Ivan (9/5): Our best pick for a trip to Athens - Great location near the city centre and metro station. Excellent and warm welcoming staff. The rooftop bar was under construction so we didn’t use it and the breakfast was served in their sister hotel which is very close and also with great view to the Acropolis. The breakfast was very good and delicious. Surely will visit again. Everything was great.
Gail (10/5): We’d return. Completely enjoyed our stay. - The location is amazing. The plaza across the road is THE PLACE for gatherings, music, shops and restaurants. The weekend evenings are lively. Train station, literally across the road at The Plaza as well. The Parthenon is visible from our room on the first floor. Lit up at night it’s a site to behold. The room very comfortable as was the bed. A small elevator to upper floors. Honestly, it was a 10 out of 10.

Julie (9/5): Magical setting and fun area - Maybe the best view we’ve ever had anywhere! Facing the Acropolis over the energetic square and market was fabulous. The windows were great so it was not noisy. Storage was good, room was very large, big windows. Lots of plugs. The rooftop is being terminated so had to walk across street for breakfast but it was very good- they also offered a free drink on the sister property rooftop but our view was so good we just stayed in. Small elevator and be careful not to get your boat trapped as the inside doors close! No bathtub and could have had another bathroom shelf

Many activities are close by and it’s near the subway. The bed was comfortable. I could not be happier. I did have one girl (I didn’t get her name but she told me that she was from Africa) that deserves an extra shout out. She was so kind! Posting pictures from my deck in the sky!

The location was perfect, as we were close to major shopping areas and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. 100% recommend this hotel if you are in Athens! It would have been nice to have been informed that the rooftop restaurant was closed for renovations before we arrived.

ziv (9/5): Good VFM - Excellent location, rooms renovated to a high standard. 2 points to consider, variety in the dining room and they didn't tell us before arrival that the Roof Top was under renovation, which is why we agreed to pay a slightly higher price compared to other hotels in the area.
Diana (10/5): - We had a great experience with A for Athens! The location is fantastic, right in the heart of Monastiraki, with one of the best views of the Acropolis in the city. Unfortunately, the rooftop bar was closed for renovation during our visit, but the staff handled the situation wonderfully, allowing us to have the breakfast right across the street, at another wonderful restaurant with same magnificent view of the Acropolis. It was a really nice gesture and much appreciated. Even with the temporary closure, the atmosphere of the place, the professionalism of the staff, and the prime location made a very positive impression on us. Their hospitality and attention to guests truly stood out. Highly recommend A for Athens and would definitely return!

La chambre était très bien aménagée, et l’option vue sur l’acropole est top ! Le personnel etait très agréable. Le rooftop est en travaux, et nous n’avions pas été informés avant. Donc c’était un peu bruyant le matin, et le petit déjeuner était délocalisé dans un autre hôtel de l’autre côté de la rue… Le matelas mériterait d’être retourné ou changé car des creux commencent à se former. Enfin, l’ascenseur est tombé en panne notre dernier jour, mais le personnel nous a proposé son aide pour descendre nos valises.

Martin M. Watson (9/5): - In the center of Athens, easy reachable from monistraki metro (M3) , at a walkable disatance from Plaka neighbourhood area and Acropolis. Near to different restaurants with the greek cuisine. Amazing View for the monistraki square.
Christine (10/5): Wunderschöner Urlaub mit einmaliger Aussicht auf die Akropolis, gute Lage und schönes Zimmer - Die Aussicht auf die Akropolis vom Zimmer aus war einmalig. Die Lage des Hotels ist auch sehr gut. Das Frühstück war gut, es hatte von allem etwas. Das Personal war freundlich. Die Aussicht von der Bar war auch einmalig. Der Drink den man zur Begrüssung in der Bar bekam, könnte besser sein, Geschmacksache😉. Die Auswahl für das Abendessen war klein und auch etwas teuer. Wir waren auf der 4 Etage und leider war der Lift ab dem zweiten Tag defekt. Unser Koffer wurde aber vom Personal herunter getragen.

Thomas (9/5): In jedem Fall eine Besuch wert. - Sehr bequemes Bett und moderne Zimmer, super Lage - absolut zentral. Suiten haben eine spektakuläre Sicht auf die Akropolis. Guter Roomservice mit tollen Speisen. Das Frühstück könnte besser sein. Kein Service am Platz, Kaffee und Getränke zum selber holen. Auswahl beim Büffet an Wurst und Käse sehr gering.

David (9/5): We loved this hotel. Perfect location, friendly staff, and the room was nicely appointed. - Our room looked out at the Acropolis. Just a stunning view! We had a small balcony where we could relax. The mattress was not comfortable. Very firm.

Bagica (8/5): Nice but expected more - Hotel is in the city center, walking distance of the most attractions so excellent location. Our room was really big and spacious, and having coffee machine for Nespresso and kettle, fridge and safety box. The breakfast, served on the roof top with a view of Acropolis, is very good. Although the bathroom is beautifully designed it is not practical at all. The towel rack is above the toilet which might be good for putting new towels for new people but is not really hygienic. Also there is not enough hooks for used towels next to the bathroom sink - only one in the room for two people. The dimmed light in the bathroom might be cozy but not useful for anything - no shaving, not putting make-up.
MOTI (10/5): The hotel met all my expectations Σε ευχαριστώ θερμά! - I came to Athens to celebrate my birthday and the hotel upgraded my room without asking. This is a gesture that I will never forget for the rest of my life, and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. Y2132JV (2/5): Not recommended - First is the mattress is old and very hard, and collapsed in the muddle leading to little sleep and lots of pain.Staff did nothing to help with this, when asked was told all the mattress are the same and we have no toppers. Room given, noisy next to a lift shaft that goes up to roof bar so was rumbling all the time. Window waste of time as it is a view to concrete shaft, no natural light. Use of roof top bar is limited even although it is a facility advertised to use while staying in Hotel and was assured by email that we could use it anytime during our stay when it was open. It is also very costly. NYE was wasted as was relegated to the outside in the freezing cold but still was told needed a minimum spend on drinks. This was eventually waived after a lengthy talk with email proof having to be shown regarding this as I had emailed about NYE many times. Priority was given to non residents on NYE. Breakfast was awful a mix of left overs from restaurant from previous night, stale bread and cold omelette. Filter coffee was like dirty water and only allowed one decent coffee free with breakfast for more you need to pay. The whole experience in the Hotel put a total dampener on time together with family visiting Greece for the festive time. This trip had been booked and planned well in advance so not a lst minute deal. Only good thing was location.

Jisun (8/5): Nice location and good breakfast and welcome drink with great view - 뷰가 좋았습니다 하루종일 숙소에 있어도 파르테논 신전 뷰 감상하느라 지루하지 않아요 웰컴 드링크를 루프탑에서 할 수 있던 것도 좋았습니다 낮에 일하시는 직원분들은 엄청 친절했어요 시설도 최근에 수리했는지 좋았습니다 위치가 좋아서 어디든 관광하러 나가기 좋았습니다 난방이 갑자기 안 되어서 간밤에 오들오들 떨면서 잤어요 밤에 일하는 직원한테 문의했는데 별 대응을 해주지 않고 친절하게 안내도 없었습니다 새벽 6시에 메시지 남겨준다고 했는데 그냥 퇴근한 것 같더라고요 아침 9시에 고쳐주긴 했는데 저희는 11시 체크아웃하느라 ㅎㅎ 별 소용이 없었어요 그리고 숙소에서 계속 알람으로 추천하는 Welcompickup 서비스는 절대 사용하지 마세요 우버와 같음 차량인데 우버가 더 저렴하고 하루 전까지만 환불(그것도 80%만 가능)가능하고 비행기 표 시간이 바뀌어서 택시 시간 바꾸는 것도 안되더라고요 서비스 이용 못했는데 전액 환불 못 받았습니다 날강도 서비스에요 호텔에서도 환불 알아봐주셨는데 뭐… 안 됐네요^^ 그 회사 정책 때문이라는데 자기네가 정한 말도 안되는 정책을 관광객은 모르고 눈탱이 맞겠더라고요

Marija00001 (10/5): One of my favorite experiences ever - I had the best experience at A for Athens, it was a magical stay the first time, and I had to come back again a week later, stayed at the same place. The management was outstanding, very kind, very accommodating and helpful. I had a junior suite with the acropolis view, and it must be one of my favorite rooms/ stays ever. Just magical. The breakfast is nice and good, and the staff are amazing and very hospitable. Location couldn’t have been better, it’s right above the airport stop, next to all the restaurants, pharmacy, bars, the acropolis. It might be the best corner in Athens. The rooms are all well maintained, clean, and newly remodeled. As far as noise, i always travel with earplugs, and their windows were very insulating and didn’t have any problems. I truly had the best time and enjoyed my stay like no other. Highly recommend.

The room was spacious and comfortable, and the staff, especially housekeeping, were outstanding, meticulous and thoughtful throughout our stay. The hotel is superbly located, within easy walking distance to all major tourist attractions, making it incredibly convenient. Room 52 in particular is everything you could ask for to make an Athens stay truly memorable, from the view to the comfort and the quiet elegance of the space. Highly recommended. -

Plenty of shops and restaurant within easy reach of hotel. Hotel room was very clean and spacious. Great view of Acropolis from the breakfast restaurant and rooftop bar. Breakfast was simple but nice.

Waking up to a direct, breathtaking view of the square and the Acropolis from our room was an absolute dream. The staff were exceptional, always helpful and responsive. To top it all off, the location made getting to the airport so easy and stress-free at the end of our trip. An unforgettable experience we will always cherish!

Widok z pokoju i tarasu na ostatnim pietrze gdzie serwowane byly rano sniadania a wieczorem bar z restauracja zrobily robote że ten wyjazd zostanie zapamietany na dlugo. Polecam!

El menú del desayuno se puede tornar repetitivo. No hay acceso abierto al rooftop para los huéspedes del hotel. Sí o sí hay que tener una reserva por un mínimo de consumo.

Staff very helpful and arranged for a cab ride to airport. Breakfast was good. Nothing really. The elevator was tiny but manageable.

Anja (8/5): Top Lage, saubere Zimmer; wir würden das Hotel wieder buchen! - Die Lage am Monastiraki Platz (U-Bahn Station) mit Blick auf die Akropolis aus dem Zimmer, beim Frühstück und der Dachterrasse ist unschlagbar. Alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind gut fußläufig zu erreichen. Das Bad ist leider etwas schlecht beleuchtet und bietet wenig Ablagefläche. Eine kleine Brötchenauswahl wäre gut, es gab nur Brot oder Toast
