• Marine (6/5): The picture are misleading. The location is amazing. The room is really not great. - The location is amazing, right next to the Vatican. The photos are enhanced. Had the pictures been truthful, we would have selected a more expensive place. There were mold in the room and in the bedroom. The bed was hard, even with the mattress topper.

• Giovanna Gaglianese (8/5): Il top a Prati - Palazzo dotato di ascensore, letto con topper e cuscini comodissimi, grande smart tv dotata di ogni canale e servizio streaming. La stanza è piccola ma ben isolata termicamente. Host disponibile e simpaticissimo, posizione ideale in un quartiere elegante e fornito di tutti i servizi, la guest house è servita dalla metro A con la fermata Ottaviano a 5 minuti. Bagno con lavabo piccino e doccia angusta e molto scivolosa, dotare il piatto doccia di un buon tappetino antiscivolo sarebbe un'ottima idea.

• Sarah (5/5): - The location was excellent, a 20 minute walk to St. Peter's Square, and a 5 minute walk to the nearest Metro station which gets you all over Rome - no need to hire a car at all. The check-in is a self check-in, and the instructions on how to do so were clear and friendly. We did not see any staff in our 4 night stay at all, but the owner was quick to respond to any messages we sent. Although we knew the room was basic, we didn't know that it was so basic! There was no kettle or cups/glasses in the room, so we couldn't make a drink at all, or even pour a bottled drink into a glass to drink from! This would have have been ok if the shared kitchen that was on the property profile at the time of our booking actually existed! However, it turned out when we asked where the kitchen was, that it did not exist! Note; I can see that this has now been removed from the profile. However, several other facilities which also do not exist are still on the profile...

(Abbiamo avuto difficoltà con il riscaldamento e il gestore ci ha spiegato tutto in chat) Purtroppo le mura sono troppo sottili, mi sono svegliata ogni volta che rientrava qualcuno e sentivo la sveglia anche dei vicini della stanza dietro, li ho sentiti prepararsi come se fossero dentro il bagno della mia stanza.

• Sandra (5/5): Ubicación y precio bien, el colchón tiene que cambiarse - La ubicación, la TV, el precio era razonable, todos los dias hacen mantenimiento basico de la habitación (hacen la cama y cambian las basuras). El encargado intentó ofrecer una solución a nuestros problemas pagando más para cambiar de hab, no me parece una solución buena pero al menos fue amable. Principalmente la cama, el colchón es muy fino y se hundía al apoyarte en él, cualquier persona mínimamente delicada para dormir no había podido descansar bien allí. La habitación más barata (hab Rafello) es muy pequeña, pero es lo que se ve en la foto, por lo que si alguien tiene pensado pasar tiempo en la habitación no la recomiendo, si es solo para dormir si es suficiente. El WC no traga del todo bien. Hay rincones donde la limpieza no es la suficiente.

• Dorota (7/5): - Lokalizacja zdecydowanie na plus, blisko stacja metra Ottaviano, Bazylika Św. Piotra i Muzea Watykańskie, więc jeśli komuś zależy na tym, to zdecydowanie polecam. Bardzo miła obsługa. Właściciel napisał kilka dni wcześniej, dopytywał o godzinę przyjazdy i zakwaterowania, podpowiedział najlepszy sposób na dotarcie do hotelu. Tam czekała na nas bardzo miła Pani Recepcjonistka. Do godz 22 check in za darmo. Możliwość pozostawienia bagażu po check out. Pokój sprzątany codziennie a przynajmniej śmieci były wynoszone codziennie. Mała lodówka w pokoju i tv. Miło by było, gdyby właściciel zostawił jakąś butelkę wody do picia. Łazienka: bardzo mały prysznic, kilka minut trzeba poczekać, żeby zaczeła lecieć ciepła woda, uginająca się półeczka przy lustrze, bardzo mały zlew - przy tej uginająca się i wystającej półeczce ciężko było umyć twarz. Hotel zapewnia tylko mydło/żel do ciała.

Staff is also friendly and communicative, which is very important for first time visitors!

• Antónia (7/5): The host's approach and the excellent location made up for the overall impression. - The accommodation was close to the metro and just a few minutes from St. Peter's Square. The apartment was on an upper floor, and an elevator was available. The location was excellent and easily accessible. The owner communicated with me and showed interest; he was very kind. The lady who accommodated us was pleasant and explained everything. Communication in English was not a problem. We also used the small fridge in the room, and Wi-Fi was available. We practically only came to the room in the evening and left every morning, which suited our needs and expectations, especially considering the very affordable price of the accommodation. The price-to-quality ratio matched reality. Since I worked as a housekeeper, I have reservations about the blankets that were not covered – I’m not sure if this is standard, but it seemed unhygienic to me. The sheets and towels were, of course, clean, but the blankets had no covers. I was also surprised by the condition of the shower, which was not completely clean. This didn’t leave a good impression, but I wouldn’t rate the accommodation strictly negatively.

• William (5/5): Sorry I do not recommend. - Location was great. Host was easy to communicate with. Let us check in early. Had an Army compound across the road. Noisy late into the night. We stayed for a week and istruggled to sleep every night. It was meant to be sound proof rooms but you can hear everthing from traffic on street and people talking on the street, even though we are on 4th floor. The photos were done very well its misleading. Struggle to fit into shower, its tiny! The toilet is on a step that is uncomfortable to use, very weird setup. The room is really for a couple, we made it work with 3. We wont stay there again. If youre desperate for a room and dont mind noise from street and the other rooms squeezed on the floor then this might be for you. We asked if we could leave early with a refund but was denied. Host communicated well though. Dont be fooled by the pics, its a well set money maker for the host.

• Johanna (9/5): Simple, but nice place to stay, central, kind host - recommendation - A room, so the equippement was simple, but that's what you know before. Everything was as described. It's central if you can say that for such a big city - close to the Vatican. Metro Stations close by. So are supermarkets, different kind of shops, restaurants... The host was really kind, he contacted us in advance for a smooth arrival. They managed to clean our room earlier as normal check-in so we could enter earlier. There is a cleaning service every day and the will give you everything you might need (fresh towels, fresh bed sheets etc.). The day we left we could leave our baggage until evening! They answer really quickly, when you contact them for having a question. It was clean. There was a small fridge, a table and air condition in the room, apart from beds and wardrobe. The price is truly fair for Rome! I recommend it. Everything was fine!

• Edyta (10/5): Amazing stay! - The apartament is located about 25 minutes from Piazza del Popolo - so it's a great location for walking. The metro station and bus stops are very close. The room is clean and comfortable. I also have to mention the wonderful service! The owner, the lady at the reception and the lady who cleaned the apartment every day are very nice and helpful people. I recommend it 100%!

• Brianna (9/5): Perfect stay for a first time in Rome - Staff was very welcoming and friendly! They were also incredibly knowledgeable about the area. We were given a map and shown where to catch trains and busses. We were also shown where to find good eats. The manager could be reached anytime and was able to help us get from the airport to the room(which was beyond helpful for someone who's never been to Italy!) The room was adequate for our needs. It was clean and quiet. AC worked great. The room is within walking distance to the Vatican and about a 3 minute walk from the metro station that will take you to all the big sites in Rome. It is also close to some very good food spots. Overall, a great stay! Staff is truly incredible and beyond helpful for tourists who don't know their way around. Would stay again! Bed was kind of hard but that's me being nit picky.
• Fernando (8/5): If it was anywhere else in the world, it would be a mediocre room, but since Rome’s offer is so bad, it is more than ok! - Clean, everything working well and quite big! Has a fridge which is a great addon to a room. Shower works great. Overall good stay. It is a VERY basic room in an oldish building. The walls are all plywood, so you can hear everything. We had to go knock on next room to ask them to stop talking. Although communication on whatsapp was great until check in, we never saw anyone working throughout our stay, and would be good to have someone to ask about Rome. Location: is not as near the subway as it seemed!

• Polina (9/5): I’d come another time. - The property is located in 10 minutes from Vaticano. Streets nearby have plenty of restaurants, shops, souvenirs. There are lots of buses around and a metro station close to the property. Decorations are somewhat outdated, thus everything is functional. The mattress is memory foam, so that the pillows. It was amazing. There is a big screen TV - smart, where you can watch Netflix. Good price quality stay. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I’d change the toilet. Everything else was ok.

The room is comfortable, we were in four people and when I arrived I needed one more bed and he helped me straight away. The location is very close to Vatican an Metro. Next time I came to Rome, for sure I Will stay in Cielo Vaticano again.

The location was good, near a metro station and an awesome 24 hour bakery (Dolce Maniera). You’re not a short walking distance to any big attraction, other than the Vatican, but the neighborhood was cute so I’m happy I got to experience it. The AC was also good, and we appreciated it in the July heat. It was nice that there was an elevator. The view was beautiful. The toilet was older, and looked a bit unkept. It might just need a big deep cleaning. I would’ve appreciated a towel rack, there were three of us and no great place to hang our towels so we had to find spots all over the bedroom. We were given one soap for body wash and hand soap, I would’ve liked to have two soap containers so we didn’t have to move them back and forth. Shower was small, but functional. One person in our group was 6’3/190cm and wasn’t able to fit in the shower properly without squatting.

• Angelo (2/5): SOGGIORNO DA DIMENTICARE. - Il soggiorno è stato pessimo, mirato solo a fregare i soldi. La camera vecchia e buia. Tutto l'arredamento era vecchio, il bagno piccolo, il lavandino troppo piccolo che non consentiva lavarsi la faccia bene, la doccia strettissima. Gente che faceva rumore e urlava a qualsiasi ora. Le lenzuola e le tovaglie sono state cambiate al quarto giorno di soggiorno, dopo che noi abbiamo reclamato con la donna delle pulizie e la colazione promessa senza macchinetta del caffè e nemmeno qualcosa da mangiare. Un bel soggiorno da non consigliare a nessuno.
• DePingoneo (8/5): Comfy and reliable - EN / SP We stayed 5 days at Easter and it was great. Our room was cleaned everyday and the host was very kind with us. We had problems with the flight and he kindly changed reservation dates on such a busy date. Also, we could leave our baggage and enjoy our last day. It is true there is no 24/7 reception person. But bear in mind is not a hotel, it is a guesthouse, so they offer what you get! He left a bottle of wine on our room after cleaning, that was a nice gesture! Busy street (Ottaviano) and metro station. It isnt sketchy, all Rome streets look the same. ... Estuvimos muy a gusto! Todas las habitas tienen baño privado dentro excepto una, que lo tiene externo, pero todo tiene llaves. Es un edificio antiguo, hay que pensar que no es un hotel. Pagas por una casa de invitados / versión antigua de Air bnb y recibes eso. Pero la limpieza, cama y baño, que es lo importante (y no "lo bonito") está perfecto. El dueño es muy amable y soluciona todo lo que le pidas. Además, todo se limpiaba cada mañana, sin prisas, entre 9-13. Así que se puede dormir. No es una zona mala. Roma está llena de indigentes, desafortunadamente, y las calles mal asfaltadas tb son comunes. Tiene metro al lado y rodeado de calles con cafeterias, panadería, resturantes, un "chino", etc.
• World Traveler (6/5): Easy to walk to Vatican - You receive a key to street door and 4th floor door and your room. there is a solid working elevator for luggage and quick trips up and down to street. Owner meets you there at check in and check out so verify arrival time but he only lives a few blocks away. Maid service daily to clean. Sheets and towels only changed 2x a week. You are free to come and go as you please. He has a binder with a list of everything you will need information in each room, how many business is from meters from the Hotel, addresses and phone numbers from restaurants, bars, Laundromats, transportations, etc.. what to see and do in Rome everything you will need which is nice. Nice place for a Vatican or Museum visit as within 15 minutes walk plus a few blocks from metro station to see rest of Rome. One of Rome's few organic grocers is litterly next door and each room has a frig, with central use of a coffee maker, tea pot and micro. Only major downside was thin walls from other rooms but most are quiet and don't expect privacy for couples. street noise and beggars in front of grocery (which is all of Rome) and hustlers on street in am are loud and annoying if you want to sleep in. as windows are old and drapes sheer, so If you get up early no problem. A clean room with private bath at a good price if you are traveling on a budget. Stayed in hotels on both sides of river, east side of river has the majority of sites more touristy and Basilicas and a younger hipper vibe. West side is more business.
• Drew_the_Budapester (10/5): Excellent - The staff is very helpfull, they help their guest when it is neccessary. The room was tidy, the maid cleaned it every day just like in hotels (or even better). This guest house located in a very good place, close to many attractions and by public transport everithing is easily accessable. Many shops, markets, supermarkets situated in the nearby area. But the best is the staff, Paolo and Salvatore.

• 848laviniam (10/5): Great value for money. Excellent guest house! - This guest house is located near Ottaviano metro station, very close to Vatican. I enjoyed my stay there. The guest house is very clean and cosy, in a safe and quiet neighbourhood. I liked the fact that had lots of cafes, restaurants grocery stores and a market near. It was just the perfect accommodation for me and I`ll definitely recommend it to others too. The staff and the owner were very helpful! They provided me all the information that I needed and even more! Special thanks to them!
