Guest Reviews
- Anurag (8/5): - You get what you pay for. Good service. Good location.
- ONG (10/5): - Our 2nd stay here.
Very convenient to move around the city, zonal attractions and airport shuttle
- sheila (8/5): - The hotel is a bit out of the centre but right next to subway so quick and easy to use. Hotel is fine but no facilities for sit down breakfast. Just a quick snack bag. Not ideal. Also advertise sky TV in room but they don't have it.!!. Staff friendly and helpful.. Rooms compact but really good shower with clean towels provided every day.
- Sheila (10/5): - nice room in cute area. very close to public transportation and restaurants and grocery
- Leighann (8/5): - Great transport links to get around Munich. A few shops within walking distance. Property has everything you need for a city break, clean and basic. Staff and friendly and accommodating .
- Georgios (10/5): - Next to metro and tram, convenient and cheap underground hotel parking
- Robert (10/5): - Great location close to shopping and public transit
- Andrew (10/5): - Simple but clean, convenient and fully soundproof from S-bahn trains outside. 1 minutes walk to the underground station into the city center. Large supermarkets and numerous cafes/bars right outside.
Will book again for its convenience and simplicity.
Thank you.
- Thomas (10/5): - Very convenient for driving to and then catching the U3 line into Munich. Basic hotel but rooms are cosy, good beds and staff friendly,
- Sabrina (10/5): - Hotel and staff lovely. The area is super well connected to go everywhere really , lots of places to eat and shop around. The only issue I had was loud banging noise every morning at around 7am which woke me up each time..could not figure out what it was! Other customers? Delivery drivers banging on the hotel door?
- Richard (6/5): - I selected this location because it was close to an S-Bahn that takes you to the Munich airport. The rooms that face the tracks can hear the S-Bahn run every 10-20 minutes. It was nearly impossible to get any rest before my flight the next morning. It would be good if B&B could do something to reduce the noise.
- Veronika (10/5): - Very good hotel, if you need to spend the night before to go to airport
- Adam (10/5): - This place was absolutely great and just perfect. Outside.. it’s right exactly at SBahn and UBahn stops and is next to an amazing breakfast and pastry shop. Inside.. the lobby has internet connections, charging stations, food and drink. Oh, the daily parking garage only 5 euros! Rooms.. clean, neat, tidy with very comfy beds.. super happy with this accommodation!
- John Owino (10/5): - I love that is close to the Sbahn to Munich haubanhof and eating areas
- Philip (6/5): Quite fair and constructive comment. - Ok/Good. It, s a no frills bums in beds kind of place. Interesting electrics in room. Honest, polite, discreet
service. Unobtrusively helpful as and when required. Friendly staff. Whilst i quite enjoyed the stay and the hotel
fulfilled its purpose , if you want The Dorchester or The New York Plaza, you stay at those places and pay their prices.
- Richard (6/5): Ok property, well connected to public transport - Location away from the city centre, but well connected by public transport (S1 and U3) - still, given it will take good half hour each way it may not be a journey you make multiple times a day.
Property is clean and reasonably equipped, with bathroom in good condition. The room was rather small, very little space left in addition to the bed. Even with these narrow rooms the curtains barely cover the width of the window, leaving quite a lot of light get in in the morning.
My room was on the 1st floor, away from the railway so fairly quiet, but because it was right above the street (and a cafe on the ground floor) when I left the window open, there was frequently cigarette smoke coming in, which was annoying.
- Caroline (10/5): Great value, clean and transport links outside - Excellent budget hotel - clean and modern with very good transport links to all of Munich right outside the door.
Hotel very quiet despite being right next to the railway line (you dont hear the trains unless your window is open and even then theyre not very loud).
Wifi worked in our room as well as hotel
Nice bakery adjacent to hotel for breakfast at a sensible price too.
This is my second visit to this hotel and will definately look at this hotel again in the future if I am in the Munich area again
- Christos (10/5): Great time - The location is was perfect för me , nor in the center of Munich neither long away. The room was clean and Cody . I really enjoyed my stay . The complementary tea and coffee in the room was a plus . I would definitely stay there when I come back in Munich
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The staff was so friendly! They allowed us to lock our bags in storage while we explored. I got the balcony room and it was great! Very close to public transportation which is why I booked this place.
- Peter (10/5): - Staff are excellent. Hotel is like travel lodge basic but has everything for city break. Spotlessly clean. WiFi very good. Condition of hotel very good. Outside little cafe, and restaurants plus supermarket. Hotel is next to railway station so take S1 direct from airport and then at station less than 100 yards to hotel. Hotel has good soundproofing so station does not bother you. At station is underground and within 20 minutes into city center. Trains run every 10 minutes. We got 4 day city card which covered all transport. If we visited city again would go back to hotel.
- Greg (10/5): Munich solo trip - Ideal for budget solo trip to Munich. All staff very friendly and helpful. Excellent transport links on your doorstep. Would definitely stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The location is great. It is right next to the S-bahn and U-bahn. While the S1 train was not always reliable, the U3 was very dependable. There are several bakeries and restaurants nearby as well as a very nice grocery store - Kaufland. I would highly recommend this place; it is very basic but clean and the beds are comfortable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - One thing we did like was the coffee area in the room :) ... the room is average for the type of hotel in Munich ... it was clean but small and bathroom only has a sliding door ... the area is busy but a lot of shopping available right by the hotel ... our room was out to the street so it was a bit noise even with closed windows ... staff was friendly and parking in the garage was good ( Euro 10 a day ) because on the street is nothing available ...for a short stay O.K.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room 116 had a problem with the drain in the sink and shower
- Verified traveler (8/5): Small, clean and nice - Great location. Right across from the train that goes right into Munich. Very small but clean and staff is SUPER nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It’s near to the Metro station. Our room is facing the railway so it’s quite noisy when the train passes by.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - For the price we paid (due to Oktoberfest timing) this was not great but had we paid the normal pricing this would have been good value. Rooms were clean, bed was a bit stiff but comfortable and transport access was great.
- Caroline (6/5): - It was a good place to stay for Octoberfest. Close to transit, 24 hour front desk. Didn’t like the bathroom design. Bed was decent.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was nice and helpful, room was clean and it was close to train.
- Rex (10/5): - Location is next to S Bahn and U bahn. Restaurants very close by , and bakery next door.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Location is great , really close to subway (U3 Moosach station), big supermarket is just few minutes walk. Cafe, bakery, and restaurants are around the hotel.Comfortable bed with compact room size.
The weak point is toilet and shower room are separated with shared slided door. Another strange is shower room layout, there is no shower box but same level floor with the washing area and the room. Drain in my room is not that good and then flood from showering leak into the room.
- Ng (8/5): - Location is very convenient. 5mins walk to train station and tram station just in front of the hotel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location near transport links, lovely rooms, luggage storage
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I'd actually give this hotel 5-Star review for what I paid and what it is. It's perfect for the budget traveler. You must keep that in perspective.
**The PROS: Super affordable, friendly staff, clean rooms, and comfortable beds. The location is pretty far from the Altstadt but the transportation there and to the Hauptbahnhof is pretty easy, with multiple methods of public transport available either in front or behind the building. There's a small shopping center at the end of the block so it's easy to find a cheap breakfast and there's a great döner imbiss across the street.
**The CONS: Rooms are tiny, probably the smallest I have ever stayed in. I stayed with my daughter so we pushed the twin beds apart, which took up most of the space. We slept with the window open and the rail noise may bother some people but not us. The hallway carpets were heavily stained and need to be cleaned or replaced but the room was just fine.
I may opt for a more luxurious hotel the next time we are in Munich but I would not hesitate to recommend this place for the budget-conscious traveler. It's a great value for what it is and the price we paid.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, staff was friendly, good access to central. Room was what you pay for. Parking was separate but good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Right in front of train station which is very convenient.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I liked that the property was close to public transportation. I didn’t like how the air conditioning wasn’t functioning correctly.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location close to public transportation. A good stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Rooms get HOT in summer, AC not effective. - The hotel it self is modern, unfortunately the air conditioning is not very effective. After our first night in a sauna of a room, we were able to swap to another room. This room was not much better and the shower drain also had a blockage. We stayed for three hot nights, and would only stay here again during a cooler season.
- Miss (8/5): - Very well situated for public travel. Nice clean rooms and good staff
- Justin (10/5): Great place to stay with access to train - This place was really nice and comfortable. It was right behind the train station, which made traveling to the city center easy and quick. Rooms were cleaned every day with little gummy bears left on our pillows!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Just fine for the night before airport departure - We stayed here the night before our airport departure and it was just fine for that. It is a very basic hotel with small rooms and few amenities. The room was clean except for the carpet. The bed was comfortable. It was surprisingly quiet for being located next to the train tracks. There is no shower curtain, bath mat, bar soap, or shampoo. The rooms are tiny with hardly a place to put a suitcase. There are a few restaurants and a nice supermarket nearby, but nothing else worth seeing. The metro is very convenient and it's about 30-40 minutes to the airport on the S1.
- Antony (10/5): Long weekend in Munich - Hotel was set in a perfect location with all types of transport links available within short walking distance of hotel. Bakery next door was perfect for breakfast plus a number of supermarkets within 200 metres.L
- Gail (8/5): Brilliant location - Excellent location, right by train station and tram service. Very easy to travel around for days out. Took train from airport to Moosach and was right by our hotel , brilliant when transporting luggage. Bakery next door to hotel excellent for breakfast or coffee and snacks. Would stay here again.
- Samantha (10/5): - I enjoyed being close to the train stations and being in what felt like a little suburb of Munich. It was relaxing and quiet, good first night in Germany!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing LONG Stay - This was my second time staying here. I stayed for 2 weeks. The housekeeping is superb. I have never stayed in such a clean hotel. The supervisor even checks the room after the housekeeping comes just to make sure it's up to standard. This is the only place I will stay in Munich. The staff is always so friendly and helpful. Thanks for another fabulous stay.
- Happy Cristy (8/5): - The location of the hotel is fantastic. Literally 1 min from tram, s train and u bahn. There’s rossman store nearby as well as bakeries. City center is 20 mins or so
- Anders (10/5): - City room right by the nearby S-Bahn station- easily accessible and the room was clean, comfy, just enough to rest after a long day and the check in/out was easy as well. Price is amazing for the amenities offered.
- Paul (10/5): Effecient- inexpensive with a short hop to all - Great experience with amenities as indicated by others. Big plus for us was the bed. Thicker foam pad than most Eurobeds. Very good sleeping conditions. Only minor negative was the room was too small for a chair. Perhaps a fold down seat would fit instead of sitting on the laundry box. Housekeeping- spotless
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good hotel, bad cigarette smell - We liked the hotel overall and the staff were good, but the room absolutely stank of cigarette smoke. It was really horrible. It was a non-smoking room but the smell was disgusting, it was like someone was regularly smoking in the room
- James (10/5): - Great design. Clean, friendly. Staff is fluent in English and helpful in giving suggestions for dining
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Smelly rooms, stained carpets, and the top cover of one bed had a stain. Parking lot under renovations and one day there was not hot water. On the good side, the staff was really nice and accommodating they change my room (twice) and they received a package for me while I was out in the city.
- Keith (8/5): - good value hotel, good location that easy to go downtown with nearby U/S bahn stations.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very small room with poor layout with no space for luggage
- Edward (8/5): Happy customer - Nice and clean. Only stayed for 1 night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It was very convenient. The train to downtown was a couple minutes walk.
- Coralie (10/5): - This is a clean quiet hotel very close to transport so I would happily have stayed longer if it had been possible. The price is modest compared to other hotels. A bakery for a delicious breakfast is next door.
- Ay (10/5): - It was good
Actually there is this guy there that helped me with almost everything
I am sure I’ll come again
- August (8/5): Practical and Good Value. - The hotel is good for the price paid and for short term stay. The room and bath/toilet are quite small but serve their purpose. It was clean and quiet during our stay.
Check-in was easy and parking fee was reasonable. Parking was underground, safe and well lit. It seems most Letomotel is next to Winner backery which is excellent choice for breakfast and coffee.
- Brendan (10/5): - Basic hotel but clean and modern hotel right by Moosach station. It had air conditioning and despite being across from the station, we could not hear any noise from it. The bed is comfortable too.
- Don D (8/5): I will recommend - basic motel from the indoor/outdoor carpet in the halls and in the room. Comfortable beds and good shower. We've heard of hotels that place a chocolate on the pillow this hotel leaves a small bag of gummies... we weren't sure how to take it, but it made us smile. Nice to have underground parking (extra 10 euro/night)
- Verified traveler (10/5): We recommand - Perfect! Very clean! We loved it. Public transportations are in front (subway, train, tram and bus). Few coffee shops around for your breakfast as well as a little shopping mall. We highly recommand!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good Place good location - the place was nice and clean and the staff was very helpful
- Greg (8/5): - Nice quiet hotel next to all forms of transit and restaurants. The room was tiny but comfortable.
- ian (10/5): Tiny and clean - Close to the train station so easy to get into two too see the sights.
Room was sufficient for space, comfortable, but minimalistic.
Good value. But absolutely no frills.
- nicki (10/5): - Staff was more than just friendly - excelled infrastructure around (shopping, restaurants) - perfect transportation (S-Bahn, Subway, Bus)
- David (8/5): Reasonable budget hotel - The room had a really strange door on the shower room / toilet, where only one of the rooms could be closed off at the same time.
The bedroom was also a little small.
However the location was good for the train station, the hotel was clean and tidy.
They don't seem to do breakfast and suggested that we used the bakery next door.
- Bert (10/5): Nice budget hotel adjacent to U- and S-Bahn stop. - Walk out of the hotel, hop on the train, and be downtown in 15 minutes. As noted by others, the room was tiny but functional: think cruise ship cabin. Very clean, and staff were friendly and helpful.
- Jay (10/5): Convenient hotel, near the bus, tram and train - Great hotel, near everything, the train is right there a block away, the Orange U3 line takes you to the downtown Munich area and the S1 blue line takes you to the airport, clean comfortable rooms, I would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Wi fi poor.Good transport right at hotel good bakery right next door and few shops nearby.Would stay here again when in Munich
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good for the price but... - The motel is actually pretty decent. Rooms are very clean and attractive but I really struggled with the weak air conditioning. Finally the staff moved me from the 3rd floor to the first. That helped but apparently European air conditioning is designed to produce cool air not cold air. Also the WI-FI was sometimes weak and would disconnect. Staff was very friendly and helpful when they could be. Location, though about 5-7 miles from center city, is well located. The trolley conveniently gets you to center city within 10-15 minutes for about $6.00 for an all day city transportation ticket. Resturants, cafes and even two grocery stores are all within 2 minute walks from the motel. And if you are headed to the airport after your stay the train to the airport is also a 2 minute walk.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Overnight hotel before flight - Hotel room is clean, comfortable and affordable. Will definitely recommend.
- P (2/5): - It was so hot in our room, I couldn’t stop sweating. Then we opened the door to let in some air and got mosquito bitten. And the WiFi didn’t work. The rooms have no phones. It was awful.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Basic, comfortable, clean and with excellent transport links to the centre
- Isabella (10/5): Good choice for short stay. - Nice staff very polite. The room was too warm but we were lucky not come in the summer. Convenient location. Airport S1 directly access in 40min which is good if you hate transit.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - My sunglassess were stolen. And I wish the loud Train station was mentioned here!
- Olivia (8/5): Great location for a city break. - Fantastic location - can be downtown in the city centre within 15mins. Literally on the train tracks which may be annoying if you don't like the occasional train noise. Hotel was so clean and so comfortable despite a small room.
- MUAMMAR BASHEER YASIR (8/5): Nice for 3 days - Nice location, near an olympic village and BMW factory, access to city center is easy,
Near you an excellent supermarket named Aldi
- adrian (10/5): close to train, bus amd subway - Easy access to every point in the city, 2 minute walk to all transportation locations, super market 2 minutes away, several great bakeries next door to Leto. Very convenient location for everything you need. The laundry is 5 minutes away if walking.
- Krittima (4/5): Good location with racist receptionist - We arrived at the hotel around 2.15pm and saw a couple was checking in and given the room so we waited for our turn. When the couple left, the reception lady told us that our room hasn’t ready and informed us that the check in time is 3pm so we sat down at the lobby opposite the counter and waited for 20 minutes and another group of 6 people arrived. They were able to check in and all given the room while we were made to sit there and wait. After the 6 of them checked in and left which was around 2.50pm, my boyfriend asked if our room is ready yet and the answer is “no” and not just that, the reception lady remained us for the 2nd time that the check in time is “3pm” Well, if the check in tim is at3 why the people who came earlier and even after us got checked in and given the room while us ( 2 ASIAN ) were made to sit at the lobby and waite for almost an hour. So I asked if she could switch us to the room that already made and she said “she can’t”? We have been traveling to many places and never once experienced such a miss treated and racist against us like this. If you are an Asian, I would seriously not recommend this hotel to you. I wrote this complaint not because we were given the room before the check in time, we were ok to wait but it is not ok when we were made to wait and the other (German speakers) who came earlier and even after us got checked in right in front of our eyes. It was such an uncomfortable and ruined it all our experience in Germany. Not coming back!
- Ana (8/5): Small But Clean - Room was very small, but all we needed. Facility was clean and that is what matters. The location of the hotel is out of town, meaning you will spend more time on the train, but the train stop is so close it worked fine. Overall it was a great place to save money while staying in Munich.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good LetoHotel stay - A very clean, modern and well located hotel near to public transportation and restaurants. Not ideal for car parking unless you pay for the hotel's parking. The quality standard and size of rooms was good and expected for this type of property. Good value overall. Also good value breakfast available next door though it would be better if there were more than one option. The morning receptionist was very friendly and extremely helpful. The afternoon and evening receptionist let the hotel down and should reconsider whether he should work with the public.
- Terry (10/5): perfect - Clean and comfortable,Very convenient for transport every tram ,train and bus literally on your doorstep.Would definitely recommend.
- Eden (8/5): - Everything was fine. But impossible to find street parking at night. Not ideal for people with rental cars.
- halit (8/5): Good location - Good and cheap hotel location is very good subway - tram - bus station front of the hotel and 2 supermarket near iş the hotel
- Murad (6/5): - It was a 3 days stay, and overall services vs the rent price was never worthed.
There is lot more room to do better. Rooms are too little for twin beds.
- Stacey (4/5): Big mistake to stay here. Only location is good - Booked 2 rooms as separate bookings so I could clearly select double bed in one and twin beds in the other. They gave us both rooms with double beds and did not want to help correct situation. We checked in and went to dinner, came back to an extremely stinking room that smelled like sewage. We were then given a different room (again double bed), 2 floors above our other room, when whole point was we all good be together. I spent another 30 minutes moving stuff with no help from staff.
In addition, bathroom doors do not lock and is a shared sliding door so weird in family situation with kids.
- Wichittra (8/5): Great location and value for money - The hotel was in a good location, close to metro, supermarket.
- Richard (10/5): Very Clean, Comfortable, Well-situated Hotel. - Very Clean, Comfortable, Well-situated Hotel. Business style smaller rooms but very comfortable.. Nice Bakery for Coffee and Croissants right next door, restaurants close by. Right off the S1 train that runs from downtown to the airport.
- Jake (8/5): Nice condition and rooms are very affordable. - Right off S1 train so easy to get to airport. It does end up being a 11 euro train ride from the airport since it crosses into 4 zones, but only takes about 30 minutes, one way. Rooms are nice and restaurants and grocery stores close by. Staff nice and good for a night or two. Only complaint is the bed was soft in places and heater was not keeping the room very warm. I would stay there again and the rates were very nice on Orbitz. Thanks.
- Cecilia (10/5): Ideal for us. - Just what we needed- clean, comfortable , well-priced accommodation with great transport links.
- keith (10/5): Good area - Good areas handy for train to airport , tram to centre and also a good bus service , Frendly bats close by
- Patrick (8/5): Efficient, quiet hotel next to transit. - Good deal. Good location. Not sexy but very convenient
- Subrata (6/5): - Check in and check out was simple but no flexibility of checking out after 11am. The room size also very small and a shared door for WC and the shower something I never seen a hotel before.
- Susanna (10/5): Great area, great value! - Beautiful little hotel in a beautiful neighborhood, just next to a train depot, but very quiet (and tiny) rooms. Unfortunately, not to many amenities in the area within walking distance. Found a few nice local restaurants, and a bakery right next door, but if you want more you'll need a cab.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Hotel - Great location clean near the train good price. Loved the bakery next door. Value
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice Budget Hotel - Nice budget hotel on the train line. The room was very small but wasn't a big deal since we were never in the room except to sleep. Nice shower. Just beware that the toilet and shower are in two separate rooms with one door that slides between them so you can only have privacy in one or the other at any given time. No breakfast here but there is a good bakery right next door. The location on the train line is very good.
- Michael (6/5): Little Leto - Very small room located on the train line. It served the purpose but wouldn't stay again, I prefer to be closer to city centre but left booking a bit too late. Clean room and friendly staff
- Paul (6/5): Functional Hotel near train station and airport - Great location for accessing the airport. Reasonably priced for Munich and train station is just beside the Hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room is very small but functional. I felt I was back living in the box room as a child. I had breakfast in the cafe next door. If you're only staying in Munich for a couple of nights I would get a hotel more central.
