Guest Reviews
- Katerina (6/5): - The room was very small, but the hotel is in the city center, and it is cheap, so the value for money is acceptable.
- MarieJoarlette (2/5): Horror in Paris - Worst place ever been! Need to be entirely clean up! Will never comme back, even for free. Shame to be classified as tourist accomodation. Simplicity does not mean the place does not need to be clean.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Didn’t like the rude staff upon arrival. And the fact the hotel had any recognition of my booking which led to me and my partner being left out in Paris on our first night having to search for a place to stay even though the booking was confirmed and paid for 4 months prior to arrival. The guy that works there was very aggressive and rude and they tried to put us in a place across the street that the owner of the hotel owns I believe that was some abandoned room more like a prison if I’m being honest. People that worked at the hotel when I called Expedia to get them to speak to the hotel to double confirm the booking the staff were rude and put the phone down to Expedia saying they only spoke French.
- Berni (2/5): - This property truly should not be offered as an option on Expedia. It fails to meet the basic needs of travelers in a foreign city. The normal comforts of even a low-grade hotel or hostel are not met. Proximity to the Louvre is its only redeeming quality. I was so disappointed that I left after an hour and found another hotel.
- gianluca (8/5): - Tout c'est bien passe'. Acceuil agreable.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This property was very close to the Louvre and awesome restaurants. But it needs maintenance and also they need to service the rooms daily. We had to ask for clean towels and toilet paper.
- timversey (6/5): Almost 700 years of history! - Perfect location. Friendly and helpful staff. However, the place really needs a good clean. Hotel, please take note of this. Yes you get what you pay for, in the most expensive city in Europe a nights stay here is very inexpensive, but you also need to clean the walls, floors and bathrooms for your visitors. Comfy bed, clean bedding and fresh towels, but other than a chair and a table nothing else, not even a wardrobe. Not suitable for families and children but if you are just wanting a base to explore the city from this will do. Only suitable for the most mobile of people. Steep staircase which in parts slants to the side with age. If you are at the top of the building you have to be fit to get up those stairs. No lift. No dining area and no breakfast. Fascinating history the street has! Check it out on google! Discreet night club directly opposite though no noise disturbance. Great bars and restaurants in proximity.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Value for money - Exactly what you can expect for the price! Keep in mind the cheapest room have shared bathrooms, luckily we could upgrade for just a couple of euros per night. No elevator, tiny rooms, but good bed, clean sheets, clean towels every day. The shower should be cleaned better (hairs from previous guests). Good enough value for money
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The location couldn't be more perfect! The staff were extremely friendly.
- Walter (10/5): Very good and cheap for tourism - It is a fair hotel, based on the low price and what it offers. It’s good for tourism because it’s extremely well located (2 blocks from Louvre Museum and subway station - Louvre, and 3 blocks from the train station that connects you directly to CDG or ORY airports - Châtelet Les Halles). The only thing you need after walking and doing tourism all day long is a good bed for sleeping. Bed linen and towels were clean and comfortable. Further, the reception personnel was very kind and handful, specially Mr Faizar. Everything we have asked was promptly attended. Although there’s no breakfast, there are many good restaurants around, less than 1 minute walking, at fair prices and with good food. There is also a Franprix (budget market) 1 block from the hotel. During the winter, having showers should be quite challenging because there is no heater inside the bathroom. I’ll definitely stay again in this hotel when I’m back to Paris.
- EDUARDO (10/5): - If you looking for hotel 5 starts it is not your place, but the location and price is SUPER STARS.
- Franz (8/5): Gute Lage nahe Banque de France, Louvre - Lage gut nahe Banque de France, Louvre, nette unmittelbare Umgebung. Zimmer abgewohnt, klein, WC, Dusche am Gang, kein Lift. Personal freundlich kompetent.
- genuinefeedbac (4/5): dirty, run down hotel, excellent location. comfortable bed clean sheets. over 110 euros. NOT FOR SOLO TRAVELLERS - the firs night at 19.00 the room was not ready, and did not have the room we booked. they separated us, and gave us 2 pokey, dirty, rooms, one of them: their loft private room, wiht teir rubish in it. the other very hot room, at the base of the hotel. the window opened to a tiny patio, and was opposite a shared bathroom so the light and the noise woke me constantly. since i booked it to pay at the hotel i asked to get a discount at least, but they already took the money so I got nothin but smiles. the second night finally got the family room I booked and it was much better. although still rund down wiht mold in every room and shower, at least it was spacious and wiht 2 windows. if you want a place only to sleep, it is ok otherwise go further or spend a bit more. the photos look much better that what it is.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Centralt boende - Centralt boende
Nära till det mesta
Låg standard på rummet
Ingen ac eller kyl (värmeböljan 2019)
Dålig städning
- Barry (6/5): Paris on the cheap. - The Hotel Lille Louvre is what it is and what it is is a well located, no frills, cheap hotel 2 blocks from the Louvre Museum.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not recomended - The room is very small, whether furniture is present at all it is old, almost ancient but not valuable, a wall in front of window
- Verified traveler (6/5):
- goldham23 (2/5): Don’t, just Don’t - OMFG
I can say I’ve traveled the world and have never seen or stayed in a worse place. Filth is what best describes this sh*thole.
I know I’m an American so I expect a little more but our room was maybe 7’x 14’ at most. No toilet in the room we had one very small toddler bed and a sink.
When we arrived late because our flight was delayed they had given our room away ! Then they made it sound like they were doing me a favor at 1:00 AM to give me the closet room. Dirty, filthy, room hasn’t been cleaned in years floors dirty, just don’t is all I can say rude people to deal with and just the absolute worst place I’ve seen in my life. Run Paris is Amazing don’t ruin your trip by staying here. Your better off sleep under the bridge. I wish I had taken photos. We only stayed here one night thanks god ! THIS IS TWO WEEKS after I’ve been home and cooled off. If you don’t read another post hope you find this one. Just don’t.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The hotel never took me in. The guy told me they were sold out and made me walk 15 mins away to a totally different hotel in a different area and the room wasn’t close to what I had reserved.
Not a good experience.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The cost of $50/night was great for being 2 blocks from the Louvre. The whole place was very worn out and old. I asked for another blanket and was told they didn't have any- they were booked solid. But, the room was warm enough. In 2 weeks I had my room made up 3 times and I had to ask 2 times for one of them. Bathroom was tiny but has good water pressure and lots of hot water. There was no front desk and the staff spoke only minimal English. No assistance with booking trips tours.
Uber had a hard time finding men since the hotel was down an alley- had different pick up locations. Overall it was a dump, but, safe and quiet. My needs are pretty simple, but, this may have been below even my needs.
- Celeste (8/5): Central and cheap - Location excellent. room too dark. One electric sicket did not work. Bed not a double bed but at least nice and comfortable. Bedside table at ackward place
- EvaMouse (2/5): I cannot recommend Hotel de Lille- Louvre - I stayed here in October 2018. They put me on the 5th floor, which evidently was a room used for storing light bulbs, and dirty fans and heaters. There was a standing puddle of water on the carpet in front of the sink, and the sink could not be used because of a plumbing blockage. I have photographs of everything. The room smelled of raw sewage throughout my stay. This did not seem to surprise the hotel staff and they did not demonstrate concern. It seemed to be a family-owned business. They made no effort at courtesy to notify me in advance of these problems. Every day I asked and they promised me the plumbing would be fixed that day, but they never even came into the room to attempt a repair. In my opinion they were not straightforward with me at any point. Finally after nearly a week they offered to put me in a comparable room in a sister hotel that I believe is run by the same family. Wifi quality was poor. There was no soap in the room, and when I asked for soap at night, the night manager who was at the office scolded me, saying "Do you know what time it is?" The next day I was given soap. I attempted to receive a refund or compensation through this website's customer support, but evidently the hotel refused. When I checked out their office staff told me I had to pay a 5 euros per day city tax, which I did I only found out later that, as an officially 1 star hotel, the city tax is actuallly only 0.88 euros per night. I was cheated and I was not comfortable or satisfied by these accommodations and I cannot recommend this hotel. On a positive note, the location is good, it's near the Louvre.
- Corey (6/5): It’s ok... - Not the cleanest room. Does not have a bathroom in the room. I didn’t realize this when I booked but found out later after reading more reviews. Not the cleanest but the bed seemed fine so it was ok.
- natasha2105 (2/5): Do not !!!!!! stay there! - Hotel was terrible and at the same time had problem.. they moved us to different hotel in terrible location and even worse Hotel... Just .. bad experience.. They sent me to other place and at the same time booking charged me like NO Show , mean we did not show up.
- Mariabella2470 (4/5): Worse than expected - I stayed with a friend in July and wasn’t expecting much for the price, which was amazing considering the location. Was hard to find at first (it’s down an alleyway) but thankfully I had a French friend with us to Google it. When we first arrived Rida (one of the three males that work there) gave us two keys and told us to check out both rooms. He then said we could have the room we booked if we paid cash so that he wouldn’t have to pay the booking.com fees. Dodgy. He did lower the price to match that of the second room, which was cheaper, but still dodgy. The room was large enough, however no fan in summer and the bathroom was very dirty, like it hadn’t been cleaned in a few weeks. Also always smelt. Bed wasn’tu too bad but sheets didn’t feel particularly cleaned n. But location great and outdated room fine. Stairs were in pretty bad condition, so older folk will have trouble.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very old facility and terrible bathroom, good location but very poor hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): / location / location / location / location / - good and quiet location / no breakfast / no elevator / clean room and bathroom facilities / room wifi worked fine / no frills hotel.
- lindalt (4/5): Poor choice - This hotel is very worn out and is not worth half of what they charge. The room telephone, light fixture, outlet etc didn’t work, it wasn’t very clean, no elevator or hair dryer, no body in reception area most of the time.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Poor choice - Worth about half of what is charged. Not in great condition, telephone, light fixture, elec outlet not working. Pretty worn out. When we asked for a bath mat, we were told to use the bedroom curtain.
- christinerM3036FO (2/5): Terrible! - Not clean..very old...the bed inconfortable. The stairs are so small, whitout eleveitor and no párking. Very bad, and i say again nothing clean! You can hear the other rooms. Its terrible this hotel. Dont book.
- Verified traveler (6/5): -
- Lisburn_RG (8/5): Lets put this into perspective! - Right ... lets face it ... Paris is one of the most expensive cities in the world. This small individually owned hotel is situated in one of the most central areas of the city ... literally a stone's throw from the Louvre. So, in what Universe do all the people who have rubbished this hotel on TA think they are going to get overnight accommodation in central Paris from £48 per night? Yes ... you heard right ... £48 per night for a single room (March 18). The Hilton, it is not, so get real people! But if you want proximity to bars, restaurants (to suit all tastes and budgets) public transport links (Metro/ Buses/RER) and easy access to CDG airport then this is a gift. Clean bedding, warm water, helpful staff come as standard. Alas, so does the tired appearance of a budget hotel as others have noted. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. The choice is yours. But please, DONT cry your eyes out about cracked plaster and worn carpets. Put into perspective what you are getting, overlook the shortcomings, and you will enjoy your trip to this fabulous area of Paris and beyond. And if its luxury you want ... there's always the Ritz. But you wont get it at these prices!
- roscobell (2/5): Discriminates against disabled people - They refused to refund my money even though I am disabled and this hotel is inaccessible to me. I booked by mistake and tried to cancel the next day. I explained my situation but they basically said “Too bad, read the fine print”. Totally unsympathetic and unfair. If I were a French citizen I would have them in court. I hope my review inspires people to boycott this hotel. They like money more than their reputation.
- Maher (2/5): Zero star hotel - Although good location but terrible condition. Rooms are not like the pictures on the orbitz site. Was given 3 stars in reviews which was misleading. Very small entrance only one person can pass and if you talk to the receptionist the entrance is blocked. Very high tilt stairs no elevator suitable for very young persons. The room has a miserable metal small round plate with two broken wood folded chairs. The third fabric chair with broken arms. Bathroom extremely small the shower handle broken and hot water not there always. No privacy at all. We were living with people next door especially at night we heard clearly their snoring. Booked 4 nights stayed only one was exhausted from overseas flight . Told them while check in that but they refused to refund me the 3 days. Checked in and out without single paperwork just by mentioning my name. Asked for any proof they refused and said manager is traveling. Never gonna use this site again and would never recommend it to any friend. Called customer service millions time still waiting for refund
- Verified traveler (2/5): - i was put in a room which wasn’t an official hotel room. No shower or toilet available to me, freezing and no duvet. paint peeling off walls. I asked to move rooms and they were helpful and took me to another hotel 15 mins away. There I was given a big but cold room with a shower but no hot water.
I wouldn’t recommend this, especially in winter though the staff were friendly and helpful.
- Lesleigh (8/5): Great Parisian Hotel - It was much better than expected. It was quaint but clean and comfortable and in a good location near major landmarks.
- Verified traveler (6/5): You Get What You Pay For - It's cheap and you get what you pay for. Luckily I didn't have to sleep here!
If they just spent a little money, they could charge more as the location can't be faulted!
- kellytW8900ZT (2/5): Words cannot express - Where do i start!! No proper check in , three very steep slanted flights to bedroom . Dirty sheets with hair on them. Toilet shared no sink very dirty. Shared bathroom down two flights of stairs so dirty and needing of repair was unable to use. No smoke alarms in rooms and no fire escape . I could go on and on don't stay in this "hotel"I've added pictures of shared bathroom
- 515riek (6/5): Not bad - The room was really small and the bathrooms weren't cleaned properly everyday, the stairs were very irregular, shared bathroom, very small, a bit filthy, and the shower wasn't so warm, specially because we went during the winter.
The upside is: great location (right behind the Louvre) and helpful staff.
- Joseph (8/5): Quaint budget hotel not suitable for heatwaves! - The hotel is in a fabulous location for tourism hidden away on a road non-accessible to cars. The Metro is really close by, as are the pyramids. Lots of food and drink around. But this hotel is not suited for hot weather. There is no AC and so the rooms rely on windows being left open. Sadly that brings lots of insects into rooms making the bed feel awkward and the safety of your luggage feels dubious too. WiFi connection was better in some areas of the room than others. The owner wanted payment in cash athough he did have card machines. Checking out was a bit of a nightmare especially as my flight was early in the morning. I had to unlock my door and then leave the keys there because there was no return point available and my taxi was waiting at 0350! Despite all this, I would go back if visiting Paris for a few nights. I was going to Roland Garros and Stade de France for sporting sessions and travel was very easy with the hotel location perfect for late night returns.
- Verified traveler (2/5): This place is a scam - false advertising - While this "hotel" is shown on Orbitz with a three-star rating, the French government office in charge of rating hotels in France long ago stripped this location from any star rating - it is in fact a zero-star lodgings, charging rates similar to three-star rated hotels. Unless you are an ultra-devoted backpacker who has gladly experienced the jungles and tundras of third world countries, loving to stay at old crummy hostels which have not been painted in 15-20 years, have one single receptacle per room, lukewarm showers which are infested with all kinds of critters, then this may be a place to your liking - except it commands $100+/night only because it is located in a dark alley not far from the Louvre and other Paris tourist attractions.
Right across the street of it is an all night nightclub of dubious repute, and do not be surprised to hear loud, drunk revelers with no other place to go to in those late night hours just below your window (which you have to keep open because there is no climate control whatsoever in the guest rooms). Add the fact that your cell phone will not easily get a signal (presumably because in a dead area surrounded by taller buildings); that the supposed WiFi this place pretends to offer is almost inexistent, rated "unsafe" and extremely unreliable, and you get the picture.
It appears that this particular location has been able to escape Orbitz' scrutiny. In disgust, I decided to forfeit my non-refundable/prepaid accommodations, and moved.
- 908ashishj (2/5): Worse hotel - Dont stay here.. Man is cheater... No stay for girls... Couples... We booked another room and got worst room...rooms stinky.. Dusty.. Towels are smelly.. Floors are very dirty.. Toilets are like hell... Shower was broken... U can hear other room talks... Even whispering...
- Annamarie (6/5): Great location but a bare-bones place. - I was asked for cash. Used a credit card but still, they attempted to also charge the card I have on file with Hotels.com. I was told there was 24 hour security but no one was available when I tried to check out at 7 AM. Location is awesome. Hotel is very rustic.
- Sunny2009England (10/5): Beautiful boutique hotel - I stayed here for 1 night with my 4 year old daughter and mother. Beautiful and clean hotel in a great location. Walking distance to the Louvre. Great service with very friendly staff.
Only negative - no English breakfast tea
- liliyapenkova (2/5): Disguisting, very dirty hotel with not working facilities and dirty sheets (with hair in the bed) - I would recommend people NOT to stay there because of several reasons:
1) We had to change the room in the morning after we arrived because of clogged sink (which according to the owner was repaired). The carpet of the first room was full of hair, the bathroom had mold on the walls.
2) After changing the room, the second one had hair in the bed!!! In addition, it was the same one as that one we had found in the bathroom in the first room but we thought that the person had not cleaned it as good after the people before us have left... But hair in the bed in clean sheets is impossible. Obviously, someone has slept in the same sheets before we received the key for the room. It was more than disgusting, unacceptable and against any norms of hygiene! In that case I cannot imagine how tourists could expect that their health is not endangered in such a hotel.. because nobody knows what the person, who left his/her hair in the bed, has also left in the room..
Yes, the hotel is near the Louvre, but it does not worth it even to use the hotel only for sleeping there and spending all the day outside. There are many other hotels in the same district.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - - the hotel was terrible!!
- the bed was extremely uncomfortable and made noise every time you moved
- when I went to use the bathroom it had no toilet paper, so I had to buy my own
- the shower was extremely dirty
- when I went to shower it had no hot water and turned off after a couple minutes
- the sheets were dirty
- the room was extremely small
- I would never recommend this hotel to anyone
- would love some time of a refund for my awful stay
- ruined my trip to paris
- Gapt25 (4/5): Poor Hotel - Do not stay at this hotel, very poor poor plase:-((((
Small ang very very derty rooms its looks like a sheet holl Do not recomadet and i never will be stsing thear My raying 2* bicouse of the location locations is super
- Linuxmonkey (4/5): Cheap for a reason - Location is great. Café next door does a really good breakfast. Bed was comfortable. That's it for the positives. Unfortunately the rooms really need a good clean. Orange mold all over the bathroom. No housekeeping during the time we were there.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - It was not the best place for the money. Very over priced for what I got. No room clean up daily. Floors very nasty. Very very small room. Stay away from room #5
- elfawa7shy (6/5): hotel at the heart of paris - it's an old building in a small street, it was hard to find without the help of the Parisians, worst thing about it is the stairs which is very narrow and steep and it was so much effort to take all luggage up and down. but the stuff are very very friendly. room was wide and bathroom acceptable, bed is very comfortable and clean. the location is very nice and close to a lot of attractions. but you have to bring your grocery and drinks from outside the district coz there is no grocery store near , only one bar at the corner and a club in front of the hotel.oh , they have a fridge down stairs so you can keep your drinkings cold inside it. this is the cheapest hotel in a circle of 1 km or more.
- Donn (8/5): convenient - The room was the only room on the top floor (4th) reached by a narrow circular stairway of about 83 steps. I had to request the room to be serviced.
- 655fionab (4/5): Cheap Dirty Hotel - I know this was a really low cost budget hotel and when we arrived didn't expect it to be up to The Ritz or even Travel Lodge standard but I was somewhat dismissed at the state of the ensuite.
The room in itself was what I expected, shabby and in need of desperate modernisation and redecorating but It had a new bed which was extremely comfortable and we would have slept soundly on the first night had it not been for the lady in one of the other rooms having a very impressive, headboard banging, orgasm at 4am in the morning and that obviously is not something the hotel is responsible for. The room itself was adequate.
On the other hand the bathroom was just vile.
The shower had not been cleaned in many months. It was beyond disgusting. There was black mould everywhere and filthy tiles that were growing pink mould too along with bucket loads of scum.
I was so distressed about it I went out and bought cleaning products and scrubby sponges to clean it myself but after an hours cleaning and only 9 out of 60+ tiles mould free with my effort I admitted defeat and gave up.
I didn't shower for the weekend we were there (I did wash, honest, just not in the shower) but thankfully the shower hose reached the sink (which they had cleaned, weirdly) so I was able to wash my hair!
We would have complained to the hotel directly but the chap who was there didn't speak very good english and my French was too poor to convey the issue.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Another hotel in Paris with same name - The bathroom was moldy with no mirror. A little bit of money could have helped the room. we expected a small room in paris and the location was great but how hard is it to put a mirror in the bathroom. I had to shave in the bedroom. The paint is chipping. The rugs were filthy.
- Lara (6/5): I'd stay here again. - When I arrived, they hadn't actually received my reservation from Hotels.com, but they were very gracious, and promptly gave me a room with a private bathroom (although to be honest, I don't think I'd reserved one like that).
The room itself was decent. It's got that old-timey paint going on. The carpet was rather old and threadbare. However, can't really beat the neighborhood for the price. Less than a five minute walk to the Louvre. I checked in and immediately walked down to the Arc de Triomphe, stopping to shop on Champs-Elysees.
-Lots of restaurants in the neighborhood.
-Free wifi.
-Clean linens
-No bedbugs
-Friendly, English-speaking staff.
- Deborah (8/5): A great family run hotel - Charming family run hotel. No frills but very comfortable. Excellent wifi. Very individual style. Great location.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Did not honour my reservation - Cannot comment on anything except the location which was excellent and the reason I booked this particular hotel. Arrived at 15:45 after a delayed overnight flight from North America and was told they did not have my reservation even though I could see it written in their bookings logbook. Was then informed that my reservation was never confirmed and that they would find me another hotel. It was a distance away and an horrendous hotel but I was jet lagged and needed to rest so I stayed but I must say it was the worst hotel I have ever slept in. I actually can't believe I stayed there now. The owner of the place gave me the impression that this was not the first time the hotel de Lille louvre had sent him a "bumped" reservation.
Instead of having the convenience and security of being near the louvre I was sent off to locate another hotel in what turned out to be an undesirable area near gare d'est, a very unpleasant experience. Left the next day!
So beware that your booking may not be honoured if you choose to book with this hotel.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Watch out - Hotel is a very old place. Probably has original wallpaper. Rooms are basically clean, furniture is shabby. bed very basic. look on there website and rooms come in cheaper that on hotel.com. In the event of a fire, it would be virtually impossible to get out of the building. The bathroom is very, very basic. Plenty of hot water.
- Jim (2/5): TERRIBLE in all Aspects - DO NOT STAY HERE! Please, for my sake, just spend the extra money to stay in a decent hotel in Paris. My girlfriend and I booked a private bathroom but had only a little bit of hot water (we ended up using the shared bathroom) and a toilet that didn't flush everything you need it to flush. The staff is also unprofessional and not helpful.
- Janna (2/5): Terrible hotel near the Louvre-Paris - After travelling several hours from Madrid, tired and weary then one hour in a taxi to the hotel to be informed I had no reservation. The manager was rude in his manner and could not offer me a room. When I presented my booking confirmation he suddenly had a room but for one night only. Regrettably I did not check the room before paying....a mistake I will never repeat. No lift and my room was on the 4th floor so not very happy with heavy luggage, tired and no assistance. The room was very grubby with walls, carpet and curtains dirty. Door had a huge hole. The pokey shower/toilet had dirty pipes exposed. The tiny hand basin was where I had to bathe as the shower had NO water. I spent a very uncomfortable and sleepless night. I travelled Europe for 7 weeks and can say without a doubt this hotel was not fit to be hired. The other hotel I used in Paris offered a clean room plus clean functioning shower and breakfast with friendly helpful staff.
- Ralph C (2/5): TERRIBLE HOTEL - I Hated it - I Love Hotels.com - BUT - This particular Hotel was Horrible - I can NOT believe Hotels.com would allow such a Terrible Hotel in your site - I Will use Hotels.com again, but PLEASEEEEEEEE - Take this Hotel out of your webpage. Thanks
- cur (6/5): - location brilliant but no running water
- Verified traveler (2/5): Paris Hotel - Hotel had a fairly good location near the Louvre. But that was about all that was good. Unknown to me before I booked it, there was no toilet and no TV in my room. Condition of room was very poor and very poor matress and furniture. Would not recommend unless you really need to save money.
- Michele (4/5): Hotel de Lille - On the plus side, the hotel is centrally located and the free wifi works well without glitches. On the negative side, the room was not well maintained. The shower drain was clogged and took hours to drain. The toilet seat and towel bar were broken. There were too many other things broken for me to list them all. There was black mold in the room so that we were coughing each night we were there. We had to pay for the entire stay in advance of seeing the room. Even so we were willing to just lose the money to move out before the week's stay was up.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Don't Stay Here - I was not satisfied with this hotel at all. I stayed at it my last night in Paris since it was convienent to the Metro to CGD airport, since I had a morning flight out. I should have just stayed at my previous hotel.
The room as in such bad condition that I decided to stay out all night and enjoy the city rather than sleep there. There mirror in the bathroom and one of the pictures on the wall were broken. The furnature in the room was very old and was not appealing. Basically I paid for luggage storage.
- Dan (4/5): be wary - The room was very tiny and up three flights of stairs. The free WiFi only worked from the first floor. The bathroom was full of shoddy carpentry. The beds did not have fitted sheets or pillowcases, and the walls were paper thin.
- jeanne (2/5): Things that come out in the dark! - The location of this hotel to the Lourve was great and once found was an immediate down hill slide. The room was up 3 flights of a little stairway and no help was offered. On entering the room, it was a little hot so we opened a window on a small street to get some air. There was no fan or air conditioning at all. There was a small bistro table with two chairs, one of which you could not sit on as it was broken. The bathroom was clean, but toilet was patched together with duct tape. The bed had a single long pillow and was just awful to even lay on. The carpet was filthy, and couldn't imagine sleeping in the tiny, hot and dirty room overnight so we left within two hours of arrival. Don't let the location fool you, you would do better some where else. The french idea of comfort and clean leave something to be desired and when all else fails, they pretend they don't speak english.
