Important Information
The mandatory service charge includes the following and is subject to applicable state taxes:
• Cognac Breakfast. $25 value per room. Cognac has a pre-fixed breakfast menu with 11 entree options. The menu is priced at $25 per person. Includes coffee, juice, or tea. Guests are responsible for the tax and auto 20% gratuity.
• Umbrella Usage. All guest rooms have a Hotel 48Lex umbrella to use while staying at the hotel. The guest will be charged $25 if they decide to keep the umbrella.
• Two Bottles of 48Lex water daily. Guest will receive two bottles of water on their bed stand daily. $5.00 per bottle will be charged if additional bottles are requested.
• Fitness Center Access. Includes access to Peloton bikes and Tonal workout machine.
• Shoe Shine Service. Guests would need call the desk for the service. Each room has a shoe bag to request for the service.

- Silvestre et Yamila (5/5): Décevant et peu bienveillant - L'emplacement parfait. Le bar/restaurant "Cognac" en bas très sympa et nourriture assez bonne. Belle vue quand on une chambre d'angle. Lit confortable. 150 dollars par nuit en plus pour mon petit chien dans la chambre et même pas une gamelle en inox pour lui donner à boire. C'est délirant !!!!!!! J'ai payé pour que mon fils dorme dans le sofa bad et on ne m'a donné qu'un seul drap et pas de housse de couette ???? Pas de serviette éponge pour mon fils, seulement deux pour les parents.

- Noëmie (6/5): Bonne localisation mais hôtel à raffraichir - Très bon emplacement, chambre spacieuse et lit comfortable La chambre n’était pas correctement refaite à chaque fois, on n’a du réclamer plusieurs fois du savon, des verres, des bouteilles d’eau. La chambre était vieillotte, avec une salle de bain abîmé. On n’a eu une salle de bain PMR ce qui a changé notre expérience. Les espaces communs n’était pas accueillant. Il n’y avais pas de réel lobby. Mauvaise communication avec le staff.

There was no hot water one morning but the manager compensated for it. The furniture needs an update or refresh. The breakfast policy. We never made breakfast a priority and missed it each day

The rooms are beautifully designed with a modern, clean aesthetic, and the amenities strike that perfect balance between luxury and practicality. It’s one of those places where you can tell every detail has been thought through. What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was Brady. He went above and beyond at every interaction. Professional, attentive, and incredibly accommodating, he made sure every aspect of my stay was seamless. Whether it was handling requests quickly, offering thoughtful recommendations, or just bringing a level of energy and care you rarely see, Brady completely set the tone for what hospitality should look like. It’s rare to find a hotel that nails both the physical experience and the human one. This place does both effortlessly. I’ll absolutely be back.
- NorthStar39104385822 (10/5): Lovely midtown Manhattan hotel - I was in NYC for my counsin's wedding, at a different venue, but all the out of town wedding guests were booked to stay here. It's a lovely hotel in midtown Manhattan. Located within less than 1 mile walking distance to Times Square and Central Park. The room was standard sized (for what I'm used to in Las Vegas) but I hear was quite spacious for NYC standards. They have a nice lounge on the 2nd floor and we were able to use it on checkout day to hangout after checkout time before we needed to head to JFK that evening. The front desk with hold your luggage for you for no fee on check in day and checkout day, which we used and greatly appreciated.

I loved the lounge area and overall, the staff and their customer service was top tier. I didn't like the selection of food at breakfast. Had it not been for the voucher that I added to my stay, I would have eaten out for breakfast everyday. The staff during breakfast were incredibly kind, but I felt that the breakfast titles and descriptions were elaborate but what came on the plate was something quite basic including the taste. Luckily, Ole and Steen was right in front of the hotel so if I didn't want to use my voucher I could just eat there for breakfast as well.

- Janet (7/5): - The room was in a great location. We really liked our balcony, it was the best part of the room. We didn’t book a balcony room so that upgrade was great! The kitchen area is useless. Dishwasher but no dishes. Coffee carafe but no coffee pot. Everything was half broken and could use a replacement. Bathroom was spacious but 1 washcloth for 3 people for 2 nights? Also, only 2 towels each night. There’s no lobby just a little desk for check in. We didn’t try the restaurant. They give a $25 voucher for breakfast but each breakfast is $32 plus full price for other guests. It’s not a buffet so I’m not sure what you get for $32. In summary, it’s an excellent location and the balcony was great but for the price, we’ll try somewhere else next time. Kitchen, not enough towels and overall cleanliness

- O2832UIpauld (10/5): Weekend Saved - After an initially unpleasant experience our first night (broken thermostat=unbearable hot room, bed issues), Rachel went above and beyond to make sure we had an outstanding remainder of our stay. She moved us to a different, infinitely more comfortable room and helped save my wife's birthday weekend. Cannot say enough good things about her (rest of the FD staff was also great).

Vi fortalte det til personalet og de fandt hurtigt et andet værelse til os, så heldigvis ikke et større problem. Værelser var svære at få en god temperatur på, specielt hvis døren mellem soveværelse og det andet rum var lukket.

The room and the view were very nice, and the room was very clean. However, the hot water was not very hot, especially since it was very cold outside. The central heating was quite noisy and did not provide enough warmth.

I wasted time with worry as my experience was wonderful from the minute I stepped into Hotel 48LEX. Brady at the front desk checked me in quickly and said my room was available. My room was quite spacious and very comfortable. The thermostat was set and the room was nice and warm especially since it was extremely cold outside. This hotel was convenient to where I needed to be, and was also very close to Grand Central Station, which made continuing my trip on Saturday afternoon very easy. The staff that I encountered over the weekend were quite friendly. Checkout was a breeze. I would gladly stay at Hotel 48LEX again.

- JustinB2638 (4/5): Excellent staff and beautiful rooms, but hindered by major technical issues - I have mixed feelings about my stay. On the positive side, the hotel itself is beautiful. The guest rooms are extremely nice, and the snacks and drinks offered in-room were a wonderful bonus. Furthermore, the staff is truly excellent—attentive, professional, and very responsive to every request. However, several functional issues made the stay difficult, particularly for a business trip. One of the two elevators was down, which was quite frustrating when trying to move through the hotel. We also struggled with the conference rooms; a cooling issue made them extremely hot, forcing us to keep the doors open for airflow. Because the conference area is right next to the social lounge, we had to deal with constant noise. While the staff was very helpful in asking loud guests to quiet down, the combination of the heat and the noise made it a very difficult environment for work. The biggest hurdle was the internet. While it worked better in the conference area, the Wi-Fi in the guest rooms dropped approximately every 10 minutes. Having to constantly reset the connection and re-register our room number or access code caused extreme delays in getting our work done over the weekend. While I appreciated the hospitality and the quality of the rooms, the technical and maintenance issues made it nearly impossible to have a productive stay. I would not recommend this hotel until these issues have been resolved.

Location was great for exploring, a short stroll to grand central or other subway connections. Writhing walkable distance to Times Square or 5th ave. Lots of restaurants and bakery’s close by too. Staff were friendly and helpful - available 24/7. The room was cleaned daily, with towels refreshed daily. Premium toiletries provided - a shampoo worth using! My only criticism is some of the furniture or flooring throughout the hotel looked a little worn. A few chips in woodwork ect but a minor detail compared to the great room and service

Good full breakfast for 2 ($37 with tax & tip). Complimentary wine each late afternoon in a lovely, quiet lounge. No more than a 10 minute walk to Grand Central or the 4/6/E lines.

- marcoandpaulac (10/5): Highly Recommend this Gem of A Hotel. Our Favorite NYC place to stay. - This is our (wife and I) longtime favorite hotel in NYC. The only place we've stayed in the last 10 years. We've tried so many others. But this hotel is exceptional. The Midtown location is super convenient for us. The staff is outstanding, friendly, professional, helpful, and pleasant. The restaurant is convenient and great. The rooms (we most recently had a high-floor suite) were out of this world. The perfect escape we were seeking. Recharged ourselves for the 2026 New Year ahead.

- Navigate53381842274 (8/5): Hidden charges - Spotless, beautiful rooms, accessible, and lovely staff. What lets it down is the hidden charges - for 4 days it was $400 deposit plus $250 surcharge to cover housekeeping etc. you get $25 towards breakfast per room per day which doesn’t cover the cost for 1 person in the restaurant. This was disappointing though I’m sure not unique in New York and otherwise I would be raving about this hotel.

- Diana (6/5): Small but clean - The rooms were very small. I booked the executive studio and it was tiny. It was very clean but the internet was sporadic and in one of the rooms I stayed in the HVAC was fairly noisy. Once I lowered the room temperature that seemed to improve. The entrance is only from the side and the doors are very heavy. The reception desk is open 24 hrs which is nice. Not sure why they charge a resort fee because it's not a resort at all. They give you a breakfast voucher for $25 but the breakfast costs $32 plus a tip and tax which is ridiculous. The rooms on their website are called Salons which is very confusing what someone is getting. There's no hot tub or a pool. There's no view to speak of, and as with many other hotels, the pictures on their website look significantly better. It's not a bad hotel by any means but it resembles more apartment building than a hotel proper. The room sizes, the resort fees and one of the staff members was a little rude.
- 373ezelk (2/5): I wouldn’t recommend!!! - I am sharing with you my worst experience with this hotel, unlike anything I've ever experienced anywhere else. I checked into the hotel on December 9th, 2025. An executive room had been arranged for me and paid for in advance. When I entered the hotel, it was extremely cold and looked like everything except the reception area. There wasn't even a place to sit. I got the key from the reception and went up to my room. When I entered the room, I noticed it wasn't clean. Old towels were on the floor. In the bathroom, I could see the trash left by the previous guest in the bin. It was also freezing cold. I left my belongings and went downstairs to make my first complaint to the reception. The room was dirty and the central heating wasn't working. The woman at the reception told me that she was also cold and that there was a general heating problem in the hotel. She said she would send someone to the room and fix the problem, but despite complaining at least four or five times a day, nothing changed; there was no hot water and no central heating in the room. I had to sleep fully clothed at night. I asked the hotel to arrange another room for me, but they said they didn't have any available and they couldn't refund my money, so I had to stay there. Eight of my colleagues and I stayed at this hotel. Everyone had the same experience; considering the high price, the service we received shouldn't have been like this. My colleagues will surely share their equally bad experiences with you. Absolutely do not stay at this hotel. Nothing is as it seems or as you've been told.

- 509fawnr (2/5): They cancelled our reservation and left us stranded in the middle of the night. - We arrived at Lex48 around midnight last night after a long travel day, only to be told our reservation had been “cancelled” — with no explanation of who or why it was cancelled. The front desk agent refused to give her name, refused to provide a manager’s contact, and offered zero help. She literally told us to leave and find another hotel at 1:00AM in Manhattan. We were walking the streets in the middle of the night trying to find something else. Have I mentioned that was like 28 degrees outside when she demanded that we leave because she didn’t like how upset we were????? Are you kidding me lady???? She just kept saying that she didn’t do it. There was no assistance, no apology, nothing. Just a shrug and a demand that we leave the lobby. We ended up sleeping in a conference room at my boyfriend’s office. There is no apology that could suffice at this point. I almost cannot even fathom the complete incompetence and lack of care - just total indifference. Even the other hotels we went to were shocked and horrified at what happened to us. Seriously - don’t book this place.
- leejayb (2/5): AVOID AT ALL COSTS! - DO NOT BOOK HERE!!! They are ruse and obnoxious! I was on an important Zoom meeting with my DND on the door, and two housekeepers knocked incessantly at my door. When I excused myself from my meeting and shooed the second one away, the next BANGING was security (leather jacket jerk with two mooks behind him). When I told him I'd be happy to talk, but in 20 minutes after my meeting, he steppes his foot into MY room and wouldn't let me close the door. Meanwhile, the moat important Zoom of my career, the M&A partner is sitting there on mute, while I have to argue with this brute. What a circus this place is!! I've had so many wonderful Hotels.com experiences, but this was one I'll NEVER forget. I was fuming at them for their utter lack of professionalism, their complete disregard for their guests, and threatening, bullying manor. I wouldn't stay there again if you paid me $5000 for a night. That's how bad my experience was at this place. Do yourself a favor and move on to the next one. Life is too short to ever be treated like this.

- I9773WLdarial (6/5): Hotel 48 LEX Review - The location was great and the room was clean. Walking distance from Rockefeller Center which was perfect. I do think customer service needs to be a bit better considering the price. Someone kept jiggling our lock for during our second night it woke me and my fiance up for at around 3 in the morning which made us a little uneasy. At first we thought maybe someone had the wrong room but it went on for a few mins .With that being said the key cards do not need to be swiped to access floors (might be broken). Which creates a safety problem so that might explain a random person trying to get in. Also when we called the front desk because we were having problems with our shower the receptionist was so nice and said she would send the custodial engineer to us ASAP. As we were trying to get ready to make our reservations for dinner since it was our Anniversary. However 30-45 mins later still waiting to take a shower none came.
- 715marissaw (8/5): Okay. Consider the price you pay - Staff is nice but I don’t understand why they charge a resort fee of $50 a person. We walked in, there’s no lobby or services. The girl scanned my credit card and ID and we went to our room. No amenities. The room was basically clean but there was a produce sticker on the wall, one of the coffee pods was cut open and turned over on the tray and there was a used rubber glove on our couch. Wasn’t confident enough in the cleanliness of the room to use the tea kettle or coffee maker. Good location and clean. But weird TV access and consider what you’re paying for a basic hotel that looks nice but has no amenities or services.

- WhirldTraveler (10/5): They knew the assignment. Good business stay - I stayed here for a conference that work paid for. The hotel was a bit pricey on one of those days but you get what you pay for. The only part I didn’t like was the slow elevators(there are 2) and sometimes one wasn’t working. However the room was surprisingly large, the bed comfortable and it was very quiet even though my room was near the elevator. The wine bar in the evening was lovely. My rate included breakfast but you have to pay tip and taxes. I contrast that with the Lexington across the street that I moved to after because it was cheaper and I had to pay for myself. My room there was tiny and so loud being on a lower floor, perhaps. Mid-town location is great. I love walking around NYC and will only take the subway or Uber when necessary.
