- Aisha (10/5): Serene and peaceful - The hotel is beautiful with stunning surroundings and overall I had a great experience. Staff were friendly and service was good. However, breakfast could be improved — there was no information on how to order items like eggs, or what drinks/coffee options were available, and staff didn’t ask if I had requests. It was also disappointing that no dining discount was offered for guests, and this wasn’t mentioned at check-in. I also had to wait about 30–45 minutes for my room to be ready on arrival. Despite these points, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend the hotel for its atmosphere and setting.

I know they are there and where, but there weren't noticeable. Would have been nice if the pool bar stayed open longer and served food. Was attending ADIPEC and that was convenient. Was beautifully quiet.

- Mayra Esther (8/5): Great stay with few areas of improvement - The hotel is very nice and clean, I really loved the welcome biscuits given at the reception and at the room. I loved the cinema theater that they offer on site and the elegant, quiet and calm atmosphere. There were 2 not-so-good things about my stay on Armed forces hotel though: the pool does not belong to the hotel itself but to a sort of club, therefore, there is 0% privacy if you want to use the pool as there are swimming classes all day. The pool was packed and I was not comfortable having so many people around during pandemic time. The second not so good thing was that they made us wait for almost 30 min at the reception before we could get our room. The customer service team however was very nice and helpful though. Other than these two downfalls, I enjoy my stay.

- JASSEM (8/5): Lovely hotel and friendly staff - A comfortable hotel despite the presence of maintenance in some of the hotel facilities and its location in a very quiet place, but I do not advise travelers who will rely on taxis because the hotel location is located at the entrance to the city, there will be transportation costs, but in general the hotel is very good and has facilities and a very beautiful garden.

It is not a 5 star property with all the bells and whistles but a comfortable quiet hotel probably suited to business travellers on a budget. It has all the mod cons e.g. bar, room service and turn down. But it is not luxurious. The building itself if a government building for the armed service with an Olympic swimming pool, coffee shop, multiple very large conference rooms (it is a hotel with very large conference facilities with much fewer rooms). Local is good for grand mosque. It is in between downtown Abu Dhabi and Yas Island. We stayed for the GP and did the trick!
- William (10/5): - First time visit, first class everything. Our 25th wedding anniversary made perfect by venue and staff excellence. So impressed, we stayed on for 3 days /2 nights, enjoying the entire time within the world class complex. A must stay, lifestyle experience!

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very comfortable bed and room, on a lavshly-decorated property close to the Grand Mosque (though still a short cab ride away, not walking distance). An olympic-size swimming pool, sauna, and gymnasium are among the included amenities. Complimentary coffee and dates are available at lounges around the hotel during the daytime, and are delicious. The very good breakfast buffet was an extra fee, at least for me. And using the attached shooting range would have been an extra fee.But this was overall an outstanding value for a 5-star hotel stay.
- Mariam (6/5): Old hotel with smelly rooms - The check in experience lasted more than half an hour, which is the longest from my personal experience with hotels. They were looking for my reservation and I almost lost hope. I was given a smelly room that overlook the parking, another disappointment. I called to ensure that I chose smoking room while this one is not, So I was moved to a third floor room with balcony which was a relief. Yet the balcony was dusty and I was scared to contaminate my black abaya. When asked for the room service to be put on the room I was told I can only put the juice on the room but have to pay immediately for the cigarettes! also, the channels were another big disappointment, no movie channels but Indian and Egyptian.

- Scott (8/5): The good, the bad and the oops. - My advice to other travellers would be to check in early, because on my particular occasion the hotel had overbooked. So I was moved to a room that I hadn't booked. The problem was rectified, but left a poor first impression. Little mistakes that a five star hotel shouldn't make, were being made with disappointing regularity. The hotel itself is stunning, and you could wander for hours and not to the same part of the hotel twice. But I think some of the rooms could do with a little bit of TLC. I can't fault the staff, some of the most friendly and helpful staff I have encountered quite some time. I think reception could do with a little bit of work, the staff sometimes don't seem to know what they're doing. I think that is where most of the problems seem to stem from.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel but not what I expected - The rooms and service are very good. The restaurants and swimming facilities are very nice. It's closer to the airport than many other hotels so it's good for those who want to be close to the airport. It's a bit out of the way from the central area though, although it is close to the Grand Mosque. It was a huge complex and too quiet for me. I prefer the hotel to have more life about it but it felt like it was deserted. It also has strong military features throughout which may not be what some people want to be surrounded by. Staff were helpful and the facilities were good. The gym was excellent. I don't think I'd stay here again due to the poor location and the lack of other hotel guests in such a large complex.

- David (8/5): Solid businessman's hotel but less for tourists - Reception service was excellent; the various individuals were most willing to please at all hours. The rooms were very clean and elegant. The food at the breakfast and dinner buffets in the Al Bathna restaurant were somewhat dried out and not refreshed, unless one arrived when they opened. I did not have time to use all the sports facilities, but they are extensive. Altogether, I would definitely be open to staying there again.

- Omaimah (10/5): One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in - I do not know how this hotel isn't rated 5 star. The staff were excellent and friendly. The room was clean, large, and comfortable. There are great on site amenities such as bowling, swimming, several restaurants, and a shooting range. The Grand Mosque is a short walk away but you would want to rent a car to see the rest of Abu Dhabi. It is a great place to stroll around at the end of a busy day (it is very large with many fountains and marble everywhere). Beautiful and soothing to the senses.

- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location contrasting with cold place - Hotel is located in a convenient tranquil area for resting, and with wonderful view of the magnificent Main Abu Dhabi Mosque. But inside, despite the luxury, hotel is cold, without live, without "hapiness". Good for business trips and a great variety of events.

- Amr (10/5): Nice hotel and Club - It's a huge hotel with a lot of sport facilities, suitable for who is looking to spend his time in gym, swimming, shooting and more. A nice place for families with kids, as they have a nice playground and specially designed swimming pool for them. One night is not enough to enjoy the stay.I Like this hotel so much and I will go there again. Although the hotel is amazing but it needs more effort to be a 5 stars hotel, as the rooms are basic and the bathrooms are very small without any luxurious touches. Food is some what expensive, but the quality is excellent. Not suitable for old peoples or disabled as the hotel is so huge and need a lot of walk to reach your room, restaurants or sport facilities. Far from the city center and from shops. Nothing bad, it is only a tips for the travelers.
- Doug (8/5): Interesting place to stay. - I did have problems with getting my room made up. Once it was not completed at 5pm when I returned. Two times I had to request Housekeeping to clean the room during my stay. Complementary items such as coffee and tea were not always restocked, but were immediately upon request. These were minor irritations.
