• Seamer (10/5): Stunning stay - The Establishment is such a beautiful hotel great welcoming staff bath and bath salts were a wonderful treat. Breakfast was reasonably priced. Generous serving and very delicious. The aircon was controlled in room which is always a bonus. Generous size room. It's very polished. The bars are great and dinner at mr wongs is a must. Bit noisy on sat night but the hum of the aircon and the ear plugs provided did the trick.

Coupled wirh a refined and elegant fitout, friendly and respectful Staff and positively gorgeous spaces to relax and enjoy your stay. We will be revisiting this gem! Having to leave!

• Caitlin (9/5): Luxurious Night in a Prime Location - Design, history. Incredibly friendly helpful staff. Gorgeous room. Luxurious! The mini bar, the bed, the bath, the lighting. Stunning. The room service. It was lovely. I imagine for many reasons the building is not able to keep sound out from neighbours above or in the hallways. Heat was slow in the afternoon, evening. Very fast in the shower in the morning. I think previous guests had mucked around with the remote and a lamp. As usual, we guests are usually the problem ;)

• Linda (8/5): The absolute BEST location in Sydney with great restaurants and bars nearby. Transport right there! - I've stayed in all sorts of locations in Sydney and this was the best, the most convenient, there's a light rail stop right there. The staff were incredible and were able to answer all of our queries. The atmosphere at all venues near this little hotel was humming, in a really good way. We appreciated the extra large room, rare for this price. Luckily we stayed for four nights because it took us a while to figure out the complicated lighting. I should have asked reception for help sooner.

Hard to get picked up and dropped off coz of the entrance in a narrow lane way. The rooms are quite dark even with all the lights on. No power point in the bathroom. The step in the middle of the room is a bit of a trip hazard especially with the dim lighting. It can be a bit noisy during the night with homeless people fighting.

• Ryan (7/5): A very well-located hotel. - The Establishment Hotel is in a very convenient location. Close to many restaurants and bars. It is also a short walk to Circular Quay and the heart of the city. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. Good coffee available downstairs in the adjoining bar. The room was poorly lit, and quite dated. The shower would benefit from being retiled and a larger mirror installed in the bathroom. While the bed was comfortable, we did expect a King size bed for the price of the room. The most noticeable anomaly was that the hot water took at least 2-3 minutes (even longer) to flow through. Quite a deal of water is wasted waiting until you can shower. Past reviews highlighted the street and bar noise; however, this is something we did not notice.

• Kathleen (10/5): We could not have been more pleased with the Establishment hotel, their staff and the location. - Extremely helpful and pleasant staff. So very close to Circular Quay and many excellent shops, restaurants, tourist spots and transportation options. The price was very reasonable. Everything was perfect. I highly recommend it.

Bathroom was very large and included double sinks. Bed was very very comfortable. Location was excellent, very close to Circular Quay and the Opera House Looked a little tired in places in the corridors. The room number signage was a lighted display on floor so not easy to recognise when you arrive.
