- Zhuo (10/5): - My first choice when staying in Taipei. I was upgraded to a bigger and nicer room this time as a returning guest—a gesture I appreciated. Free breakfast was a good mixture of Chinese and Western options.
- Victor (6/5): - I erroneously assumed this is part of the Fullerton chain in Asia. It was not! They just named themselves The Fullerton. Not nice. I booked the "Fullerton Room" assuming it was the signature room. It was a small room with one side of the bed only 2 ft away from the sliding door to the toilet/ bathroom. The bathroom has one switch which turns on/off the lights and heating at the same time. It was considerate to have heating in the bathroom but there should be 2 separate switches for personal choices. We were there for 3 nights, 31°C!!! You get the picture. The breakfast was ok. No other onsite restaurants. The one only positive is its proximity to a major MRT station.
- Zhuo (10/5): - Fullerton is my first choice when visiting Taipei. I have stayed here many times. Love the kindness of the staff, vicinity to MRT, excellent breakfast and many dining options nearby.
- AxelGas (8/5): Good Value and Convenient Location Near MRT - I stayed at Taipei Fullerton South with my dad for a short getaway, and overall, it delivered solid value. The entry-level room was modern, clean, and comfortable — nothing overly special, but definitely good for the price. Check-in was fast and smooth, and the receptionist even gave us an early check-in. And the staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The location is a real plus: just a short walk (under 5 minutes) to the MRT red line, which makes exploring the city very easy. You can even catch a view of Taipei 101 on the walk from the station, which was a nice touch. Facilities like the gym are a bit dated, but that didn’t really affect the stay much. Breakfast, however, was extremely crowded — it seems like everyone gets it included — and the spread itself was fairly standard hotel fare, nothing particularly exciting. Still, it did the job before heading out for the day. (Although I would skip it and get some exciting Taiwanese fare nearby for cheap.) For the price, this hotel is a strong value option if you’re prioritising convenience and a modern room. Personally, I’d probably try a different hotel next time — but if you’re looking for budget-friendly comfort near the MRT, this is a very solid choice.
- Chia-Shing (8/5): - The location is very convenient and steps away from the metro station. While it is on the main road, good noice insulation means you don’t hear the traffic or the elevated trains that go by. Breakfast buffet is just so so.

- Chris (10/5): - Location, location, location. The hotel is conveniently located near Da'an Station servicing two major subway lines. Taipei 101, CKS Memorial and Taipei Main Station are all a few stops away on the Tamsui-Xinyi line. You can also ride it all the way to visit Tamsui. Use Exit 4 which has escalator access to exit from Da'an Station. There's a 7-11 and a few tea shops between the station and the hotel. Many restaurants, including a soy milk shop, are nearby. My favorite part is there are two SOGO department stores about 15 minutes away by foot; I prefer the food court and the bakery at the Fuxing SOGO. The staff at the hotel were personable and helpful; I would give the staff 5+ stars. Breakfast was okay as the hot dishes were lukewarm at most. The only real negative was the windows in the room were quite small and dirty, especially on a rainy day with the condensation. It rained almost every day during my stay.

- Zhuo (10/5): - One of my favorite hotels in Taipei. Close to shopping and restaurants. Metro is in walking distance. Hotel offers free coffee and pastry during the day, in a lovely common area. Room itself is clean with a comfy bed.

- Chi-Chin (10/5): - This hotel is reasonably priced and in a great location. The Daan subway stop is only 5 minutes away on foot, and the Daan park about 13 (you can also take the subway 1 stop to minimize walking). The fitness center is lacking, but there's a decent gym called Project Fitness that's about a 3 minute walk that charges 1.5 NT per minute (just use your subway card). If you need to do laundry, there's a coin operated laundromat about 7 minutes away. The included breakfast buffet includes enough variety to satisfy most palates. There's fruit, salad, breads, some hot dishes, scrambled eggs (you can kindly ask for hard boiled or fried eggs), soup, congee, and cereal. The rooms are comfortable once the AC and dehumidifier are turned on. There's a mini fridge and they give you a bottle of water everyday, which is nice. And there's coffee, tea, and cookies available on the first floor. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return next time I'm in Taipei!

- PhoebeNJ (10/5): Great location - We booked 2 rooms and the rooms are clean and comfortable. We were also able to have book another night on the day of check out due to our flights being so late. The staff were very obliging. Very reasonable prices at a great location! It is walking distance to eateries and shopping. Definitely recommend!
- Geminican (6/5): Great breakfast, good location. - Situated in a great location, 3-minute walk to the Daan MRT station, which connects you to the Brown and Red Lines. A safe and preferred neighborhood within Taipei city. The breakfast was awesome and delicious, offers a wide variety with fresh ingredients, coupled with attentive service from its restaurant staff, together, creates a great dining experience. The room was well cleaned and quiet, though a tab smaller than its competitors of the same level, but still spacious and comfortable. The public area was not as well cleaned compared to other hotels, likely the cleaning crew has arrived yet. When you raised the issue, they listened and took care of it. Some had better attitude than the other. Overall, it met expectations. If and only if the pricing is competitive, I will stay there again, as other hotels nearby are bigger, with better service and cleaning. But I must say, of almost all hotels nearby (within 3 blocks), its breakfast is one of the best.

We arrived the hotel around 7:30am and our room was ready, but we were asked to pay extra TWD1,500 for early check in, which was a bit odd to me. - Verified traveler (4/5): It’s an ok hotel - overpriced though - The first room I stayed in was very humid and had a damp musty smell to it - I didn’t complain as I was only there for the night. The second room wasn’t humid at all, but was very very cold - I couldn’t figure out how to turn down the aircon, even though I turned it off several times. This is a basic 3* hotel, the breakfast is also very limited, but I could get a cup of tea with scrambled eggs and some fruit so it is sufficient for me.

Unfortunately the spoundproofing and other aspects of the hotel are dated. The room window is a very thin single pane of glass so street noise can be heard. The first night i was woken up at 5am by roadworks outside. The second a drunk guest woke me up at 3am trying to get into my room. I suppose these are beyone the control of the hotel - but still effected my experience.

- don123yahoo (2/5): Awful experience - The outdated hotel was a disappointing stay. The gym was unbearable, especially during August's scorching temperatures, which often reached near 97 degrees Fahrenheit. Stepping out of the elevator on the 12th floor felt like entering a sauna, with the room being extremely hot and humid. The internet connection was incredibly unreliable, frequently dropping more than ten times per hour. Each outage could last from a minute to five minutes. If you plan to work from the hotel, I strongly advise against staying here. The owner's poor management has created a terrible atmosphere, and I would advise against staying at this hotel.

July Taiwanese summers are hot. When i called to get help, i felt that i was inconveniencing the staff. Housekeeping and restaurant staff were great. English tv channels were nice. Location is amazing. Value for price was not there.

- fembles (6/5): Not quite what we were expecting! - Although very clean & quiet, we found our room to be small, dark & with very limited storage for a 6 night stay. There is a tiny wardrobe mainly filled with a cabinet for the safe, no sets of drawers. We had to leave clothes in packing cubes. The breakfast is ok - buffet style, perfectly acceptable. There is no bar and just a small public space around the lobby to sit. In all, the service is good, it is fine for business trips, but not for leisure! When we return we’ll stay elsewhere.

- shanj2018 (2/5): Bad Service - 我們都已經大包小包的快到酒店了，卻因為他們服務不好而另換住處。台灣人的臉簡直丟了，對外來/外國顧客極為不友善。（他們已經接單在發出確認函之後，以系統故障是由於顧客讓顧客加價補交額外的金額，浪費了顧客的時間和精力，但卻並沒有太多的愧疚。） We were almost at the hotel with our luggage when we were forced to change accommodation due to their terrible service. It's truly embarrassing for Taiwanese people, extremely unfriendly to non-local/foreign customers. They accepted orders and sent confirmation letters, but then, citing system malfunctions, demanded additional payments, wasting customers' time and energy without much remorse.

Very, very limited food selection, rice is not hot even in rice cooker. Staff is in/out pantry but does not offering egg service until you waiting a long time and ask. 3) Hotel does not offering day use rate. We pay full rate in order to check out at 1830 hours as flight leaves at 2345 hours. This hotel is not in our prefer list in future.

Service staffs were very good, attentive and makes our stay very comfortably. Everything is to notch other than the breakfast spread could be healthier, with less processes food. But overall food is delicious. I'll definitely booked this hotel again when in Taipei and recommend friends and relative likewise.

I would recommend the hotel to my friends and families.

- slito (8/5): Great location! - Great location, clean and new rooms! The predominantly local breakfast was decent. Do check out the counter where you can ask for freshly prepared eggs (eg. sunny side-ups). To my knowledge, this service is not common amongst 3/4 star hotels I had stayed at in Taiwan. Hotel lobby, although small, is cosy and useful for pre check-in and post checkout waits. The room lights (intensity) can be adjusted using the console at the bedside table but overall the room can be quite dim. The room and bathroom ceiling also appear to be quite low, especially for taller guests. Some may therefore find the room claustrophobic for longer-term stays. Lift lobby at each floor can be quite stuffy due perhaps to lack of air-conditioning. We also wish the hotel staff can be quicker to help with our luggages when we had checked in and out. No one helped us when we had moved our luggage to the taxi waiting outside. Overall, the hotel is still a pleasant stay!
- Sapphire (8/5): - Pros: Central location. 5min walk to Da'an station, which intersects red line and brown line so within close proximity to CKS memorial hall, Taipei zoo and Raohe Night Market. Friendly staff. Has bellhop. 24/7 access to coffee and tea downstairs. Very good breakfast. They let us store our luggage overnight while we went on an excursion to Jiufen. Cons: Building although nice, is showing its wear and tear especially in public areas. Requires a renovation. Communication prior to arrival needs improvement. I tried to message them several times through Expedia chat about whether we can store luggage overnight and got no reply.

Room overall ok. Breakfast, good quantity, quality can be improved. Good stay, average level, very good price with breakfast
- George_D74 (6/5): It's OK but will be staying somewhere else next time - I would say it was 3+ rather than 4-. The biggest problem for me was the size of the room vs the price I paid. It was fully booked though, but I don't think I will be staying there next time I am in Taipei. No offense, the staff was friendly and quite professional and location is very good, but I need more comfort.
- beetlebath (8/5): Fantastic location and good price - The location of this hotel is fantastic. The proximity to the red and brown line - and just one stop from the blue line - puts you absolutely in the thick of it all. Plus, it’s a short walk to Da’an, Taipei’s best park. No shortage of things to do and see. The hotel itself is a bit run down. The windows don’t really open and are opaque with wear. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast is great.

- hsiao (10/5): - The area where a coffee machine is located on the first floor should have a limit on audio volume. Some people were very loud in phone conversations and disturbed other persons. The hotel staffer said there is no rule on loudness.

- jimmylkw (8/5): It's not really a Fullerton... - Made a booking for my trip in Feb this year after attending a friend's Wedding. Very convenient location and friendly staff, they even have a their own bath house at the top floor of this hotel. Gym - Can skip.. They should feel embarassed they even call it a gym Bath house - Nt bad, they split the bath house for different genders on diff days and it is quite decent but they should have some music or a TV. Might get a bit quiet at night .. Breakfast - Good variety but small area so you might need to wait for a seat. Room is spacious and clean but the toilets are disappointing. For the price paid, I expect probably a bathtub. Location - Very convenient, walking distance to train station, shopping malls, 24 hrs restaurants, convenient shops.

- Angela (8/5): Nice boutique hotel - Overall a good experience. Although only later did I realize it was not related to the Fullerton Group of hotels. During my room selection I indicated I had a baby below 1yo but they gave me an additional single bed which didn’t make sense. Although it was quickly resolved when I called the front desk. The breakfast was mediocre not a very big spread but decent I guess. It had the basics and a Chinese breakfast of sort. Located on the same side of the street n short walk from the train station with many convenience stores around was good so we could get late night snacks. Overall still an enjoyable stay.

The hot spring spa is a nice feature, but the water temperature of the hot spring is too high to enjoy. I think the night shift front desk staff was covered by the security guard, because he was totally unprofessional. He answered the front desk phone with just one word "Wei" with a tone sounds like "What." He also got my in-room service order wrong. It was only 9:30 PM on a weekday, but the service quality dropped dramatically. I told the day shift front desk staff, they didn't seem to care much.

- touchdownjj (8/5): Boutique Hotel in Central Downtown Taipei - This hotel is located on one of the main roads in downtown Taipei. It is within a 5 minute walking distance to the Metro Station and Plenty of Taxi or bus service available on the Fuxing Road. The lobby, elevator, hallway and room is small, but, very clean. The room I had was narrow, barely enough width to fit 2 night stands on each side of the bed. The bed, linen, and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom was tiny, but, decent. Overall, clean, and offers the traveller a comfortable environment to sleep in. Breakfast area is quite small, offering mostly local breakfast selections. The best selling point for this hotel is its location and convenience accessing most of Taipei's main commercial districts and attractions. It's a decent choice for business and leisure travellers that wants a piece of quietness in mid-price range hotel choice in the downtown area.

The hotel is right next to the MRT station and there are many convenience shops and restaurants in the surrounds, where we can enjoy the food in any time of the day.
