• Andre (8/5): Beautiful view with great service - Service was friendly and very nice! View was amazing, bed was pretty hard, room was pretty small along with the shower. But was worth it for the view. Can be noisey if going to be earlier in the evening.

• Rechen (10/5): - The view of the Duomo can’t be beat. It was the main reason we booked this stay. And it has a lift!! Take note the lift can only hold one person at a time (w luggage) and two if without luggages but all of that is great as opposed to lugging your stuff to the third floor lol. It was the prime spot for dining and shopping. The SMN station is also walkable from this spot. As it is in the piazza, it can get loud at night (everyone is on vacation, so that’s understandable) you can just close the windows. We were warmly greeted by the hosts and given clear instructions on elevator, breakfast, etc. It was the perfect stay for our holiday.

Just FYI, You have to carry your luggage up the stairs to the first floor to reach the elevator so pack light or not, up to you! It’s a very nice location close to everything! Staff were also amazing!

Can get a little noisy at night with windows open, but if you close them you can't hear anything. Breakfast is simple and delivered to your room: coffee, juice, croissant, rusks and jam. Have stayed before and will stay again!

• Verified traveler (8/5): Location location location - This B&B will not be for everyone but for us it was great. The location simply couldn't be better. The staff were also lovely. For the room we had the we had to go outside the room to go to the bathroom, only we had the key for this. The staff were there in morning and they served breakfast in your room as the time you specify. The breakfast itself is simply but tasty. Although the coffee wasn't great, a disappointment when one is visiting Italy). From our room we had an incredible view of the Duomo. Bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked very well. If you are looking for a place to facilitate visit central Florence and understand that this is an old building consider it.

If you like the bustle of the city this is the place for you -- but not if you want peace and quiet. It is secure and safe too. The b&b is a bit tired, definitely only 3*. Good for a short stay of 1-2 nights, but I found the city noise (my room faced the piazza) too much after that. Overall it was fine.

• Jeremy (10/5): Great stay! - I cannot recommend this place enough! It is a short walk from the train station, so easy to get to. A light breakfast every morning (you fill out a piece of paper each night in the lobby and they prepare it for you at the time you request) , but the hotel is located steps from the Duomo, and only a few blocks in any direction to every other attraction. We got lucky and had one of the rooms that overlooked the square w the Duomo in it. The hotel is the entire floor of a building. This one is on the 4th floor I think. The building does have an elevator, but you have to climb 1 flight of stairs before you get to the elevator. Another great thing about here, is that they give you a code for the door to the building, as well as a code to enter the hotel on the floor. So, you don’t have to use a key until your actual room door inside the hotel. We would absolutely stay here again.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Great deal for price and location! - This is located in the same square as the Duomo! Location is fabulous if you want to walk everywhere. My room had view of the square which was pretty fascinating. The staff was very friendly and delivered warmed crossinants, toasts with jam, juice and choice of coffees every morning. If you’re a light sleeper, I would suggest requesting a room without a view of the Duomo as it could be very noisy at night bc of the echoing square. Otherwise noise wasn’t an issue. Great deal and stay!

My wife and I LOVED our stay here and the croissants they gave us with breakfast were the BEST that we've had so far on our world trip (we're currently 4 months and 25 countries into our trip, so that's saying something). The staff were very friendly and the room was cozy. They are also working on renovating the place, so I'm sure it's just going to keep getting better :) BTW: we just had backpacks so taking the 2-person lift up 3 floors was no problem. And taking the stairs down is easy too. We would definitely stay here again.

• Laura (10/5): Magical views of the Santa Maria del Fiore - We stayed 3 nights at the Duomo View and had the most magical stay. This B&B is central and only a short walk to all of the major attractions. The B&B is a short walk from the Santa Maria Novella railway station with an easy reference point being the major cathedral. We were running behind schedule on check in so phoned and spoke to Alessio who gave us specific instructions on how to reach the reception. We stayed in the Superior Room, 1 Double Bed, City View which looks out over the Baptistery and Piazza del Duomo. The room also has views of the Campanile and facade of the Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral. You can even see the Duomo from the room! The armchair in the room was perfect for sitting in while gazing up at the Campanile. The room has a desk, small table and 2 chairs and a large wardrobe. There is cooling and heating in the room. Breakfast each morning was prompt and large, consisting of croissants, rusks, spreads, juice and hot beverages. Antonella, Lorenzo and Alessio are all very polite, helpful and speak excellent English such that it was easy to communicate. Even when I left some items in the room after check out, they went out of their way to have them posted to me in Rome, providing instructions on how to arrange this through DHL. I recommend this room to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the culture of Florence.

• Mariel (6/5): No frills but perfect location! - For the price, it was great. Right there central to the Duomo. We were expected to have a view of the square, but were put in a room with a courtyard. Still beautiful view, just not what I was expecting. No real frills place. Bed was about a 2/5 comfort wise, but we were so tired from travel that it didn't matter. Shower and bathroom is very small (typical for the area) but they provided soaps and a blow dryer. Fair warning, there are a LOT of steps to get to the room. They have a small elevator, but it's for luggage. So don't expect to put grandma and her wheelchair in there.

There are 100 floors that you must get your luggage up and there is no space for you to open the luggage. In the city the map is 2.5 euro but they sold 5 euro... Plus i paid for the view but there was no view and they said easily that there is no room available with the view !!!

Room 8 by 10 , bathroom shared with 4 other rooms was dangerous as had an electric standard light in as the main was not working was a joke . As I asked for a room with onsuit I was not happy and would not book again. Makes for a good dinner party joke .

• Wilhelm (2/5): Never again, please stay some place else! - They are horrible! so was the accommodation, booked a triple room for 2 adults and one 16 year old, only gave us two old bad towels and two very old wash rugs for 3 people, the toilet kept getting stuck and could not flush. when I called them to ask for help with the toilet he did not seem very happy about it and I when I asked for clean towels on the second day he told me "NO" I had only paid for 2 adults and ! minor that we were only allowed 2 towels!! he went on to say that is the way is done every where I DON"T THINK SO! I travel all over the world and that has ever happened to me before and even if that is the way they do it there, it is disgusting! it would cost him nothing to let us use one more towel, he was very rude and sarcasting! PLEASE DO NOT STAY THERE, the location is great but it is not worth it, the place is not cleaned good and the service is non existing! this was the absolute worse part of my trip. They don't care the thousands of dollars we spend to have a nice enjoyable vacation, it is so much easier to be nice, what is wrong with them? two towels for 3 people for 2 nights? give me a break, you wash it and use it again, it does not cost you anything, plus we did not even have breakfast there we were out early both days, they saved money on that! thank God the next place is stayed in Rome was amazing, super clean three sets of towels floor mat, bath towel, hand towel and wish cloth for each of us and they were clean and nice people!!!
• Javid (4/5): building is under construction and covered with ad - There is currently construction going on with the exterior of the building facing the dome and the building is fully covered with advertisement on it and you cannot see outside. I asked when did they start and when will they be finished and why didn't you send me an email or notify hotels.com and all I received was just "Sorry". Breakfast starts @ 8:30 - everyone is/wants gone by 8. So that is really annoying. The bathroom never got serviced for the entire 3 days that we were there. No sign of coffee maker. I only received two single tea bags and that was it. Stayed May 26-29, 2016 if you can ignore all these then this place is for you...
• Tara (6/5): Very good location. Close to everything. - The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. They spoke English very well. The room was large with high ceilings, the bathroom was very large including a bidet and heated towel rack. Only drawback was the shower was so small I had a hard time showering and I am a small woman. I could not imagine how a large person or a man would shower in such a small space. Breakfast was served daily in our room. Fresh baked warm croissants yum!!! I would stay there again.

• Maria (6/5): Great location...okay accommodation. - The B&B was in the best location. Right in the main square and very easy to access from the train station and anywhere else you may want to go. It was not very easy to find, as it is a shared building with other apartments/offices and there is scaffolding right outside the building too. The original room we were placed in left more to be desired (small room, small shared bathroom, door which was difficult to lock, bed cover which didn't look the cleanest..) but then after we dropped off our things, went out on the town for a couple of hours, we came back and were asked to change rooms due to an issue with the shared bathroom. The room we changed to had a private washroom, couch, was much bigger and seemed cleaner. We were VERY happy with the change and I recommend spending money to get this room. We stayed for 2 nights and had a great time. The location is fantastic although loud at night, so we had the window closed...so be aware if you are a very light sleeper. The breakfast was brought to our room at a time that we designated and was pretty good. Hot coffee, warm croissants, juice and some other goodies. The staff was also very nice.
• Ferrel (4/5): No Sleep!! - Great location, service was not memorable. Breakfast was poor. Croissants were reheated to the point that they were almost burnt. No fruit or anything, just almost burnt croissants and bad coffee. My tea was tea. My wife is a coffee drinker and I love the smell of a good cup of coffee. The coffee smelt horrible and tasted just as bad. Could have overlooked all of that if not for the worse bed that I can remember sleeping on. Actually, trying to sleep on. I never even got a bad nights sleep!! And My Wife agreed. A bed can make or break a hotel for me. I like to sleep when I go to bed. I will not return for any price.
• Chelsea K (6/5): Great location, poor facilities... - We paid for the cheapest room option, the one with the shared bathroom, and it was barely acceptable. A tiny room with minimal furnishings. The shared bathroom is disgusting, moldy, and the shower floods the whole floor when in use. Thankfully we were upgraded to the bigger and better room for the last two of our three nights due to the fact that the B&B was empty when we travelled off season in mid January. The bigger room has a much nicer bathroom but overall, there are huge cleanliness issues in the entire B&B. The bedspread and throw pillows in both rooms were all visibly grey and stained and walking from the bed to the sink in the room will cause your feet to be filthy & black. The rooms appear as they do in the pictures but a closer look at any aspect of the B&B will reveal a variety of problems. The beds and pillows were incredibly uncomfortable (old springs) but the white sheets seemed clean. Breakfast in bed was nice however beware, THERE IS NO CURRENT VIEW OF THE DUOMO! The entire building front is covered by construction scaffolding that you can't see through that well and can definitely NOT take pictures from your window. We liked the location but as warned, the square is noisy at night and with the morning bells. Cheap nightly rate for the room in the middle of everything is worth it but don't expect much from the B&B otherwise.
• Brooke (8/5): Truly the Duomo view. - As a Bed and Breakfast it is run very well. You are provided with detailed information on how to enter the building for the first time, and what to do when arriving after hours. The breakfast is delivered to your room each morning, with warm croissants and fresh coffee or tea. It was a large and filling breakfast that got us through most of the day. It has the best view, it really is the Duomo View B&B, and it was beautiful to wake up to each morning. The location is perfect for walking and exploring everything in Florence, and only ten minutes from Firenze SMN station. The only negative at all was that the beds need to be replaced, it felt like sleeping on grandma's spare mattress. Can't beat the value and experience.

• Jeff (8/5): - Filip was very friendly and we enjoyed the knock on the door with hot breakfast in the morning. Being literally 20 steps from Il Duomo is the best location you can get (even with the occasional bells). We would stay there again.
• Barbara (2/5): It is a farce not B&B DO NOT STAY HERE - This is not a b&b it was a nightmare. I think it was a group of offices turned into rooms. I was left keys because I arrived around 7pm. Said it had elevator but didn't say you have to go up flight and a half to get to it. Very dangerous leaving elevator with luggage to stairs about 6 inches of room then drop to stairs. No numbers on rooms had to try key in each door thank goodness there was no one in them. Bathroom stank walls were filthy black mold in shower. Boxes of junk in hallways. Have pix if anyone interested. Booked 2 nights stayed 1 night to tired to look for something else. Happy to give up price of second night just to get out of there. Think it is illegal operation never asked for ID and did not collect room tax.Only thing that was correct is it had a Duomo view because it is right in the piazza which was very loud late into night the window did not close properly.DO NOT stay here what a farce calling itself a b&b. I travel a lot and easy to please but this is the worst I have ever seen.

The square remains quite noisy until late, so if you are sensitive to that, this might not be the place for you. We stayed in a twin room which was tiny, with very little space to move or store luggage. The walls needed a wash and repainting. Having said that, the guy at reception was professional and helpful and tried his best to help us when needed.

A very irate latish arriving person (it turned out to be a woman) was banging on the front door ready to break it down.This carried in for about !0 minutes and as we happend to be the only 2 people in the place at the time we found this quite frightening.The phone number we were given to ring by the proprietor was answered by someone only speaking italian. Because of the language barrier she hung up on us.

The building is older and tiny, but the location made up for the size. Breakfast was delicious and brought to our room. The street was busy, but we were directly next to the duomo so it was expected.

• Lauretta (8/5): Firenze Duomo View YES! - Excellent property, however I booked the economy room which was EXTREMELY tight/small for even 1 person and bedspreads need to beat tossed. You lierally have to sit on the bed with feet drawn in so ghe 2 d persom can pass. The shared bath needs some TLC (grout cleaning, and tightening of the toilet seat). I got to see the deluxe and superior rooms which were PERFECT. Those baths are private; the decor nice, the rooms spacious. The location of this property is outstanding. The breakfast is brought to your room and was really good. The staff was excellent as well. I would definitely recommend it but not the economy room. 26 step walk up to the lift. But literally yards from EVERYTHING and 4 blocks from the main train station - cab expense obliterated!
• Verified traveler (10/5): Great location, comfortable enough - It is located in the very center of the city towards the Duomo, walking-distance to everywhere. The room was clean, wide, comfort enough, and pretty nice with the painting on the ceiling. They served the breakfast to the room, and it was okey (croissant, butter, jam, tea/coffee). It is definitely a good deal.
• London, Ontario (10/5): Perfect location - charming hotel. - This B&B is great - it far exceeded our expectations. The location could not be better - open the window and there is the Duomo. But, with the window closed, you can hear virtually no noise. It was perfect. The décor was lovely - contemporary touches with old world flair. Breakfast was superb - delivered precisely at the time requested - and great coffee. The owner was so friendly and welcoming, we could not have asked for a better place, we loved it. Superb.
• Felix (8/5): Amazing location but bathroom NEED to be fix. - I'll get to the point quickly. Location and pricing is amazing. You are literally staying at piazza sante maria del fiore. The only issue with this place is the shared bathroom. Please fully clean it, repaint and fix the shower door. Room could use some painting too. The staff is extremely nice.
• Viri (6/5): Perfect location but needs a lot of renovation - Stayed here for three nights, perfect location but restroom was falling apart. If you what to save money and stay in a good location this is the perfect place. You are literally in front of the Duomo which is amazing.
• Ethan (8/5): Clean and comfortable and great location - Lactation was perfect as really close to everything, staff friendly and welcoming bringing breakfast every morning which was always very nice and well presented. The room was a good size and clean with air conditioning TV and kettle; bed was comfortable although outside the hotel gets loud at night and you can hear the bells from the duomo so not suitable for light sleepers. Bathroom was clean and spacious although shower door was broken and so a minor repair needed there other than that a great week in Florence and would recommend this hotel to other young travelers looking for a practical place to touch base.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was in room and decent. The location was amazingly fantastic. But the hotel room was not very clean and the shared bathroom was a disaster including a disgusting shower and a toilet seat that was broken in half (literally). Sheets were clean tho and we stayed due to its location right at the Duomo.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Fantastic B&B - This is a fantastic B&B. Both owners speak perfect English, and were very helpful with directions and restaurant recommendations. At check-in, we were given a map and shown all of the local attractions. Our room and bathroom were spacious. The included breakfast is okay. The location can't be beat - right at the Duomo and within walking distance to other major attractions. The free WiFi is slow.
• LM (2/5): Do not recommend - Noisy, no TV in room, Wifi did not work. Shower very small, bathroom not in the room. We had to call the manager to check us in.
• Jona (8/5): Great location - Nice little B&B Boutique style hotel with a charm from the owners or managers who were always ready to help. Service and rooms were excellent and so was the location. Could not be better and was an excellent value for the price we paid. The "private" bathroom upgrade was ok but needs some renovations. The room itself was excellent.
• Elizabeth (6/5): Amazing location! - Amazing location, right in the Duomo plaza. We were easily within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to visit in Florence. Room was perfectly fine for us 2 traveling girlfriends, a little bit old but pretty clean. Breakfast was delivered to our room with croissants, fruit, and plenty of coffee by friendly staff members. Would stay here again simply for the location!!
• Lawrence (6/5): Great location - Very close to Duomo, very convenient. On the downside, noisy at night due to crowds late into the evening. Breakfast service excellent. On the 4th floor (3 in European designation) with a very small elevator (only fits 2 adults without luggage).
• Verified traveler (8/5): Great locale but could use some tweaking. - The location could not be better as it is on the duomo square. Even though it is a very busy area there is little street noise in the room, except for the bells from the church which I suspect are heard in almost any hotel in the city. The check-in was easy and the in-room breakfast was nice. The room was a bit cozy but large enough for our three nights. Tight shower but. Good water pressure. Cons: WiFi is essentially useless for anything other than quick checks for messages. (At least in our room, room 3) the lock to get into room 3 was challenging, at least for me and our neighbor who also tried it. Note: There are 90 steps from the ground to the hotel floor. There is an elevator that can hold two people or one person and luggage, but there are still 25 steps to get up to the elevator. It was not a problem for us as we used the steps to train for the climb to the church dome, but persons with mobility issues should be aware.

• Claire (8/5): Great location - First room was very small with shared bathroom. Owners are very nice knowledgable about tours and accommodating when there. But they're only there in the am. We stayed a couple extra days so had to move to another room larger with a bathroom for same price. Neighborhood is awesome short walk to almost everything except monetary then you take bus.

• Conor (8/5): 2 night in Florence - I stayed in this B&B with my girlfriend for 2 nights. She had been to Florence before and knew the city and we wanted somewhere central and it does not get any more central than this! We booked the superior double room which overlooks Duomo square and the front of the breathtaking Duomo Cathedral. The view in the morning when you opened the windows and could see Duomo was worth the money alone. There are a number of good restaurants around and you are within a 5 minute walk to Piazza Vechio where the Uffizi Gallery is along with the replica of Michelangelo's David and then the Ponte Vechio bridge is again just a 2-3 minute walk from there. The staff were lovely, a light breakfast was served in the room every morning which was a nice touch and the private bathroom, although outside the room itself was nice to have. This place is fantastic if you are looking to be out exploring the city during the day and coming home at night to a comfortable room in a convenient location! Would definitely stay again.

• Lyn (10/5): Great B&B in Firenze - Our stay at Duomo View B&B was amazing from the beginning. They contacted us early about preferences and arrival time and provided a clear map from the station. Philip and Ludivicco were welcoming hosts and provided great recommendations for sightseeing & restaurants...and then there was the location and view!!! Emailing a photo made all our friends jealous! The room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast, delivered to our room, was fresh baked "caffe brioche", juice, fresh fruit, toast and coffee - not our usual fare, but yum - I'm missing the croissants. We really enjoyed our time in Firenze and it was made even better by staying at Duomo View B&B. I'll definitely return.

It is very convenient to the train station and within easy walking distance to all must-see sights. We loved that our room looked out onto the Piazza del Duomo! • Josh Cameron (2/5): Awful Service but good location - I wouldn't recommend this property to anyone. The bathroom that we had was filled with black mold and extremely dirty and small. The room itself is ok and the location is great but Philip was unwilling to work with us considering the cleanliness of the bathroom and was very unpleasant. I have extensively traveled and he was one of the worst hoteliers I've ever dealt with.
• Clark (8/5): Location and Feel Like a Local - You can't get much better than this location when staying in Florence. The building and rooms are older and small as most European rooms are, but we definitely felt like locals. The shared bathroom was tiny and I felt like a basketball player in the shower but access was never a problem. The Duomo View is very convenient to all the museums, shops, restaurants, gellaterias, and most importantly the train station. The owners are very pleasant and accommodating and provide a delightful breakfast to your room according to your morning schedule. We enjoyed our stay and recommend the Duomo View if you are all about location and blending in.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Not bad as a b&b - We only stay in Florence for a night . This is the best choice for us as the location is absolutely excellent. Easy to find. We are giving the room that hv a view with the duomo. It was beautiful. Just the room isn't spacious enough n the toilet wasn't clean enough. If it is just for convenienct, then it's not a bad choice.
• Peter (8/5): Right infront of the Duomo! - We were welcomed with open arms when we entered our location. Very safe and close to all major landmarks! The room was a little small. But ask for the one facing the Duomo itself, it looked the biggest!
• Tanya (10/5): Amazing!!! - This was our favorite hotel in our 2 weeks throughout Italy. The staff were wonderful and helpful and so pleasant. Breakfast was delivered to our room every single morning at whatever time you designated, and there was tons of coffee, juice, pastries, fresh fruit, biscuits, jam, etc. More than we could even eat. We left early to catch a train on our final morning and our host even came in early and tried to rush to make us breakfast before we left, but we were in quite a hurry. He was so disappointed but he hugged us goodbye and we were on our way. The units are 4 floors up and some have a view of the duomo, ours did not and was a bit small, but we did not spend much time there, because as soon as you walk out the door you are greeted with the most breathtaking view of the duomo and baptistry and wonderful restaurants and shops. Our host gave us a map and pointed out all the fun things we might want to do, and we explored every inch of the city and it was always easy to get back to. Would definitely stay again.
• ET (8/5): Great B&B, great location. - We received an update immediately w/a private bath. The room was comfortable, airy and fairly quiet. The air conditioning was very quiet. Best location. May not be appropriate for people who need someone at the office 24hrs. However, the owners were available and on call all the time. It was like having your own appartment. We recommend this hotel.
• Andrew (8/5): Location Location Location - Duomo View B&B is a mixed bag. The view and location are absolutely bananas. The inn keepers are wonderful. They're helpful and accommodating to the extreme. The breakfast in bed every morning is a lovely touch. However, the accommodations themselves leave a little to be desired. My room was quite small and the shared bath was as well. The shower is VERY small. So small in fact, I would suggest that if you're any larger than me (I'm six feet tall and built like a rugby player), you might very well have trouble using it. I might add that with views of the Duomo and public square comes noise, particularly at night. I live in New York, so that's okay with me, but if you're not accustomed to it, you'll need ear plugs. All in all though, it's a lovely place and I'm very glad I chose it for my first time to Florence.
• Saima (10/5): Centrally Located - The cathedral is within doorstep reach, the hotel is perfectly & centrally located, with a great variety of restaurants within reach, to many to choose from. The shopping district is opposite the hotel within a seconds walking distance, you have a street of designer stores followed by the next street with high street brands, something to cater for everyone The standard of this B&B is much better then some of the hotels I have stayed in & I will defiantly be returning to stay here, I loved the ensuite room.
• Connie (10/5): Best location in Florence - This bed and breakfast was an absolute delight. You can see the duomo from your room. The very gracious host made this a real find.
• Will (10/5): Great friendly hotel in great location. - If you want to stay in a room overlooking the Duomo then this is the hotel for you. It is a fourteenth century building, but you wouldn't know it from the modern bathroom and decor. It isn't a fancy place, but it gives you a nice local feel. Great hub for trips to San Gimignano or Siena too.
• Stayed 3 Days (10/5): Good Hosts - Walking distance from train station and surprisingly quiet despite being right on the piazza of the Duomo. Fillipo and Lodovco, owners of the B&B, were very helpful. Breakfast served in our room was lovely (even though Fillipo burned the croissants every morning). It just felt so personal so we didn't mind--but Fillipo, try lowering the oven temperature, taking the croissants our sooner, raising the rack, or preheating the oven....
