Guest Reviews
- Rome (10/5): - Nice central location and shops 711 and supermarket nearby
- prachail2016 (2/5): This is what I do not expect especially smell of cigarettes - Spacious room with nice decoration and smell of cigarette even non smoking sign is placed in the room. Located on the main road so noisy from traffic is expected for sure for whole day and night. Don't know why they put dirty 2 duvets in my room cabinet. Many restaurants and streen side stalls are nearby and 2 convenient stores. WIFI is sucked !! Can't download anything even one photo in facebook !!
- Nadezda (6/5): - The location around the hotel was not good: busy street, noisy and no place to go even for a short walk.
No shopping at all: you have to take a taxi/bolt and ride for 30-40 to closest mall.
- 812hienp (2/5): Thieves! - Beware this hotel. They refuse to refund my ASQ booking as per the agreement, despite my repeated efforts via email. The amount is 26,900 baht, less 25% as a donation I offered. This constitutes theft. I had to cancel the trip for august 1st as the Thai Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City is currently closed and not issuing visas due to a Covid lockdown.I just lodged a complaint with the Thai Ombudsman.
- carmentP6237IB (8/5): Best luxurious hotel - Bangkok is one of our prime destination for our holiday and business. M2 de Bangkok Hotel is our most favourite hotel to stay in Thailand. Front desk staff could speak good English, and they are so friendly, attentive and polite. Our room was spacious and very clean with modern design.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Will highly recommend to my friends - The staff in the front counter are friendly and very helpful.
- azsos (10/5): A Hidden GEM - I Stayed for 3 Nights. WOW Great FREE Breakfast Daily
Newly Upgraded Room and Helpful Staff including Sudalad Saruailam in the Breakfast room. Also the G.M.
Noppron Sompong Was Very helpfull in recommendations for Local Places . My 3rd time to Bangkok Wish I Had found this Gem sooner.. 5 MRT stations close by plus Mo Chit Station BTS also.
WILL Definitely be Back Again

- robtrinh (6/5): Nothing special - My fiance and I chose to stay here in terms of it's proximity to his apartment. His family was visiting and we gave them his apartment and we opted to stay at a hotel.
I normally take photos of the hotels I stay in because they're normally beautiful resorts. This hotel was not worth taking up storage on my iPhone. We stayed on the 4th floor in a king bed corner suite. Our view was the highway which I don't mind, and the noise didn't bother me since I sleep with ear plugs. The hotel shakes a little which I also didn't mind. What I thought was weird was the king bed has two single frames underneath it but instead of going vertical, it goes horizontal so regardless of laying on the right or left side, you both end up in the middle as the bed concaves. Tsk tsk.
There are images of men and woman naked throughout the hotel and in the rooms, which I don't mind but I can't comprehend the styling and image this hotel is branding itself as.
Our bathroom tub was big enough to fit 2 people comfortably but regardless of shower or bath tub use, the water would leak and go into the bathroom and in the drain near the toilet so the floor would be wet. Clearly there's a problem with this specific tub. I wouldn't be surprised if other rooms encountered the same leakage. The water pressure and temperature was bleak but at least the AC in the room worked well.
Since I booked this hotel off of Agoda, they wanted 1000 B upon check in and would give it back to me upon check out.
Perhaps its just me but this hotel seemed to be owned by Chinese Thai people so there was no sense of Thai hospitality, it was all very cold and uninviting. I will not be staying here again, next time I'm going to the Sofitel, or any other high end hotels where their reputation exceeds themselves.
- Chiang (8/5): Taxi Route to M2 De Bangkok - There's no Taxi route map provide by the Hotel's website so the taxi driver encounter a problem to locate this hotel.
- Bat (6/5): Ok hotel in noisy area - For the price I expected a slightly better hotel but it was ok for my purposes. Room was small but clean and the breakfast could have been better. I have been in better hotels in this price range. I would not recommend it unless you need to be in this area.
- Keng (8/5): Moderate boutique hotel - Close area to metropolitan but some basic hotel facilities like toothbrush kits are additional charges which is unacceptable.
- G1852NMmikev (8/5): Comfortable hotel in Bangkok - We have been at Bangkok for 3 nights for attending our company conference there. We got a recommendation from our colleague to stay at this most comfortable hotel. Hotel's lobby is very nice design and convenience for seating. Our room was huge and clean with modern decore.
- funkyvic69 (4/5): Not great location - Stayed there from 8th to 10th of July. First off had to pay B500 cash deposit!!!!! Not by credit card!! Malls were like 20 to 30 mins by Uber and no banks or money exchange anywhere within walking distance. We Ubered to Centara Watergate on Pratunam instead because of convenience. Having stayed at Centara Watergate for 2 nights this M2 De Bangkok felt like a motel. Most front desk staff didn't speak or understand English well. Breakfast spread was a sad sight. No warmers to keep food warm. Disappointed experience.
- Andy01england (10/5): Small Luxury Hotel in Bangkok - M2 de Bangkok hotel is one of the best hotel which i used to experience. Hotel's room was very clean with modern design and facilities. Lobby's area was so inviting with friendly receptionist. Breakfast was a bit limited but it's acceptable.
- Footprints701862 (8/5): Just a nice hotel in Bangkok - This hotel looks great for its luxury design with the modern interior and exterior decoration. We were provided a quick check in and escorted by the doorman to our room. Receptionist and doorman there were very friendly and knowledgeable about Bangkok. But the hotel itself is a bit far from the downtown and other main tourist site. Anyhow, it is one of the nice hotels for us.
- photogatherer (2/5): Dirty hotel from the early 1990s seemed like a place for sex tourists - Sorry, I don't often write reviews unless places are exceptional great or terrible and this place was at the bottom of the stack. I book a particular class of room (4 stars and up) and I pay the price for it so that I can have a particular standard of cleanliness and comfort. This place was rated 4 stars a tad more than other hotels, but the pictures and reviews were alright.
I really tried to give them a chance, but the first room they gave me was a cigar box, which i rejected immediately as i'm a non smoker, ok. The second room was the same except they had housekeeping spray it with chemicals, no thank you. The third room didn't smell bad, but I was picking pubic hairs off the top, under and in between bed sheets and putting them in the managements hands and then opened the pillow cases to find that they were the colors of bananas. UNBELIEVABLY GROSS!
I get training staff issues and meeting a particular standard can be tough, but when i brought the issue up to management, they shrugged their shoulders and couldn't see anything wrong with the room. At that point obviously i had to leave, to which they violently refused to give me a refund. ---> So whats my recourse, telling you all about it online.
If you want comfort, cleanliness and care this is NOT the place!
- N4347PNmartinj (6/5): Reasonable place - On first glance this hotel looks fantastic. The wife and I wanted to stay in a nice hotel from r on r last 5 nights in Thailand 🇹🇭. We picked this hotel being close to our friends house. The reception was nice with a friendly lady but the man looked not happy. I went up to our room and it was nice, very 70's style and decor. I went to use the wifi and it didn't work. I phone reception and they fixed. About 2 hrs goes by and the wifi not work again. Phoned again they fixed my it. This went on for 4 days till I complained and this time sent a technical guy and it worked well from then on. The Tv only had 5 thai channel. The bed was very comfortable with soft pillows. The deal come with breakfast but was very ordinary with a cold buffet, should have been hot.
Aircon worked well. It is a nice place but a bit over priced for what it is. Can get a lot better deals. Outside was a little limited for any restaurants with mainly street food, which after 3 months in Thailand I finally got sick. Bad kow pat gai. Short stay ok if going to Don Mueung Airport.
- Kaatz1971 (4/5): Terrible location and communication - Upon check in we discovered that all the staff couldn't speak English which made communication very difficult, we requested a twin room which was mentioned again before we went up to our room and we were given a double which needed to be changed with difficulty.
The room we were put into was nice clean and modern. Wifi was hit and miss.
The location of the hotel was not in the city it was in fact in the middle of no where on a highway and around 40mins from central Bangkok and once again we could not communicate to the staff on how to get to the centre of Bangkok.
Following this after an hour of being here we booked ourselves into another hotel in a central location.
If you are in Bangkok as a tourist then avoid this hotel.
- j_v_t_ht (10/5): Most comfortable hotel in Bangkok - We've been to Bangkok for 3 nights and we stayed with this small luxury hotel during our business trip there. From a quick check-in at the moodern designed reception area to bellboy service, and comfortable room, this hotel also located near the sky train too.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location for go to downtown - I always stay here. It"s surrounding more convenience go to any where but good for transpotation go to airport or downtown.
- stevenlP2887AG (10/5): Great Stay In Bangkok - We chose this luxury small hotel by the recommendation from our firend (John) who just live near this hotel. The hotel was nice design with its own unique concept and service. All staffs were very friendly and could communicated in English. There are a lot of local restaurant around this hotel too. Great choice!!!
- Scott (8/5): Freeway convenient location - We have family who live nearby and frequently stay at this hotel. Freeway adjacent with some parking. Rooms are clean and nicely serviced. Food stalls, 7-11 and Tesco mini very close. Have never been dissatisfied.
- 415faizan (6/5): Location is a miss - The hotel location is not good at all, we had atleast 10 taxis outright refused to bring us back due to it being outside their preferred zones. You cant even rely on the metro/BTS as nearest ones are not within reasonable walking distance in the Bangkok heat.
Breakfast was the worst part of the stay. Cold each morning and options were not good at all. Stale bread and what tasted like left over noodles.
Free wifi available which worked ok, aircon was great and bathroom facilities are also good.
No aircon in lift and lobby area which was uncomfortable.
- harish_c_shah (6/5): Business visit - Rooms were good but had problem with food as only non veg food was available,. Even for breakfast, we had to order omlette seperately that was chargeable. Staff were courteous. Hot kettle facilities in the room along with tea coffee was not available. Language was a major concern as only the manager spoke in English and rest staff knew only Thai.
- ClubFred6 (8/5): Great Stay. - This is a new hotel with lovely rooms, well designed and finished. The decor is alluring, and relaxing. This place is also great value for money,
I stayed here because I wanted to find a hotel close to the Mo Chit2 Bus Station (for an early morning Departure to Siem Reap) because, on another booking site, this hotel is shown as in the Mochit area. While this is true, Mochit area, and Mo Chit2 Bus station are two different things, so this was my mistake.
- werdna (8/5): Just a quick overnight stay - We stayed here as it was (relatively) close to the Mo Chit bus terminal. The hotel was very clean & comfy so served its purpose well. BUT .... it's distant from the city centre, there are few touristy facilities in the neighbourhood.
- kalaiselvanv (8/5): 1st Experience been in Bangkok - It's was my first time to visit Bangkok and it's ultimately awesome since we were on our company trip. We stayed in M2 De Bangkok Hotel for four consecutive days and the welcome and the treat given was fabulous. Even the place located out of town, yet I can feel the peace since all the business hours will be off by 9. If you wish to get a food or drinks. Only place available there is 7-Eleven. You might find it weird since you may come across with 7 to 8 7-Eleven's in a short row. The foods are awesome with bread, sausages, pasta, Salad's. Well if u r pork lover...this is the place..you may find it in every corner and different varieties. Unfortunately, I don't take pork so the food wise become an issue for me. Apart that, My rating will be 4 Star overall.
- Milosturgis (6/5): Not easy to get to this hotel. - I got off the BTS sky train at the last stop, Mo Chit, and worked my way to some taxis parked outside the ChatuChat market. From looking at previous reviews I had a Thai friend copy the address of this hotel in Thai, as I read that many drivers were not familiar with this hotel location. This is actually not the case,......Thai taxi drivers are very selective about where they will take a fare,....based on how far, and how difficult getting to a particular location can be, given Bangkok traffic. After being turned down by no less than 10 drivers, I was frustrated and pissed off, but I finally managed to find a motorbike driver to take me to the hotel for 150 baht. That seemed high but it was raining and I just wanted to get to the hotel.
Check in was a breeze, staff was not particularly cordial, but my temper was not the best either. The room was clean, decent size, the bathroom was fine and the bed comfy. I did not feel the hotel "shaking" from the outside traffic as mentioned in many reviews. I did not eat there so cannot comment on the kitchen. An ok hotel, I would not feel compelled to stay there again, but it is plenty adequate for the price.
- umaboutique (6/5): Love a Little Tremor - Not a bad hotel if you're having something to do in and around the area. A bit shaky but that didn't bother me however noises could be heard down the hallway, especially from a group of tourists. Cool air-con, breakfast didn't look appealing and I was glad I didn't book a room that came with ABF
- Verified traveler (6/5): A bit far from bts station - The bathroom just surprised me a lot, reli suit for couples
- Martin (10/5): Recommended! - The hotel was in a great location for me due to the reason of my trip. If you are looking for a hotel downtown Bangkok, you might want to consider another hotel.
Taxi fares are very reasonable, you can get to downtown Bangkok for a few hundred baht, Central World for ~200 baht ($6-7).
- Terry (2/5): Disappointed - Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Room/Bathroom in need of redecoration, looking old and tired, lack of general facilities. Room service menu was just a piece of laminated paper. Bedside lamps unable to use as nowhere to plug in. Only 4 of the 8 ceiling lights worked. An army of tiny ants running around the walls/surfaces. Breakfast was limited, all the hot food was cold as all the lids had been left open, no fresh milk for tea/coffee. We were on the 4th floor and the building would rock quite substantially as though you were in an earthquake. Would only rate this hotel as a 2.5 star.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Nice design but disappoint service - Nice setup of hotel room but shower heater seems to be not working at night. Water turns from hot to cold after bathing for less than 2 mins. The Building keeps shaking due to heavy vehicle passing by the hotel. Not a hotel for people who has a light heart. I found out that bedsheet was only changed after 2days. Very disappointed in the service. The breakfast was disappointing as well. Ate for the first day and never went back again. Food was not replenish although the staff saw the empty tray.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Shaking hotel like at earthquake - Window broken-sound of motorway all night! Fungi smell in room. Wanted to charge me for old, dried out toothpaste which could not be used. Payed for breakfast. Buffet was empty at 9:30, only fruit and white toast left. On second day nothing then 3 toasts at same time and wanted to charge me for a drink even though I had two coupons cause of double bed room. Very unfriendly response... Hotel shakes all the time cause of traffic
- Oscar (8/5): comfortable and good room - bit far - this is a great hotel, the only downside is that the location is quite a bit away from downtown. it's a 15 min walk to the subway, but apart from the walk, everything else is good.
- Verified traveler (6/5): You can book better hotels at same price - Room is comfortable and clean. Smells a little. Hotel is too far from the MRT. You will need to walk at least 2-3 km. Hotel shakes at night, causing the bed to shake as well. Breakfast variety is not good. Can be better.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Disappointed - Hotel is reasonable for the price, but location and service are both horrible; for the same price you can stay in a better part of town with much better service.
- albert (8/5): good - Overall are good. only bed are shaking at night due to near highway.
- Albert (8/5): Modern hotel between Airport and the city center - The overall experience of the hotel was good and friendly.
- ning (8/5): - service was bad. booked for a room with king size bed but was given twin bed instead. staff refuse to change and gave reason being there's tour group and gave all the king size bed room to them. however, while walking to my room and saw there's king size bed room available.
- Asian (6/5): Ok hotel - The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly is far from the Bangkok center and malls, it also constantly shake like if an earthquake was happening is very close the highway.
- Pat (6/5): - Bld. was shaking at some level that we can feel on bed. My son forgot drawing board there and try call back hotel many times but nobody. We were back check in after trip and ask the front desk and get nothing. Disappointed for services.
- Mei Yee (6/5): Hotel very far from centre bangkok - Near chatuchak market only.
Toothbrush set and another need extra pay.Better don't use anything in room.
- Ron& Pauline (8/5): Ron & Pauline - The hotel staff were very helpful speaking reasonable English. All facilities were clean and comfortable, breakfast was a little disappointing with food not being hot,it had Asian and American . Being rocked to sleep has a whole new meaning with the building rocking after 9pm with large trucks allowed to enter Bangkok Central, this shouldn't put you off just another experience.
The local area is light industrial with very good street food on offer.
The staff will hail a metered taxi and tell them your destination, there is a train and sky rail within 15 minutes walk.
- Tina (10/5): Spacious, clean and good facilities - This was the best hotel I stayed at in Thailand. Big comfortable bed. Great shower. Good views and plenty of room. The food downstairs was mediocre, but the staff were lovely.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good hotel, not walking distance to markets & malls - The entire hotel and room was excellent. I stayed in room 509. The whole building we guess was actually shaking cause it closes to the bridge. Take motorbike to any destination, it certainly save time to stuck in traffic and excited experience (the way they drive, omg I cant say more until you really get into that ride!!!!). Me and my husband love bangkok so much!!!
- E Thomas (8/5): Very nice hotel - The hotel is really nice for the price. We stayed here because our friend lives close by. Otherwise, I don't think I would stay here because it is a bit far from Bangkok's main attractions.
- tip (6/5): close to the main street, easy to travel by bus - room was not clean enough with low rate flow of water in the bathroom
- Peter (4/5): Not the best choice, good for only one night. - Internet not free as stated in the description. Only 3 hours free, than high charges. Hotel is shaking from 4 th floor onwards. I was not believing it, but it is really disturbing. Location is not good if you are looking for a nice surrounding. Allover I would not come again.
- Shawn (8/5): Good place to stay - We send a one night here, the front desk is very helpful, good location to the airport.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Married - Good and clean
- Cat (8/5): Great hotel I would recommend - Great for a few nights to get some sleep. Rooms are big snd comfortable in fact very considering the very reasonable prices.
- Sanna (8/5): Mixed feelings - As stated above, the cleanliness and the comfort is not an issue at all. The problem is the location of the Hotel. It is not convenient at all. We really need to take a taxi instead of walking (stated in the website it is a walking distance to Chatucak weekend market) to MoChit skytrain station in order for us to proceed on to other malls. And on top of that, some taxi drivers do not know how to get to the hotel, which i find it weird.
Because of that, we were conned by the taxi driver and he brought us to some dark alley and we had to walk back to our Hotel in the night. Due to this, we were afraid to get back to hotel at night and decided to end our shopping session early everyday.
Overall, i would love to go back to Bangkok for more shopping sessions but not to the same Hotel.
Thankyou.
- Verified traveler (2/5): not happy with stay - The hotel website lied and said it was "conveniently located by the airport and BTR train station" when it was an hour taxi ride to the airport and 20 min walk to the train station. The breakfast was not fresh, the rooms are too small, the hotel smells like people are smoking in the hallways, the customer service was not up to its reputation, the location was terrible as no taxis would want to take you that far north of the city, the beds were uncomfortable and it was just a bad experience in general. I will not be staying here next time.
- Nick (8/5): good value - Helpful staff.location a bit away but this is your choice.free parking
- Verified traveler (4/5): Can u find it???? - Taxi drivers don't know where this hotel is. It took us two hours to get there from the airport and half an hour back!!
- Felix (8/5): - Facilities: Modern; Value: Affordable; Service: Sufficient; Cleanliness: Beautiful;
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Hotel was clean and seemed secure. Staff was pleasant and efficient, English was poor but able to communicate through gestures. Far from town center but taxi is inexpensive so it evens out with low cost of stay. Morning breakfast is not worth it even though its included. I would stay again.
- NewlyWedsInCairns (8/5): Excellent hotel, especially for Don Muang Airport - Superb quality and good value hotel, only 15 mins taxi to/from Don Muang airport. Located in the outer suburbs of BK, so it's a quick trip, even during rush-hour. Also a short taxi ride (35 baht) to either BTS or MRT stations, for getting in/out of the city.
- mark (8/5): close to central plaza - adequate room, drains smelt abit but overall hotel was in good condition
- Ashley (6/5): Trendy style but out of the way - My friends & I stayed here for one week during a trip to Bangkok. The hotel itself had a nice ambiance & trendy decor. My room was very clean & housekeeping was great. My only complaint would be with the older front desk clerk who worked in the evenings. He was extremely rude, never said greeted us, and made it seem like we were an inconvenience to him whenever we had a question. Additionally, he told us there was no train station within walking distance, which there was.
On a final note, I would recommend this place for a short stay but not for long term exploration of the city. PS if you do stay here I would recommend Touch Cafe down the street from the hotel, their coffees are fantastic!
- Kylie (4/5): - Facilities: Nothing special; Service: Polite;
Was not very clean , had a funny smell , very noisey
- Verified traveler (4/5): good room but zero service - I stayed in the hotel for 1 night before departing to samui on the 17th nov. The hotels location is a big problem. Thought if we ould have hired a cab from swarnbhumi it wold have costed us 1500thb. However we took an express train from the international airport to phaya thai the red line it costed only 90thb per person from there we changed over to bts green line to mo chit (chatachuk market station) the last station which was only 30thb. From there we hired a cab for the hotel which costed us only 80thb.
Now the problem is the address for the hotel says dindaeng whereas dindaeng is somewhere else and the taxi guy took us all around different places.
The actual location for the hotel is khokaeng. Which is not available any where and non of the taxi guys know abt this hotel i was literaly showing my hotel card to taxi drivers as they could hardly understand me and visa versa anx non of themknew abt the hotel. Getting to the hotel was a problem. Now finally when we reached there the hotel staff does not speak good english and not very friendly. On our arrival they never asked us for any welcome drinks or anything. They did not provide a bell boy to even take our luagage to the room untill we insisted.
Though i must say that the room was fantastic and beautiful. Really well made and nice linen all over. In the end i would good room bad service.
- Kal (4/5): not bad, but not again. - Room was clean. The main issue with the hotel was that the whole hotel would shake from the traffic. It was amazing, like being in a earthquake...the bed would sway every few mins. I told the reception and they were aware, but there was nothing they could do. Also it is too far from all the the main areas like silom.
- Cat (8/5): Good clean cheap experiance. - Good for me as my clients are local. Good clean cheap experiance. Would recommend.
- Rana (6/5): Not a 4-star hotel as expedia claims!!!!!! - Room and beds very confy, though very small.
Breakfast and rstaurant very disappointing.
Area was a bit far from main attraction, but taxis and 7/11 were close by.
- Sun Shine (8/5): Very fine room in every respect - A great staff, wonderful room, a outstanding value
- dtnguyen62 (6/5): Good hotel at reasonable rate ! - Room is perfect clean and comfortable, hotel staffs are nice and kind.
However, location is not so good as it is right at one of the busiest corners in Bangkok where traffic jams happened everyday everyhour ! A bit far from downtown of Bangkok, takes about 45 minutes to an hour by taxi to Patpong area during rush hours due to heavy traffic. But can be considered a convenient location as it is in between Airport and Bangkok center.
- john (8/5): good value - modern and clean with good service. Good rate offered through Hotels.com.
- Yoshihiko (8/5): - Facilities: Good; Value: Moderate; Service: Professional; Cleanliness: Lovely;
far from center of BBK ,near to a airport
