Guest Reviews
- natalia (8/5): - Beautiful place to stay, well connected and great walkable area. Staff very friendly. Breakfast is good. The only issue is that the heater system makes noise and disturbs sleep at night however, the recepcionist said they are planning to change it soon. I hope they do because the hotel’s atmosphere is cool and will like to return soon.
- fiorella (10/5): - Nos encantó
- Megan (10/5): - Casa Chic is just that... chic! What a gorgeous property in the heart of Palermo! While the rooms are on the smaller side, they were beautifully decorated with large, comfortable beds. I liked that the sink was separate from the toilet/shower. I have to give kudos to the woman at the front desk. She is SO kind and accommodating. She made our stay feel next level. My only minor complaint is that the floor in the room felt a bit dirty so I would recommend slippers or socks. Otherwise, I highly recommend!
- Alberto (4/5): Disappointed - The room was very small with too many furniture in it. The shower very small with a tub where you can hardly stand. The hotel is located on top of a shop where all the time at night you need the guardian to open the door. The door uses a standard key and is not really isolating noise. Breakfast is served relatively late so was not suitable for working day where you need to leave early.
- Bettina (10/5): - I travelled with my daughter in April 2025. Lucia and everyone at Casa Chic provided a superb level of service. Small hotel big heart. Exceptional location in the heart of Palermo Soho where restaurants, grill houses and bars are within walking distance. The rooms are not street facing so it was never noisy. We will for sure return to Casa Chic on our next trip to Buenos Aires
- Aparna (10/5): - This hotel is a true gem in the Palermo neighborhood! I’m so glad I found such an awesome place at an affordable price. With only six rooms, the hotel has an incredible charm and character. It’s very comfortable, conveniently located near plenty of dining options, and the staff are extremely friendly. I can’t stop raving about this property—definitely a 10/10!
- John (10/5): - Elegantly decorated boutique hotel with everything you could want.. The location is great, with high-quality shopping and many restaurants and bars in the area.
- Joseph (8/5): - The staff was amazing! The room was a little small but nicely appointed. The terrace was a great space to hang out and relax.
- Raul (10/5): - A great hotel
- marcos (8/5): - Nice place in an excellent location in Palermo Soho
- Madeline (10/5): - Great location! Didn’t need an uber or taxi at all during our stay. Very close to lots of fun bars and restaurants.
- Clare (10/5): - Lovely hotel in Buenos Aires. Close to everything in Palermo.
- Rallen17 (8/5): Great Location - This is a great location for any couple that is visiting Buenos Aires and planning to be out and about most of the day. Right outside the front door is a very walkable neighborhood with countless restaurants and bars. It is a very lively area and has a lot of shops and street fairs to offer on the weekends. Our room was small, but it has everything you need. The property only has 6 rooms, and the staff was very nice and spoke good English.
- Mauricio (10/5): - Amazing location ! Walkable to coffee shops, restaurants, shopping. A chic-nice boutique hotel, small but cozy rooms. Would stay again for sure.
- Mauricio (10/5): - Location is just perfect. Safe and convenient for shopping and enjoying a great coffee or a nice meal. Everything just walking distance. In the middle of great restaurants, coffee shops, bakeries. Rooms are small but nice for a small 7 rooms boutique hotel.
- Karen (8/5): - Safe and nice neighborhood but if you get room 1 you will be hearing people, cars, loud music the bar across the street is playing.
- MrLookFeel (4/5): Bad experience - Casa Chic is a little nice hotel but unfortunately also a bit scruffy. It should be cleaner. There is dust everywhere and the house keeping doesn't make a good job.
The staff is friendly but at least one of them is dishonorable. I am quite sure that I know who it is and how this person did it but I can't prove it. After we left the hotel, I realized that somebody has stolen part of my money out of the safe deposit box. In some old reviews about this hotel I found out that this has already happened before. So, pay attention and take care of your valuables. It's a pity that I have to mention this but of course, it ruined my impression of Casa Chic forever.
- Ellie (10/5): - Our Stay was absolutely Incredible with clean and modern rooms and amazing staff. So friendly! The hotel was in a neighborhood so spectacular for visiting Buenos Aires Argentina. The Restaurants, Shops and Markets are everywhere in every direction from the hotel front door. You will be so happy to stay at Hotel Chic Palermo Soho.
- Phillis (8/5): - I normally won't leave a review if it's not a five star review. I speak with the people at the facility and if we can't resolve an issue then I'll leave something less than five stars. When booking this reservation, I was hesitant because of the poor reviews on the size of the room. But doing a little research online looks like the rooms are Somewhere around 450 ft.². According to the website. But this is not the case. The rooms are tiny. It is misleading to put your square meters or square footage that does not match up to what the rooms actually are. I suggest that , someone should remeasure the rooms because I just can't believe that these the actual sizes that are represented on the site. This is a great location and we found some staff to be incredibly kind and friendly. The breakfast is sufficient. It would be nice if they had a little variety From day-to-day. Also, it would be nice if they had espresso machines in your room. The water pressure was great, the air conditioners worked wonderful and the linens were clean and tidy. I'm not sure if I would stay there again given the size of the rooms…
- Christiane (10/5): - Nice and cute little boutique hotel
- Lloyd Bozeman (10/5): - The location is safe, and a great location for restaurants, bars, and nightlife.
- Anne (10/5): - Casa Chic is very well situated near dozens of restaurants and shops in a comfortable, bohemian part of town. The staff were very helpful advising us about bus routes and finding our way around town. They made us feel like we were coming home every day and inquired about our days. Excellent stay.
- Maggie (4/5): - Lots to like about this boutique hotel. Friendly staff, lovely comfy bed and room, good security. Breakfast was limited but adequate. Coffee very good.
Then the not so good. The main problem for me was the air conditioning in the room. It was of the ducted type. Old and not able to be reduced from full on high speed to medium speed or low speed. And the worst thing was it was SOOO noisy!
Buenos Aires was in the grip of a heat wave when I was there at the beginning of March and turning it off wasn’t optional so I spent every night of the three I stayed there getting up to turn it on to stay cool for a while then turning it off so I could grab a bit of sleep. Exhausting!
Unfortunately, this ruined my stay there. I left feeling so tired and definitely would not stay there again.
- colin (4/5): - Very disappointed with treatment received by the gentleman at front desk. Always in a bad mood and unfriendly. The lady at front desk ( Florencia) was always very caring and polite. Unfortunately the hotel needs some serious upgrades in the rooms. We had torn bedclothes in both rooms we stayed in. We have stayed in this hotel at least 6 times. Don't think we will go back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It’s cute chic place to stay. The staff were absolutely amazing. The rooms
However were a bit small for what I am used to. If you are just staying for a several days absolutely but if you are staying for a longer time and like space I would be sure to ask for bigger rooms before booking it.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Hyggelig hotell - Fint hotell med enkel frokost og litt trangt rom, men ellers i tipptopp stand!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel! - The room is very cozy and clean and located in an amazing area with so much to see and do! I'd definitely stay here again!
- BradM57 (6/5): Fantastic location. Tasty trendy restaurants and bars abound within in a few blocks. - Florencia at the desk was super helpful. Pretty cheap boutique hotel. Issues with pulsating water pressure or lack thereof, loud AC, and multiple wall power wall sockets that had no power. Fantastic location. Tasty trendy restaurants and bar abound within in a few blocks.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A lot of small details of great taste, like tableware, books all over, like a cozy home. Very small room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A beautiful boutique hotel to stay in BA, great location !
- 134AlexG (2/5): Not so chic - There is nothing chic about being woken up at 3AM by the sound of a malfunctioning Airco that sounds like a plane about to take off! We went down to the reception and requested to be put in a different room, but the doorman who was on duty that night said he could not do anything about it. He said we had to wait until the morning. We turned off the Airco and couldn’t really sleep, because of the heat.
In the morning we went down to the reception and the receptionist said she would send someone to fix it. In the evening when we came back, the noise was better, but still by no standards acceptable.
The water reservoir in the toilet was also broken. Every time we used the toilet, we had to open the water reservoir and pull the lever.
Breakfast was very poor. Literally just toast, 1 kind of cereal and croissants.
Upon check out, we were charged full price despite all the inconvenience and sleepless night caused by the Airco.
We liked Palermo soho the most out of all neighborhoods in BA. However, when we come back to BA, we won’t be booking Casa Chic.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Nothing chica out this place - Got woken up at 3AM by the sound of broken Airco.
The doorman told us nothing can be done until the next day, so we literally had a sleepless night.
The water reservoir in the toilet was broken. Every time we used the toilet, we had to lift off the kid of the reservoir and pull a lever.
In the end we were charged full price for the stay despite the inconvinience and sleepless night.
- Jorge (8/5): - Hotel con excelente ubicación. En el centro de Palermo Soho. Personal muy amable. Habitación amplia (número 1) . Incluye un desayuno frugal.
- dalias206 (8/5): Super Chic Almost Perfect in the Super Suite - Loved the location, Palermo is so fun and ABSOLUTELY loved the decor...When I opened the door of my suite I was soo enthralled, but have to say there were some things that really need to be looked at... the a/c was super noisy as well as the bathroom fan, please fix it for a 5 star rating from me.. breakfast was minimal and acceptable (good coffee)but with such a lovely atmosphere you could do better with the breakfast.. and finally the wifi was terrible!! :( really did not work at even did not work at night..
So crack down on the noise and give me the wifi and you are PERFECT and I will use ou as my place to rest in BA! thank you Derwin for all your tips and Casa Chic creators.. love ya..! cristicism is only to be constructive to perfect! which you deserve!!
Super recomendable
- Kerry553 (10/5): Cute - We had two rooms for our family. The twin room was small and dark and the suite was light huge and beautiful. So if you can book the suite and it would make a big difference to your stay. The staff in the afternoon speak no English but the lady in the morning was very helpful with good English. The breakfast was very light...what we would eat at home. Toast and cereal. The deco is very tasteful. There is a security guy that is there overnight watching tv so when we had to checkout at 3am. He was great to make sure our taxi arrived. They don't have money exchange. In fact money exchange in b.a was a nightmare. Even if the queue at the airport is long...make sure you exchange money there before you leave.
- 336anhn (10/5): Favorite Quaint Hotel! - We knew that this was going to be a chic, quiet, beautiful hotel but our expectations were exceeded when we arrived on our first night. From start to finish - the hotel is very charming, small hideaway with just a few rooms above a chic boutique storefront (we felt like it was a reverse speakeasy for a hotel! Such a cute find!). The staff was extremely accommodating throughout the late hours and we were so happy with the location - we walked out an across the street was a happening craft bar with amazing brews and cocktails, outdoor seating, etc. We felt so safe in this neighborhood upon which our hotel Casa Chic was located - HIGHLY recommended and this is where we are staying next time we're in town!
- Argentinadelsur1973 (10/5): Very chic!!! - I love this hotel!!! It’s so cute!!! It is perfectly located, close to all the shops and restaurants!! They serve continental breakfast, very Argentine, don’t expect bacon and eggs...
The only thing is the bedrooms are too small, and also need to change the plastic drapes in the bathroom, there is NO privacy!! Other than that its perfect!!
- Hugo (8/5): Muy lindo hotel, excelente ubicacion - Muy buena ubicación, muy buena atención, excelente relación precio calidad, habitación chica pero acogedora
- jessicasofia1 (10/5): mi casa chic es su casa - I wanted a low key private place for a ten day trip to Buenos Aires and thats what I got.
Casa chic is a bed and breakfast tastefully decorated. Location is excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly. I would go back with pleasure.
- bela23isa (10/5): Traveling alone... - Really nice location and primorous decor, every detail leeds you as inside a magazine shoot! I went alone, was nicely taken care of, the breakfast is great in the cozy reception room , great ambient and the fact that you have to ring the bell to get inside just makes you feel more in friends homes! Hope to go back soon.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Convenient and reasonably priced - We stayed here 1 night and it was great for a 1 night stay. Located in a great area of Palermo Soho. Very tiny hotel above a boutique. I would stay here again if I needed an inexpensive hotel for sure.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Boutique hotel in Palermo - Great location! Service could be better, but it's a very nice boutique hotel
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great small boutique hotel, in perfect location. Will definitely stay here again.

- jasesyd (6/5): Great Location and rooms. Service and management is poor - We stayed here in January 2013. We wanted to stay in the heart of Pallermo soho which this place provided and the rooms were lovely.
We stayed here for 5 days during our sa trip. on our first day we got upgraded as the air-conditioned was broken. Second trip we stayed in the studio for one night.
We booked online with bookings that gave us a price of 85 dollars. so when we wanted to stay the second night we thought we just book through the receptionist. They could not offer us the same rate on bookings.com (even though for that night was 80) and instead there price was 150. Did not make sense to us on why he was not able to agree.
The hotel was run in the day by one receptionist/concierge person who would make breakfast for you and other minor things from 7-7 and the night was run by a security guard who spoke no english. We thought the hotel should have someone at the front desk 24 hours as the security guard was not able to communicate with us and can be frustrating like calling for a taxi 4am for our flight home.
Great location, great rooms (sometimes hot water would not work or ac broken) and poor service.
- antoniog204 (10/5): Fantastic place! - If you need the constant buzz of the big hotel, 24hours business center and fitness room, this is not your place.
There are chains hotel all over town, find your Sheraton and stay away from this gem.
We loved the care for details in the decor. Very well done.
The special attention you are dedicated at breakfast, it made our mornings just perfect.
Position is clearly as prime as you could hope for.
Why do you need a concierge when you are with friends who are very informed and always eager to help?
In the end you wish you could stay a day longer.
We hope to go back soon.
Antonio
- Chichimaria (4/5): Lovely stay that ended in an assault- suspicious of hotel management! - After a lovely 3 night stay in casa chic, we had a horrifying experience leaving town. Our hotel clerk insisted on calling a taxi to take us to the airport, and shortly after we drove away, while our cab was idling in traffic, 2 men on a motorbike cornered our car and one jumped in the front of the cab and demanded my watch. I kicked him an screamed in Spanish, as I am fluent to call the police. After a brief tussle, they took off.Thankfully they didn't hurt us, nor did they get anything. The driver did nothing and seemed to be in on it. The thieves seemed to know I spoke Spanish, where no one else in BA did. They knew I had a nice watch. These questions made me rather suspicious of our hotel clerk. You decide for yourself, but I felt it needed to be shared.
- travelsnob18 (10/5): Chic Indeed! - I saw Casa Chic in 2011 on my first trip to Buenos Aires... It's a retail store on the first floor (very similar to Anthropologie in the U.S.) and a boutique hotel on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The overall design is very fashion forward and a luxurious hideaway in an overwhelmingly big, noisy city.
Remembering how nice the place looked, I booked our last 2 nights on a recent week long stay in the city. It certainly lived up to my expectations, aside from one night when a wedding party's noise made for a restless night... That aside, we would still go back to Casa Chic. (Details below).
Pros:
- Fabulous neighborhood: shops, restaurants, bars, great architecture and design at every turn
- Luxurious king bed with great bedding (not uncommon in the states, but rare in Argentina)
- Good value
- Great interior design
- I Pod player in the room. Classical music was playing upon arrival into our room. Very inviting!
- Great A/C and heat with in-room controls rather than a master control
- Mini-fridge
- All lighting on dimmers
- Excellent staff. Very professional!
Cons:
- Argentines like to party until the wee hours of the morning, so beware of street noise in the front rooms
- A wedding party in the hotel had music blasting and loud guests until the sun came up on our last night. When the A/C was on, it drowned-out the noise, but when it was off, we were miserable from lack of sleep. The receptionist later said that we could have set the thermostat to "ON" so the fan would never turn off and would have drowned-out the noise the entire night.... Oh well. Lesson learned. She also graciously gave us a nice parting gift to make up for the unfortunate experience.
- Rooms are a little cramped, but still enjoyable none-the-less
