They almost immediately reached out to let us know they could help arrange airport transfers(for a reasonable cost) as well as help with any kind of tour bookings or excursions. They were very welcoming and knowledgeable of the area. Location was perfecr, lots of historical sights nearby and lots of late night food and drink options. Our group had such a good experience, and I can't emphasize enough how accommodating the staff were. They definitely showed us the true definition of Turkish hospitality even before our stay. Id also like to ad that some of the Tout's in the area can be VERY pushy(this is to be expected if you want to stay within close proximity to the historical sites), but the area in front of the hotel and attached restaraunt youll have breakfast at are a hassle free zone, and they make a point of enforcing it. They offer hookah as well. We had an early morning flight(before restaraunt opened), and the kind gentleman at the front desk even made sure we had sandwhiches to go since we'd be missing the complimentary breakfast when we got on our shuttle to the airport Overall, finding this place was such a blessing for us. We booked last minute after canceling our reservation at ciragan palace due to some last minute emergency vet bills and life events, and the location, service, and price really couldnt be beat.

Recommended and organized a sunset cruise around the Bosphorus for $20 euro each. Fabulous. The next day we had a private tour with Sait who was so terrific. $100 euro each. We had vip entrance to the underground cistern system which was unbelievable. Also Hagia Sophia and blue mosque, spice market, metro system and a first class authentic lunch in the old city. We picked this hotel by chance and were so very very pleased. Highly recommend.

Natalie (8/5): Solid Stay at Senatus - We had a good stay at the Senatus hotel, very close (5-7 min walk) to the main historic sites like Haga Sophia, Blue Mosque, and the Topkapi palace. We felt welcomed and the staff were friendly and suggested tours to us when we asked. The breakfast varied a bit each day and was good. We had the deluxe room with balcony and enjoyed the view, with a small view of the haga Sophia over the side. The one downside of the room was that it smelled a bit funny and we aired it out at the end of the day, but I think it was because of the pipes and likely something not easily fixed. A few things to note: it was a bit loud at night with the bars and restaurants, so we were happy we had a sound machine. There is also a lot of hassling that the nearby restaurants do as you walk by, but luckily not the hotel restaurant. It is about a 20-25 min walk from the ferry and the Galata bridge, and if I had to go again I’d do a hotel a little more in between the main sites and the Galata bridge area. It is an uphill walk to the main areas and coming back from Galata area, so may be challenging for those with accessibility needs. I’d give this hotel an overall good rating, and I appreciate staying at smaller places that aren’t chains to support local. Its no frills and won’t suit fancier travelers, but for us semi-budget travelers it worked well.

Mansur (10/5): Great stay in Istanbul - Small rooms but very comfortable. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Amazing location and at a great price. They have their own restaurant with great Turkish cuisine. This hotel is a 10/10.

deneen (10/5): - The young man at the front desk was amazing. He scheduled a bosphorous tour for us and it was a great way to see some things that we wouldn’t have been able to do since we were only there for 2 days post cruise. The free breakfast was absolutely delicious with a variety of choices. The waiter at the restaurant was so sweet! I wish I would have gotten his name, however I do know his cats name is Sylvester. The bed was comfortable and so close to everything! 10 out of 10!!

John (8/5): Perfect Location, Great restaurants near by and close to tourist areas. - The Location is excellent, lots of eateries, Breakfast ok, Room was fine, The Staff were very helpful and welcoming, The Restaurant Next door Albura Bistro serves excellent food at great prices, I would say this was one of the best Restaurant on that strip. Maybe a room with a view would have made the experience more enjoyable.
Maahi (8/5): - Great location if you want to go to the big two mosques. Hotel is very lowkey and quiet. Guy at the front is nice. The double room is tiny but okay if you are going with a close friend or family member, someone you are comfortable with. Room was clean. Was a little depressing vibe because it seemed like we were the only ones there and lighting was dim.
Christina (6/5): - We had an average experience at this hotel. It's in a central location which is helpful, but it's loud at night due to being on a strip with bars/cafes. Otherwise, the room was small but clean. Also, expect to be pursued aggressively by the surrounding businesses wanting you to come into their shops and cafes.

Lily (10/5): - Great place to start our vacation! Convenient location to Sultanhmed Plaza and so many restaurants close by. Staff were wonderful, buffet breakfast was also great! Can't complain! Will stay here again in a heartbeat!

Judit (9/5): Superb - Good breakfast with a touch of Turkish flavour. Prepared and helpful personnel at non stop reception. Best of all was the location right at Hagia Sophia's corner, 5 minutes walk from all to be visited places. We got exactly what was promised, nothing negative.

Verified traveler (8/5): Great location - We have stayed at this hotel on many occasions and cannot fault the service we have received. Location is great- close to many tourist attractions including the blue mosque and Sofia Hagia. On the down side, a new bar has opened up across the hotel and unfortunately they have music blaring until 3am! Breakfast was also basic compared to previous years.

Simone (9/5): I would definitely recommend the Senatus as a place to stay when in Istanbul. - A family run business, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The location is excellent for all the main sites of Istanbul. The restaurant downstairs was also very good and highly recommend. I didn’t find anything I didn’t like. I thought it was superb!
Kwanhathai (10/5): Great small hotel with excellent location - We had a great stay. The staff were very accommodating and would go above and beyond for your request. The hotel was clean and location was excellent. Only comment was there should be more shelf and hooks in the bathroom (the room I stayed has 0). Overall, we had a great stay and would come back again next time
Dory3 (10/5): I will book this hotel again, had a lovely staying. - The cleanliness of the hotel, the rooms, the bathroom, everything was perfect.Everything was clean, the room was cozy. They have soundproof isolation, hot water at any hour in day and night. So close to the tourist atractions ( Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque etc) , close to restaurants,close to transportation. The pictures correspond to reality. .
Mohd (8/5): Nice for a short stay - 1. Its location and friendly staffs 2. Family room is quite spacious 1. The double room toilet has no lock. Very strange indeed. 2. Breakfast was minimal. Just add scramble eggs would be just nice. 3. Having to shower in a bath tub.
