- Lyndsay Ann (10/5): Clean room anf friendly staff - Clean room, staff is friendly. They have free coffee, tea, milk, and biscuits at the lobby. After 10pm, they have free cup noodles. My room is very clean and spacious. The bathroom is also clean and with a shower stall which I prefer. I will stay here again when I return.

- yi (8/5): - Very convenient to Taipei main station, 6 minutes walk distance, 3 minutes to Jin Zhan shopping center which had lots of food choices and 10 minutes walking distance to Ningxia night market. The hotel room is very small, and has bad smell. The staff are very nice and friendly, the first floor had lot free snacks, drinks and washing machines.

I highly recommend and 2 thing I do want to point out is the room I’ve got is very compact (thank goodness I’ve gotten an upgrade from no window to having a window despite the view is not great) and the walls are like paper thin. Now I understand why there’s a sign in the elevator to warn about keeping the noise down.

- SAYAKA (8/5): - Walkable distance from Taipei Station and many choices for food anm shopping. Staff is kind and friendly. Two things I was disappointed were the bed and soundproof. When two people slept together on the same bed (double sized bed), bed shaked a lot and it's hard to sleep. It's highly recommend to book a room for two bed for two people. When it comes to soundproof, kids cried loudly on the corridor in early morning, which also made me wake up.
- Christina (10/5): Best Choice for Foreigners - That is the right decision that we booked CityInn Taipei Main Station Branch II for our stay in Taipei for a simple stay near the main station as the main hub. This simple but sufficiently comfortable hotel has everything we need. Fuently-English speaking front desk people that are always ready to help foreigners with everything they need to enjoy Taipei at its best, and essential facilities free-to-use to ease our pains, such as laundry and common pantry including free coffee, tea and snacks. Not to forget the free cup noodles after 10 pm. Spotless room with comfy bed and private bathroom. I have to say it is small but enough space for a couple. It's best choice for a short stay to cover Taipei main interests, especially for first-timers with language barriers like us.

- Esther Bieru (8/5): Convenient and Affordable - Since my stay in this hotel only 2 nights, during the day time I was traveling around the city and come back for a sleep, so I booked a room with no window, and the most basic and less expensive room, nothing fancy. the room was clean and the bathroom was clean, is good for people who just need a clean place to sleep. and is easy to walk to Taipei Main Station and airport Metro, the front desk people are nice and helpful.

- Fatima (10/5): Taipei travels - The hotel is in a good location, only 10 min from the MRT. The staff is really friendly . They found out it was my husband’s bday and surprise him with some cake .

I paid HKD2,400 for new year's eve, have a feeling i overpaid way too much. In normal season i guess about HKD 1,000 would be good enough

- Ilia (10/5): - I stayed in one of the small, no window rooms. Even the hotel is close to a busy street, there is no noise, and I didn’t feel cramped. The staff were very helpful and courteous. The room has everything I need: bottled water, coffee, tea, tea kettle, safe, slippers. Toiletries include shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothbrush/toothpaste, shower cap, comb, razor, floss, q-tips. I didn’t need to use anything I traveled with. The hotel even has a kitchen area, where you can use the microwave, or get free cup of noodles and granola bars. Also there are washer/dryer, detergents you can use for free, which I made use because I needed 3 changes of clothes each day. I had a very nice stay in the beginning of my trip in Taipei, so I booked another day at the end of my trip when I returned to Taipei. The hotel is only 7 minutes walk from the airport MRT station, and the main Taipei station for the high speed rail, train, and city subway. You can’t find any place better.
- Julie (10/5): - A few minutes walk to the HSR Taipei Station and a few min more to the Taipei Main train station. We stayed in a windowless double room. It was small but clean. The water pressure for the shower was amazing. The stairs have unusual heights which may not be to code for US standards but just be careful going down if you use them. Little touches make all the difference - they store luggage before check-in and after check-out. The room has some small snacks. Laundry is free (although we did not use it). The small kitchen has Asian cookie rolls and a good espresso/coffee and ice tea machine. No breakfast is provided but you can get breakfast on the street or on the station. Good value and great location. I would definitely stay here again.

Room was very clean and we really appreciate the complimentary drinks and snacks that were available in our room. Love the well-stocked pantry area at the ground floor too. Do take note there is no proper wardrobe to keep your clothes though they have a few hangers provided. There are biscuits provided in the kitchen and after 10pm, they do offer 3 flavours of instant noodles if you are hungry. This hotel is located near macdonalds, 7-11 and KFC and is about a 5-10min walk from the Taipei main station. It is walking distance to the ning xia night market.

- Beng Choo (10/5): Excellent stay - The hotel was clean and neat, although the rooms are a tad small, there is a very pleasant rest area downstairs next to a kitchenette which provides water, tea and coffee, basic utensils, a toaster oven, a microwave and a fridge. We brought back food and ate breakfast at this area two mornings in a row. The counter staff was also very efficient, helpful and friendly. Overall an extremely pleasant stay.

However, I was shocked to find out that more than half of the films are pornography. Imagine that a hotel offered unlimited alcohol in their guest rooms. Shouldn't they warn people about that? I guess some might find that appealing, but others of us would steer clear.

When we check in, the staff at reception, Mr Dudu give us a very clear introduction about the facilities in the hotel and local delicacies around the area. The location is great. The metro/bus station/HSR Station is just 5 mins walk away. Lots of eatery around the area. The room is small but clean. We have slight issue with the door lock system for the 2nd night. The staff react immediately once received our complaint and resolved the issue efficiently.

You hear every syllable and door closing from the corridors. - somewhere around 1AM, we started to hear what sounds like a washing machine running and water draining, etc. It persisted and we called the front desk and the same gentleman who checked us in came up with a ladder eventually and I think he put some towels around the pipes. That fixed most of the issues. This is the only reason service isn't rated 0. - around 7:30AM, we were awaken by what sounds like somebody drilling through concrete. After awhile, we called the front desk. The lady told us it was due to construction next door and they'll go talk to them. The noise continues. We called again, same information. By the 3rd call, I asked if we could switch rooms. The staff said she found an available room, and asked if I can go look to make sure it "satisfies our requirements". I asked "how would I know - isn't it your job to tell me if the room is quiet free of construction noise"? And then they expected us to pack up all our stuff if we wanted to switch rooms. We checked out shortly after. I don't have enough room in this review to describe how wrong the service was.

- Damian (10/5): Excellent budget hotel - Excellent budget hotel. Relatively new so in excellent condition, walking distance to Taipei Main Station, convenience stores, McDonald etc, helpful staff who gave directions to Ningxia night market and where to have an early breakfast. Even has complimentary coffee & tea & snacks wtc. Comfortable bed & cozy compact room. And more little good points such as PC with internet in lobby for guests & luggage storage. Only downside was noise insulation not great.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Loved it - Can't fault our stay! Will definitely recommend CityInn to our family and friends. Some guests have suggested using North M3 (if you're taking the trains) and Y8 (if you're taking the metro) exits, I'd like to add that Y7 is a good alternative if you have no luggage (stair access though) as you don't have cross streets to get to the property. A suggestion to the CityInn - reconsider the frosted windows of the bathrooms. During night time it can be a bit annoying when you are woken up by the lights whenever your companion goes to the bathroom.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - I stayed here in 2017 recommended by a friend, and again when I am visitying TPE in 2019, this is my top choice that never disappointed me. Higly recommended to anyone that is visiting TPE, they have the most friendly service I have yet experienced so far in TPE.
