Guest Reviews
- Sharon (10/5): - This is a great location and the hosts are very welcoming. The kitchen has everything needed for some meals and the washing machine (and outdoor lines) very appreciated.
There was an issue with the air conditioner but once we reported it, they called in a service person to quickly attend to it.
The only concern we had was the lack of railings on the stairs - the terrace overlooking the city is beautiful, but the stairs down to the door of the suite have at least 1.5m drop quite near the table and chairs. This would not be practical for younger children. However, there are stairs everywhere in Dubrovnik, most without railings, so this would be less of an issue for a local.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Clean modern air conditioned apartment - They apartment was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was great and was fully air conditioned which was most welcome as it was incredibly hot. Lovely patio area where we watched the sun go down each night. Good bus service taking you to La Pag beach and the old town. Plenty to see and do boat trips are a must. Bring something to lie on the beach with as the sun beds cost 140 kuna which is approx 19 euro. Most people lay on the stones beach. Games of throne fans will love seeing "King's Landing" and those steps. Overall great holiday.
I would suggest if you have mobility issues don't visit Dubrovnik as it has loads of steep stone stairs there is no avoiding them,
- Philippe (10/5): Une bonne maison, accueil sympa - Tres bien
- Elyse (10/5): Great guesthouse for a honeymoon ;) - The host was so welcoming and the room was lovely! It was located a tad bit far from the city center -- about a 25 min walk. However, the location was lovely and quiet and we enjoyed our stay very much!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice place, hard to find and check in though! We were in the basement but good views from the patio, on a large staircase and quite far from the old town but totally manageable
- Patti (8/5): Nice little apartment - Nice, little, comfortable apartment centrally located between the old town and the old port. A good walk to either side which was fine with us because we are walkers, but you could always catch a cab or bus.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great host, picked us up from the boat on our first day and was very accommodating. Went through a thorough review of where to go in the city. Apartment had an amazing view of the west side of the city and the water. Very clean and comfortable.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great stay! - Lovely room, awesome view, quiet, 15 min walk to centre. Fantastic
- Justin (8/5): Amazing views in a quiet neighborhood - Amazing views from the terrace. It was a bit confusing of how exactly to get in, as I didn't know which door to approach (it's a house with multiple apartments) and I had limited international cell service. But once I got in we did the paperwork over the amazing Dubrovnik sunset, and I was happy! It's up in the hills away from the noise and business of Old Town, but just a 20 minute walk or 70 Kuna/ 10 Euro cab ride to the action. Great for peace of mind. Also very close to the port where you can take the ferries to other islands. Privacy and views for the win!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good Choice if you need parking - The Apartment was a good choice for my husband and I, as we drove to Dubrovnik and needed parking. However, it was about a 20-25 minute walk away from old-town. There is a small market nearby to buy food. The room was clean and decent size for what we needed.
- Marilyn (10/5): Great guesthouse out of old town - Wonderfully helpful hostesses, very clean and comfortable room suite of kitchen, bedroom, bath. Very nice terrace with sea view of marina and Adriatic at a distance. Place to park your car. Some 50 steps to street for services-- bus into old town, 24-hr bakery, pizza place, small grocery, but a local neighborhood. You are not in the tourist hubbub of old town. Refreshing sea breeze because you are located up the hill.
- Kamil (8/5): Great stay - nice clean basement apartment with nice view from the terrace above. Apartment is located on a hill slope, so theres a few steps to climb, would not recommend to older people, but otherwise very nice and tidy neighbourhood within 20 mins walk from old town. There's shops and bus stop nearby as well as pizza place and bakery.
- Rob (10/5): Great spot close to old town - We stayed at Guesthouse Braticevic for three nights. The apartment is very spacious with good closet and dresser space. The living room is very comfortable with a nice couch, coffee table, and tv. The balcony, in my opinon, in the halmark of this unit -- a comfortable space with room for two chairs and a small table that overlooks a beautiful view of the ocean and islands. While not in the old city itself, the neighborhood is relatively quiet with only a ten minute walk into the heart of old city Dubrovnik. I sincerely hope I have another chance in my life to visit Dubrovnik and if I do I will definitely start by looking for openings at this apartment.
- Jon (10/5): Clean, 10 min bus ride to Old Town, nice terrace - The Guesthouse Braticevic offers a full kitchen, terrace overlooking the sea and friendly owners. Although I didnt use the kitchen, it was the perfect place to put my head down, shower, etc. The Guesthouse is a 5 minute walk from the bus stop which brings you to old town within 10 minutes. There are also 2 bakeries for breakfast pastries, etc and a pizza place right next to the bus stop.. The one thing I want to point out is that you have to climb quite a few steps to get from the bus stop here. If you are older or have trouble with stairs I would recommend getting a taxi to the street above so that you only have to walk a few steps down. Otherwise, I had a great stay!
- Dan (8/5): Lovely apartment about 30 minutes from Old City - Really nice apartment (with free parking space) with a fantastic view over the harbour. A couple of things to note though - it is up a LOT of stairs! It's also about a 30 minute walk from the Old City - quite a pleasant walk except for the stairs on the way back (although there is a bus option). Hosts were lovely and the apartment it self is very nice.
- Silva (10/5): Walking distance to the Old Town - The location for us was perfect. Away from all the hustle and bustle, but close enough to walk to the Old Town...about 20 minutes. The view from the terrace was amazing overlooking the new town. The owner provided us a map and took the time to explain where we could find the grocery store and pizzeria nearby. As well as how to get to the Old Town. We walked to the grocery store, bought some food for dinner and sat on the terrace enjoying the sunset and city lights from the terrace patio. The room was big and clean, bathroom had shower, towels and hair dryer. Kitchen had all basic amenities. I would definitely recommend staying here.
- Danay (10/5): Highly recommended! - The service was great and the owners were very polite and friendly. The location was quite convenient and the guesthouse was well kept and clean. I recommend this guesthouse if you are looking for those qualities.
- one night in Dubrovnik (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay here. We arrived by car. The roads around this area were very difficult to drive. Very narrow and uphill.Especially when you're not used to Croatian driving. Was very pleased to find they had a private car park for us. The room was very nice. The most amazing view from the patio. Really enjoyed our stay here. Not far to the old town and to the popular beach. Hosts were very friendly :)
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely little apartment - Apartment is quite basic but has everything you need including beautiful views from the terrace. It's at the top of a hill so the walk to the old and new parts of the town is about 15 minutes but the walk back is longer and very uphill!
