yvonne (8/5): - Die Lage ist sehr gut und der Blick vm Balkon auf den Bosporus einmalig, das Personal ist besonders freundlich und hilfsbereit; Frühstück auf der Terrasse ist sehr gut aber auch sehr teuer wie alles in Istanbul. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und bequem aber bräuchten eine Renovierung; die Lichtsituation im Zimmer und im Stiegenhaus sollte besser sein.

judy062 (10/5): A fabulous boutique hotel - This is a beautiful and classy boutique hotel in an excellent location close to the Galata tower. The staff especially on reception are so courteous, helpful and friendly it is reminiscent of 5* hotel service in the UK. The room was big, very clean and light and the bed was big and comfortable with a large terrace and a good partial view of the Bosphorus even though I had only paid the rate for a garden view which was a nice surprise. The restaurant and terrace are lovely with excellent views of the Bosphorus and stunning night views. The breakfasts are excellent and I loved having evening cocktails on the terrace. We did not eat an evening meal at the hotel but the food looked delicious. But it is the wonderful care and attention of the staff which makes this hotel special. I could not have chosen better.

The breakfast on the terrace in the morning with the Sunrise over Bosphorus feels like you just want to stay there forever. The rooms are a little old, but this doesn’t spoil the overall great experience of the place. The personnel is cheerful and helpful.

Toby (8/5): Great hotel with fantastic staff, some minor changes would make it one of the best hotels in the city. - Amazing location and building with fantastic staff who put a lot of effort into guest experience. Bathrooms needs some work, shower floods the floor and taps don’t work very well, is definitely a weak point for the hotel, which detracts value for money. The rooftop bar is ludicrously expensive, charging €20 for a glass of wine, €14 for a beer absolutely not worth going with so many better options across the city.

Owner Alex and his team are personally interested in your happiness and quality of your experience in one of the world's great cities. Views are to die for and every restaurant that they sent us to-- including dining in-house on the roof, was first rate.

EsteveJF (10/5): Highly Recommended Boutique Hotel in the heart of the Galata district (Beyoglu, Istanbul) - We stayed at Georges Galata 2 times during our visit to Turkey and Bulgaria, and were glad we did. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings and some have balconies with beautiful views. It’s in an old mansion in the heart of Galata in Beyoglu. The location is excellent for exploring Istanbul on foot with easy access to transit options as well. The service is top notch. The front desk manager John was really helpful with suggestions and booking events. Yasim was always ready to help also, and always with a smile. We had a simple problem with the room and they stepped up to fix it right away. We will stay here next time we return to Istanbul, and we’re not easy to please this much, so that says a lot! Highly recommended.

Caroline (10/5): Top service and completely relaxing experience - View from the roof restaurant is amazing. Two local friends from the area joined me for cocktails and were impressed. Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque in view. Friendly staff and warm welcome. Room and bed comfortable. Despite reading some odd reviews there are a couple of coffee capsules free and tea, water and kettle. No problems with any of that and any queries handled by ever available staff. I will stay again when next in town. The design of the room is for a purpose and it works. Maybe include tea or coffee with breakfast if you are a guest? That might have tipped me into having breakfast at the hotel.

The hotel is incredibly atmospheric and authentic - you can truly feel the attention to detail and the care for guests. Everything is very well maintained, stylish, and full of character, perfectly reflecting the spirit of Istanbul. The location is fantastic: you step outside the hotel - and immediately find yourself on the magical streets of the city. Everything you might need is within walking distance: plenty of cozy coffee shops, great restaurants, and many famous attractions that are easy to reach on foot. It is a perfect place to experience the real Istanbul and enjoy exploring the city. I would especially like to highlight the reception team. Berke, who works the night shift, and Yasin, who works during the day, were incredibly attentive and helpful. They always assisted us with everything we needed - suggesting walking routes, helping with taxis, assisting with check-in, and quickly resolving any issues during our stay. Their friendliness and professionalism made our stay even more enjoyable. Honestly, nothing significant. Our stay was very comfortable and pleasant.

The room was nice and comfortable, but the design of the shower allows water leadking out to the floor that was annoying, and the restaurant prices seemed very steep. The four star rating is due to the front desk managers, who were extremely friendly and helpful. But, most of all, the hotel is located in a great historic neighborhood just minutes from Galata Tower and great nightlife.

Was an absolutely perfect location and the staff were exceptional, always greeting us and answering all of our questions. We had major issues with luggage and they called Turkish airlines for us every day. Would recommend!

My stay at this hotel was truly excellent, and what stood out the most was the exceptional level of service and the kindness of all the staff. I would like to especially thank Yassin, Canser, and the hotel manager for their constant care, attention to detail, and genuine dedication to ensuring guests’ comfort. Their warm smiles and professionalism truly made a difference. The hotel is a charming boutique property, ideally located very close to Galata Tower and surrounded by numerous cafés and restaurants. In addition, the direct view of the Bosphorus from the rooms on the upper floors adds a whole new dimension to the stay and makes the experience truly memorable. The lighting in the rooms and common areas is quite dim and could benefit from improvement to make it more comfortable, especially in the evenings. There were also occasional power interruptions; however, electricity was restored immediately. While it did not significantly affect the stay, it is an area that could be improved.

Yasin gave me perfect guidance on how to navigate around the city, on most visited attractions i.e antique shops, chapels close by and on lovely restaurants/cafes. Rooms and Amenities: 10/10 The rooms are with high ceilings and and intricate designs. The bathroom fittings and all other equipments are quite new and well maintained. every thing has been done with attention to detail preserving the beauty of the hotel. Les chambres étaient top, les deux en face l'une de l'autre. A great base to visit the rest of Istanbul. Big room which was pretty well appointed. Ate at the restaurant which was a little pricey but was good quality (French) food with a super view. Friendly staff. Our room was a bit tired around the edges but nothing that caused us an issue.

Dirty overall, run down rooms and bathrooms leaky shower. Behind furniture we found dust and mold. Hot water not guaranteed if hotel is at capacity. Towels raggedy some stained, robes with ripped belt holes. Bed mattress sunken in the middle, thin walls, bad sleep.
