- Diana (8/5): - Cute older style apartment but in keeping with the old style atmosphere. Right in the middle of the old main square, with daily markets, shops, dining and grocery store nearby. Our apartment had a staircase up to the kitchen and bathroom, bedroom and little sitting area downstairs. Taller guys need to watch head in shower and at basin. You can see the Jesuit Staircase from bathroom window. We had a wonderful five day stay!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent, would go back - The apartment was very well located, well equipped, and clean. Located in the Old city close to Plǒce gate in an area where there is no need to use stairs to carry luggage, and in front of a live plaza with restaurants and a market. The apartment itself has two levels, which took a bit to get used to, but if you don’t mind the stairs it is not a problem. From the washroom window there is a nice view of the “walk of atonement” stairs filmed in Game of Thrones. The communication with Nerio the owner was easy and quick. I would 100% recommend.

- Steven (6/5): - Most of the problems were with Expedia which gave me the owner's address not the property address and then refused to provide me a telephone number for him. I nearly went to the wrong location. As for the apartment, the location is excellent. It is in one of the flat surfaces of the old town, so no problem climbing hundreds of steps to get to it. The only problem is that the bath and kitchen are not connected directly to the sleeping room. It is necessary to go out into a common hall that is shared with other guests. The host is easy to reach, very polite and helpful. A/C and all appliances work fine

- Kyung Tae (10/5): 위치가 이보다 좋을 수는 없어요^^ - 대만족입니다. 위치가 이보다 더 좋을수는 없을겁니다. 모든 관광지가 걸어서 3분내에 있어요. 집 주인 네리오는 자세히 설명해주었고 체크인이 완벽했습니다. 다만, 샤워실 높이가 작아 키가 170이 넘으면 곤란할거예요. 우리는 170이 넘지 않아 괜찮았습니다. 숙소내 계단은 노인이 이용하기에 어려움이 있을지도 모르겠네요. 전반적으로 대만족이며 다음에 재투숙 의향있습니다.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Only cash is accepted for hotel charge. - When I pay for fare, very surprised to hear thst only cash is accepted. Card was rejected. In case of lack of cash, he/she should get the money from ATM machine. Too bad. Also, there was no clean-up at all during 3 days of staying period. Ecxept for its location I don't want recommend this accomodation at all.
- Consuelo (6/5): staying from Saturday till Monday - Strengths: good location (old city center). cleaned, well-equipped, fridge, room : spacious and with independent air conditioned. negative points: street noise: despite of the double glazing, street noise till very late. noise due to the common apartment entrance: The apartment is actually divided into two apartments. the access of the second floor apartment passes through the middle of the first floor apartment (between the room and the bathroom). In addition to the noise caused by the access by the wooden stairs, neighbors voices are listen as if they were with us (to get worst, neighbors decided to do a party in the apartment till very late). Pillows are too high and hard.

Nerio møtte oss selv da vi kom, og vi fikk sjekke inn tidlig da vi ankom før innsjekk. Fortalte om byen, viste på kart og tullet med ungene. Leiligheten var liten og kjøkkenet og kjøleskapet veldig lite, men var godt rengjort og virket nyoppusset. Anbefales!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent location - I enjoyed my stay at Apartment Nerio, all the 4 days that I was there. Nerio came to meet me when I arrived and explained everything clearly. The location was more than perfect and the room was cozy. Another big advantage was that I only had to climb about 7-8 steps to get to the apartment, which is a rare event in Drubvonik.The Tea is also very safe.
- Frederic (6/5): - Do note that the owner has more than one property. We were misled because we assumed that this property was along the Stradun (as it is advertised) but it is not. However, the location was next to a Farmer's Market and that was sufficiently satisfactory. Unfortunately the room was very cold — even three blankets were not enough against the March cold of night — and it was necessary for the owner to bring in an additional heating device. It is not ensuite — the toilet is located outside the room along the hallway, along with a small kitchen area.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Not What Expected - Bad and Good - The room was on the square where the Market is held daily. Other Nerio rooms are on the Stratun. Our room had a private bathroom across a public hallway shared by the upstairs room. The bathroom was hot and smelly because you had to keep the door locked and had no AC. The kitchenette was in the hallway too. The location was the best thing. Market bakery and convenience store where steps away. We ate our breakfast pastries at benches around the Old Port. Once in the Gates the walk to room was flat unlike probably many other apartments. Dubrovnik is very hilly

- Hyun sook (8/5): Good good!!! - The best thing about this hotel is that you dont have to climb the stairs. Also it is located in the middle of the old town so you dont have to take any public transportation. Also the house owner was so nice and kind so the information that he gave us was so useful. One thing that I want this hotel is that if I can lock the door in the wash room, it can be more comfortable!!^^ However, overall I am satisfied with this hotel. Especially, the market which is held every morning right in front of my house!! You can buy fresh fruit every morning!!

- Lisa A (8/5): Uncomfortable Bed, But Terrific Location! - The location was fantastic. Nerio was very kind and helpful checking us in early and assisting us with our luggage! The room ("apartment") itself was very small and basic. The bathroom was very mildewed. And the bed was not particularly comfortable given the price point. Higher quality sheets, along with a modern day mattress and pillows, would be a wise investment!

Host on hand to meet us and very welcoming along with helpful information. Explained facilities - they are a bit dated but acceptable - the bathroom is refurbished. there are some steep steps up to the apartment from the square - if location to the city is important then worth considering.

It's right in the heart of Old Town Dubrovnik with NO STEPS to climb and with lots of restaurants and attractions nearby. Perfectly clean with a very nice staff who agreed to store our luggage. Hot water was plentiful and our twin room (one double, one pull out couch) was very comfortable. My only complaint - no international news channels (CNN/BBC) in English. Mr. Nerio and his staff were very nice.

- Sandra (10/5): Nice location in Old Town - It was great staying inside of Old Town. There were plenty of restaurants and cafes to choose from. The room and beds were very comfortable and clean. There was no shower only a tub and no elevator which was expected and was not an issue. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking utensils and a mini fridge was provides. The free wi-fi worked great. The owner, Nerio, responded quickly to my emails and gave ua great sightseeing information and maps. I would definitely stay here again.
- Christopher (10/5): Central Location - A nice apartment right in the centre of the old city of Dubrovnik. The owner was very helpful and gave me some good information about the city when I arrived. This is not a hotel so don't expect hotel style room service or reception. If you want a nice clean place in the centre of the city it is perfect.
- Christopher (8/5): Location, location, location! - Can't beat the location. The only problem we had was with parking, but this is not the apartment owner's fault. Just know that you'll pay ~20 Euros per day if you park near the Old Town. We parked at the Argentina Hotel about 10 minutes outside of the Old Town, and it saved us about 7 Euro per day in parking fees. I recommend it for parking only. Now for the apartment, it was great and the location literally CANNOT be beat. Nerio met us at the apartment, and was a great help and very friendly. We were comfortable, and had a great time. I recommend it to families, as it's a great way to see Dubrovnik (awesome city)! Only recommendation for Nerio is to put a map up of where exactly to meet you, and where you recommend to park. As mentioned, I think the Argentina hotel was good value, and a little cheaper, but you're the local expert. We had a great time, and will definitely stay again!

Where it was positioned made it difficult for a taller person to use. You had to bend to stop hitting your head on the wall. - Verified traveler (6/5): Old building in a great location - Ancient building in a great location on the Green Market Square in the old city, close to many restaurants and bars although some were closed for winter. There are steep, tall stone stairs leading to the front door so you must be able bodied to stay here. It was clean and the bed was comfortable and the reverse cycle aircon kept us warm for this winter break so guess it would also be good at keeping it cool in summer as would the thick stone walls. Only downside was that the drains in the bathroom smelt bad and we had to cover the shower drain with a cup when not in use(as we found it)else it got really bad. This may be because there hadn't been anyone in there for a while?
- Gerta (10/5): Excelent apartment, perfect location, friendly sta - The building comprised of two apartments. I stayed in the bottom floor. The whole apartment was super clean and had all that you needed for a comfortable stay. The location couldnt be better. It was only a 3 minute walk from Pile gate, 1 minute walk from the new harbor and truly in the middle of old town. The location is so much better than the Hilton's and for much cheaper. The decor is old school but it added to the charm of the place. Also if you're visiting Dubrovnik you're not there to be hauled inside and apt. There were no city steps you needed to walk up which makes visiting with heavy luggage a dream. Nerio, the owner met me on the main street and walked me to the Apt as i was having trouble finding it because it was dark at that point. Although in hindsight it was my bad map reading skills because the place was so close! Nerio was very friendly and took the time to show me on the map where everything was. The house belonged to his grandmother which added to the connection he had to the town and the apt. My entire visit in Dubrovnik was absolutely lovely. I didnt know where to go first because there was soooo much to do and all within close proximity to the apt. If i ever get the opportunity to visit again, i would stay at Nerio's again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Fine apartment - Nice apartment with two floors and kitchen almost at the center of old town, just beside the market place with good restaurants (reasonable price comparing with price level at the old town generally). Owner very friendly telling where to go for lunch/sightseeings etc. Almost every place worth to visit at the working distance from the apartment.
- Nick (10/5): Excellent for Old Town - My wife and I stayed for 3 nights during our honeymoon. With no cars, it can be difficult to get to the lodging, especially when laden with many bags. (This is not the fault of Nerio, but something to be aware of). The location is great, close to the Stada and the less crowded entrances to the City walls. There is also a market just outside the door. The windows will entirely shut out all outside noise if you desire. If there is a drawback, it is that the bathroom has a moldy smell to it. Overall, we would highly recommend the Apartments. Nerio is quite helpful and accommodating.
- Alex (4/5): Do not take the 1st floor room - Sorry looking room, cheaply furnished, rather depressing. The worst thing was the bathroom located outside the room, across the entrance hallway which was heavily trafficked by guests from other rooms. The bathroom also had a revolting sewage smell most of the time. Definitely would not recommend, at least not the first floor room, which we had--maybe the rooms upstairs are better.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Right in the old town - Apartment was right in the centre of the old town overlooking one of the squares with a fruit market in the morning and restaurants. Although on the square the double glazed windows kept the noise to a minimum. The apartment we stayed in was a 2 story with a bedroom and sitting room downstairs and a kitchen a bathroom upstairs. My only complaint for this apartment is the bathroom upstairs that does not have a shower but rather a half bathtub with just a shower handle. The bathroom is also in an attic space and has a sloping room line and therefore you cannot stand in the bath which made a bathing experience uncomfortable and water everywhere.
- S (2/5): NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR HASTLE - Old-town Dubrovnik is absolutely gorgeous and an excellent vacation spot, just don't blemish it by staying here. Booked through Expedia and thought I had paid, but even before I put my bags down the owner asks me to pay him the FULL amount in-cash or he will not give me the keys. This was only the tip of the iceberg however, the room is VERY inconvenient. You need to use 3 DIFFERENTkeys to unlock the bedroom, bathroom, and front gate. Furthermore, there is only 1 set of keys, so if you are not traveling alone, you need to arrange a way to give the other person the keys. Lastly, the bathroom smells TERRIBLE!!! It is so bad you can barely breathe. Bottom Line: DO NOT STAY HERE
- debsjohn10 (8/5): Fantastic location - We only went for 3 nights - this apartment was perfect for us. We could walk to anywhere from there - supermarket one street away and shops restaurants, sites all around us.Only moan is the noise from the main street below it went on until around 3am. We did have double glazing which closed out all the noise but it was too hot at night to have the windows shut. The air con was not efficient enough to keep the room cool. 3 sleeping in one room. If I went again would go in October and would definitely stay here again.
- MB (8/5): Great location - We stayed for 3 nights in July 2014. The location couldn't be better but was also nice and quiet thanks to the double glazing. The kitchenette was well equipped. The only thing that needs improving is the bathroom. The shower over bath is in the eaves of the roof and had no curtain. It's quite difficult to stand in it without banging your head on the ceiling and getting water all over the place. We were prepared to accept this, though, because for the money there's nowhere else in such a great location at this price.

- Frog (8/5): Great location in centre of Old Town. - Our host was very helpful and informative. The apartment was roomy with a terrific outlook into a bustling square (noise wasn't a problem though, there's double glazing). There are lots of interesting places to visit close by and plenty of good eating places. The hardest thing was probably finding and accessing the apartment as there are many steps in the Old Town and then up to the room but not a major issue.

- Brittany (10/5): Great Location and Conditions - Our Apartment was the perfect location, right off of the Stradun (our windows actually opened right onto the main street). It was a quaint apartment with plenty of space - and very clean! Nerio and his wife are extremely kind. Nerio even went above and beyond for us when a storm took out the WiFi and our family could not reach us - he drove into town just to check on us and relay their messages. I would HIGHLY recommend this apartment and would 100% stay there again!

- Jim and Mary (8/5): - Brilliant location off a large plaza in the old city - could not get closer to the action. Lovely quaint little apartment - access is up a steep set of stairs through a gate directly off the plaza. There are two apartments in the building - upstairs one is better although on levels 2 and 3 and up a tight stairway It has a small kitchen with separate tiny bathroom tucked into a dormer window with views directly down into the square. Lower apartment has bathroom across the entry. Apartment would not be suitable for people who are not reasonably agile and unable to climb stairs. Rooms were clean and comfortable although not luxurious. Nerio the owner is pleasant and helpful. No satellite TV and no wifi (nearby cafes have free wifi).
- Rupa (10/5): Wonderful neighborhood, clean and comfortable - I really had a great stay at the Nerio Apartments for a long weekend. It is located right in the middle of the Old Town, and the premises were very clean and comfortable. The safety-related details of the premises were thoughtful as well, such as the carpeting patches on the wooden stairs in order to prevent slips and accidents. The owner/manager also let us check out several hours after the usual check-out time, and so we could enjoy that extra day at the beach and more touring before heading over to the airport in the evening. I would stay there again if I happen to go to Dubrovnik in the future!
