• Guat Khim (10/5): Fantastic service! - Super good service from the staff. Put in laundry to wash before leaving the hotel, but found it at the dryer when we reached the hotel. What a great service! They also went all out to find clinic when my Mum sprained her hip and when my eldest sister left her credit card at the supermarket at Taipei 101. Pillows & bed are too soft.😵‍💫

• cloverax (10/5): 有種回到家的感覺 feels like home - This has always been my go to hotel whenever I travel to Taipei. The location is great, conveniently located like 1 minute's walk from Ximen Metro Station Exit 3 located on the blue line. The pricing is affordable and reasonable. The staff always welcome you with a great smile and warm greetings. Nothing to pick at. There's also self service laundry with washing powder provided for those interested in a light luggage or to lighten your laundry load when you return home. The hotel is well maintained and clean, with additional services like airport shuttles and the ordering of foodstuff souvenirs conveniently delivered to the hotel, easing the pain of having to specially travel to the shop to buy and carry the entire load back to the hotel. Thank you for the hospitality and kindness that you have shown during my stay here! Will definitely stay here whenever I travel to Taipei. :)

The location is extremely convenient—just a short walk from Ximending’s main shopping and dining area, which made it very easy for us to get around, even with kids. The hotel is very affordable and offers great value for money. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with enough space for our family to rest after a long day of exploring. What we appreciated the most was the staff. They were very friendly, accommodating, and always willing to help, especially with our kids’ needs and questions. Overall, we highly recommend CityInn Hotel Ximending for families looking for a budget-friendly, clean, and accessible place to stay in Taipei.

Elaine assisted us with the check-in and gave us suggestions on which night markets (along with a map) and attractions to visit in a welcome note =) Hotel was clean and overall a very pleasant stay.
• Janengelina (10/5): Perfect stay in a great location! - We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location is excellent and perfect for exploring the area. There is a nice common space where you can enjoy a coffee and have breakfast. Although the hotel itself does not offer breakfast, there is a place right next door where you can buy delicious sandwiches and pastries. The beds were extremely comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. Despite the construction work across the street, we were not disturbed at all. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful—they even arranged our train tickets to Hualien, which we really appreciated. We are already looking forward to returning to this hotel after our trip!

Er is een fijne gezamenlijke ruimte waar je rustig koffie kunt drinken en eventueel kunt ontbijten. Hoewel het hotel zelf geen ontbijt aanbiedt, zit er direct naast de deur een plek waar je heerlijke broodjes kunt halen. De bedden lagen ontzettend comfortabel, wat zorgde voor een goede nachtrust. Ondanks de bouwwerkzaamheden tegenover het hotel hebben we hier totaal geen hinder van ondervonden. Daarnaast was de service van de receptie echt top: het personeel is zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze hebben zelfs onze treintickets naar Hualien voor ons geregeld, wat erg prettig was. Wij kijken er nu al naar uit om na onze rondreis weer terug te keren naar dit hotel!

• Maricar (9/5): A great and comfortable ximen hotel - It is our second time staying here and I really appreciate the location and that the hotel is in its own building (not sharing with other hotels). If you also book a tour through kl**k, then the ximen meet up point is just around 100m away. The area is also quiet compared to staying in the middle of ximending, but still near the center. Strict 3pm check in time but you can pay early check in fee per hour if needed.

• feizhu (8/5): Great location and service but tiny rooms - PROS 1) The hotel is located ~5mins walk from the main Ximending shopping area and Ximen Station. So lots of food and shopping to be done without the noise. 2) Service is very good - the reception is friendly and efficient. 3) Complimentary drinks (coffee, tea, hot chocolate etc) and instant noodles (after 10pm daily) are provided. Complimentary washing machines and dryers are also provided on a first come first served basis. 4) Rooms are clean and bottled water + snacks are provided. CONS 1) Our triple room was really small (much smaller than the Cityinn Taichung) and we had barely any walking space with 1 large (26 inch) luggge + 2 hand carry (20 inch) luggage. The walls were really thin as well and we could hear our neighbours' doors opening and closing and even people talking in the corridor and in adjoining rooms. Our room had no window as well , which made things rather claustraphobic. 2) Pricing is quite a fair bit more expensive (~NTD 5.5K/night) than our previous stay ~2 years ago (~NTD 4K/night), an increase of ~37.5%. Overall we have stayed here 3 times in the past few years and have found it value for money. However if prices keep heading north, we might have to look elsewhere.
• spiderpua (10/5): Amazing stay at CityInn Hotel Plus Ximending! - The location of this hotel is absolutely fantastic, with Ximending Night Market just across the road. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff made us feel very welcome. They were incredibly polite and attentive — every time the lift doors opened, they would stand up from their chairs to greet guests. Coming from the service industry myself, I truly appreciate how much effort and care that shows. We booked a room with a bathtub, and Joanne, who checked us in, thoughtfully asked if that would be suitable and kindly reminded us about a small step into the toilet. This meant a lot to us, especially as my partner uses a wheelchair and has some mobility challenges. Her consideration and attention to detail were truly appreciated. During our 6-night stay, there were two days when the bedsheets and pillowcases were not changed despite the “Make Up Room” sign being left on the door. I’m not sure if this was because we had used disposable bedsheets and pillowcases earlier in our stay, but aside from this, the room and linens were clean and well maintained. Pros: The location is excellent, with Cosmo and 7-Eleven just nearby and open 24 hours. Ximending Night Market is only a 3-minute walk away. The front desk team is extremely friendly and helpful, always offering assistance with booking taxis, arranging transport, recommending restaurants, and checking in on our stay. On one day when we left the “Do Not Disturb” sign on, the staff even reminded us to approach them for extra bottled water if needed — a very thoughtful gesture. Overall, the room and bedsheets were clean and comfortable. Cons: There is construction happening across the street, so the view isn’t great and it can be a bit noisy during the day. The building lights outside the window were quite bright at night, and as someone who is sensitive to light, it sometimes felt like morning even when waking up in the middle of the night. The room was slightly small, but still manageable. Overall, I would definitely stay at this hotel again for its excellent location and exceptionally friendly staff. A special 5 stars to Joanne — we could always see her smile through her big, expressive eyes even with her mask on. Upon checkout, we even received a personal message from her, which was a lovely and unexpected surprise. Thank you, Joanne, for welcoming us to Taiwan and to Cityinn Hotel Plus Ximending!

• RisaCHL (10/5): Clean and comfortable hotel in Ximending - I stayed 11 nights at CityInn Hotel plus, XiMenDing. Had the most comfortable stay in their premises (Elite room). My family love the hotel. The hotel is easily accessible to MRT and XiMenDing night market. The hotel is clean. They have coffee bar, washing machine, dryer and free snacks. Hotel do not provide one time off shampoo and shower gel, but they have then available installed in the bathroom. Premises is clean and staffs are very professional in their services.

The free instant noodles from 9pm till midnight was great if you are feeling peckish. The room was quite on the small side especially if youre travelling with 2 large suitcases. • cmirandilla_0726 (10/5): New Year Vacation at CityInn Plus Ximending - Location was great! Despite the hotel being very near the Ximending shopping district, the hotel area was quiet. It is across Exit 3 (a bit to the right) of the Ximen station and has two 24-hour convenient stores nearby (Family Mart and 7-11). Surrounding establishments have good cafes/bakeries which were very convenient as the hotel does not provide free breakfast. Good thing the front desk can arrange breakfast food delivery for guests (cut-off is at 5pm for breakfast deliveries the next day). There is free 24-hour self-service laundry service at the basement with free-flowing coffee and hot chocolate, and biscuits for all guests. The communal lounge at the basement has a tv-watching area and some tables/chairs for your take-out meals or late-night snacks. It also has a microwave and an oven-toaster for your convenience. The Elite room (the one we had) can fit 2 large suitcases and its bathroom has a Japanese bidet toilet seat and a bathtub with a h/c shower. In general, please note that hotels in the center of Taipei rarely have spacious rooms. The noise insulation of the room is something that can be improved. Room conversations and bathroom sounds from neighboring rooms can be heard. Although it is a 3-star hotel, the service provided by the staff and its cleanliness are all 5-star! - To Elaine, who went out of her way to write a personal note to welcome us and provide valuable information on the night markets and great food finds around Taipei. - To Joanne, who together with Elaine has been very efficient in reaching out to us via email, prior to our arrival and even after our departure. - To the front desk team in the evening, who was very prompt in providing us extra pillows, extra blankets and late night cup noodles at the front desk, all for free! - To the housekeeping staff who kept our rooms and linens clean and provided us with free bottled water and chips daily (Amy, Vivian, Irene and Hank - who went out of his way to provide velcro cable ties for our chargers). We particularly appreciated the hotel's New Year basket of goodies, which contained some local Taiwanese drinks and snacks for us to try. The hotel was a great find for its value for your money, convenience, cleanliness and warm / welcoming atmosphere! Will definitely consider staying again, in future trips.

• Raisa (10/5): Love the place and will surely choose this place again when I return to Taipei. - Conveniently close to Ximen MRT station, bus stops, and just across Ximending night market. It’s quiet and homey. Will definitely stay here again when I return to Taipei.

• Khim (10/5): - 2mins walk to ximending shopping district, 1 stop from Taipei main station, 1h to taoyuan airport via express train, weighing machine at lobby for luggage, free cup noodles for supper, fantastic lounge in enclosed area w microwave oven, hot water, washing machines, dryers - all free to use! Also have humidifier in room, and toilet was overly spacious w bath tub! It's just super!

• Jie Ke (10/5): Great location to explore Taipei. - The location was great, right next to the metro, and a short walk from ximending. I enjoyed the breakfast options near the hotel too. No windows in our room
• Gwendelyn (8/5): If you’re a solo traveller or a couple, you can consider to stay here - It is near to all the shops and night market. Walking distance to food place, convenience store (family mart), and MRT Station is just a 20 seconds walk right infront of the entrance Room is small considering the price of the room
