- Zhenquan (1/5): No invoice can be given. Be careful! - I booked this hotel and paid. But booking and the hotel refused to provide the invoice. Hotel said booking should do that, and booking said that the hotel should provide it. I am trapped here several weeks. Many calls, messages with booking and the hotel, still no solution. They are playing the football with the guest. It is really bad experience.

- Wing Yee (4/5): I visited Istanbul more than 10 times & stayed in diff hotels. It's my worse experience I ever had - Staff service is poor. First, when I check in in early morning. Fully understood check-in time should be in the afternoon. When I ask any room available when checking in. The answer was "the hotel room was fully booked. No room available". I said, I'm not asking for early check-in for free, I can pay for it. So, the staff willing to check again and he found a room within 10 second. I wondering why he doesn't tell me the room available but need to pay for it.
When I check out, the staff ask me to pay for mini bar. I said I didn't use anything during my stay. The staff talk with her senior in Turkish (I don't understand what she said) and then reply me "that's okay" (she makes me feel I used mini bar but not willing to pay and then she waive the charge. I ask "what do you mean of that's okay" I didn't use anything so I decline to pay. Well, after that, I tell another staff that I need to call UBER and show her the destination. She help me to input the destination in UBER app. OMG, the address is wrong, finally, UBER driver took me to wrong place!!!

- Roman (8/5): Great location and spacious rooms – but breakfast needs serious improvement - This was our second stay at the hotel, and overall we were happy to return. We travelled by car, and for that – the location couldn’t be better. Everything we needed was just a short drive away, and getting around was super easy.
The rooms are very spacious – even with several large suitcases, there was plenty of space to open them all and still walk around comfortably.
Staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay, which we really appreciated. A couple of things really need attention. In both our stays, the bathroom had no working power socket. There was one built into the wall-mounted hairdryer, but unfortunately, it didn’t work.
The biggest downside for us was breakfast. The selection was extremely limited, and unfortunately, not much of it was enjoyable. For us, it was one of the weakest hotel breakfasts we’ve ever had.
Drinks weren’t much better – the hot water kettle was in poor condition, with the plastic on the spout badly scratched. It didn’t feel safe to use in its condition, given it heats up.
We do like this hotel and will likely come back again. But we hope the breakfast experience improves

Normally, white cheese needs to be soaked in water for at least 12 hours to remove the salt. I asked the staff about this. "We wash it. We don't soak it in water" she said.
I asked her; "How do you do it at home? Do you wash the feta cheese or do you soak it?"
"We soak it at home." she replied.

Sadece gece yatmak için odamıza girip sabah kahvaltıdan sonra otelden ayrıldık. Bu amaç için bu oteli tercih etmiştim. Kesinliklik fiyatını fazlası ile hak eden bir otel. Çok temiz , sessiz. Çalışanlar oldukça güler yüzlü. Kahvaltı abartılı değil ama fazlası ile yeterli ve lezzetli.yataklar ve yastık da oldukça rahattı. Yine gezi amaçlı İstanbul’a gelecek olsam tereddütsüz burada kalırım.

Nonostante io affermassi di aver prenotato una sola stanza per 3 notti mi hanno detto che l’hotel era obbligato ad addebitarmi 2 camere per la stessa notte poiché vi erano due prenotazioni per lo stesso periodo. La cosa che più mi ha colpito è stata la malfidenza del personale e il totale rifiuto di aiutarmi. Avrebbero potuto sentire expédia o hôtels e verificare l’errore di sistema. Sono rimasta ad Istanbul per più giorni ma ho cambiato hotel e non tornerò mai più all’ holiday Inn Altunizade Istanbul

- Sarah (6/5): Pleasant - Friendly staff - they were really helpful, within 10 minutes walk of a metro station, shopping mall with lots of restaurants, and close to my companies office so I could walk to work. It was also quiet (with the windows closed) and the bed, despite feeling hard at first, was surprisingly comfortable and I slept well. The room smelled of smoke - as a non-smoker this is quite unpleasant. There were also not many facilities in the hotel but its close to amenities so this did not bother me. I just used it for sleeping.

- Yasin Safa (10/5): - Das Hotel hat ein eigenes Parkhaus inkl. einen Einparkservice durch die Mitarbeiter. Die Metrostation Baglarbaşı ist zu Fuß in 6-7 Minuten erreichbar. Von dort aus kann man in jede Ecke von İstanbul hinfahren.
Generell sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter in der Einrichtung. Die Reinigungskraft im 2. Stock hat uns sehr geholfen und Ihre Arbeit sehr gut gemacht.

- Ying (4/5): In summary, we believe the hotel falls well below the standard caliber of Holiday Inn. - Unfortunately, we experienced several issues during our stay that greatly impacted our experience during our stay from April 24 to 28, 2024. We booked a double room with a sofa couch. When we arrive the room, we did not see no a sofa couch, and we mentioned that this was not the room we booked. The clerk passed the phone to me to talk to the hotel manager. The manager spoke to me on the phone saying that the hotel was full and that was the only room available for that nine. It seemed to us that the manager lied, as the hotel was quiet and we did not see much traffic at the lobby, in the elevator, and hallway. Also, at the breakfast in the following morning, there were about only 20 people eating breakfast.
• Internet did not work for at least a couple of hours and signal was week for the rest of our stay.
• The Kettle did not work (please see the video). Asked to change the kettle on the 26th morning before we went out. Did not change the kettle in the evening when we came back to the hotel.
• Air conditioning is not working.
• Staff’s English was poor; it took a long time to checking in.
• When we request to change the kettle (not working see the video). It never got changed.
• The breakfast provided was exactly the same (potato wedge, scramble egg, and tomato sausage, etc.) for three days in a row. They could have changed to hash brown, omelet, or fried sausage, instead of the same format every day. We hope that you will take our feedback into consideration and make necessary.
• At the checking out (early morning), we were not able to get the receipt, and we have to text the hotel the day after to get the receipt.

I won't recommend it - I like the members of the staff and how friendly and polite they are The hotel lacks essential amenities, particularly the gym, which is poorly equipped and challenging to locate without proper signage. The breakfast offerings are notably subpar, with quality comparable to, if not worse than, alternatives found in hospitals.
Despite specifying a room away from the lift and free from dust due to allergies, we were assigned a room situated between two lifts, and opening the window exposed us to constant dust from a nearby construction site. The pervasive smell of smoke in both the room and the hotel left me with a secondhand smoker's cough, despite being a non-smoker. The overall experience was highly unpleasant.
Moreover, the room was not cleaned throughout our stay, and they neglected to replenish toilet rolls despite them being depleted. The cost of the stay is disproportionately high, especially when compared to Mercure hotels, which boast superior facilities such as a gym, swimming pool, sauna, steam rooms, along with more appealing rooms, better breakfast options, and equally friendly staff.
In conclusion, I cannot recommend staying at the Holiday Inn Express hotel, as the overall experience falls significantly short of expectations, especially when there are more satisfactory alternatives like Mercure hotels available.

They didn’t replenish their yogurt fruit pots for 8 days! Also the orange squash was often watered down too much.
Staff were kind to honour my request to order takeout food for me, but suspiciously expensive when I had to pay for it. The woman at the counter helped herself to a tip from my cash without permission. Soon figured out how to buy the essentials from the local grocers (check out BIM!) and was able to budget better.

Beyond expectations… My friends room was not booked as per our booking. We have to argue to change the room. We booked 3 rooms for 3 couple. But one of the room was not booked as requested. There was a column in between the 2 single bed. Staff was not willing at the beginning to change the room.
- Stuart (1/5): A good stay, spoiled by being overcharged and the hotel failing to take action to resolve the issue. - Staff were friendly and rooms nice and clean and reception staff were helpful I was overcharged for our stay and despite emailing the hotel twice and the hotel being contacted on my behalf to obtain a refund by both by IHG and booking.com I have not been contacted by the hotel or had my overcharged bill refunded. This would put me off staying at this hotel again and I would advise other travellers to be wary of booking this hotel. Mistakes can be made but when there is no willingness by the hotel to resolve the issues this is a real cause for concern.

Lights in the room was in color make you relax ! Even the front disk say ok to check out at 1 pm , but they call to the room ask me to check out at 12 something after the housekeeping knocked my door ask for the same !!! Even the hotel was not that busy !
The hotel is an Express one as addressed in its name , no closest or money safe just some cloth hangers …
Breakfast : limited choices , but I like the atmosphere there and the girl who helping with a smile :)
Lobby is a tiny one ; I notice few chairs with a table beside the entrance .
