- Nicolas (10/5): Muy comodo, vistas inmejorables. Me permitió desconectarme bastante. Muy recomendado.

- Paulina (10/5): Recomiendo totalmente - Todo En general todo bien
- Chies (3/5): Estressante e decepcionante - A vista do quarto para o lago é bem bonita e o tamanho do quarto é bom.

- Eustaquio (9/5): -
- Marcelo (5/5): - Limpeza ok
Cama ok
Café da não não não ruim. Fraco demais .
Pão x Pão x bolachas x bolos. Café da manhã muitoooo ruim.
Pão/pao/ pão bolachas/ biscoito/ rolo
Carboidratos puro o tempo inteiro , ovos gordurosos.
- Cristiano (10/5): - Cortesia e acolhimento.
- María (7/5): Good -
- Cassie (10/5): Fabulous views, location and staff :) - Location, the breakfast, amazing views from our room and the staff were so friendly. The owners couldn’t do enough for us :) They helped us by storing a bag as we completed a hike, helping us turn the heat down in our room and arranging an early breakfast. Absolutely exceptional place! Nothing, everything was great.
- Jan (2/5): What a ripoff - It was relatively clean. Too expensive for what you get. In particular because the host commits borderline fraud by charging black/blue market rates when converting dollars to peso and gets angry when you mention it.
In addition, you cannot enter the hotel by yourself but you must always (!) ring and wait to be let in. The breakfast is mediocre at best. The rooms are a bit dated and the beds only semi comfortable.
- Jackie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (10/5): Friendly staff, great breakfast comfortable stay - They had a large garage space to store our bicycles and took care of disposing our boxes. The staff was super friendly and helped us non Spanish speaking travelers navigate the city
- Biagini (10/5): Exceptional -
- Per (10/5): Exceptional - Clean rooms and good location.
Very good service from the ladies in the reception. Thank you! Nothing.
- Rogerio (8/5): Very good -
- Maria (10/5): - Owners were great! Breakfast incredible!
- Ray (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast very good. Spectacular views . Clean, quiet, helpful friendly staff. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in Bariloche.
- Sarah (9/5): A lovely cosy hotel with charming hosts and great breakfast - The most wonderful welcome, really friendly hosts and lovely breakfast Nothing
- Vafa (10/5): Pleasant stay in Bariloche - The view from the hotel, the couple who run the hotel, the breakfast. Ask the owner for recommendations on where to find good steak in Bariloche.
- Aviad (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast is excellent. The view of the lake is beautiful
The room is spacious The wifi sometimes was slow in the room and in general the wifi can be better.
The hotel is locked all the time and you have to ring the bell to get in (would be nice if there was a key for the
guests)
They wouldn't let us park the car in the hotel before we
checked in (we had to park it somewhere to check in)
We still gave the hotel a 10 beacuse it's good value for money
- Monica (8/5): Very good -
- Mateo (9/5): Superb - Location and view
- Hernan (10/5): welcoming and relaxed staff and style - 4 blocks from food-drink facilities / 10' away from civic centre & downtown / cozy / lots of sunlight
- Mina (9/5): Superb - Warm helpful staff
- Judith (9/5): Nice mid range hotel in the downtown area - Close to the restaurants and to the transport to Pampa Linda. Staff welcoming and accommodating
- Angela (8/5): Very good - Friendly host. Great breakfast. Wonderful view. Would definitely recommend. Nice homey hotel!! The rooms were very hot! Faulty heating system? Would be nice if there was a kettle to make tea or coffee in the rooms.
- Ariel (7/5): Good - The hotel and room are gorgeous, beautiful view, very comfortable, clean, great size, definitely worth to stay there A couple owns the hotel. We first spoke with the man, was if not the worst service I ever got, very close to it (he insulted us and was very disrespectful). His wife had to intervene to avoid a conflict. She was extremely nice, but the whole first part definitely ruined our stay there.
- Jean (6/5): Pleasant -
- Itay (10/5): Exceptional - I think it is a very good hotel The location is close to the downtown but you need to walk uphill to get to the hotel.
- Harold (9/5): excellent service. - clean and comfortable with excellent hosts nothing I can think of.
- vickirae2017 (10/5): Excellent Value - Spectacular views from our 2nd floor room. Spotlessly clean and the host and hostess are super friendly and helpful. Feels much more than 3*. Really good value - and a relaxed personalised breakfast. Easy access for walking everywhere in the centre.
- Don (9/5): Comfortable and well appointed. A 10 minute walk to city center. the breakfast was great -
- Nicolas (9/5): everything was great, the manager is very nice and helpful - great breakfast wifi can be better
- Hugo Ernesto (10/5): - Calidad en atención y dedicación personal .
Execelentes días de descanso
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Indeed superb view. Simple, nice room. Very nice shower. Bed ok, not very comfy. Breakfast extensive, however more about quantity than quality.
In general, quite expensive for what you get. The thing that bothered me the most was the exchange rate the owner uses. It’s a very unreasonable rate comparing the actual exchange rate. We paid almost 20% more than Expedia mentioned. Maybe Expedia should state the extra cost more explicitly. Still, this was het only hotel in Argentina during our trip that used such a unreasonable exchange rate.
- mariusmariu (4/5): Un exeptable - Unpleasant experience in a View hotel. Overall, the hotel is well located, not far from the city center. The hotel is weighty and cozy.
It looks like a family business. During our stay, I met two male and female regular employees. Only a woman's behaviour and support made our stay at the hotel more enjoyable.
For the first time in my experience had un exeptable and unpleasant welcome when we arrived. We traveling a lot around the world with my wife, but we have never experienced the discriminatory experiences we had at this hotel. We were met by a man of great age. I don't understand how such people can run a business.
Since we did not speak Spanish, I asked politely if here is other person who speaks English and can assist with translation to clarify, when we were asked to pay a separate fee, because everything was paid in advance and there was no mentioned of a separate local payment on the hotel website. As a result, the conversation left a very unpleasant experience, when a gentleman of honorable age made us realize you were not speaking Spanish then this place is not for you. The man also made it clear that he was Argentinean and did not have to speak English. Google translator is available in our days, but the guy didn't bother to use it either.
Something very strange seems to be the internal rules that written no food or drink can be taken to the hotel. Nowhere have I heard it.
If you are a smoker you will have difficulties. They are locking main door constantly and each time you going for cigarette the gentleman looks at you like enemy. No bins outside the hotel where you can through your cigarette buts. We collected them in one corner and on the way to town centre each time through them in the nearest bin.
You feel like in the prison at the View hotel.
Cannot recommend this hotel.
- kingkitse (8/5): Wow! - Excellent view and perfect central location. Close to some nice brewpubs.
Hotel has a good lounge and terras to enjoy view on the lale while enjoying a glass of Patagonian wine. Good!
Has secured parking for USD7.
The elevator is abit noisy.
- moshecohen22 (10/5): Excellent hotel - We had a great experience sleeping there. The staff is very nice and helpful. Best view, good location. The breakfast is delicious and has good variety of food. Please note that the hotel is located up above the center, on the hill.
- A8707MUmarinap (2/5): Nightmare in the middle of nowhere - Anyone on vacation is looking for having fun and peace of mind. When your stay in a hotel begins in a troubled manner, you can be sure that the peace of mind you are looking for exists no more. That was exactly what happened to me in this View Hotel. They sell the hotel as a small boutique lodge, with few rooms, what makes of it a place of warm treatment and kindness. And it is exact the opposite. I was with a friend and when we arrived, there was no hot water in the room. What to expect from the hostess? At least some excuses and a solution for the problem. What did she do? Simply said that she could not do nothing and if I wanted I could leave the hotel and would have to wait for a devolution in my credit card. It is a completely absurd situation. The other day I found out that this is a recurring problem in the hotel, because as their hot water reservoir is small, there is no hot water at night, when most of the guests have already had their baths. The things got worse though. Some days later the manager came to threat me, literally saying that I could be forced to leave the hotel being hit by him and his employees. We were two girls, alone, in the middle of a freezing Patagonia, and got scared about everything that was happening. Another thing to point out is the lack of cleanliness. The bathroom was filthy, with dirty spread through the bathtub and the toilet, as you can see in the pictures. We couldn’t believe and what was to be joyful vacations turned out to be a nightmare. I don’t recommend this hotel, especially if you are a girl and are alone. The manager is scaring and the staff very impolite. They do not care if you are a customer. They do not give a damn for their guests.
- Dauro (10/5): - Hotel charmoso, bem localizado , vista deslumbrante, atendimento superou as expectativas, café da manhã personalizado incluindo torradas feitas na hora, docinhos , churros, bombons entre outros mimos .
- RoxLima (2/5): Airline strike and no refund - I planned a trip to Bariloche, went to the airport very early in the morning and after having us waiting for more than two hours the airline finally indicated there was an strike and all flights were cancelled. Contacted booking and let them know the situation so they could contact the hotel based on the airline strike. Got the answer that they couldn't discuss with the property and suggested me to contact them directly. Sent an email with all the info, and no answer whatsoever. The day after the news reported the airline strike. The hotel didn't even bother to answer. I will understand if I missed my flight or changed my plans but it was force majeure. Something that I am sure is that I will never stay at this hotel whenever I'll be in Bariloche.
- HeidiKenton (10/5): Very Happy - Hotel has a great location in Bariloche. Just a couple blocks from most of the restaurants on a quiet street.
Room had a gorgeous view of the lake. King size bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was small, but modern and very clean.
The breakfast was absolutely amazing!! Pastries and treats as far as the eye could see. Several egg, meat, cheese items. Then when you sat down, several hot items and a beautiful dessert were delivered. Couldn't believe this spread was offered every day!
The lady who helped us, and might have been the owner, was so friendly and kind. Offered restaurant advice, told us where to get laundry done, provided vegetarian breakfast items, and just made us feel welcome.
I noticed some other reviews complaining about having to ring the doorbell for entry & departure and the parking lot. I don't know why they would complain, as the wait for the entry was barely a few seconds, any time of day. The parking lot was small, but since you use it just during the night it wasn't a problem for us.
We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked another night on the end of our trip before flying back to Buenos Aires.
- TaldoraTraveler (6/5): Would not stay again - I stayed for 5 nights on business. I'll stick to the facts. The hotel sits at the juncture of 2 streets that get occasional noisy traffic all through the night that could be heard in both of the rooms I stayed in. The front doorbell was also so loud in the first room that I was given that changed rooms after the first night. (Even though I had specifically asked for a quiet room.)
Both rooms were small- less than approx 20 sq m. The bathroom door was not even able to open more than 70% in the second, very small bathroom. The curtains are not full block out. Both rooms were tired- with bad marking on the carpet and in the bath of the second room. Beds are firm but had several good pillow choices. Wifi kept dropping out unexpectedly.
But the main reasons that I would not stay again are the "no food or beverages" in the room policy and the distance from Mitre. Both of these got very tiring after a few days.
I wish that the Alpenglow had not been closed for the off-season....
- LemonGingerLemon (10/5): Great option in Bariloche! - Nice hotel in Bariloche. Great service, nice views, comfortable rooms, great and varied breakfast... It is not in the center but it's a short walk to restaurants and the city center. Overall a great option to stay in Bariloche.
- pini30 (8/5): Lake View and Wonderful Breakfast - Small hotel near downtown, walking distance from the principal restaurants and bars. The room has a beatiful lake view, comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. The staff was really warm and helpfull, and breakfast was everything we expected from the reviews.
- 354heidin (6/5): Great view, luxury bathroom, average service - The best view in all of Bariloche and a quick 5 minute walk to center. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms were luxurious. Breakfast had a good spread. Whenever we asked the staff for recommendations or to call a taxi, it felt like we were bothering them to answer our questions. Also checkout is extremely early-10:30!! Wifi was great in all of the rooms. It was also annoying to ring s doorbell to be let into the hotel everytime. They don't give out keys to enter on your own. The facility is great, staff just little unfriendly.
- HeliosNorth (6/5): Unwelcome Start - After being transported from Villa la Angostura to this hotel, which was chosen by our travel company as part of a private package tour, we were not given a nice welcome when we arrived in the late morning. This was supposedly all arranged, but the front desk person was not happy and expressed it to our guide in front of us. At first we were told that they would not even store our baggage while we walked around town, but then relented and let us put it under the stairs behind the desk. In the end, a gentleman arrived and suddenly a room materialized that was actually ready. Since it was all in Spanish, we did not understand everything, but it did not leave us with a warm feeling. Even if there was some misunderstanding between the tour operator and the hotel, it should not have been hashed out in such a negative way in front of guests. The room itself, although on the small side, was very tastefully appointed. We had a corner room, which was good in that we had nice views, but the sun made it very hot during the afternoon. We opened the windows as well as we could, but the drapes got in the way and there were no fly screens. The room quickly had loads of flies! We had no food, so we are not sure the reason for so many flies in November as we had not seen them anywhere else during a month of travel nor did we see them like that again, and we were not on a ground floor. The breakfast time was not early enough for us to enjoy before we were set to be picked up for the ride to the lake crossing port, but we were able to access some coffee and tea. While we had that, some food began to come out, so we were able to have some pastries. We stayed in two other accommodations while in and out of Bariloche, and we would frankly stay in either of them instead of this hotel when we return.
- MarleyMe77 (8/5): Friendly hosts with great views - Loved this little hotel in a quiet neighborhood, away from the city center. The owners were very nice, and made us feel at home. The rooms have great views of the lake and Bariloche. It is just a short walk into town and good restaurants. There is a small garage to park your car, since neighborhood parking looks a bit challenging. The hotel seems to get mostly European and South American travelers. The breakfast in the lounge in the morning was your standard Argentine breakfast selections, all nicely done. A very enjoyable place to stay in Bariloche.
- kimz177 (6/5): Good breakfast, quiet, no AC - +: very good breakfast and free parking. It is not in the centre, so quiet and good restaurants are just a 5 min walk away. The owner gave us some good tips on where to eat. Nice view over the lake.
-: there is no AC, so the room can be hot. There are cameras in the hotel and they have quite some house rules, which we thought was a bit strange. For instance that you cannot bring your own food or drinks. For us that is not possible, since we like to hike and always carry water and nuts etc. with us.
- 301dafnag (10/5): Beautiful hotel, amazing hospitality - Stay there!
Carlos, the manager, was extremely sweet and helpful! He helped us rent a car, showed us where to find a vegetarian restaurant, gave us maps and explained how to get to all the places we wanted, and all with a big smile, some English and Google translate ;)
The hotel is new, spotlessly clean, with comfortable size rooms, and modern design.
The best about the hotel might just be the amazing breakfast, with large variety that changes every single day! By far the best breakfast I had in Argentina.
Great location - very quiet yet only 5 minutes walk from the city center (up hill, so be prepared for a little climb) and close to many restaurants, laundry, banks etc. We had a beautiful view on the lake from our room.
- Yadi77 (8/5): Quaint and lovely. Great stay! - ROOM: Our room on the 2nd floor was small-ish, but beautifully appointed and exceptionally clean. It had a safe (w/key), mini-fridge and a small flatscreen TV. Bed was a bit hard, but comfortable, and we just loved the bed sheets because they felt nice and cool, like pressed cotton percale. And of course, as everyone has mentioned, the room had a huge window with the most AMAZING view of Lake Nahuel Huapi and the town of Bariloche.
STAFF: Having arrived in the midst of a heat wave, and the rooms not having A/C, our first night was a bit uncomfortable. However, the following day when we returned from our tour, we noticed that the managers had set up a brand new floor fan in the room. We thought this was very telling of how attentive the managers -- a couple from Bs. Aires-- were, and how much they cared about their guests' experience. Throughout our 3-day stay, we had a chance to sit and chat with them a few times and they were wonderful people.
HOTEL: The lobby, bar, lounge and breakfast/cafe areas were also beautiful with an even better view of the lake and town. While the bar was pretty cool (and pretty well stocked!), the breakfast was downright fantastic, with coffee, tea, juice, milk, assorted cereals, pastries and desserts, rolls, mini sandwiches (cold and hot-pressed), mini pizzettes, meats and cheeses, fresh fruit, preserves... everything was prepared that morning and delicious!
LOCATION: View Hotel is not on the main area where most hotels are located, and instead sits a little higher on a hill, closer to what appeared to be a nice, quiet neighborhood. We were within walking distance from everything and anything, including wine bars, tea/coffee houses, restaurants, breweries, shops, grocery stores, bus stops, theater, main plazas, etc.
MISC: A couple of things to bear in mind,: 1) Wi-Fi was a bit spotty sometimes, which is not a big issue unless you are traveling for business; 2) We booked our stay through Booking.com and later attempted to confirm details directly via email, but didn't receive a response. It wasn't until we used Booking as an intermediary that they responded, so this was a bit frustrating, but not a deal-breaker; 3) As a boutique hotel, doors lock when you leave and you do need to be 'let in' by the managers every time you return back. They have hotel guidelines, one of which suggests that there is a curfew, so all guests are expected to be in the hotel by a certain time at night (can't remember if 11PM or 12AM). If this may be an issue for you or your party, check with the managers.
OVERALL: we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thought View Hotel offered a great experience at an exceptional value.
- Alexsas777 (8/5): Fab view - This hotel lives true to its name: the views of the lake are magnificent and uninterrapted from all of the rooms (it's only a corridor that's facing a street).
The rooms are very modern with nice beds and furniture. The breakfast is way above Argentine average. The owners seem to take great pride and care a lot about the hotel, but sometimes you feel they care about their hotel more than their guests - not in a very bad way, sometimes it's almost cute to read the never-ending list of 'rules', or to enter the building only being 'authorized' by the owners, or having to eat on plastic trays put to protect the tablecloths on the tables. If we spoke some Spanish we could probably develop a stronger bond with the owners and give the hotel 'Excellent' rating, but we have to judge by our experience.
There were a few bits and pieces that needed fixing, like missing plug in a bath, but with our non-existing Spanish, I felt a challenge of explaining that outweighed the benefits of the bath.
I think we would go back there, because of the views, good breakfast and fair prices.
- trueswissboy (10/5): Very welcoming place with amazing view - Probably one of the places in Bariloche with best Lake view. I felt very comfortable, the owners are very nice, i will definitely stay here again next time. Be aware that parts of the street down to the main road are quite steep
