Very well communicated by the hotel on what’s app I left then myuk number and they responded fast allowed early check in - Very well located to blue mosque and Hagia Sofia a 5 min walk to both they are opposite each other 10-15 min walk to the old bazar I walked with the kids and it was a nice walk with shops all the way up the road plenty to eat on that stretch of rd. As a Muslim it was easy to access the mosques at any prayer time non Muslims avoid prayer time although it’s only a 15 min wait unless Friday prayers. The front 4 ro s of the mosque carpet is heated in winter months made it a lovely experience. Istanbul is expensive for almost everything now from food to shopping so expect to pay more than usual. • Holley (5/5): An uncomfortable stay in a convenient location - Location was good The hotel and its rooms were dated, and the beds are uncomfortable. The staff were generally polite but smoking in and around the property, and this was unpleasant and made the communal areas and bedrooms smell of smoke. The breakfast was not appetising, with limited fresh choices. We also did not appreciate or enjoy the constant hassling by the hotels roof top restaurants tout as we came and left the hotel, sometimes making these interactions uncomfortable and a good reason to not choose the hotel or restaurant!

Además, hay muchos restaurantes alrededor que merecen la pena. Una de las cosas que menos me gustaron fue el desayuno ofrecido por el hotel. En primer lugar, había poca variedad en comparación con otros lugares de la zona y era muy poco continental, teniendo en cuenta que somos extranjeros y la mayoría venimos de Europa estaría bien adaptarlo. Además, para mi gusto las camas no eran diel todo cómodas y, aunque si es cierto que todos los días cambian sábanas y toallas, el polvo sí que se puede ver que está acumulado.

• Mehrnazuk1 (8/5): Great location, would stay again. - We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is definitely the highlight — right in the centre and within short walking distance of Sultanahmet Tram station (though be prepared for some slight steep streets). It’s also only about 5 minutes from the Havaist airport bus stop, which made arrival and departure very convenient. The hotel itself is small but adequate. I’m not convinced it matches a 4-star standard, but it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The rooftop terrace was lovely. Most of the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. However, one young lady working at breakfast consistently came across cold and disengaged, and unfriendly, which stood out against otherwise warm service. Overall, I would stay here again mainly for the great location, convenience to transport and the generally friendly team, plus that charming terrace. Improvement ideas, the fridge in the room was very dirty and smelly and should be replaced. Taking the key card out should not stop the fridge working. Ensure all lighting and telephone should be checked and in working order before guest arrival or fixed when reported.
• 443athenav (2/5): Not a pleasant stay - I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. The room was extremely small and looked nothing like the photos advertised online. Parts of the ceiling plaster had fallen down, and the shower head had almost no water pressure when switched to hot water. I was placed on the fourth floor and, unfortunately, directly above me was the restaurant. In the mornings it served breakfast, and in the evenings it turned into a cocktail bar. The noise was unbearable — chairs and tables constantly being dragged around and overall no sense of sound control. It was impossible to relax or sleep properly. The only positive aspects were the location, which was conveniently close to major attractions, and the breakfast buffet, which was decent but lacked variety. Overall, I would not stay here again and cannot recommend it.

The staff was friendly and always ready to help with advice and bookings. The room was clean, simple, and comfortable, and I appreciated the free Wi-Fi and daily housekeeping. For the price, especially considering the central location, Mevlana Hotel was great value — ideal for a city-break in Istanbul when you want to be close to the action but not break the bank.

• Csaba (5/5): - A személyzet többnyire kedves volt, a reggelinél nem mindig. Superior szobánk volt, ehhez képest, egy nagyon apró szobát kaptunk. Két külön ággyal kértük a szobát, nem így kaptuk. Superior szobához képest a plafon be volt ázva, tele volt penésszel a szoba, az ágyhuzatokon látszódott hogy régek nagyon.

• Tiscar (5/5): - Las camas eran comodas y el desayuno estaba rico y tenia vistas muy bonitas Eramos 4 y siempre ponia 3 toallas, 3 geles, 3 champus, 3 aguas y asi durante toda la semana y habiendoles avisado. Nos toco en una habitación que estaba en la planta -1 y las ventanas daban a la calle y se oia mucho ruido. No estaba sucio del todo. Lo que mas nos molestó fue que reservamos con el hotel un transfer del aeropuerto al hotel y cuando llegamos al aeropuerto nos dicen que no habia nada reservado a nuestro nombre, nos hicieron esperar una hora a ver si respondia el hotel y no habia señal de el y al final tuvimos que cogernos un uber.

Calme Restaurant avec vue sur la mosquée ou le bosphore , cependant la terrasse est couverte et dépend du restaurant . Il y a juste un petit canapé en plein air. J'ai eu l'impression qu'il fallait consommer au restaurant /bar pour accéder à cette terrasse couverte avec vue. Ce point à vérifier auprès de l'hotel. Bon petit déjeuner local. Bouilloire et frigo à disposition ainsi qu'une safety box. Chambre petite pour deux personnes
• 542lewish (6/5): Great location and character, but there are many better hotels in Istanbul - I stayed at this property for 5 nights recently and really liked how authentic and "local" it felt. It couldn't be in a better location (within 10 minutes stroll from the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque). The room itself was compact but relatively well equipped, enough for a solo traveller. Breakfast, although free as part of the room rate, isn't worth having. Really poor selection and staff were slow to top up. Found staff to be a bit surly too, not rude but not particularly hospitable either. I stayed on the 4th floor and it was extremely noisy. Next to no soundproofing, and being directly below the restaurant meant you heard everything until 2-3am most nights. Bring earplugs if you're in a 4th floor room! Overall, it's a disappointing hotel. A shame as there is so much potential, and it is a locally owned property. I only gave it 3 stars for the location. If they improve their breakfast offerings, soundproof their rooms and are warmer/friendlier to paying guests; the sky is the limit. For now, I'd recommend anyone coming to Istanbul and wanting to stay in Sultanhamet to look elsewhere.

Помогли распечатать посадочные билеты. Завтрак нормальный. Можно кормить чаек Номер к 14.00 был не готов . Хотя мы утром после самолета оставляли вещи и говорили придем к моменту заселения. При нас застилали кровати и убирались. Очень маленький шкаф. Рекомендации : надо произвести тщательную уборку номера

• Gentian (9/5): Fantastic service, good breakfast & lovely friendly people. - The service was amazing and the manager could not do enough for us, Thankyou Serdar. The breakfast was delicious & had a good variety of food. The location was very close to everything & convenient for public transport. Price was very reasonable. Room was a bit small but good for the price. The hotel needs new pillows, they were hard & lumpy!

• Toffees_Mum (2/5): Disappointed - This hotel only has ONE good feature.... location. Other than that, I cannot recommend. Staff are miserable especially in the breakfast room. We had to constantly ask for things such as bread, tea machine, extra food. The 'hot' food in the metal box was cold and looked unappetising. When we checked in, we were offered a room with inadequate air-conditioning. It was ridiculously hot. The rusty fridge didn't work either nor did the safe. It was a disaster. After some negotiation we were finally offered another room. There was no view from the window just a brick wall so we kept the curtains closed. It was so small, literally just space to get into bed but at least the air-conditioning worked. This hotel is barely a 2 star in my personal opinion but the location is very good for the Blue Mosque area. Be warned though, due to the countries economic climate, you WILL be constantly hassled by restaurant and bar staff. As a regular visitor to Turkey, I've seen it getting worse.

• Stefania (6/5): Struttura con ottima posizione a buon prezzo - La posizione a 5 min a piedi dai principali siti di interesse, la disponibilità dello staff. La terrazza ha la vista sulla moschea blu. La colazione non prevedeva dolci, la terrazza la mattina ha le finestre aperte che permette a piccioni / gabbiani di entrare mentre si mangia. L'acqua a colazione è a pagamento.

Their hospitality truly made me feel at home, and their warm smiles and professional service added so much to the overall experience. The location is perfect – right in the heart of the old city, just a short walk from iconic landmarks like the Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace. It’s the ideal spot for anyone who wants to explore the rich history and culture of Istanbul without needing transportation. The hotel itself was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with a charming atmosphere that reflects the spirit of the city. Whether you're visiting for a few nights or an extended stay, I highly recommend this hotel. 10/10 – I will definitely be coming back! Thank you to everyone at Mevlana Hotel for making my stay so special.
• Debarati (9/5): Superb - Located in the heart of the touristic district of Sultanahmet with many top monuments within walking distance, the hotel offers nice facilities for a comfortable stay. The delicious breakfast on the terrace restaurant has a marvellous view, both towards the sea and the blue mosque. Safe and homely, highly recommended for solo female travellers like me. I look forward to visit again next time.

• Nidia (6/5): Unfortunately the Hotel now is kind of « médiocre ». It needs maintenance! - The best is the staff; they all are very kind and willing to help you We were 4 people in a 4 people/family room but we just had three towels and ONLy ONE toilet paper!!!!. We had to ask every day for at least one more toilet paper and towel!. Another issue is the breakfast. It was very simple, non juice , not really fresh - good bread and the coffee machine didn’t work!!!. They never fixed it or buy a new one! . The mixed eggs were always cold!!!!!

• Tanwir (10/5): Fabulous with great food options around till late night. - It is in a prime location - walking distance 5 min to Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia. The staff are very welcoming and Sardar gives us all info and allowed us to check in early before our checkin time- very flexible and négociable. There is roof top restaurant with awesome view for Blue mosque. None

• Denis (10/5): Friendly and professional staff, clan room with heater (yes we had freezings days:) breakfasts were on terrace with spec - Great touristic location, close to all major attractions! Because of touristic location all nearby cafes and restaurants has quite high prices.

• Gyuzel (9/5): Superb - Location, everyday cleaning, breakfast, view Smoke smell. Hot food is not heated, so it becomes cold very fast. Nesquik is fake.
• Nik (3/5): Nice room but avoid the restaurant. - Nice location, decent room, friendly receptionist. Restaurant is run by a bunch of kids who don't even speak english. Food was cold, broken cofee machine, saw staff coughing over open coffee mugs etc.
• Chris (7/5): Mevlana Hotel was quite comfortable and well located. - The hotel is nicely situated and quite close to Sultanahmet Square. There are lots of restaurants and shops in the immediate area. The hotel is typical of small hotels in the area. When we arrived in Istanbul, our pre-arranged transport through the hotel from the airport hadn't been booked. There are two hotels named Mevlana (this one is "Mevlana Hotel" and the other is "Hotel Mevlana Bazaar") within 300 metres of each other on the same road. We were delivered to the wrong hotel on arrival from the airport which caused some confusion.

• Mohammed (8/5): Nice hotel, basic with good clean facilties and fantastic location to old town. - Friendly reception staff, especially Farad and Denis. Kitchen/breakfast offering was very basic. Seemed the single staff member cooking needed to be told when youngsters ran out, and she always seemed to have a face on her (maybe it's the early mornings??). Seems allergic to a smile.

High quality/price ratio. The room smelled a bit stale and the cleanliness needs to be improved.

• Daisy (8/5): A lovely hotel with kind staff - The staff were really friendly and helpful and the rooms were pleasant and clean. The location was ideal as there was no street noise but it was around a five minute walk from Sultanahmet Square. We could hear people in the stairway, however this did not disrupt our sleep. There was no water or other cold beverages at the breakfast, only hot drinks, could have really done with a water or fruit juice in the heat
• Jahde (4/5): Disappointed - The staff was really nice to us and the location in the heart of the city was amazing. The room didn’t match the photos we saw (e.g. there was less pillows, little breakfast buffet etc), we asked for 2 extra pillows and the blankets that were missing and we got only 1 pillow, and both pillows and mattress were hard, we had trouble to sleep and I ended up with a back/neck pain. From the floor we were we could hear everything from the corridor and from the restaurant upstairs. There was mold in the minibar. Floor unclean. Shower didn’t work properly and the water was either too hot or too cold. Breakfast was way inferior than what we saw on the ad photos, less food and less options. I had food poisoning during the stay so we asked for a later checkout (and we also hadn’t slept for 3 nights because of noise and the hardness of pillows and mattress) but when it was normal checkout time they knocked on the door to ask us out. Really disappointed.
