Guest Reviews
- Ted (8/5): - The breakfast and staff were excellent.
The room lighting was insufficient and it would be nice to have USB ports.
- Faizal (4/5): - Didnt like one of the young server staff who wouldnt let me eat breakfast on the tables outside, order me a cab, or help explain what some breakfast items were. No A/C, just fan. Refrigerator not cold enough.
- Fatema (10/5): - Hi!
I would just like to say that me and my family have had the best experience at this hotel ever - this is our favourite hotel in turkey and the service/food/rooms are all excellent.
I love this place and I'll always cherish our moments here!

- Ahsan (8/5): - Good breakfast buffet options-all staff nice - cleaners could be more professionally trained / led.
Nice location , very helpful staff
- Ian (10/5): - The staff were excellent assists to us as first timers in Istanbul. Helped us will transit, restaurant suggestions and sights to see. Booking a very early taxi to Saw Airport was perfect. Loved the hotel and will return.
- Kulsum (10/5): - Everything was good about the property and i can not wait to visit again
- Bryan (10/5): - Well located with the major sites an easy walk away. Welcoming, helpful, & friendly staff. Inhouse restaurant providing delicious traditional dishes, at a discounted rate for guests. Highly recommend this hotel, an excellent value for money choice.
- Andres (10/5): - Simple, nice, well located hotel
- Juan Sebastian (10/5): - Staff service was impeccable! Would go back any time!
- Vinicio (8/5): - exclente ubicacion todo cercano
- Pamela Ann (10/5): - Excellent place to stay!
- Ashwin (10/5): - Great location on a quiet side street which was a short walking distance to the main attractions. Hotel team were very helpful. Big shout out to Borhan and Zaki who were great and made the stay really enjoyable!
- habiba (10/5): - All the staff very friendly and very helpfull. Ilyass was realy great by helping me to book transport for me and my family. He was great at showing me how to get to places using public transport .
Bourhan was very helpfull as well great service . The food was great as well, the buffi has different food wich makes it easy for everyone to find something to eat .
- Denise (10/5): - Very clean and quiet hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location, I walked a lot, major sites close by. Good breakfast, very nice dinner at the hotel restaurant.
- Kian (8/5): - Good staff service and very close to major tourist sites.
- Shaail (10/5): - My second stay and very satisfied
- Ahmad (10/5): - Great staff, good breakfast, great vlaue for money
- Audrey (10/5): Traditional Old City Hotel - We arrived before check-in, and I was pleasantly greeted with the news that a room was ready. Borhan introduced us to the hotel, and even brought us a lovely Turkish coffee to welcome us to Turkey.
Our stay went perfectly. Great location between Guilhame Tram Stop and Eminou. Easy walk everywhere, including the Bosphorus River. Breakfast was excellent, and the room met our needs. Housekeeping was fantastic, the room was serviced in the morning, so when we returned, it was already cleaned. We would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Second stay - Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff but rooms are outdated, problems with electrical system, lights not turning on, one day - no water evening time at least at upper floor.
Needs complete renovation of all units, electrical and water system upgrade.
- MOSTEFA (10/5): - We loved everything about the hotel .
- Rasha (6/5): - No kettle. Breakfast good. Small old room
- Dmitriy (10/5): We'll be back - Excellent location. Everything is within walking distance: Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, Topkapi Palace, Topkapi Bridge, and T1 line just a few yards away and you can get to any other part of the city easily.
Stuff is very friendly and ready to help at any moment.
The street where the hotel is located is for pedestrians only, with no traffic. Very cozy restaurant with good food and a 20% discount even for alcoholic drinks.
The only inconvenience - is the third bed close to the balcony, I would prefer an armchair and tea table to relax in the room and enjoy the street view in the evening.
- Mistee (10/5): - This hotel is amazing! I’m always a little worried when I book for solo trips as a woman but I felt safe and secure, the breakfast is generous and tasty, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the position of the hotel is perfect
- Salem (8/5): - We enjoyed out stay, however, the room square footage indicated on Expedia is quite overstated!
- Scott (6/5): - The room was very small. Very little room to walk around the beds. But the staff was friendly and the hotel is close to many things on the European side of old Istanbul.
- Leah (10/5): - Perfect hotel for our weekend away and great value. The staff were really lovely and helpful. Would absolutely stay again.
- Andy (8/5): - Great location, clean, friendly staffs.
The 2 reasons for 4 stars rather than 5, are the unstable and slow-ish internet. It's workable, just a bit annoying. The other thing is the thin wall. It's ok if your neighbour is quiet, but during our last night stay, they decided to watch TV till late.
- Ruth (10/5): Location and Comfort - Near to all the tourist places in Sultanhamet, and with lots of places nearby to eat, including the hotel itself, this hotel is a no brainer. Not on a main road so no passing traffic. We booked single rooms, which were actually king size beds each. Fridge & safe in the room. The taxi can drop you off just a few metres from the hotel. All the staff are welcoming and ready to help.
- Moshin (10/5): - This hotel was about 50 minutes from the airport (IST) during peak hours when we arrived and 35 minutes on the way back which was late at night.
The staff were super helpful from the time we arrived to the time we left. This includes everyone from the house keeping team, to the waiters, chef and the receptionist (Ilyas).
Ilyas provided us with excellent advice and answered any questions we had about Istanbul. He even asked us each day how our day was and what we did.
Although most of staff didn’t speak English, they all made an effort to check that we were ok and if there was anything they could do for us. Kaadri did speak some English and always engaged in conversation whenever he saw us.
The breakfast was similar each day but extremely varied and plentiful. The rooms were a good size with an excellent bathroom which had a shower panel and a handheld shower option too.
The hotel is located within easy walking distance of two tram stops. There are plenty of restaurants and shops around the hotel.
If this hotel is within your budget, then you should book it. We didn’t find Istanbul to be a cheap city for eating out, so considering breakfast is included with this hotel, it might make this hotel more economical when budgeting.
- Marina (10/5): - I liked everything
- lahouari (10/5): - very nice.
- Ramdas (10/5): Excellent Hotel - Location: Excellent
5 minutes walk from Gulhane Tram Station (T1)
12 minutes walk to Hagia Sophia Mosque
12 minutes walk to Eminonu Port for Ferry to the asian side.
Many restaurants in the vicinity.
Check In Process: Very Quick
Room: We were in Room 111 which was a good size for 2 people, but did not include a chair or a Kettle, but you could call the reception for hot water and a flask with hot water would be sent over.
TV: Had a couple of English channels (CNN, BBC etc)
Breakfast: Excellent breakfast options. A variety of Turkish delicacies and desserts. The quality of the orange juice could be improved.
Customer Service: All the staff were very polite and helpful.
Checkout Process: Very efficient and Speedy
We will definitely stay here again.
- ABDELILAH (10/5): - I have stayed here for 8 nights, it was the best choice I have ever made, the service and staff were so nice, helpful and friendly , the hotel was super clean, the breakfast was so delicious, 10/10 overall, I highly recommend staying here, it was the highlight of my trip. Thank you Asur Hotel for your services !
- Ann (10/5): New Years Eve Break - Stayed for four nights over New Years Eve with friends. I can’t rate this hotel highly enough. Location for places of interest, staff for helpfulness and room for cleanliness. Even the Lotus restaurant which offered a 20% discount to guests was fantastic.
Will certainly be back
- Oxana (10/5): - Walkable to Blue Mosque and Sophia, spice bazaar and bridge to get to Galata Tower. Tram is around the corner. Tons of stores/restaurants around. But most importantly - staff is so accommodating and friendly- always helpful with advice!
- UYANGA (10/5): - Asur is a hidden gem, in the land of whether or not you are getting the right information, staff were truthful and advised that was best for the guests. An example of this was, the taxi driver we got ourselves were quoting 2000 liras for a ride to the airport and the staff got us a taxi for 1000 liras which is the normal price, a taxi quoted us 500 liras to go to taksim and they said do not go more than 150. I always found comfort in a trustful staff. As for the hotel, it is close to most of the tourist attractions (all walking distance), we went to Hagia Sophia 3 times and it takes 7 minutes to walk there! Everything is so conveniently close like The Grand Bazaar, Galata Tower, Bosphorous etc.
The free breakast is also a nice touch, it tastes goood and I loove the fresh bread every morning. I definitely recommend Asur.
Love from Canada
- Anibal R. (8/5): - Staff and service
- Hawraman (10/5): - The location is just perfect, if you are a tourist , the location is perfect for you, it’s very close to most of tourist attractions you can walk literally every where, close to public transportation,(Marmaray metro station, Serkeci tramway, Eminuno port & B1 train line) are all less than 5 min walk, staff are super respectful and friendly, the location is safe and remanis busy until late night hours so no need to get scared of empty dangerous Istanbul alleys, but still quite enough to keep you comfortable.
But one point to consider, if you are staying in triple rooms the rooms are small , so if you are a person who likes spacious rooms this may not be the best choice for you (only for triple rooms).
I have stayed in this hotel more than once & will definately consider it for my future travels also.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Zaki and Orhan were very helpful and provided excellent customer service.
The only downside was that the hotel is not providing anymore free mineral water.
- Basim (10/5): - It was amazing staying in this hotel. The staff was very good and helpful and good breakfast
- Shehr (10/5): - Excellent staff, clean rooms and great room service. Location is superb and very convenient. Breakfast has good variety and options. Nothing to complain - the staff was super helpful and nice. Would 100% recommend it. If I come back to Istanbul, will choose to stay here again.
- Kim (10/5): - Loved our stay at this hotel and would highly recommend to everyone if staying in Istanbul. It's in a quiet and lovely location, but close to transport, restaurants and all the sites. Everything is in walking distance. Staff extremely helpful and friendly and the daily breakfast was delicious. Rooms were clean and had all we needed. Would definitely stay here again.
- Maria (10/5): - Great service and location, clean and good breakfast!!!
- adam (10/5): - So clean and quiet the masjid 2 minutes away Love this place
- Catherine (10/5): - Lovely little Turkish 3-star hotel. If you want the Turkish breakfast experience at a low price, this is great. Breakfast tended to be mostly cold, but substantial, with bread, sweets, and a rotating selection of at least 20 traditional Turkish sauces and munchies. We really enjoyed it.
The staff is very helpful - and their airport shuttle service is nicely affordable.
Overall, this was exactly what we hoped for from our 3-star hotel.
- Shaail (10/5): - The service from point A to Z was excellent. The hotel cleanliness rating it excellent. The food excellent the staff very friendly and helpful.
If you are looking for great stay, this hotel you don’t want to miss.
- Adela (10/5): - I loved this hotel, the security, the cleanliness, and the staff is very friendly
- Shah (8/5): - All good
- Osama (6/5): Disappointed - The room is too small. The ventilator is the bathroom is noisy.
- Yessika (8/5): - I love the location of this hotel, all the touristic sites were within walking distance. Is located on a nice little street with many dining options, yet is not too too crowded nor noisy.
- Mamo (8/5): - The location was great near all the restaurents and historic buildings, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. The furniture was old and need to be changed
- Taskia (10/5): - The hotel is so lovely and the staff are wonderful. Super clean and so close to all the attractions that we walked everywhere. Can’t recommend enough!
- Nazuma Begum (10/5): - The reception staff and dining staff were very friendly and accommodating. Very helpful with any queries we had. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Asur hotel and would recommend it to our friends. As it is situated in a convenient location very close to Tram, metro and ferry station. There are alot of restaurant and dining options as-well as shopping places near.
- Marilyn (8/5): - Everything was fine; check in and check out were smooth. My only concern was that the bathroom floor is very slippery due to the wall tiles placed on the floor instead of proper floor tiles. It was hazardous.
Staff were friendly.
- Mervan (10/5): - The hotel was in the nice place and the people war very nice end friendly
- suzan (10/5): - I cannot fault this hotel at all.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Istanbul. We had a wonderful experience here, This is an excellent property and very convenient.
- Miriam (10/5): - The staff was very friendly, extremely helpful and lovely. I was overall happy with the hotel and it was quite quiet, convenient to transport and all the main points of interest.
The only issue was I booked a non-smoking room and when I got there there was a strong smell of smoke for at least 2 days that I couldn't get rid of also given that my room did not have a window into the street which could help the room to air faster.
I would also appreciate if the hotel would consider vegan guests more and have at least soya milk for breakfast so it is suitable for vegans or lacto-intolerance people.
- Verified traveler (2/5): so bad rooms - The staff was friendly, but the room was so small and each night a smoke smell in the room all the night.
- Syed Haider Ali (10/5): - Asur Hotel was an amazing place to stay, they made the first holiday to Istanbul amazing, i picked this hotel as it looked like it was walking distance from the local tourist hotspots and it sure was, few minutes walk from the amazing Hafiz Mustafa store and food spots, the Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque and Grand Bazar are no longer than a 10 Minute walk but because there is so much to see the walk is quick
The Hotel staff were amazing, i dealt with a gentleman named Ilyas who was the best, all of them welcome you with a smile and have good communication skills, the room was the best with a great pleasant view of the Amazing Mosque in the morning and at night when it is lit up.
You can ask for something by calling the reception and best believe within a few minutes they will knock your door with what you needed
The food within the hotel restaurant is AMAZING, compared to the local street restaurants. we infact ordered room service rather than sitting in the restaurant and its the first time id done this anywhere and wow the food was by far the best along with the experience compared to the local street restaurants they also have shisha to have in the outside seating.
You also get a discount as you are staying there, Breakfast is included with wide range of Turkish breakfast options which was nice
You may want to take an Iron as they dont provide them, they do have an option to do this just enquire in reception
- notsure (10/5): - The staff at the hotel are especially friendly and helpful. They always had a pleasant demeanor. I had a couple of situations in which they were very quick to help. The breakfast is great, the place is clean, but the rooms are small. The hotel is in a very noise street, but the rooms were very quiet and well sealed.
- redouane (10/5): Great hotel & location. - Everything was excellent, Zaki was very friendly, very helpful and extremely nice. He fulfilled any of our needs. Excellent Breakfast and location. Sound proof needs some upgrades.
- Noaman (10/5): - Fantastic and friendly staff nothing was too mucj for them. The location is perfect bang smack in the centre of all the main mosques, Hagia Sofia and the Blue Mosque. The old bazaar was close too amd inly a 25 min walk from the hotel so great location.
- Ahmad (10/5): - Great location. Great staff. Totally recommended.
- Adeeb (6/5): Below average hotel - Below expectation, previous reviews were misleading, room small, no chairs, no blankets and no extra pillows. Bathroom and lobby excellent
- Ahmad (10/5): - Asur hotel is amazing. The staff is friendly. The location is beyond super. I totally recommend it.
- vladimir (10/5): Asur made my stay in Istanbul memorable. - Newly renovated and decorated hotel. Very nice and convenient location. Excellent breakfasts. Very clean; nice bed. The two gentlemen at the reception are so helpful, considerate, cheerful and polite.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfectly placed as a hub for exploration of the city. Clean, pleasant hotel with friendly staff. No complaints at all.
- Ahmed (8/5): Good budgeted hotel near the Tourist Points - Overall stay was comfortable and good. Room size is ok but bathroom size is small. Local area is very good and approachable to the main tourist points by foot. Room was very hot and I opened the windows for fresh air and to get the room comfortable.Breakfast is satisfactory with a little menue. Approach is very good from airport by train, 2 minutes walk to Marmaray Sirkeci station and appropriate shuttle service from hotel to airport by just 5 euros.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Close to everything local. Clean room, staff was very friendly and polite.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Highly recomended - I stayed in Asur Hotel for 4 nights and I highly recommend it to Istanbul visitors.
The hotel is situated in a great location, walking distance to all major attraction as well as tram stations. For the price, it was a very good room. It was clean and in a very good condition (looks like recently renovated). The sower was great with water pressure better than in my own home ;-). If you keep your window open, you will be disturbed by the street noise, especially the trams passing by. However, if you close the window, the street noise is not noticeable.
The buffet breakfast was good with many food choices. The only thing I missed was real coffee rather than Nescafe.
The front desk people (Ilyas and Zeki) did their best to help with any question or request.
- sabrina (8/5): - Lovely staff, really polite. The location is also really good
- Verified traveler (10/5): Friendly staff, great location - Amazing helpful friendly staff. Great location to all the local sight seeing attractions and walking distance to all stations.
- Bassam (8/5): Asur hotel is an added value for your trip ..... - I was advised by a friend to stay there. we were 7 people and we booked 6 rooms. Most of my friends enjoyed their stay in this hotel. Asur hotel is located in a very quite area in the middle of all major tourist attractions. Walk to Sultan Ahmet , Aya Sophia , Topkapi. Walk to Misir market and Eminonu boat iskelesi. Walk to Suleymaniye Mosque and Grand Bazar.
The hotel inside is clean and up to standards. Room is spacious , bathroom very new with 3D shower. , however little paint work might be needed in the near future but it is still in a very acceptable condition. Breakfast is good. Dining area is spacious. Overall , I had a very nice stay in this hotel.
- Mohamad-Bassem (8/5): Excellent location , good value - You get more than what you pay for in this hotel. very friendly staff (Mehmet and Zeki). This hotel is very nicely located. Good breakfast , clean room and easy access to all major Istanbul attractions.
- Nasser (8/5): Nice hotel, good location - Hotel is nicely located, close to all attractions. I would recommend it for your future stay. Breakfast is good. Room is spacious compared to other hotels in area
- Mohamad (8/5): Nicely located - Good hotel. Close to all attractions. Breakfast is ok.
- Ali (8/5): near to tramway station. affordable cheap price. - the hotel in general is nice. near tramway serkeci station which is connected to kabatas and sultanahmet stations. near galata bridge, grand bazaar, and spice bazar too.
the hotel's breakfast was good, the rooms were not cleaned daily during our 5 days stay.
the reception guys helped us and were friendly.
the area was safe.
- audrey (10/5): Within walking distance to everything - Quiet and clean, good breakfast, pleasant staff, lovely room, bed and bathroom excellent. Highly recommend this hotel as very central to everything
- Verified traveler (8/5): - enjoyed the two nights near to the spice bazar and gulhan park
- Verified traveler (6/5): so and so - We stayed there for 6 nights. The room was ok sized, however nothing fancy. The air conditioner was old and we could not really figure out how to use it. The meaty stuff at the breakfast was often old an tasted bad. The staff were ok not super friendly but also not dickheads. However, I did not like the area. It is full of old hotels with poor structure. The only good thing is that it is close to the blue mosque and the hagisofia mosque and the topqapi palace. I would not recommend the area in general. You are better staying in somewhere like taksim and just visiting this part of the town. Also teh price was not good at all, for the same price I reserved a better and more comfortable hotel in taksim, which is higher class area of the town.
- S (10/5): 4 day Istanbul stay - Stayed strictly for tourism. For Istanbul this hotel location was absolutely amazing. It is literally bang on in the middle from all the historic monuments and is really really well located. We stayed here for 4 nights
- Verified traveler (4/5): unforgetable - We were moved to the hotel Erbil next door after two days as management said that there was a technical fault. Asur is a two star very small bed and breakfast. Clean, but in need of refurbishment. There is a damp smell and the sewage needs looking at in both hotels. Staff friendly at Asur, but if you have to move refuse to stay at Erbil, on Expedia advertised as 19km from airport, but was really 65km
- Verified traveler (6/5): Location can't be beat! Everything else can be! - Location of this hotel is amazing. Unfortunately, the condition of the rooms are poor. Floor is in poor condition, mold in the bathroom and there are bugs in the room (little ants crawling around). Breakfast was decent, selection was reasonable.
- Carol (8/5): Friendly staff - It was a good hotel in a great location. Breakfast was okay. All staff freindly and helpful.
- Pete (10/5): Perfect base for exploration - The hotel is very well placed for exploring the major sites in the city, I never needed public transport except when visiting the Asian side! The room was clean and everything worked fine.
- Wipulasena (10/5): Location Location Location!!!!! - This was the perfect place to stay. Hotel location was conveniently located for tourists to visit the sites. Staff was very helpful, polite, friendly and professional. The manager Serhat and front desk staff, Metin & Mehmet were great! Breakfast was included which was a huge plus. And rooms were simple and clean. A whole bunch of restaurants were right around the corner as well as gift shops. We enjoyed our stay in this nice and small hotel...will definitely come again!
- B. gonzalez (10/5): Perfect place for the average tourist - My stay in Istanbul was made even better by my hotel selection. Air conditioning that cooled the room within seconds of turning on the air conditioner. The staff ..... Nothing but excellent - all of them. From the concierge guys to the breakfast to cleaning. All very accommodating and friendly. The location can't be beat. You are in walking distance from all the major tourist attractions and if you want to see something out of the way, the concierge checks to see if there is a bus service to pick you up... I was very happy with my selection.. Almost forgot... They offer an excellent free breakfast.. Eat up and it should last you through lunch.
- Sololadytourist (10/5): Nice, inexpensive hotel - It's within walking distance of many main attractions. Although it doesn't have a restaurant, it is located on a street with many to choose from. The room was cleaned immaculately every day and the breakfast buffet had a generous range of options and was beautifully presented. The only thing I found off-putting was that the receptionist demanded to know where I was going when I heading out of the hotel on the first day I arrived (shouted after me!). He seemed to think that I should consult with him about my plans and book only book site-seeing tours through him. After this quite uncomfortable first exchange, I was hesitant to ask for information or even directions.
- Carolina Amram-Bush (8/5): Closeness, Hospitality, & Excellence of service - My stay at Istanbul was memorable! The staff at the Asur Hotel was outstanding. The front desk staffers work like few I've ever encountered and they give service to every client who walks in that door, unconditionally. They are professional at all times. The air conditioning broke once and they took care of it immediately. I did not need to remind them of anything. Whether it was the hair dryer, the shower, a phone call, taxi, an address, whatever, they were prompt and willing. Remarkable young men. Polite and knowledgeable. Breakfasts were generous to say the least, banquet-styled. Location is within 10 minutes of almost all historical sites in Sultanahmet district. Trams & Metro stations are 2 to 3 minutes away. Area is very safe, even if not the prettiest one because it lacks a water view. I'd stay again at the Asur if I returned to Istanbul!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Decent hotel close to the historic centre - The main historic sites of Istanbul in the Golden Horn are all within a short walking distance. Staff are professional and helpful. Good budget travel option.
- Stuart (6/5): Close to sights, Walls really thin - (I'm going to preface this review by stating that the airline lost our bags for the entire 3 days we were in Istanbul, so its possible I am more negative about our experience than otherwise.) The hotel is pretty nicely located for the Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, and other sights, so its pretty good if your goal is sightseeing. The hotel is surrounded by restaurants, so its pretty easy to find food. The room itself (on 4th floor) was clean and the maid service was fine. The shower in the bathroom, while giving lots of hot water with nice pressure, was oddly hard to get into; It was right next to the toilet, and there was something like an 18inch step up into the shower. It was fine for us, but might be difficult for someone with less mobility (obviously other rooms may not have the same shower). There were two big problems; First, our hotel room looked out over what I am assuming was some kind of condemned building. It looked pretty awful. We found Istanbul a bit grubby in general (if you're excited about feral animals, Istanbul is your city) but still the view was unpleasant. Second, the walls of our room were incredibly thin; If we could speak Turkish and/or Russian I think we'd have overheard some incredibly fun after 2am conversations that our neighbors had. But as it was, they just kept us awake. Ultimately, the hotel is pretty conveniently located and reasonably priced, but might have some drawbacks depending on your reasons for visiting.
- B Badger (6/5): Ok hotel in the heart of all you want to see. - If you are looking for a reasonably priced hotel that is right in the centre of everything you want to see and do then this is the place. Well connected with the tram line just around the corner you can easily get here from the airport with the metro and tram. You are five minute walk from Gelata bridge and the rest of the sights like The Blue Mosque, The Grand and Spice Bazaars,Haghia Sophia, Topaki Palace and the Basilica Cistern. You can catch a trip up the Bosphorous or see the whirling Dervishes all within a stones throw.
However if you are looking for a hotel with great views this isnt the one (please see photo). Its the perfect place to be comfortabe and not have to hike to get anywhere. Plenty of restaurants and tea houses around if you want to stay local at night but still not far from Beyoglu for the big shopping streets late night bars and music.
- Clive (10/5): Comfortable and Quiet - We chose this hotel because it is within walking distance of the main attractions (Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia and waterfront for a boat trip up the Bosporus). The hotel is quiet, clean, very reasonably priced and the staff were very helpful. There are also plenty of excellent restaurants within a couple of minutes walk for dinner. Finally, if you get lost in Istanbul (as we did) you can follow the tramlines to get you back to the hotel!
- Jennie (8/5): Hotel was basic but clean. - The rooms were small but adequate. Very clean all round. Breakfast was the same every day and could have included some fruit.
Generally the hotel met our needs.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Awesome Location - The hotel was delightful. The street was delightful. The accessibility to everything we wanted to see was delightful. The staff was delightful. The Turkish Delights were delightful. Rooms were nothing too fancy, but were clean. For the price, definitely worth the stay.
- tazi (6/5): Good family hotel - The location is great, clean, Good Breakfast and the stuff are helpful except one which he was the night we're arrived , he was nice at first, but when my sister was stuck in the bathroom and I asked him for help he was rude to me !
- YL (6/5): Poor Service - After inspecting a room we wanted to make a booking for a week's time. The receptionist advised that they can't offer the best rates in person and to "book online". Fair enough, so we booked a double room, but when we showed up we were given a triple room with 3 double beds. Bringing this up with the same receptionist was very rude and unhelpful. No explanation was given about why our booked double room was not available, he simply kept stating "all rooms are full", "what's the difference if we push the beds together", and eventually said the only alternative he could offer was a single room! The rest of the hotel and staff were fine, only the attitude of one receptionist ruined our stay.
- g c (10/5): great location - the hotel was spotlessly clean & in a great location one & only criticism the bed was very hard
- James (8/5): Good hotel - Perfect base for seeing all the sights around the old city. Short walk from the tram stop so easy to get to from airport. Room was fine - no complaints. Staff were helpful and friendly.
