Guest Reviews
- Alexandria (6/5): - The stay was okay I didn't like how I couldn't eat my food I bought from the store in the hotel.
- Hiroyasu (8/5): - Breakfast is good.
- Masumi (8/5): - Shower was great. Flow was enough strength.
But this property has only 2 laundries. So you might need to secure enough time for that.
And if previous user has not grab them clothes, you should ask to take out these to staffs.
Also this hotel has not fitness center.
But, this stay was almost amazing.
- Sheryl (8/5): - A very quiet place to stay at and very easy to access. The staff are helpful and always available to assist.
Just to note, the property is quite old so the rooms are pretty dated. There is no overhead lighting in the room, just mood lighting so it is slightly dim at night. Also, the nearest coin laundry location is about 9 min away. Otherwise, it is a great place to live at, the rooms are larger than counterparts of similar budget!
- Melih (10/5): - It was amazing experience thanks all staff 😍
arigato gozaimashita
- Glenn (6/5): Improvements required - For a cheap night while navigating Tokyo a good price. But even so the hotel is well in need of a renovation. The bathroom furniture was a worrying shade and the lighting levels in the room very poor. The bed was comfy, can’t deny that. But the welcome message on the desk informing me that my pajamas and lan cable were in the draw made me wonder what era I’d landed in. Also, no coffee or milk in the room, just a solitary green tea bag. Breakfast was edible but sub par. The food although seemingly in warmers was actually cold.
- angela (8/5): - Room was clean a tidy, bathroom was a little run down and had mould in the shadow ceiling.
If you are over 175cm you feet will hang over bed.
Get off the subway at exit 4
- Jason (10/5): Best Budget Friendly & Convenient Hotel in Tokyo - Convenient location as it is just a two minute walk to the subway station and a five minute walk to the Imperial Palace grounds. Friendly staff. Very clean. Room pretty spacious for one guest. Very affordable.
- Yasamin (10/5): - Very nice staff, super close to public transport stations and a 7/11 for food and ATM, overall excellent!
- Keshawn (8/5): - Found mold in the bathroom slightly
- MASAKI (8/5): - It's a quiet and pleasant
hotel in the middle of Tokyo.
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Z1945JLjessied (10/5): Magical Mornings and Cozy Stay - Absolutely loved my stay! The staff were super friendly and always helpful. The room was cozy and well-equipped, with a stunning view that made mornings magical. Dining options were varied and delicious. Really felt at home here, it was a perfect getaway! Highly recommend!
- Verified traveler (10/5):
- Kenneth (10/5): - Next to Hanzomon subway station for easy access. Quiet setting & nice. JR line access takes a bit more time though. But for the price & service, it’s good!
- Gregory (8/5): - Great property, great area, great bakery a block a way, but the matress and pillows are just awful
- Rui (2/5): - String smoking smells.
- Mary (6/5): - I recommend this place if you want a budget hotel near the Imperial Palace for running.
- Sophie (10/5): - Excellent hotel. It’s 5 minutes walk from Hanzomon station from which you can get to the main areas easily. Breakfast was delicious everyday.
The room is small, but is as advertised so I knew to expect that.
- Daniel (8/5): - The floor I was on smelled like cigarette smoke
- Rumi (10/5): - Close to where I worked during my stay
- Perla (10/5): - Had a great time and the food is really good. Thank you😊
- Mazhar (8/5): - Convenient location just a few minutes away from Hanzomon station. Staff are very friendly and helpful, had a problem with the pillow and they gave be a better replacement.
Will happily stay here again.
- Eli Eliahu (10/5): - Convinient location
- Christopher (8/5): - It wasn’t clear where the front door was. I was standing in the side of the building trying to figure out how to get in.
- Marcio (10/5): - Ok
- MARGIE (10/5): - I liked that it was a clean, convenient hotel room.
It is only 3 star because there is not pool, spa, or gym facility.
But I am not looking for that.
The staff was courteous and tried their best to understand English.
The only downside would be for big & tall.
I am short and not so big so the room did not feel cramped.
Room had no view except of the outside of the building next to it.
The bathroom door swings out so that your knees do not get hurt while you are on the commode.
Very good value for a hotel near the Imperial Palace grounds.
- Yisuo (10/5): - It is a good location for early morning run around the imperial palace.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Enjoyable stay, poor wifi - The hotel was accommodating and fairly comfortable, the food in the restaurant was delicious and as a smoker I appreciated the smoking room, everything was very clean and cleaned well every day of my stay, my only issue was the Wifi was very poor and I had to use mobile data as it barely worked.
- Ulysses (10/5): - Amazing. Staff are friendly and helpful. They provided what I need. My stay had been a wonderful one.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great location. Room was a good size for even two people. They don't accommodate early check-in, but they can hold your luggage while you go exploring. Everything was clean. Good breakfast. Really helpful staff.
The bathroom is a bit of a squeeze, so not ideal for large visitors (at least for a Single-type room). Also, the pillows are unusual--something to be mindful of. Also, information for the train exit (especially for the elevator option) would have been really helpful.
- kevin (10/5): Good value and convenient to subway - One block from metro station but no connecting subway lines so a very quiet area. Staff was kind and helpful. Room was small but typical of Tokyo
- Lami (8/5): - Great location, off the metro. Friendly staff. good privacy
- JenM (8/5): - So close to theatrical station. Nice and quiet area.
- agnestham (10/5): Great 5 stars Hotel in Manila - Attended a conference at the hotel. I was impressed by the welcome reception. Fast check in process, helpful staff and always greet with smile. Impressive room with beautiful view towards the Manila Bay.Fantastic choices of food at the restaurant.
Outdoor swimming pool which is too shallow to swim. But great to soak at the luke warm water after full day schedule.
- Ana (10/5): Pleasant stay - Even though they were out of non-smoking rooms, they made their best efforts to accommodate. The staff was SUPER friendly, and I'm just sorry I didn't have time to try the Chinese restaurant.
- Akanksha (4/5): - Rooms really small. Difficult to stay in room other than sleep.
- Jeff (8/5): - Location is excellent. Walking distance to Imperial Palace and to 3 Metro stations. You can walk to Ginza, Tsukiji and Ueno if you fit or take Hanzomon metro station located 100m from hotel. The room is small but has a refrigerator.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very close to the station. A lot of reasonable restaurants near by.
- rtmmac (10/5): Good location, nice staff and rooms - Very nice location, situated right in the heart of the city but peaceful neighborhood. It is near the hanzomon station. If you got luggages you can conveniently take the Exit 4 elevator, outside it turn right and you’ll just have to cross the street towards the hotel. It’s also only a few blocks away from the imperial palace and chidorigafuchi park. The room is very clean and well-maintained. Everything is functional. All staff are great and always ready to assist you. Didn’t get to try the food in their restaurant since there are quite a few good places to dine around the area. Definitely recommend this place though you might want to choose a bigger room if you need more space.
- EYAL (10/5): Nice - It was very nice and close to Public Transport
The room is small
- Lee Choo (8/5): Good value budget hotel - It's a good stay. Reception is fantastic. I love that it's near imperial palace, a nice stroll brings u along a few good parks.
- Chong_Penang (6/5): Reasonably price business hotel - This hotel could be a reasonable alternative if budget is your concern.
Positive of this hotel:
1) Close to Hanzomon Station of Hanzomon metro line - the hotel doorstep is a mere 100m from Exit 4 and Exit 5. In addition it is only 15 min from Hanzomon station to the main Tokyo train station.
2) Proximity to attraction (Imperial Palace courtyard and 650m from Yasukuni shrine)
3) Staff quality - the staff is attentive and try their best to address your needs despite they speak relatively little English
4) Reasonably price room rates for the comfort of its room; good option for budget-sensitive travelers to Tokyo.
Downside of this property includes:
1) located in relatively quiet neighborhood; only 1 24-hours convenience store and a handful of eatery outlets around
2) the hotel is a little dated in spite it is still very clean and all facilities functions well. The hotel appears old-fashioned.
- VC (8/5): - Superb location, only 80m from Hanzomon Gate 4.
- Susan (8/5): Older hotel in a quieter area with excellent staff - Room was a bit dated, as expected of an older hotel, but it’s conveniently located close to the train station, in a quieter area. Staff was excellent.
- Alberto (8/5): Very Good breakfast! - Very helpful staff
- Jeffrey (2/5): Wouldn’t stay there again even if paid to do so - Hate smoking rooms, wasn’t even asked if it was ok
- Bob (10/5): - We had a tea and cake set one afternoon for 1,500 yen. A little high but the kicker was, they want 500 yen more for a second cup of tea. Coffee would have included additional cups at no charge!
- Oskar (10/5): - Very good, comfortable and clean room. Great location, extremely close to subway Hanzomon line. Area is very quiet, but there are some restaurants close by. Very close to the Imperial Palace Garden, great to easily be able to go for a run there. Changed to this hotel at the last minute and I am very thankful I did, very happy with my stay
- Maciej (8/5): One night stay in Tokyo - Small room but good AC system and who stays much in a hotel room when evening weather is so great in Tokyo! Hotel is close to good tourist attractions and restaurants. Very close to subway station too.
- Verified traveler (6/5): diamond hotel - room Is ok but very small
- Patrick (8/5): Diamond hotel - The hotel was nice, but very small. The bathroom would not work for someone over 6 feet tall. I had to pay 7500 yen extra because I had my wife with me, even though I was told by hotel. com that I would not have to pay any additional fees. The hotel is right next to chiyoda city; which is where the Emperor of Japan resides, great hotel, but small and over priced by American standards.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Compact room ! - basically ok for short time.
But inside room, I found quite a lot of dusts on furniture etc. Inside the bathtub was dirty, was moldy.. there were somebody’s hairs under the toilet.
Though the staffs were very cheerful and nice in service.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location - Close to 皇居,quiet, breakfast is ok, don’t expect a room size like in US
- mlis-polacchina (6/5): Average - - compact room ! - Staffs were very cheerful and in good manner which made me happy. The location is good in centre.
The atmosphere of he entrance and lobby were good atmosphere.
Check in and check our procedure were quick !
Inside the room... very compact which had no problem.
But on the table, bed head board and clock etc. were full of dust !
Bath tub was getting moldy. Under the toilet was full of dust with somebody’s hairs....
Bathroom sink, I had to wait 10 min. to get water, first water was running first.
Bathroom amenity was .... shampoo, conditioner, Body soap, toothbrush and razor only ! So, for ladies, you need to bring by yourself maybe ?
Bed was ok to sleep, no problem...
Breakfast - - staff’s smile qnd cheerful greeting were very nice but not so much choice in dishes.
But it was only 1 night, so it was ok to stay.
- Beckie (8/5): Convenient hotel next to subway station - Convenient and good breakfast . Like the staff. Very polite.
- Wood77 (6/5): Good for overnight travelers, possibly difficult for tourists - We selected Diamond Hotel because of the close proximity to matters we need to take care of in Tokyo. This is really an overnight stay hotel for business travelers. Rooms are very small and cramp, sufficient enough for a single person at best. Furnishings are a bit dated but everything is clean and functional. No place to store your luggage, 2 hangers on a wall hook, no dresser drawers, no closet. Essentially you live out of your luggage. One small in room TV with zero western stations. The hotel buffet in Plumeria Restaurant was reasonably price when added to the initial booking. The price was less than $10 USD per person. If you buy the breakfast buffet in person, you will pay 1400 yens. Plumeria Restaurant offers a mix of western and Japanese breakfast items. Dinner price at Plumeria Restaurant is around 2200 yens for a thin steak, 1 floret of broccoli, 1 slice of carrot, 1 dollop of potatoe, 1 tea cup of soup, and 1 mini cup of coffee. The pork cutlet dinner there is around 1700 yens. For dinner, you can do much better at nearby walkable restaurants. Several mini markets and grocery stores are close by too. Hanzomon Metro Subway Station is less than 5 minutes walk from hotel. You can reach most areas of Tokyo via train transfers. A refreshing walk to the Imperial Palace grounds is quite doable from Diamond Hotel also. Diamond hotel and Plumeria restaurant staff were very polite and attentive to your needs when asked. The free WiFi internet connection in the room often drops off. WiFi connection in the lobby is better.
- Michele (6/5): Quite area - Close to my work and cheap ish.
Quite area. Clean.
Rooms are small in Japan
- Jarom (8/5): Fine, nothing special. - It's a pretty old hotel, and the rooms are the typical tiny rooms you will find in Tokyo. Most of the hotel smells like smoke, and our first non-smoking room smelled strongly like smoke. Upon request, the staff did switch our rooms to another non-smoking room that didn't smell like it was smoked in, unlike the first. There isn't much to do or eat nearby, so you'll have to take a subway to Ginza or Shibuya to do anything. But it is very close to those locations by subway.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Decent, good location, bad internet - The hotel is located in a very convenient location next to the imperial palace and very close to the metro. It's easy to get around because of this. The room was a bit small, but I didn't have any problem with this. I felt like the room was pretty dusty cause after a day or two of staying, I had a slight later of dust on my things. Also, the internet was terrible slow and would disconnect a lot, not sure if it was our room location or something else. If the internet was better I would stay again.
- Gundam Freedom (10/5): Diamond Gem found in Japan - Good customer service. They greet and acknowledge your presence. They are most helpful and genuinely expressive. Nearby Hanzomon subway station; this makes travel from one destination to another within Tokyo really easy and straighforward. Also near Imperial Edo Castle palace, so easy commute to see. We'll do service with them in the future. Recommend.
- Tom (8/5): A+ Service - The staff as amazing and very accommodating. The bathroom however was cramped and the bed was not very comfortable. Overall I would stay there again but not for more than a couple nights.
- N (10/5): Larger than usual room for this price in Tokyo - What made this hotel great is that the staff go very far to please us. They are so friendly and are available 24 7. We had a situation where we left an item at a previous hotel that didn't speak English and Diamond Hotel helped us translate to them and retrieve our item. I love them very much for helping us in this way.
The wifi worked well.
Located right next to Chidorigafuchi park which is great if you want to see the cherry blossoms in spring. Located 1 block from Hanzomon train station.
- sonic (6/5): Ok for one night not more - The hotel's employees are helpful and very polite. The location is nice and in a quite area. My main problem with this hotel, is you can't open the windows for fresh air due to this issue the room smell of cigarette smoke really bad. I booked a smoking room because i vape. The only option was to switch on the ventilator which looks like it was link to every rooms, and that causes more cigarette smells and other smells, as well as dust from other rooms most of the time into our room. The bed was like sleeping on a bench with only one pillow per person, not comfortable.
Would I recommend this hotel..... no, but it doesn't concerns the employees, as they were first class.
