The room with the balcony was lovely. The staff could not do enough for you. Tracy did everything for us and we enjoy the trips very much. Breakfast was very good.

The facility does requires some attention. The in-room safe was not bolted and can be removed from room easily. Chair legs need more padding to minimize noise produced when being dragged. It was quite annoying to hear the noise from upstairs late at night and in early morning. All that being said, the service was excellent.

- Li Qi (6/5): Convenient option in the old quarter - Convenient walkable location in the old quarter, especially if you intend to take the shred limousine transfer to Ninh Binh. The hotel is slightly dated but at least the air-conditioning is good and strong (an issue which is often a problem in many places in Vietnam). The staff is very friendly but what strikes me odd is when they quiz you on the way you have completed their feedback form at check-out.

And I was not dissapointed about this hotel, in contrary everything was above expectation. The service here is fantastic, and I am sure many 5 stars facility can not cope with the services providet from this hotel. Breakfast was great with homemade pho and omelette for me. However, the buffe quality could be a little bit better. The location is also OK, not far from many main atractions in old town. I had a room with balcony, was great too.

The room was sparkling clean; there were nice touches like the rose flowers on the bed and the tea and cookies at reception. The staff was very welcoming and very accommodating, always with a smile on their faces. The breakfast was tasty and had a variety of selections. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Staff were very professional, friendly, and went out of their way to ensure that we had an enjoyable stay. The included breakfast had a nice buffet selection and the option of omelette, eggs or noodle soup individually made to order. We had a very enjoyable week staying at Nova Luxury hotel.

- Verified traveler (10/5): House at Bamboo Corner - Short version: Go for the convenient location, stay for the wonderful staff. Long version: You are here because you want neither a hostel nor a large luxury hotel. I stayed here for the month (!) of December 2018, but it was my first time in Hanoi. All my comments should begin with “In my limited experience…” Location. You are at the northwestern end of the Old Quarter, where much of life plays out on the narrow streets and is a bit cheaper than the somewhat more posh southern part of the quarter. From here it is <10 minutes walk to the central market, night market, Hoan Kein lake, Cathedral, the ‘mapped’ and local/tourist restaurants and beer street. You are <30 minutes walk to Lake Truc Bach, the massive monuments, presidential palace and government buildings…also to Hanoi Hilton prison and Opera House, but in a different direction. Since the Nova is at Bamboo Corner, it is easy to find in the chaotic, cacophonous streets of the Old Quarter. Facilities. Maybe 30 rooms? QUIET! Bright, airy room with a window or two, hot modern shower, mini fridge, tv, and good air conditioner. Breakfast is not one of these massive buffets, but is certainly well more than you need. Service and personnel. The crew will take care of you. Book your day trips and excursions here at some discount. Always gracious. Always with a smile and always going above and beyond to attend to your needs. A surprise birthday party?! Christmas party? To go tea mug? Vietnamese hospitality at its best.
- Suzanne (8/5): Lovely convenient hotel with super friendly staff - Lovely staff- so welcoming and so very kind. They go out of their way to be helpful and it was warmly received. My one suggestion is the breakfast is improved. Example- the fruit is open. A small girl sneezed on all the fruit - and her germs contaminated the uncovered food. Perhaps a better selection of food items. There was no cloth to hold the French bread to slice. That meant if you want French bread, each person had to contaminate the bread by holding it directly. There should be a bread cloth. The toast machine was slow... and quite small. The omelette we had tasted good. The soft boiled eggs were too soft. The croissant wasn’t that fresh.

Good made to order breakfast with a nice buffet. Good location near the nightlife of Old Quarter. Friendly staff. Two small issues though. There was no hot water in the room until after 5pm on my day of arrival and no hot water when I woke up in the morning. It is winter here, and this made it difficult to take a shower. The other issue was the noise from the road. This is to be expected in almost every hotel in Old Quarter, Hanoi really. The hotel was kind enough to provide ear plugs, but some noises can't be blocked out. I would stay here again, but not book a room facing the street. I would also call ahead and make sure they have hot water.

Service was impeccable, room was great, and location was perfect in the Old Quarter - walking distance to the French quarter, the main market, Hoan Kiem lake, and plenty of other attractions. Although it was in the heart of the hustle and bustle, our room was quiet and relaxing. The balcony was great. Good English speakers there too for Westerners. I cannot emphasize enough how amazing the service was - they even arranged for our bags to be transferred to another hotel while went on a 2 day trip to Ha Long Bay. Highly, highly recommended. This is a legit 3.5-4 star hotel in Hanoi. We will be staying here again next time we return to Hanoi!

Most fruit juices were not to my taste but you have several of them and then can find the one. (I did with passion fruit). Location is very central and great to access the best of 36 streets district. Night market was also 3 minutes, and Hoan Kiem lake a 5 minutes walk. Very busy and noisy street but I heard nothing despite having a street front room with balcony. In short : very good value, great stay with comfort and friendly staff. What else ?

- Melaniejane (10/5): Hanoi adventures for a 50th - We really enjoyed the hotel and its staff at Nova. Nothing was an issue for them, they booked our tours, gave suggestions, even did some shopping for me lol.The location is awesome, close to money exchange, laundry service, restaurants, street food outside the door, coffee shops, and about 15 min walk to the lake area, where there is a fast food restaurant building.The rooms were clean and comfortable, water replaced daily, a little fridge for your own things, a small balcony thats good for taking photos from, and friendly staff. Breakfast is ok, I made a few suggestions, they were working through them before we left!! If you're happy with a little boutique style hotel thats clean and comfortable, with staff that really try, then this is the hotel for you.

- Maureen (10/5): - The family room is reasonable spacious with a little balcony overlooking the busy streets. The beds and pillows are clean and comfortable. Room is very well-lit and Wi-Fi reception is exceptionally good. Bathroom is clean and well provided with towels and toiletries. The bathtub looks new, however there is some water seeping problem, where bath water will flow from the side of the tub down onto the bathroom floor. Shower is not strong enough. Otherwise everything else is perfect. Room is accessible by lifts. Housekeeping service is perfect too. Staffs are extremely helpful, friendly and courteous, from the reception, bellboy and the restaurant. They make us feel very much welcomed and at home with their amazing hospitality. Check in was no hassle and they even welcomed us with a fruit platter and welcome drinks. Breakfast served is reasonably good with different choices daily. Besides the buffet spread, there is a special breakfast menu which we can order at no extra charge. Hotel is strategically located within walking distance to shopping areas, restaurants and convenient store is just around the corner. If we are coming back to Hanoi again, Nova Luxury will still be our choice. Thanks Nova for the comfortable stay and the great hospitality.

Preferred this location to other parts of old town more towards hoan kiem lake where it feels more stressful with people trying to sell you things and get you in their restaurants. Great spot. Great value. Great hotel. Would stay here again and recommend to friends.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Our stay here was wonderful, the staff were incredibly helpful in letting us know where to go. They were also helpful in that we had a trip to Halong booked and were allowed to leave our big luggage safe with them and only take what we needed for the two days. We were also able to come back and have a shower to freshen up before catching our train despite having already checked out. I would highly recommend this place, it is in a good central location and plenty around it. The breakfast was also lovely :)
- Van Anh (2/5): Dishonest staff/Too expensive/Not worth the money - I guess when it comes to money, it's hard for everyone to be honest & helpful. I made 2 reservations at this hotel through hotels.com for 2 different dates. Whether or not I cancelled 1 of the reservations, when I showed up for the later date and needed an extra room, they could have been helpful and if they had found out that I might have erroneously forgotten to cancel the previous date, they could have offered me the extra room at no additional charge. They stayed quiet about the other reservation on purpose (because money's already in the pocket) and charged me for the extra room anyway. To me, that's not honest & helpful. I'm pretty sure other honest & helpful business people could have handled it differently & more positively. I refuse to stay here in the future because I don't like to do any business with dishonest & unhelpful people, no matter how good things look on the surface. Also, DO NOT stay here because their bathtubs are extremely high and we almost fell twice getting in and out of the bathtubs in both rooms. In addition, they have a safe box but it's not anchored to anything so anyone can walk away with it easily. When we asked the manager, she just coyingly smiled and said "yeah, the previous construction people didn't know how to do it right". You would think for the amount that they charge you per day, $40 to $50/night, which is very expensive in VN, they would have provided more services & better customer service. Stay elsewhere!

- TTL (10/5): The room was comfortable in every way - Nice and clean hotel/room (we stayed in deluxe room/city view), close to central of Hanoi. We received welcome drinks served to our room when we checked into the hotel. Short walking (5-7mins) to the Hoan Kiem Lake and old quarters, passing many irresistible yummy local street foods. There is a super famous and delicious Bún Mọc (pork meat balls stuffed mushroom noodle soup) street store opened at night opposite the hotel (just a street cross :D). Staffs are very friendly and helpful. The night (quite late, almost mid-night) before we headed to the airport in the next morning, staffs even extended their assistance to get a weighing scale for us to check all our check-in luggages, so we could pack them properly. Staffs greeted us every morning during breakfast buffet to ensure we had a good sleep and pleasant foods. The hotel, staffs and services deserve 5 stars. Not sure why it's still 3 stars as shown in the search list.
- Barbara (10/5): The right choice - This hotel is great because they just renewed it and in Hanoi that is a plus. There are tons of old hotels so a brand renewed one is a gem. Everything was clean, from beds to floors to bathrooms. No cockcroaches (we saw plenty on a different hotel) I guess they also changed management so they were super friendly, which is quite common in Vietnam, but here they went really overboard to please us. The breakfast was wonderful and the rooms and beds were super comfortable. We left for a day and came back to Hanoi and went to a different hotel and we definitely missed Nova Luxury. The price is also great compared to what others offer for more money.
- catherine (8/5): Nice hotel in middle of Hanoi city - We were greeted by Emily and Lilly and they were wonderful! On arrival from airport, we were given cool refreshments and taken to our room even though it was before the checkin time. Our room was very beautiful and white. Bed is very comfortable, bathroom is very modern and great shower and even the TV has English channels! We had an inside room where there were no windows however it was prefect for sleeping with full room darkness!

- Verified traveler (10/5): nice and clean hotel - The hotel was a 40 minute taxi drive from the airport, located right in the Hanoi Old Quarter . The service was excellent : the Front Office Manager welcomed us when we arrived, the breakfasts were lovely and the man who lived in was extremely helpful, booking taxis and excursions for us. The room and en-suite were clean and well-presented. I would definitely recommend this hotel - great value for money
