• Andrew (10/5): Perfect! - Hosteria Senderos was the perfect place for our stay in El Chalten. It is located across the street from the bus terminal which was very convenient for arrival and departure. The location is also very walkable to all trailheads, restaurants and shops in the town. The staff was incredible friendly and helpful with recommendations for hikes, weather forecasts and places to provision. The rooms were clean with good airflow and temperature control. The hotel had strong wifi and a lovely, clean and well-lit living room to socialize or relax in. We would recommend this as a place to stay for anyone!

• Andrea (5/5): Gedateerd, klein en veel te duur voor de kamer, de ligging en faciliteiten - De locatie lag in het prachtige stadje El Chalten Het hotel was, in vergelijking met andere hotels in Argentinië, erg hoog geprijsd en de prijs, kwaliteit was daardoor totaal niet in balans. De kamer en badkamer waren erg klein en gedateerd. Uitzicht op busstation en een bouwplaats met geluidsoverlast tot gevolg. Ontbijt was zeer matig.

• Abigail (8/5): A friendly place on the edge of town. - Hosteria Senderos was recommended by a friend who had stayed whilst on a tour of Patagonia. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We went to a restaurant at the other end of town for dinner - took 15 minutes to walk as the town is so small. Several tour groups staying. It wasn’t cheap compared to other places on our trip and whilst it had all the facilities, it was a little tired.

• Cody (8/5): Rustic hostel - Likes: rustic feel, breakfast was excellent, staff was excellent, laundry process was easy and cheap, bed was comfortable, lovely windows, nice hot water Dislikes: a bit far from the center of town (15 min walk), very poor soundproofing—I could hear the upstairs and next door neighbors talking, snoring etc, towels were not refreshed daily, lots of old people stayed there (if you’re a youth it might be more boring).

• Jenna (7/5): Adequate lodging option - We stayed at Hosteria Senderos 2 nights and unfortunately the weather was terrible the entire time we were there, so we spent a lot of time at the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful in providing dinner suggestions, assisting us with laundry, and the breakfast was delicious. The location was also fairly convenient for getting around the small town of El Chalten with restaurants and groceries nearby. Parking was also available directly across the street. While the room was clean and the bed comfortable, the room was very small. Unfortunately, we only had a view of a battered tree and the roof of the hotel. The bathroom was very tight as well and would sometimes smell like sewage. When booking the stay, it was advertised on booking.com that free laundry service was available, but this was not the case. While affordable and timely, be advised that the laundry service is not free at this hotel. There are limited options in the small and popular town of El Chalten, but this hotel was pricy for what we received and experienced.

The breakfast bar was outstanding and the customer service was amazing! Facundo was so helpful, as was everyone of the staff! They helped us find hiking trails and made great lunches for the trails!

We had help planning a shuttle to a trailhead (Frontero Sur bus service to Rio Electrico), how to get gas, providing wine glasses when he saw that we had a bottle of wine, etc. The room was a little small, but I think all hotels may have small rooms.if you like high water pressure, this is your place. The location is on the other side of town from the Fitzroy and Laguna de Los Tres trailheads.
• 898IanM (10/5): Charming Stay in El Chaltén - We loved this little place at the entrance of El Chaltén. Parking was easy, and we were immediately assisted with our bags upon arrival. Santiago greeted us warmly and was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our four-night stay. He provided excellent advice on hiking routes, always considering the weather, and his recommendations were spot on. He also helped us navigate the town and was generally a fantastic host. The room was lovely, and the whole place had the cozy feel of a European ski chalet. Breakfast was a buffet-style setup where guests gathered to discuss their upcoming hikes, creating a great atmosphere. We also had dinner there one night, which was delicious. The morning reception staff were equally friendly and helpful. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return

• Getaway59062571919 (10/5): El Chalten in Jan 2025 - We recently returned from an amazing trip to Argentina which included 3 nights at Hosteria Senderos in El Chalten. The hotel was charming and the rooms tasteful and cosy. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast and other meals at the guesthouse, and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We were given advice on activities, restaurants etc. Would recommend this lovely guesthouse.

I really don’t know what happened this year, someone hired a bad mood employee to prepare breakfast. I was just afraid of him, you could not ask for anything that he just looked at you with a angry face. He didn't replace what was finished and if you asked, he answered in a not polite way. The breakfast was until 10:00, once I saw him taking everything out at 9:30, when a couple just arrived to have breakfast they just could not.

• jamesbF1557UA (10/5): Classy and cozy - In a town that revolves around outdoors sports like hiking and rafting, it’s nice to find the kind of hotel that is the opposite of “roughing it.” Not to say that the hotel doesn’t have rustic charm—-it has that South America meets the Alps feel—but everything here is of high quality and design. From the wood beams and floors, to the sitting room by the fireplace, everything exudes comfort. So nice after a day of over a dozen miles of hiking and climbing. We stayed over Christmas, and had a festive four course Christmas Eve dinner. The staff was ever helpful and especially delighted that we had such a lovely Christmas so far from home (Ohio). Some photos may suggest that the hotel is isolated and perched at the base of the mountains. It is solidly in town, sandwiched between other buildings on the block, but we had a little belt view of Mt Fitzroy out our bedroom window. Everything in town is in walking distance, and there are so many great places to eat and drink. A highlight of our Patagonia trip for sure!

• lizar410 (10/5): The best accommodations! - We (two friends from NYC, early 30s) had a hard time trying to find a place to stay in Chalten due to booking our trip last minute & we are so glad that we ended up booking here! Location wise, the proximity to the bus station was perfect for us as we had a lot of bags! It’s also very close to a convenience store. The rooms are clean, comfortable and they were able to accommodate turning the room into 2 twin beds for us without hesitation! The staff provided a great recommendation for the route of our trek and booked us a taxi for the next morning. We had dinner here and it was delightful. We enjoyed having wine and chatting the other guests after dinner on the sofas. The next day we hiked Laguna de Los tres & when we got back Santiago had two glasses of wine waiting for us! Five stars all around! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Hosteria Senderos had everything we needed - very comfortable beds, quiet, clean, good breakfast, friendly staff. Recommend. We had views all day hiking and didn't really care about the view from the room.

The food was very delicious, from the breakfast (I will be dreaming about those amazing cakes for years to come) to the dinner offerings. The property is very conveniently located right across the street from the bus station. The only downside is that it is about a mile walk to the other end of town where most of the trails start. Not a problem, just meant I got a lot of extra steps in during my stay.

The hotel is conveniently located for the bus station but is a bit of a step from the start of the Fitzroy trails. Our room was quite small and simply furnished but perfectly adequate. We ate dinner in the hotel both nights and the food and wine were good and reasonably priced. What really made our stay was the friendly atmosphere and the staff who really went out of their way to help us get the best out of our time in this fantastic place.

• carao948 (10/5): Hiking Trip in October - We had a wonderful experience at Hosterias Senderos. The place is quaint and simple, but had everything we needed during our stay. The staff were really what made the experience above and beyond. They were kind and helpful, and had excellent recommendations for our time in town. They gave us advice and helped us arrange taxis and appointments as needed. Everyone seemed to genuinely care that we had a good experience. Cannot recommend this place enough, especially for hikers.

The staff were very kind and willing to give honest recommendations for anything we needed while staying in El Chaltén. Our room was very comfortable and had a direct view of Fitz Roy and the surrounding mountains. We were also easily able to take photos next to the famous "El Chaltén" sign on our way to every hike, so it was fun to see how the mountain clouds changed in each picture we took! The breakfast spread was laid out early and one of the staff made us eggs to order every morning which was a perfect way to start off our days of hiking.
