Guest Reviews
- Rakan (2/5): - Once i arrived the hotel, the security advised there is no parking and he told if you doesn’t like just cancel the reservation and it was 01:30 Am.
The reception employees doesn’t answer to any calls from hotel.com agent and advised just contact them to refund the money because it’s third part agreement

- Penda (2/5): - They tried to charge $596 dollars from my account, even tho i said i was gonna pay in cash when i check in..told the lady at the reception and became argumentative.. restaurant staff and also really unprofessional “not all”
- Fadumo Mohamed (2/5): - The customer service was terrible

- Verified traveler (8/5): AC PROBLEM - I have informed the property that we'll be arriving late...but then when I reach the hotel my booking was cancelled..and hotel have offered ne the same rate online..also the AC in the room given is terrible, it doesnt get cold and in the middle of the night (5:00 morning) we transferred room....
- Haji (10/5): - Reception was good helpful
- Verified traveler (6/5): - UAE 🇦🇪 is a perfect county i love to visit always ❤
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Very disappointed especially with the staff at Front Desk. Will not book there again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Dishonest staff - We always choose non smoking room but still giving me smelly smoking room. And their excuse is they cannot stop other customer to smokr in non smoking rooms. I forgot my watch in hotel and didn't get it back. I clearly remember when i left it. But they have dishonest staff who took it.
- Bárbara (2/5): I don't recommend it to anyone - Everything in the room is old, the smell of old stuff sticks to your clothes, in the first 2 hours I killed 7 little flies, but that's not even the problem, the problem is that you hear EVERYTHING from the rooms next door, from the cell phone vibrating to acts done between a couple (if you know what I'm talking about). I asked to change rooms due to "parties" in the next room, it happened until 1 am / 2am, they told me to wait 4 hours to get another one, they called me after 4 days to find out if I still wanted to change rooms, 4 sleepless nights. They don't have consideration for the customer. To make matters worse, I always ordered the same food, on my last day, the food came differently, in two hours my body had an allergic reaction to who knows what they put in the food, I'm pregnant, I put my pregnancy on risk. That same afternoon I got my things and checked out, went to a hospital and looked for another hotel, even though I had paid for one more night. The parking is subject to available space otherwise you have to park on the streets, and you can easily crash you car inside their parking, because they don't have space enough and is a total mess. The restaurant attendants and 1 cleaning guy are very attentive, but I don't recommend it to anyone.
- Murtaza (8/5): - It was amazing, Cleaning service are good. all staff are helpfull, i have refer 3-4 friends for booking.
- AYMAN (10/5): 99% - The hotel is clean and staff are very helpful food is very good and overall cost is the best.
I recommend others to stay in Citymax hotel Sharjah
- Eman (2/5): - I am really frustrated since I found the price of this hotel is more than other agency that I booked through Hotels.com before I check in, so when I spoke with the receptionist of the hotel they told me you have to call the hotels.com for this matter. Then I checked in the hotel and I called the hotel.com and explained there was a different the in price with other agency ... the staff of hotels told that I have to speak with the hotel to cancel your booking , but unfortunately the hotel staff refused to do that because it was return in the booking online that it’s non refundable pay. By this neither hotel.com nor the hotel gave the correct answer with my problem.
Another thing, I did not enjoy staying in the room, I discovered that bed sheets did not change for 3 days, and I got itching all the time because if bed bugs and I showed to the supervisor my red skin on my arms.
The last 2 days of my staying the neighbors were very noisy and knocking the door by mistake .
Over all. The Hotel .com did not able to solve the problem with manger of the hotel and the hotel did not allowed to cancel the booking unless I have to pay all the money !
- Sharjah (6/5): - They are angry all the time no small at all
WIfi not good service not bad my room and floor no smoking but all of the room smoke and the floor
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Bad service
No parking in the parking area
The smell was so bad
I rate it 3 from 10
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Will never stay there again. Asked for a refund ro stay elsewhere and they refused.
- Surinder pal (8/5): - It is ok good as per price. Comfort
Overall good & further I will prefer this hotel
- Surinder pal (8/5): - It's okay for medium Users
- Yousaf (4/5): Worst room service ever received - Bad experience
- Iman (2/5): - They cancelled my reservation without any reason. I arrived 9.14pm from long flight and they told me your reservation is cancelled
- FERAS (2/5): THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD - THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD, smelly room, old furniture, two pieces of Carpets looks like they took them from the trash and after all of that I realize that there are bed bugs in both of the beds.
The staff were very unprofessional and never showed any signs of concerns when I told them about the bed bugs... they really don't care.
We had to leave in the middle of the night to another hotel because we don't trust them any more as there might be bed bugs in the other rooms.
When I asked them to refund me they refused to give me full refund even tough i ever stayed in the hotel for more than 10 hours and * days later they still haven't refunded me.
In my booking is chose to pay in cash but they charged my credit card through hotels.com without even taking my permission when I checked in.
Very bad experience. Pay some extra and stay somewhere else that is clean with staff that know how to treat customers right.
Just don’t stay in here.
- Husam (6/5): Not good choice to stay - Incorrect location as in the map
The staff are helpful.. bad service
The parking is not good at all .
- Shahbaz (6/5): Reasonably good - My room was on 4th floor continues noise of traffic was disturbing apart from that it’s a nice experience
- Mazhar (2/5): Very lethargic and bad service ,staff behavior ver - Very lethargic and bad service ,staff behavior very rough
- Kimberley (8/5): - Very helpful staff, Rooms very clean and comfortable. A little noise from road outside. The problem we had was the parking or lack of . Car park was very dangerous, comprised of a spiral and because of lack of parking space in each floor , security wanted us to park on the spiral, making only room for one way traffic . Hence we were forced to pay for parking on roadside nearby. Should not be advertised with parking, it’s a huge problem!
- AIMAN (6/5): - Too much noise from outside rood
Car parking isn’t enough
- Bahaa (6/5): - No parking I spent 45 minutes to find parking which is far like 10 minutes walk to the hotel
Old furniture
- Azam (10/5): Best Quality/Location Hotel With Best Best Price. - It was such a great place to stay. I am glad I stayed at CityMax Hotel.
- Michael (6/5): - Very average hotel with difficult parking garage. Okay for 1 night, otherwise not pleasing.
- mahmoud (8/5): Nice hotel - Nice clean modern 3star hotel, small rooms but clean, good wifi, food is so so, i have tried dinner twice and room service twice, comfy beds queen size, free car parking
- Zulifqar (8/5): Good clean budget hotel - Brilliant hotel, clean rooms
- vikram (8/5): City max maximum comfort ! - Very good
- Tina (6/5): Fairly ok hotel - First impressions of this hotel was good and I enjoyed the first two days. On my third day there was too much smoking which was coming into my room via the central AC unit which prompted me to request a room change.
The first room I was in was lovely, modern and clean, but the room I was moved to was not as good which led me not to extend my stay. The second room seemed like its not been used for a long time and required maintenance. The shower door didn't close properly, there was mould everywhere and the toilet itself was not very clean, I had to purchase cleaning products to make it usable.
The internet for this hotel was good and overall my stay was ok.
- BERK (2/5): Terribly bad hotel with incompetent staff - Everything was terrible, stay away from this place
- Verified traveler (2/5): Wish they were more practical - Since this hotel does not accept full payment at the time of booking on hotels.com, I had a frustrating time trying to keep my booking on the day of arrival since the time of arrival was after 6 pm. I wasted a good 90 minutes and had to provide a copy of my credit card for authorisation over email. All this while I was on my way to catch an international flight. And spending USD 10 on just calls. They made me do this run around to ensure the booking was not cancelled even though rooms were available on hotels.com at a price less than what I had booked and even after me pointing out that my company has booked more than 500 nights with them. The result is I decided not to patronise this chain anymore and for the succeeding visit of my colleagues I booked them in an apartment suite.
- AlSadi (6/5): The location close to industrial area - Good hotel and worth the price, but need more car parking.
- Mohamed (10/5): - Nice hotel
- Verified traveler (8/5): No temperature control for showers - Not able to bath, very hot water.
- Dhruv (8/5): Positive overall, except for 3 things - The staff was very courteous and willing to help anytime. Very professional. However, it is the hotel infrastructure that was inadequate. The fridge had no regulator. Any products stored on the fridge were getting rotten and they could not replace that because all the fridge were like that. The parking was too full and insufficient for the guests. They had to use the sideway to park extra cars which would create inconvenience while going in or out. Hoursekeeping would take literally 5 mins to clean and only do it superficially. I used to make my own sandwich at the table which would make it a little unclean. But because it was not a part of their SOP, they would skip on cleaning it. They need to be a bit more proactive and check the room properly if there was anything that needed cleaning. The rest of the job was done fantastically. They would make my bed and clean the bathroom really nice. WiFi, which is really important to me, was working nicely. A huge thumbs up there.
Overall a positive experience apart from the fridge, parking and housekeeping thing.
- abdul (10/5): - every thing was perfect
- Sabia (8/5): - Very good hotel for the price paid
- chico (2/5): No - The staff was not professional unhelpful
I will not recommend to any of my friends and family and my staff , it's a garbage hotel and you will not get what you pay
- Verified traveler (8/5): - service wasnt up to mark, particularly room service.
- Mary Ann (6/5): an ok hotel - It was fair
- Thapa (8/5): Good the city - If any body wants to visit to Sharga its the very good place to syay with provied all good facilities near this placess..
- sohail Rashid (8/5): Satisfactory - Very good.
- Mona (6/5): - The bed was too small and kept moving!!! And the location wasn't so great because it was located on a fast road (50mph) you could hear the cars at night which really annoyed my mother because she couldn't sleep. Very good internet wifi and good AC! The workers and receptionists were very nice too and helpful!! The prices were decent so I do recommend this hotel if you don't want to spend too much!
- Sami (10/5): Clean and close to river and markets - It was an amazing experience to discover dubai and staying at citymax Sharjah hotel, only a mile away from dubai. Would recommend to others.
- Christian (8/5): Good budget friendly hotel. Avoid restaurant. - The hotel is clean and the staff helpful. The main street outside can be loud throughout the night. The breakfast is very good and plentiful. However it must be suggested to go elsewhere for lunch and dinner. The restaurant in the hotel is very, very expensive when compared to the abundance of restaurants in the area which also provide a better, regional cuisine. A coffee at the hotel's restaurant (12 AED) will net you a main course (10 AED) plus drink (2 AED) at another restaurant.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not going back there again - The bathroom was mouldy, especially the shower area, which was also rusty and not properly waterproofed. Water was only lukewarm despite us raising our concerns. Though our room was non-smoking, we could still smell smoke in our room, probably coming from the vents or the corridor. They also painted the corridor walls while we were there, so the smell would come in too. The rooms arent soundproof, so we can hear what's going on in the corridor and hear the tv from next door. Hotel meals were also pretty pricey so we ended up buying groceries or eating out. Room service didnt have related items on their menu we wanted. Plus point was that some of the hotel staff were respectful & helpful.
- Shady (8/5): The hotel is very good in general - Nice
- AHAMED (6/5): - Ok good
- Jayarajan (10/5): Hassle free. - Cool and nice place to stay for business travelers. Hassle free. Easy Accessibility all modes of travel, bus and taxis
- Osman (2/5): No good at all - Service bad small everything room noise to much groups
- Verified traveler (4/5): Huge, stressfull loss of time due to wrong location - This hotel would have deserved good rating, unfortunately the location on google maps and booking website is completely wrong. I booked with with hope of great view over the bay, which at the end was impossible as the location is very different. The search for the hotel took 2 extra hours of my life that could have been spend differently, especially as I just arrived to Dubai airport hoping for nice rest after demanding trip. After finally finding the hotel with help of many different people, the stuff on the reception apologize and said they are aware of wrong location, however made no attempt to compensate me for this stressful loss of time. On top of that, if the the staff is aware of such a crucial mistake, they should always send email after each booking informing their clients about this fact till the moment this issue is fixed. Many people rely on GPS and google maps to find locations on travels, having such a wrong location in a place like Sharjah, which is super busy with traffic jams and endless flow of small one way streets is essential. The room itself was fine, clean with great hot strong shower.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Clean hotel but not to much parking - Was nice but problem there parking they don't have to much parking
- Verified traveler (6/5): It is OK only - I liked the hotel and the room, but the problem is that they charge for everything which all hotels in the whole world provide for free, examples: AED 10 for ice bucket, AED 10 or 8 for slippers. they do not trust customers so you can not order anything against your total room bill, you have to pay on the spot if you would like to order any food items, very bad policy.
- Manar (2/5): Very Bad experience - The room service is really poor, reception seems to be lost , I got a call to check out when my reservation is for one more day . They gave us one towel and we had to ask for one more every day ! Car parking is a real Drama there !
- ALEX W. (4/5): Business trip - I'm non smoker but my room was badly smoking smelling from previous guests. There was no toilet paper roll and made request but never supply.
- Adekunle (6/5): Average comfort. - Very great value for money.
The hotel room is very neat.
Located in an industrial area so there is nothing to do around.
You need to pay for your stay only during check-in.
- Eshak (10/5): - It was a very nice hotel
- Abu Wadee (6/5): Good hotel but poor services - Need to improve room services but recommended for married couples who need privacy.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very good to stay in this hotel in this room rent. Rooms are little bit small but good and clean. Location is very good. A little problem with car parking.
- Cyrus (6/5): Idia - It is very hard to go to Dubai, spend too much time and money if you don't have your own car.
Have a transportation from airport and tour to city's interesting areas.
- Wamiq (4/5): Avoid if possible - Hotel room was not good as the twin room beds were very small. Bathroom shower tray was leaking which caused the bathroom floor to flood. Room over looks a flyover which is always busy and causes constant noise problem.
- Muhammad Moin ud din (8/5): Better Experience - My stay at the hotel was very comfortable, affordable, and equipped with pleasant amenities. And behavior of staff was excellent. If someone visiting Sharjah, Ajman or even Dubai. I will recommend the Citymax Sharjah, sometimes traffic jam makes one irritating towards Dubai or on getting back during offices closing hour.
Hotel situated near due to traffic bit noisy rooms are sound proof.
- Jojy (2/5): Cant recommend anyone, - Worst Experience I ever had on my International travel, and after paying the charges also we didnt stay there at night. we had to find a friends home to stay... I will not forget this visit experience to UAE...
- MEDLINE (8/5): Highyway Hotel - It was fantastic, I had lots of privacy, very quiet..only problem is the bed is a little too small.
