Out of the hotels we stayed in Italy, this was the only hotel that took time to give a receipt. Even I have requested it ahead of time at this booking app. Also, there is a room appreciation tax and f&b appreciation tax that will be divided amongst the staff. Though you have the freewill to have it taken out, it is kinda shameful to have it deducted when it was already printed on the invoice. :) It makes customers have a harder time to say no, rather than we freely give the tips ourselves.

Nicola (9/5): Perfect base to explore Florence - The perfect base from which to explore Florence. All the main attractions were just a few minutes' walk away, so we could drop off bags and carry on exploring unencumbered. The hotel was a haven of tranquillity after a hectic day exploring the city. We were always met by a cheerful doorman who welcomed us back. The heated towel rail and excellent GHD hairdryer were an added bonus. The staff were, without exception, friendly and helpful.

Dyana (10/5): Een ervaring die ons altijd bij zal blijven - De locatie en het vriendelijke personeel. Ik noem hier Martina die werkzaam was tijdens het ontbijt. Maar het overige personeel was ook zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Massage was niet op niveau. Een niet Engelse masseuse is absoluut onaanvaardbaar. Zeker voor het bedrag wat ervoor wordt gevraagd.

Hewa (7/5): every thing were perfect until last night ! - The hotel has a perfect location in downtown Florence close to many amazing attractions It is very clean the breakfast is excellent and the reception staff are extremely welcoming with a warm friendly smile Nothing serious but I think the concierge team needs some training to be more polite and to show more willingness to assist new guests and respect their needs I would also suggest bringing in some new enthusiastic staff members who are eager to excel in their roles

MC (10/5): More enjoyable than the Four Seasons! - Absolutely fantastic stay, staff were excellent - very accommodating and really went the extra mile to make our stay as special as possible. Bedroom was spacious and very comfortable/clean. Excellent hotel bar and outdoor dining space on the square - perfect for people watching. Breakfast one of the best we've had! Stayed previous night at the Four Seasons and have to say that - pool and tranquil setting aside - The Savoy surpassed in every other quantifiable way! Location is brilliant too and hotel is well insulated from the noise.

Rashed (4/5): Fake charges - Location Upon check out I was surprised that I am being charged 500 euros extra for breakfast of the previous guest and 100 euros for two cups of coffee and a daily tip of 65 euros of my stay. This is super weird and shady of a hotel in this price range. Be carcere upon checking out and check what are you being charged for

Lisa (10/5): We can’t wait to go back!! - Magnificent property. Newly renovated. Emily from Guest Service is AMAZING! She makes everyone feel like they are at home instead of at a hotel. She is smart and has much cultural humility, as well. Franco greeted is upon arrival and anticipated our needs! Kind thoughtful. The concierge pulled off a small miracle and arranged ticket to the Academia for us to see David, completely at the last minute. We had a suite. Was a wonderful stay!

Cheow Sun (10/5): - Staff from Savoy Hotel made us feel ao much at home and everyone was so friendly and helpful that we extended our stay in Florence instead of going back to Rome city centre before flying home. Mr Ruggero Vannini (Head Concierge) was extremely helpful in ensuring our train tickets were swiftly booked. The restaurant staff were very attentive and we had some nice conversations with the staff there. Florence is an excellent city and Hotel Savoy is the place to stay as it is so convenient to walk to the wonderful sights and sounds that this city offers. We highly recommend!

Jassim (8/5): Very good - Location is perfect. Staff very attentive. The king bed were two twin beds put together. For a junior suite, it’s supposed to be a single mattress. However, it’s worth noting that we didn’t raise the issue with them. The reception charged me for €4689 instead of €4263. They made a mistake of charging me for 4 nights based on there daily rates & not my booking rate. I asked if the extra charge was a deposit to use for the restaurant or laundry for example. They said no. I went back & forth, but the receptionist wasn’t willing to admit he made a mistake. His answer was that this is just a pre-authorization only.

Lindsaykk (9/5): One of the few remaining truly 5 star hotels. Recommended for your stay in Florence. - We stayed for three nights. From the moment we arrived we felt immediately welcome. Throughout the stay the staff recognised us and called us by name. On one occasion driving back to the hotel in our car the road we normally went down was blocked and Eugene the doorman guided us in by phone for nearly ten minutes, driving in the centre of Florence is a bit tricky. The room was beautifully appointed and the housekeeping was excellent. Biscuits and copious amounts of water left in room. Shower and bathroom best so far in our trip across Italy. Breakfast was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and staff very attentive, never waited for a moment. We would usually have a drink in the evening before setting out for a meal and again great service, drinks served with olives and nuts etc. A proper 5 star hotel slap bang in the middle of Florence. no tea making facilities in the room. Unless we didn't find them...
