Guest Reviews
- MARITZA (6/5): - Very disappointed with breakfast, eggs and beans were COLD, brought it to their attention and they turned on the warmers after they took the food to the kitchen and warmed up. $149.00 USD p/person. Not worth 2 cents.
- Maria (10/5): - I went for work overall it was a wonderful stay a little noisy but is tolerable
- eduardo Demesa (8/5): - The place is good for relaxing.
- JORGE (8/5): - Very near to the largest Mall in Cancun, and great staff! With PARKING!
- Yadira (10/5): - Clean building
- Stecy K Zapata (10/5): - The staff there are super friendly. They kept our luggage’s in their room because our flight got delayed and called us taxis since we didn’t want to get scammed. It’s right next to a mall and starbucks/restaurants. And even better, a Walmart! I believe this hotel is affordable and convenient for anyone.
- Matthew W. (6/5): - Good location for one night.
- Matthew W. (6/5): - Good option for an overnight stay, but not more than a night and they don't have a gym.
- mario (10/5): - Good
- Janette (2/5): - Horrible and to small it should be a capsule hotel
- Janette (2/5): - Horrible for more than 1 person is a small cave not a good place unless you are by yourself no table or chair barely a bed and shelf no space not even for luggage
- Igor (10/5): - Very good
- Mhd louay (8/5): - It's a nice hotel but very far away from the city or the beach it's somehow near to the airport, so you should have a car , the service is good 😊
- Monica (10/5): - Excelente y conveniente
- Reyna (2/5): - Super tiny rooms not even fit the baggage in the floor, or waking around! Really bad experience
- Juan (10/5): - It’s centrically located in centro Cancun.
There’s a Walmart next door which’s very convenient.
Rooms are clean and recently renovated.
There’s no fridge in the room and for me was a little inconvenient since I had no way to store my insulin injections.
There’s no iron in the room either.
Other than that the staff was very professional and attentive.
- Michael (10/5): - Excellent
- Alfredo (10/5): - Exelente
- Elys (2/5): - The room didn’t have air conditioning. Great staff, horrible hotel
- David (8/5): convenient for central Cancun - Breakfast was good, staff are excellent. Room on the small side, no frills. There is a wal-mart food store next door which is pretty useful.
- Antonio (10/5): - Great stay, but the door to the hallway was to thin so I could hear everyone coming in and out of the elevator. But other than that it was a wonderful stay
- Hilda (10/5): - Easy access to the airport and major mall and food. Easy going hotel -very simple
- Lazaro (10/5): - Excellent property and customer service
- Videodhar (4/5): Lackluster property at a good location - My wife and I stayed at this property in April 2025 for just one night. The lobby staff is unwelcoming and slow. The rooms are small, we stayed in a 2x full bed room which showed me as the topmost tier that day. There’s barely any space in the room. It’s a tiny room where putting a single checkin bag is a nightmare. The bathroom and shower game me a “motel” feel. Shower head was a drip - no pressure at all. There was one liquid container in the shower that said shampoo +conditioner+ body wash.
- Siva (10/5): - The hotel is pretty descent, only thing I didn’t like it the access card issue to enter the room, in 3 days I faced access issue at least 3 times.
- Zoe (10/5): - Friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed. Able to walk across the street to the mall. Small grocery at the bottom of hotel and ice cream shop.
- Maria (6/5): - It is ok for work and the price but wouldn’t stay here for traveling
- SOFIA (4/5): - I have stayed in a few Ibis here in Mexico and Colombia. They all excel in cleaning, here it is the exception. Upon my notification to front desk about Used Condom found from previous guest under bed, there was No Cleaning Lady arriving nor Apologies or Solutions from Young Staff. Staff from Breakfast were lovely and food was good, however there is certainly something Weird and Untold happening with Cleaning Staff.
- Paul Scott (10/5): - Rooms were very clean. The bathrooms were also clean and in excellent condition. Shower had plenty of hot water and were in like new condition. Breakfast was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. There is a mini Walmart store downstairs that is attached to the hotel and a mall across the street with plenty of places to eat so you don't need to spend extra money hailing taxi's. Everything you need is in super close walking distance from the hotel. I will never stay anywhere else when im in Cancun. You will not be disappointed. Ibis has it all!
- Lorraine (10/5): - CLEAN, EXCELLENT STAY! NO PROBLEMS AT ALL, BEST HOTEL
- rita (6/5): - This property is good if you speak a good deal of Spanish. The staff was often unable to help when spoken to in English. They were friendly, but unhelpful.
The rooms were VERY small with limited towels etc.
The food in the restaurant had few choices and the breakfast was not very good. The staff was friendly.
I placed the notice of the door not to disturb and I was disturbed.
- carlos m (10/5): - Great Hotel great location all of the above everything is awesome in this place loved it will definitely stay here again
- Fouad (10/5): - Thanks for the reception worker
- trinh (8/5): - There was no fridge in the room. It is convenient. 15 mins away from the airport. There are restaurants around the area. There is a 7 Eleven and Walmart Express seconds away. The mall is across the street with a supermarket with fresh foods
- Vaishakh (6/5): - 👍
- Kenneth (2/5): - Terrible communication and service. Our toilet stopped working at night, and despite reporting it immediately, we were left waiting until 11 AM the next day for a solution. After all those hours, they finally decided to give us a new room—something they should have done from the beginning. To make matters worse, we were charged for a late checkout even though the night manager had given us approval to stay until 12 PM. Completely unacceptable experience
- Marilyn (10/5): - Just there one night, staff were very nice. Food was excellent.
- Mark (8/5): - Great value for money, wonderful friendly staff. Clean modern rooms. Very good breakfast
- PARTHIV (4/5): - Small room. Location is good but it's better to stay in a resort. Breakfast was good.
- Mariana (10/5): - Nice and clean
- Gladis (10/5): Comfortable and clean - Was good
- Donna (10/5): - Walmart and shopping store closed by
- Esteban (10/5): - Me gustó el lugar
- David (8/5): - This is a basic hotel in terms of the rooms, but the staff are truly excellent and there is a good breakfast available in the restaurant. Also there is a mini Walmart next door which is useful.
- Yazmin (10/5): - Very nice located. Walmart right next to hotel. 7 11 behind the building. And 5 min walk to the plaza. Room was small but had everything needed. Breakfast was delicious. No complaints
- Virve (8/5): - Would be nice to have a coffee/tea maker in a room along with a mini fridge.
- Melanie (10/5): - The rooms are extremely clean and the staff is absolutely amazing. They have a really amazing breakfast buffet. They have a nice bar and restaurant. You are in walking distance to the mall and numerous restaurants. I am actually heading back to Cancun and booked this hotel again. You won’t be disappointed and if you love coffee, they have the best coffee!!
- Lazaro (10/5): - Very clean and excellence location! Very professional staff
- Maria (8/5): - Is a good option for an economic price if you are just doing business.
- Shanmukha Srinivas (2/5): - Washrooms are not in a situation to use. Very bad property
- tricia (10/5): - Omar the manger was so helpful and kind . Thank you Omar and the morning staff .
- Oluwapelumi (10/5): - It was a relaxing stay at the ibis
- Pradhyumna (8/5): - Good to stay, would be nice if provided with dryer facilities
- Sandra (8/5): Ideal location in Central Cancun - I stayed here to be closer to my cousin who lives in Central Cancun. The event was a family reunion. The room was fine for my needs. The fab/AC worked fine, the bed was comfortable, i liked the soap and shampoo they offered in the bathroom, and the breakfast (including the coffee) was nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was a nice stay although we only went to the hotel to take a shower and sleep at nighttime.
- Kalanidhi (8/5): - The room is smaller, however, it is neat and the cleaning team does a good job daily. There are 3 elevators, so no delay in getting down or going up. One of the inconveniences for me is that Uber Eats drivers can't walk up to the room. They wait outside the hotel and we must go down every time. The entry point of the hotel is pretty tricky and confusing at times. Walmart is next to the hotel in the same property.
- Estelle L (10/5): Stay here in Cancun! - Wonderful personnel who were welcoming and helpful! Healthy breakfast, also!
- Marin (8/5): - The hotel is in a safe central area, with easy access to the airport. The room was very clean but had a musty odor. Room with two double beds was small but sufficient for a one-night stay prior to flying out. Easy check-in and out. Small Wal-mart attached to the hotel at ground level was very convenient.
- Jayson T. (10/5): - nothing
- Arturo (4/5): - Bedrooms are smaller than shown in pictures, barely space to walk. Washroom gross, smells and needs detailed cleaning
- Alexis (10/5): - It was great
- Norma (10/5): - Excellent locationand staff was friendly.
- Delbert (10/5): - The air conditioner in my room did not work, but they were very good about changing rooms
- Edwin (6/5): - Not for families, or groups more than 2 per room. Very small no microwave no fridge. Location is great has a Walmart express below it and a 7/11 across the street
- Amal (2/5): - The only major thing I have noticed with this hotel was it has no windows no fresh air and it smells because for a decade there’s no fresh air that went through the entire. There’s nothing circulating.
- Odyssey240688 (2/5): Small rooms and small beds - This hotel is very basic and honestly very small rooms, the beds are really small and this is very unconfortable for a family of 3 cause is really hard to sleep in a twin xl bed the rooms are smelly (some) i use 3 and 1 smells like rotten and very humid, i will not back to this hotel
- AKHIL (8/5): - Room was very small
- 331mahaveerc (2/5): Worst ibis seen - Rooms were dirty, towels were dirty with bad smell, we were having two rooms and 1 room was without self and one was without fridge, 1 thing missing in both. safe found already locked and not opened even after request. Hotel and restaurant staff was reluctant to listen any of our request. tiles were coming out in passage. We leave everyday at 6.30 am for tour and asked restaurant to pack breakfast but they skimpily denied. considering all these factor we deserve full refund. I choosed Ibis over nearby Marriott and regret choosing ibis.
- Varun (8/5): - Very convenient location in downtown and closer to all locations. Perfect for people who don't spend much time in the room and go outside to explore.
- Steven (10/5): - I was really impressed with this hotel. Everything was clean. Check in was easy and quick. Lots available in short walking distance. I would stay there again.
- RIDWAN (10/5): - overall good
- Roger Patrick (10/5): - The staffvat Ibis Centro Cancun were very friendly and welcoming. It's nice to have a Walmart Express connected to the property and a very large busy mall within a very short walking distance of Ibis. Thank you to the staff at Ibis Centro Cancun for making my stay in Mexico a wonderful wonderful experience.
- Carlos (2/5): - For children the ask for some of ID which I was not told until I go to the check in made it very long and misinformed about the documents needed to check in children I will never go back
- Nassar (2/5): - Bad customer service, room smelled really bad, don’t even try a breakfast in the restaurant, terrible.
- Misael (10/5): - Nice and clean hotel to sleep comfortably at night and easy access to transportation across the street to head out to explore during the day.
- Israel (10/5): - Great location and price, room was small but clean
Breakfast was good
- Vadim (10/5): Great hotel - Great place! A bit smaller room than anticipated but overall great experience!! Thank you all
- Ignacio Rossebelt (10/5): - Not
- Christopher (6/5): - Very small room, loud when other guests close their doors and had to constantly go to front desk to reprogram room key
- Miriam (10/5): - Good
- Misael (10/5): - Convenient alternative hotel from the hotel zone and easy access to transportation located across the street
- jiadong (10/5): - Nice hotel
- Sonja (6/5): - Friendly staff. 5 min walk to the shopping mall.
- Teresa (8/5): - Excellent location, the staff was friendly, the hotel was fine ( is 3 starts) you get what you paid, for the price is a good opción, restaurantes, shopping, Starbucks in walking distance.
- GERARDO (8/5): - El precio, la ubicación , habitaciones limpias y confortables
- Cesar (10/5): - Great
- Javid (2/5): - Terrible
- Fabio (2/5): - I understand that Ibis hotels offer basic services, but I was quite disappointed with this particular location. To make matters worse, my wife left a ring behind that should have been easy to locate. Despite numerous attempts to follow up, the response we received was far from satisfactory. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
- JORGE ANDRES (10/5): - Muy agradable. El Hotel Ibis Cancún, está ubicado en una zona muy agradable de la Cd. de Cancún.
- Roberto (4/5): - This hotel is old and run down. the tiles are comming up of the floor in the hallways.
- Nathan (8/5): - Will break this down by category.
Expedia: Easy to book end stop. Only issue was breakfast being included and having to work this out each morning. Small matter but be ready.
Hotel (IBIS): Check-in easy. Staff great. Room service excellent. Parking, perfect.
Issue... room key working each day. Everyday had to get the key reset.
Overall this was a good stay and booking.
- RAMON GEOVANI (6/5): - Muy chicas la
habitación
Eramos 2 adultos y 2 niños inicialmente únicamente nos dieron 2 toallas
- Ruen (8/5): - buen hotel solo las abitaciones son muy pequeñas
- Jose (8/5): - Good for one night emergency stay, Bed frames in bad condition dirty, Shower are gets the floor soaked because its not well sealed.
- Pako (10/5): - Really nice!
- Martha (8/5): - For the price and area it was a good deal.
- carminablewis (2/5): Horrible experience terrible staff - We stayed from 8-12 July, the restaurants and hotel itself was really nice but our experience, the staff and service was appalling
1. We arrived on the 8th and at the Grand they were trying to sell us to upgrade there from Nizuc. It wasn’t a nice welcome. They tried to sell their 90 minutes presentation and a couples massage. The representative was completely oblivious our 8 month old was crying and “didn’t read the room”
Why would you want a couples massage if you are travelling with a baby, complete amateurs and lack of service
2. AC never worked our room was awful, no ventilation.
3. Went we left the hotel we were chased by a representative who said to us in light of the bad experience we had in the hotel they wanted to give us an offer of 40/50% discount in a future stay in the next 1.5 years. He noticed I spoke Spanish fluently and said to me just convince your husband to pay 299 USD and you get this offer. When I said can I think about it, is not a good time as we were carrying not only our luggage but the pram, car seat and all the luggage for our baby and he was like it’s now or it expires. I complained about this behaviour to the hotel, and they didn’t even reply.
It’s so horrible the staff cheapens the experience and resort. I felt in a motel
- Arlette (6/5): - El servicio e instalaciones están bien, sin embargo el colchón y almohadas son terribles, no se puede descansar, deberían de mejorarlas.
