• Donna (8/5): - The place was newly renovated and clean. The included breakfast was excellent. The location is also excellent. Once quiet time began (11pm) there was no noise. The only sound I noticed all night was a siren. The bed was very comfortable. A minor thing, but a bedside light would have been good.

Even though the social space and noise closes off at 11pm, the volume of the music was more of a nightclub than a social space and on the Saturday night the noise was transferred to a social space by reception which didn’t stop until after 1.30am

• Georgia (9/5): Great hostel - amazing vibe, wonderful breakfast, perfect for solo travellers - Great location - close to beach, town and ferry. The free breakfast was so good!! Kitchen was clean Social friendly relaxed vibe- easy to meet people as a solo traveller. The events were good - yoga was great. The Geordie receptionist was super friendly. Cinema room was really nice Some of the kitchen hobs dont work. It doesn’t have AC but don’t let that put you off, it’s workable!

Also another customer was vaping inside from the stairs near the machine with drinks inside. Also it was too pricey for what is 1 towels and to self make your bed when then you also have to give it back for the check out.

On ne veut surtout pas prendre le risque de mettre un vieux pervers en dortoir. Bravo, belle mentalité, vous êtes pathétique mais cela m’a permis d’adorer le Manly bunkhouse que je recommande à 100% !!!

• Carol (10/5): So much awesome - Booked a king room which was gorgeous and comfortable. Stoke has so many great inclusions like quality breakfast, yoga, surf boards, pool table, bathrooms with soaps and hairdryers. Perfect location close to everything. Lively evenings for fun and quiet after 11pm for decent sleep. This is a pretty awesome place. No aircon, just fans. On hot days the room was pretty toasty. The showers could get a bit scuzzy but if you bring an extra towel as a bathmat it's all good.

Also its kind of dirty everywhere. And more of a partyhostel. Not a special hostel in my opinion. Same as all the others in Australia, but way more expensive

• Melanie (7/5): Tolle Lage, bequeme Betten, junge Leute - Das Bett hatte Vorhänge und die Matratze war bequem. Die Badezimmer und Toiletten waren immer sauber und wurden regelmäßig gereinigt. Die Lage ist top, nur ein paar Gehminuten vom Strand entfernt. Das Frühstück war spitze!! Es war wirklich alles dabei (Schinken, Käse, Tomaten, Marmelade, Cerealien, Obst, Tee, Kaffee) - solch ein Angebot kenne ich von keinem anderen Hostel! Mit 40 Jahren fand ich mich teilweise fehl am Platz in diesem Hostel, da wirklich sehr junge Leute dort waren - zumindest als ich dort übernachtete. Es gab nur einen großen Aufenthaltsraum, der auch gleichzeitig „Speisesaal“ war. Es gab keinen wirklichen Rückzugsort, um mal in Ruhe zu telefonieren oder zu arbeiten. Einen Teil der Badezimmer konnte man nur erreichen, wenn man durch den Aufenthaltsraum geht, dass fand ich manchmal etwas unangenehm.

I stayed in the female four person dorm and the beds were great with little curtains for privacy. Huge kitchen and communal bathroom. I liked there was a curfew on communal spaces so I could sleep! The pillows were humongous, way too big for me. I wish there were rules for people to not spray deodorant etc in the rooms cos it really hurts my chest but it's hard to ask people not to.

• Rebecca (9/5): Beautiful accommodation and location at one of the best beaches in Sydney - The location right next to the beach, and the ability to rent equipment (we rented the surf boards and snorkels), AND the social aspects (we did yoga and met loads of lovely people playing pool), AND the lovely breakfast, made the stay so energising The proximity to the busy road mean i was woken up at by bin lorries at either 4am or 6am every morning (I stayed for a week). I understand this is hard to change

• Erin (10/5): Amazing location, events, people, rooms, highly recommend. - The location was PERFECT! you were two blocks away from the beach, just down the street from the main plaza for great food and snack, and a short 5(ish) minute walk to the wharf! In my opinion Manly beach is one of the nicest, calmest beaches I went to. The all girls dorms was great and you have a shared patio which was a nice touch. The common areas remained clean and up kept which encouraged you to be in said shared areas. The hostel had manly planned events for their guests which made it so easy to meet new friends as a solo traveler. The provided towel, bike, sports equipment rentals which was so convenient. All around an amazing stay! With the proximity to the beach, there was a lot of sand build up in the showers stuck in corners. The bathrooms were clean but I wish the showers gained a bit more attention.
