Guest Reviews
- feroze (2/5): - Found a cockroach in my room by the tea
- Verified traveler (2/5): Cockroaches - I was extremely disappointed with my recent stay at this hotel. Upon entering the room, everything seemed fine at first, but then I noticed a cockroach scuttling across the floor. It was a clear sign of poor cleanliness and lack of pest control. I immediately notified the front desk, but the response was less than reassuring. They offered to change rooms, but the experience left me feeling uneasy and unsatisfied. The other rooms had cockroaches too. Bed is so hard and sheets were dirty. Will never recommend this hotel to anyone. They need to shut down.
- Emmanuel (4/5): - The staff were friendly but our room was infested with cockroaches
They shifted to another room, that was even worse
They tried to give us a third room but we refuse to move
- Emmah (10/5): - Amazing rooms, customer service.
- Sergejs (6/5): - Hotel administrator not dear me deaf, I not like
- Sian (4/5): Nightmare - We booked as a quick stop over night to get our heads down for sleep while we waited for our friend to arrive on the flight after us.
We didn’t want to pay too much but something that was close to the Airport.
Arrived at 1am due to flight delay.
Got taken to our room that smelt of smoke.
Creatures crawling on bathroom floor!
Bathroom so dirtier than a muddy football team!
We couldn’t sleep as there was a nightclub in the hotel that is open till 3am. We were leaving at 6.30pm so on my got under 3hours sleep!
I wouldn’t recommend even for a quick stop!
- Barbara J (2/5): Don't go there - Dump, we only needed it for a few hours while we waited for our flight any longer and we would have walked out, disgusting place.
- Yvonne Anne (6/5): Short stop - Not the best but close to work
- SUJITH (2/5): Terrible… - The fact that I was sent a link to write this review proves that i had a confirmed booking. But the hotel reception outright refused to acknowledge the confirmation claming they dont know about hotels.com. So I had to find another hotel to stay. And what is amusing is that i booked another hotel for the next day onwards from the same group - Fortune Group. And they had no issues.
- Sherouk (2/5): Most terrible experience - One of the worst experiences I've ever had in Dubai. They first gave us a room full of cockroaches (4-5 cockroaches running inside the bathroom). We changed rooms but the quality wasn't any better. Really old rooms, with old furniture and primitive bathrooms. Absolutely horrible service, cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ahmed (10/5): - Lovely
- Harvey (6/5): Departing the UAE - My stay at the hotel was very good the rooms are clean services great Needs some work in the bathroom Showerhead And sprayer or not working don’t work properly.
- Verified traveler (10/5): BEST ECONOMIC HOTEL - AMAZING
- Verified traveler (4/5): Bad hotel and poor guest management system... - The stay was not at all felt like a comfort place for family... everywhere a dim feel... hotel management prefer guests who are coming for bachelor enjoyment... front desk staff behavior like they are the ustomers and guests as their suppliers! The lighting inside the room and corridor very poor, location is good those who are looking...cleaness is very poor...found cockoches, bugs etc. In the toilet! Hotel staff discourage online bookings....I think hotel.com should remove this hotel from their list
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Near to airport and reasonable price.Nice staff.I liked it.
- Divina (6/5): - No floor mat in the toilet so was slippery
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The hotel property is a bit old, so if you are looking for a modern new hotel, not this one. The toilets were dirty and not clean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very convenient stay between Dubai and Sharjah/Ajman Emirates
- Heinz (8/5): - Nice Hotel for Stopover near Airport Terminal 2
- moe (2/5): - This is an unfortunate experience in a great city. A deceiving information ab the hotel apartment that people chose for having a washer and dryer that was my reason to chose this place
Expedia site advertising a gracious hotel with some harsh realities. Expedia description states washer dryer and free local calls.
No single studio or apartment has a washer or any inside laundry service. I complained to reception, sir no other choice he denied the info I printed Expedia and this fraudulent information he said you have no choice money already paid. No laundry service but an expensive outside one. No apology or courtesy for this inconvenience, rooms were not cleaned on daily basis and smells like a dirty ashtray
They have a bar downstairs and on the 1 st floor what looks like a club with Arab dancers a super loud noise every night till three 3 AM. I pointed this out don’t worry sir I’ll place you on a higher floor (3rd) true away from the club noise but facing a highway and train station. I used my noise reduction earphones during my entire stay.
Parking is like a driving challenge super narrow driveway to the basement I prayed not to damage my rented Audi. I street parking up with two 150 Dirhams parking tickets. Front disk employee lacking a common sense to a disturbing point not to keep my passport hours after reservation and I have to realize I didn’t get it back. a business center windows 5 and to print the reception wrote me his email to print personal file
- yousef (2/5): - Bad hotel pls remove of you r list, so old and noise , no car park
- lio (2/5): Dirty old don’t stay here - It has a bunch night clubs that make noise till 4 am. Windows are not double so you hear cars that from the high way.
- Priya (4/5): Unfriendly and unhelpful front desk! - A poor experience, high handed attitude from the front desk! This was our first point of contact; hence everything from there on was downhill. The hotel itself is very average, the common restrooms have no toilet paper and no help offered either!
- LaTonya J Carroll (10/5): Great stay for a long layover - Allowed me to check in early and even upgraded me to a single one bed since I was traveling alone. Very friendly staff.
- Nikhil (10/5): - I was pleasant and staff also very good...
- Jawaid (8/5): Good hotel location and service - Comfortable stay. Very quick check in and good service
- Verified traveler (8/5): - 1st floor and very noisy due to clubs at mezzanine
- Verified traveler (6/5): loud nightclubs - they have so many night clubs in the hotel with loud music playing all night. Cant sleep.
- Verified traveler (8/5): I booked for a guest and he really liked. Nicely. - They need some performance for a fast growing hotel in a very good location quietly. They are treatment is professional.
- Jonh (2/5): Terrible hotel - The worst room I've ever seen. I booked a non-smoking room but its smell was very smoky, no windows, no service. I strongly not recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): It was pleasant stay - Pleasure staying in this hotel, this is my 10th trip
- Verified traveler (6/5): Horrible network, baby cockroach are in toilet - Horrible network, it was not working all three days. If they say free network, they should have taken care of this. Baby cockroach are in toilet and rooms, I asked them to do pest control
- Ray (8/5): Stay at Fortune Hotel - The place wasn't bad. It's about 15 minutes away from the city but it's in a quiet area. The staff was great and very cooperative. Not matte what I needed they were very personable. If you want to be away from the city, this is the perfect spot!
- Ahmed (10/5): Amazing short stay in dubai - was Amazing
- Derek (8/5): Convenient and clean hotel. - Room was very nice and clean. A great value. Close to Dubai airport Terminal 2.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very comfy hotel nice staff and decent ambience . - An overall decent place - the breakfast spread could do better
- Verified traveler (6/5): no bad close to the metro and cheap - a far away little bit from downtown but is close to metro station ,so you can go eveywhere
they have a many night clube in first floor botherd my sleep, but they change my room after 4 days to second floor it was goood room no noises and calm an huge room
the staff very frindly accepte staff claining they Plagiarizing in their work

- vakar (2/5): Very dirty and smelly, broken bathroom . - Very dirty and horrible experience..
Never been to such a bad hotel
- mustafa (6/5): Nice location in old Dubai - Location wise good, but under staffed, they put you in smoking room and it suffocates.
Room tidiness is not good.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Is close to the metro. - Its was good hospitality but refused to issue my receipt.
Kindly can you mail my invoice/ receipt?.
- Rica (8/5): Close to metro station - Nice location, close to the metro.. very accommodating and helpful staff.. photos displayed are really close to the actual rooms (unlike other hotel ads).. good breakfast varieties, but it would be better if menu changes everyday.. and i wish there will be female housekeepers. I travelled alone. I'd feel more safe and more comfortable if there'd be female service masters
- Sam (2/5): That was my big mistake to booked at this hotel. - Hotel smells not clean. Noise of music all night. Nothing good
- Cristian (4/5): Bad and sour experience in this hotel - The hotel shall not be use for westerners whatsoever, has a very strong cooking smell because people in fact cook inside rooms. I asked for a quite room, and I received first a room at the first floor close to a space where was a party. I request a new one and they was trying to move me at third floor in a twin bed room, against my written request of having a double bed. Finally, I got another room with double bed, but the card access system was broken. The bathroom literally a mess. Drain from the sink was not proper maintain and NO HOT WATER.
- Verified traveler (8/5): nice Stay - Stay was nice. very nice 3 star hotel. only the problem is location which is very far.
- Nassar (6/5): Awesome break-fast... Choose if you have a car - Hi...
First time I enjoyed such a sumptuous line up of break-fast dishes in a budget type Hotel in Dubai. Not so 3-Star kind facility but great stay considering the value I paid. Low light in the bathroom was a bit off-putting.
Location is suitable only for those who drive or ready to travel on Metro a distance. Dancing bars of different category of nationalities for those who want to chill your nights, may not give peace for decent families in the night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel near to the airport - So comfort , very good hotel , near from the aiport
So comfort , very good hotel , near from the aiport
So comfort , very good hotel , near from the aiport
- syed (8/5): - It was good
- Lynda (8/5): Hotel good for airport, approximately 10mins - A very good, Comfortable, clean hotel with all the essentials. Breakfast included, something for everyone. Although, it looks more for working men as no women seen just men. As the only female with my partner I did not feel intimidated.
- john (6/5): good - it was good, just it was far away from other amenities
- Andy (2/5): Worst hotel I have ever stayed in! - Booked for two nights, checked out after one night.
After numerous attempts to activate my room access card, was informed that the lock was broken and I would have to call a member of staff each time I wanted to get into my room!
Room was designated as 'non-smoking' but had clearly been a venue for an excessive smokers convention. Stinking.
My colleagues room had a broken safe, which he requested to be repaired or replaced. It was removed and never replaced.
Other minor things; no batteries in TV remote, threadbare towels. All contribute to overall terrible experience.
When speaking to the duty manager and advising why we were checking out early, telling him it was the worst hotel I had ever stayed in, his reply was "I accept that"!
Avoid at all costs - you have been warned!
- Verified traveler (2/5): The reception staff was not professional at all. - Was not at all happy. Reception staff were unprofessional. The basement parking was stinking. Found hairs in bath tub.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst hotel! - Staff seems like they dont know what there doing, the room was not clean, smell like smoke.. Had breakfast the other day, no one even greeted us, food was terrible, no staff on the buffet to assist us, we even call them in the back area in think to give us some water.. Worst ever!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Its ok but problem in if i invite any guests. - It tooks time to find my booking even though i booked earlier.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very accomodating and very quick - It was a great experience.. had to make an altearation to the booking.. it was done with no trouble at all, requested parking and that too was granted... reached the hotel early and i could have breakfast too for a nominal fee which was awesome as then i didnt have to waste time waiting in the lobby for an early checkin.
- Basra Blue (6/5): Business Stay. - Ideally situated for our business needs. The area is well serviced for shops of all types, the metro, cabs and busses. The choice of onsite entertainment was varied to say the least.
The room tally system would benefit from being brought into the 21st century however which made checking out a nightmare when we had a plane to catch. This spoilt the stay especially as it was 0600 and Im not a morning person. This had to be sorted out after departure and was painlessly achieved by the hotel's backroom staff who were professionalism personified.
The hotel would benefit from a no smoking policy in the bars. Despite these issues I will stay there again when in Dubai mainly because of the staff.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I had no issues as claimed the hotel was up to what was said on the website just the music was little high
Also I think there shouldnt be any sprits in the minibar
- Anand (6/5): Enjoyed it - They should have more parking. I had to park half a km away.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Bed covers were torn and towels were not clean with holes. Room was noisy because there was a club in the first floor.
- salah (8/5): one night stay - The staff very friendly, and I did not have any big issues except the light in the bathroom need to be more bright.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Don't recomend - The hotel has like 5 night clubs in the Mezanino floor. You can't sleep in the first floor untill 3am due to the noise. Reception staff are nice, but I didn't think the cleanliness satisfatory, even for the price.
- Richard (8/5): Great Stay - Great stay as always when I travel to Dubai. I always stay at the FPH.
- Mohammed (8/5): Great stay - Everythings was okay. they just need to solve the internet connections speed
- AMANDA (4/5): Terrible! - First off, you must park on the street. I was so tired by the time I arrived at the hotel that I didn't notice that you had to PAY for parking on the street. No one at the check in desk reminded me or said anything about parking. I handed in my ID documents, which they insisted on keeping over night and headed up to my room. My room just so happened to be on the same floor with a very loud night club that didn't close until 3 am. Never again will I stay in this hotel just because of that! The next morning we checked out and headed on our way. We didn't realize until we went to check in to a different hotel that night that the Fortune did not give us back out ID documents. I called the Fortune and they said that they did not have our documents. After taking everything out of my car and searching everywhere, I called the hotel again. This time he said, "Oh yes, we have them!"
Terrible!! Don't put yourself through the torture!
- Mohammed (8/5): - Everythings Comfortable and nice.. but hope they can upgrade WiFi internet Speed for better.
- Fuad (8/5): Rate Misinformed - The stay was good although, the rate listed on hotels.com is misinformed; Since hotels.com listed room at $40 and with taxes and fees it came to $43. But at the hotel, the reception desk staff demanded another fee which now totals up to $51. Either the hotel staff ripped me off OR hotels.com misinformed rate. Payment experience was extremely poor.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Dirty and load. Bars playing music till 4am every night.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Hotel good.far from city centre - Everything else is good .clean.but nite time they do clubs which is horrible can not sleep properly because of noisy environment
- Glenn (8/5): Great Place for the Money - A budget hotel with some first class amenities. Worked well for me because I arrived by car. Underground parking. Excellent breakfast buffet. Wifi was fine. Located close to the airport but on the opposite side from the main international terminals.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Loud and not clean - Not clean and noisy. Pubs and clubs in the building. Music until 4am in the morning, every day.
- AMIN (6/5): good location - Night clubs are a nuisance otherwise it was fine. They need to get clubs out of the hotels
- Verified traveler (8/5): - ok but nightclub downstairs is a bit noisey. indian food in hotel restaurant excellent
- June (8/5): Nice hotel - Good hotel with good facilities. Customer service was great. Enjoyed using the fitness centre and swimming pool.
- Verified traveler (6/5): If you are looking for a South Indian Dance Club.. - Stayed at the Fortune Plaza because I had an early morning flight out of DXB. The hotel itself was nice and the service was great. The only down side was that the hotel has 6 or so dance clubs so I could hear the beat from my room, though honestly, the sound of the AC was far louder.
- Prajeesh (2/5): Poor coustomer satisfaction - The hotel itself and most of the staff is good. Comfortable stay, but the hotel charged me twice using my card details without my consent and refuse to refund.
- Krishna (8/5): Nice Hotel and very good staff - I usually do not write reviews but am writing this because of the staff. I stayed at 308 flew from NY the staff was pleasant, my special thanks to Haroon, Vivek and suresh (Manager) you guys are awesome made me feel like am at home. Its little far from downtown but near to airport.
Vivek is a great guy, very helpful and he guided me most as it was my first trip to dubai, there are night clubs in the hotel but were not of my standard so usually was out.
Finally guys you all rock and are awesome.
- Verified traveler (8/5): good - nice
- NAGESH (6/5): family atmosphere - Its good, but near to this restaurant are very less.
- Saleh (2/5): never stay at it! - Never stay at this hotel. Dirty and noisy.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Not injoing hotel for staying - The internet in the room is extremely bad so I can not communicate or go to my E-mail except if I used the cellular phone internet
- sakthe krishnaa (8/5): Good hotel close to the airport - Fortune plaza is a good 3 star hotel near airport but far away from but Dubai or deira.all the 7 night clubs are good with each club having different theme.
Breakfast is average.
Tharavad restaurant is awesome for its lunch and dinner
- stewart (6/5): Comfortable stay - This is the second time we have stayed here and it's quite a comfortable hotel. A little noisey from the night club on the first level however this is the norm in Dubai and not a major concern. It's good value for what you pay and in a good position.
- not happy (2/5): Bad smell - The room had a sewer smell coming from the bathroom drain. When we request for a different room they put us next to the night club. I have some issues with hearing house music beats late into the night. I am not going to stay with Fortune Plaza Hotel in Dubai again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): great stay - good stay
- gary (8/5): Good, but needs wi-fi in the room - This is nice hotel in a good location. Disadvantages are that there is no Wi-Fi in the room.
- Mohammad (8/5): Surprise - I initially booked this hotel for three nights and then planning to move Sheraton Deira where I normally stay whenever I travel to Dubai.
The Hotel was much better than my expectations so I decided to stay here for all 11 nights of my Dubai Stay. It is close to the Metro station (just five minutes walk). Staff was very helpful. Internet was free but very slow in room.
Very good Hotel for a Price i Paid.
- Tariq M (10/5): Will definitely stay again at same price. - For the money ($45++) definitely an exceptional value. Fairly good location and easy access. Eateries nearby. Clean room with all amenities, good size. Excellent housekeeping, friendly staff. No negatives. If you want a comfortable nights stay without paying too much, this hotel is good.
- khaled (8/5): Good hotel for cheap price - It was good with reasonable price. But dontstay in the first floor if you want to sleep early. The bathroon is just fine
- joe (8/5): nice hotel..decent area..good price - this is a decent hotel..has restaurant and bar downstairs...it is about a 5 minute walk to metro train.Airport Free Zone Stn..about 40 minutes to Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall...i would recommend to spend a little more money and stay within Union station side of Burj Khalifa..that way you are much closer to Burj Khalifa,Dubai mall,Emirates mall and other main sites....the Metro gets very busy at most stations from Union station and beyond to Airport free zone station..it takes about 2 hours from hotel to Atlantis Palms by metro then Tram then Monorail..exhausting!!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Very dirty - Not recommended..
Untrained staff.. rooms are smelly.. very noisy.. no insulation. Rooms are worn out.. I asked for a wake up call to go to airport, and no one called.. and when I tried to complain, the guy throw at my face the manager business card and asked me to call him.
- rajesh (8/5): Good location - Breakfast they provide is too hot & has lot of chili, the south India food preperation is the worst tase, they need to improve, other than this all is good
- Verified traveler (8/5): Worth staying - Definitely Recommned
- Digna (8/5): OK Hotel not bad. Huge rooms!! - Rooms are big and very clean. Neighbor is ok.
- N J (6/5): The hotel needs improvement in many areas - Wifi is given to only one device.
Avoid this hotel during cricket matches, coz service is pathetic then.
The other restaurant takes hours to deliver the orders!
Location depends on the need of the person. Close to metro.
Rest is fine.
- Ashoor (6/5): Not recommended for business trip. - Quiet area, far from metro station and surround commercial area , recommend for holiday but not for business trip, room atmosfar is no good, very noisy from the many of nights club in the hotel, door not secure and many insectos in the room. High price for bad service.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Room for Improvement - The hotel is situated in the older part of Dubai which is great if you want to use the metro line and have easy access to local restaurants, cafes & barber shops. Easy to get to and from the airport with a taxi as well. Disappointed with the 4 dance clubs on the mezzanine level as the thumping music travelled into my 1st floor room until 3-4am. I was in Dubai for a business conference so having a good night’s rest was important. Trying to stay ontop of work emails was rather difficult with an extremely slow internet (wifi)connection. A new username & password had to be requested from reception daily as it expires. The gym & pool should be open at 5am for people who would like an early start. Rooms were neat and cleaned daily.
- Charlie (6/5): Skip breakfast! - The hotel was acceptable, but not especially cost effective. It was difficult to locate and, once we got there, we discovered that it had run out of maps that would have helped us pinpoint its location. The staff was nice, the bed comfortable, the TV good, etc. but the breakfast was mediocre, especially compared to alternatives in the immediate vicinity. The internet was very slow.
- Mahdi (4/5): Poor services overall - Found it hard to mention something good and positive in this hotel.
Poor sevices overall: Poor internet service, broken fridge, broken AC, poor room service (poorly cleaned room), water in the pool was not cleaned as well. Nit even a good breakfast service.
Worst hotel experience ever
- MESDE (10/5): - Facilities: Nice ; Value: Economical; Service: Remarkable; Cleanliness: Beautiful;
- James (6/5): Good Value For Money - - Service could be improved
- Lunch and Dining facilities at the hotel are convenient and quite ok.
- Wifi works well
- My room was a little noisy due to the doors having gaps all around allowing the sounds from the room next door to come through.
- Shower was warm
- Dalia (6/5): very far form downtown - stayed only for one night so i didn't have time to experience it well
