Guest Reviews
- Bandar (2/5): Fake property - The property is fake . One one there . They steel my money. I tried calling them more then 10 times no one answer. There isn’t front desk in the property. I knocked out the door then women said go away nothung here . I wasn’t alone , there were guys also had the same problem and they called the company who booked for then to return the money.
I want my money back , otherwise I will ask the police to go to the property to check it out and catch the cookers .
I spend more then 3 hours outside. Then I took another hotel . I’ll send you my invoice in other hotel .
Kind regards
Bandar Alsharari
- Verified traveler (8/5): - An ok entry-level hostel for a stay of a day or two. My only concern was the lack of toilet paper, but maybe this was accidental.
- Verified traveler (4/5): You get what you pay for... - Was the cheapest city centre place in Vienna - and it shows - all furniture is poorly maintained. I booked a twin room, but when I arrived, it was a room with bunk beds - I'm an adult not a teenager Sign in was by a note on the door and nobody there to talk to...overall a disappointing experience
- Mónica (6/5): - Quiet and warm place to rest.
The beds and pillows are uncomfortable.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Really good location.
Easy Check in and Check out.
Really clean, 2 bathrooms, 2 WC
for couples it's a little bit tricky, because there were bunk beds, but for a group of people it's awesome.
Totally recommend !
- Alexandre (10/5): - Very nice place ! Clean and the front desk very friendly
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I didn’t like the fact that we being told to take shoes off on winter or to take all the bed sheets off, we paid a lot of money for not having someone cleaning or changing beds
After we leave
Even hostels would do
- MuhammadRaza (10/5): - Very cosy environment and not too crowded and busy. Perfect for long term or short term stay. Well managed and cleaned everyday.
Towels were not the cleanest and one of the mattress was not in good condition but overall, happy with our stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Student house atmosphere. Fast internet. Quiet. Good materace
- Cristan (6/5): Interesting - After three nights, I'm not sure if this is a hostel or long-term student accommodation. The location is good, but the facility is lacking. Extension cords and computer wiring are taped to the floor throughout. The "kitchen" consists of a microwave, hotplate, and kettle all to be plugged into an extension cord and sitting on a beat up cupboard on the floor. The "kitchen" sink is in another room near a toilet. The utensils appear to be a collection from a yard sale, as is the furniture in the common room.
- Laura (4/5): - Towels and sheets looks very old and unclean. location is not bad.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Last case, cheap stay - Bathrooms too tight and wet, electrical cord taped. No bed sheet provided, just 2 duvet covers and pillow cases.
- Cyan (10/5): - The room is spacious and the hostel is clean.
- Meredith (6/5): Meh but I'll take it - Like every other review. The beds aren't very good, pillows lumpy, and the sheets are too small for the bed. There is limited bathroom space, both for toilet and shower, and for half the day the staff is blocking most of it. With that said, I surprisingly didnt have issues using the facilities for the most part.
So, I wanted to go to Vienna on a budget and that's what I did. I got what I paid for, I cant really complain. But if you're picky, definitely not the place for you.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The rooms we’re much smaller than expected. Few amenities, and dirty rooms/bathrooms. Dogs aren’t allowed yet the owners dog is hanging around. There we re sticky notes all over the place telling you *you cant do that, you cant do this*. We had to take of our shoes at the door, which was also very unpleasant. Some of us don’t feel comfortable leaving 500€ worth of shoes outside next to the door. The bedding was dirty, the walls we re fixed with plank of wood just shoved on. If you want to go to the toilet at night you gotta dress up, because probably someone is outside at 3 am drinking wine and talking loudly (which is not allowed but the owner is never there). I have no idea where the owner goes but if you have a problem you can only talk to her by phone or on a messaging app. Very disappointed, would not recommend or stay again until things change.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Rude staff, uncomfortable stsy - The bedding is extremely uncomfortable. The pillow was lumpy, the sheets did not fit over the bed, and our towels smelled like mold when we first got them. The rooms do not have much ventilation. The staff is rarely around. I was turned off because the morning that we checked out, we out to breakfast and left our luggage in the room. When we returned (mind you, before checkout time), our luggage had been taken out of our room and put in the lobby. The staff had stuffed my friend's into his bag, which had been closed. We were offended that we were rudely being thrown out without being late for checkout and that at least one of our bags had been opened by the staff.
- Katelyn (4/5): Not good - Bed bugs in the beds my friend and I had bits ALL OVER! Bathrooms were filthy, no shampoo body wash etc provided so I had to use a bar of soap in my hair as it was all that was available. Room size and layout was okay (room with a bunk bed). Very very hot and stuffy whether you had window open or not. Was a fan in the room which was good. Beds very uncomfortable to sleep in. accidentally left my ring in the bathroom which was my fault however I asked 2 women on 2 separate occassions (that night I left t and the next morning) if anyone had handed it in or if they’d seen it and both just laughed at me and said someone took it without even bothering to help.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great time - Had a great time, comfy beds and very close to the centre of Vienna
- mihai (2/5): - Aceasta locatie este un hostel, nicidecum o pensiune. Conditiile de cazare sunt ,fara comentarii, jalnice!!! Nu voi recomanda niciodata altei persoane aceasta locatie. Copilul meu a avut un soc cand am ajuns acolo.
- Beca (2/5): - No windows in the room that could open and no working fan
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Check in was easy and simple. while the staff was offsite they were easy to contact over the phone. The building itself is in need of some repairs and improvements. Also our towels were stale and stiff and the pillows smelled sour. The hostel is in a good location close to public transportation. Great for a cost effective stay if you only plan on sleeping there.
- Lelia (8/5): - Excellent location. Very quiet. Good
- Verified traveler (2/5): Disappointing. - Under construction, dirty bathroom with a leaking pipe from a broken heater, no soap, cold water. I was disappointed.
- anjali (4/5): - NOT very comfortable
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This was a safe clean and good overall choice for a single women traveller
- Verified traveler (4/5): Inaccurate Advert - After booking a room with 'private bathroom´ we were provided a room with a communal bathroom. There were no staff on site at any point during our stay to raise this concern. The hotel was strange with rules written everywhere in broken English, some of which were hard to understand. Much of the hotel was undergoing maintenance making it messy. The beds in the rooms were very uncomfortable seeming to slope to one side. The hotel is close to both the main station and town so location wise is okay, I wouldn´t however recommend staying here for any more than one night.
- Tobias (10/5): - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the pension room see all parts of the stay were perfect.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A pleasant stay for a single night in Vienna. The facility was midway between the city center and the central station, making it an ideal place to rest one's head for a night. The price point also cannot be beat; most of the negative reviews are because customers expect a five star hotel but the pension is rather nice for 35 euros.
- Verified traveler (4/5): RIDICULOUS PICK UP KEY POINT - Place to pick the key is consider tremendously ridiculous. It was so far away. The heater and kettle in the house not even functioning. We were too tired to even complaint during our stay.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Stay was very pleasant. Staff were nice and accommodating, beds were comfortable, place was spotless.
- Tyler (6/5): Pretty average - Great location. Bathtub has no plug. Taking off your shoes wasnt so bad. Communal kettle. For a warm sleep it was awesome. Laundry is limited. Went in offseason so it wasnt too packed, shared bathrooms werent such a hassle. Overall would stay again if within budget.
- GORAN (8/5): - It was interesting 😁
- Verified traveler (2/5): worst ever !!!! - Never go to this rubbish-ish accommodation.
no excuses for the lowest-knot services.
Rude, arrogant, out of service minded.
They noticed my room had been changed by radiator construction only a week before my check-in unilaterally !!
My new hotel was 40 minutes away by subway.
Even worse, they refused repayment.
Never go and save money.
- Emily (2/5): - Firstly, let me start this review by saying I have never ever left a bad review before, and my boyfriend and I have very low standards for accomodation.
I say this because we read the bad reviews and thought it must just be people complaining who normally have higher standards, its cheap, it will be fine, we will go for it anyway.
I cannot emphasise enough how wrong we were!
The 'hotel' isn't really a hotel at all, but rather a ground floor space that has been split up into cubicles and beds have been put in. You have to take your shoes off on arrival, and no shoes are allowed at all, not even flip flops or slippers.
The host seems nice enough, although we booked the double room and when we got there she asked us to have a twin room instead, which we just got on with.
The rooms have clearly been created by putting up thin partition walls on top of the same floor. This results in you being able to hear anyone walking or moving, and very clearly hear them talking or anything they are watching.
There are 3 toilets in total and 3 showers shared between everyone, but they are all a bit odd. There are leads and wires everywhere and all the plumbing seems to have been done by them as opposed to a trained plumber.
The bedding smelt a bit of damp and just unpleasant. When you check out you are expected to strip your own bed too.
Our feet were covered in dust and I don't want to think what because you can't wear any kind of shoe.
I do not recommend to anyone.
- Peter (6/5): - The hotel was located in a convenient location wit public transport in all corners. The hotel facilities were clean and easy to use. The only issue I have with the hotel is the large amount of wires in the bathrooms. This could have been extremely dangerous. The hotel provided plates and utensils as well as a kettle and hot plate for cooking. Overall the hotel was reasonable for its price.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - No hot water. No shower. Old smelly towels. Common bathroom. Price should be no more than 15 dollars tax included
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Booked a double room and were provided with a quadruple room and had to move for our second night to another quadruple room. - both with single beds and no doubles. Towels were clean, however they carried a smell of cooking oil. Unusual that it was requested shoes to be removed at the door. Good location, only 15 minute walk from main train station and city centre.
- Gehenna Mari (2/5): Remove this in the website - This hostel should not be up for any website and should be inspected by the city. There’s many wirings, electric connections that’s taped all around and has signs pls don’t touch everywhere. This is like a dormitory in a far flung asian community. Check in and check out was worst cuz there’s no available front desk 24 hours as it says in the website. This is my second stay in a hostel and the first one was far better. She does not even provide towels. I have to literally get another hotel.
- Frank (6/5): - Convenient location, however room was small, and I was bitten by bed bugs, otherwise the most affordable hostel in town.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not so good - not so good. absence of security.
- DT (2/5): Stressful and serious safety concerns - It is not a hotel it is pension with some unreasonable house rules and not much concern to the well being of guests. I complained that the railings in one of the bunkbeds were wobbly and unsafe, the person who runs the place said that if the bed would fall on the person underneath over night, she would give me a full refund in the morning. I was terrified and my husband ended up fixing the bed himself.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Well situated, beside 62 and 1 trams close 2centre - Very very clean. But pipes sticking out everywhere, walls and floors, they need to finish off the work, I wouldn't call it hotel, never staff on desk, it's a very clean hostel
- Karen (2/5): The only good thing is locatio. - We arrived and the owner said take shoes off we already were then shewanted our money strait away. She said cash I said haven't got enough but have a dsbit card she said hurry up.We questioned her about the money as our quote was in NZ dollars asked her if we could have a minute to wokr it out.The mistake seemed to be in the wotif and we paid the money as agreed
.There a prayed to be 1 toilet to what could have been 12 guests or more if the beds were full.Found the second toilet where you wash the dishes. There was no hot water in there. The keeler was on top of a dryer next to a tv screen.Element for cooking beside the large tv.Really stupid and dangerous.Host didn't show us around no evacuation plan no fire extinshers.Rules were taped up every where.Toilet paper put in plugs in bathroom. It was a nightmare.Take it off your books.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This place is not recommended. You have to take your shoes off upon entrance. The beds are just a piece of foam. Very uncomfortable! It was so hot and the little fan they gave didn't do the job. There is no kitchen just a communal fridge and some hot plates.
- jodi (6/5): Decent place to rest your head. Nothing special - When we got to the hotel our room was double booked and we had to sleep in a room with bunk beds instead of a double for the first night. Luckily we were moved to a double room the next night.
The accommodation in general is very basic , and you are made to take your shoes off at the door which is quite annoying.
The electrics in the building are questionable with plugs being stuffed with toilet roll and sellotaped to the walls.
The host leaves notes everywhere to tell you what you can’t touch or use.
On the plus side the location is great and the accommodation is cheap if you just need a place to rest your head.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Room is okay if staying in Vienna for a day or two. What ruined my experience was the noise. I was woken by people in the next door room talking loudly and laughing. I knocked on the wall and they cursed at me. 2/5 stars
- Melanie (6/5): - Very accommodating staff (I was arriving late and they made very helpful arrangements. Overall the guests and converted house were good - it's just naturally very noisy down the corridors. There were lots of bathrooms, so waiting around for a shared bathroom at all. A bus stop was very close, but the walk into town was very pleasant. Overall, for the location and price, I would definitely recommend the pension.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The host was very lovely and welcoming. The location is ideal, with a 20 minute walking distance to the centre.
The room was basic, and had everything we needed, however our room did have ants and the bedding, although clean, smelt stale and this was amplified by the heat.
Upon entry you are not allowed to wear shoes inside and have to leave them by the door, if you dont mind walking around bare foot then there is no problem!
There are helpful signs dotted around the accommodation, including where to eat, drink and opening times. Must advise that if you come down on a sunday, no local supermarkets are open so eating is a must.
Overall if you are looking for cheap accommodation close to the centre then this is the one for you. Bare in mind that what you pay is what you get.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The lasy running the hostel was very nice but all the ahared kitchen and dinning facilities and equipement were very old and not in good condition. Bathrooms were fine. Bunk bed had such a thin matress than you could feel the 5 supporting bars in your back and it was very uncomfortable
- elvis (8/5): Just 1 night - Space is small but no big deal for just 1 night
- Robert (8/5): Friendly hostel good location - Handy for the train station and the town. Friendly welcome, nice comfortable bed, good to have a nice big TV and basic cooking area and kettle. Coulddo with some repairs but it was clean and good for our sightseeing trip to Vienna
- Sam (8/5): You get what you pay for. - For the price that you pay, this hostel does just fine. If you can get past having to take your shoes off before you enter the building and staying in a small room, than it’s not the worst, but it’s certainly not the best either.
- Axeheat (6/5): Back to boarding school memories ! - I am Happy i booked for one day. Let me clear it is HOSTEL not a hotel.
There is dont do sign everywhere. Reminded me of some boarding school.
The room i got was opposite the road. So bit noisy and light pass through in the night.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not recommend.. - There were lots of rules that made us inconvenient.
- Luke (4/5): Communist hostel - After finding out the owner was Korean I can only assume that it was North Korea, they rule over this hostel with an iron grip, shoes off, signs EVERYWHERE about how you should go about your day. Uncomfortable room with bunk beds and hot. Would not like to be there in summer. Metro link into Vienna a short 4 minute walk. Or about 15min walk into the centre. Owners were friendly enough but just bet controlling. Would not stay again. Get what you pay for suppose.
- JORGE (2/5): Stay away - Terrible, they don’t answer phone calls, when we arrived we had to ring the bell like 5 times, finally somebody showed up and they were only interested in getting our money, that person was neurotic, I wish o had stay somewhere else. They have ridiculous policies like remove your shoes at the entrance, prohibition signs everywhere, beds uncomfortable, bathrooms dirty. Don’t recommend it. This place is not worth one euro.
- Tamara (4/5): - The receptionist who takes care of the hostel was very friendly and nice. However, our first night, the guests previous to us had smoked all night in the room (though prohibited) and the room smelt strongly of cigarette. It was a bit noisy at night as the window is at level with passbys and cars so it's kind of hard to sleep with the window open.
- PdS (8/5): Not one for a boy's stag do....... - From the moment you open the door and see the array of shoes you know you are in a very different world.
This is an Oriental run business - so the mores are very different. Greeted by the bowing Host(ess) and in one's stocking feet - (slippers are discouraged for some reason) one is reminded to keep noise to a minimum for the benefit of the other guests. Kitchenette items are available although no basin - only a small washstand - in the hall. However for the price it was very good value.
- Kris (6/5): Value-Oriented Hotel in good location - The hotel, overall, met my expectations for a budget-traveller. The staff was very friendly upon arrival and went out of her way to assist us in lcoating various local amenities (transit, tourist locations, reccomendations on places to eat, etc.). The room was fairly small (the room was approximately the same width as the bed - which in itself took up about 1/3 of the floor space - so there were some issues manuvering around the room and finding space to place luggage so it wasn't blocking the door). Additionally, the room utilized a large window (we were on the first floor, so the window was certainly closed at night) as its main source of temperature control, so the room did get fairly warm on hotter days. The hotel also featured acceptable WC facilities and a nice open "common room" as well.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not too bad - The owner keeps the hostel really clean, but you have to follow her rules, like take off all shoes at the entrance. Although it was super clean around, my pillow was really stinky and my towel smelled like b.o. It's a 30-min walk to the city centre area
- Allysha (6/5): an average stay - I have never stayed in a hostel before, so keep that in mind in this review. The rooms were cozy but pleasant. The closet for me to put my stuff in was broken on 2/3 hinges. The shower was spacious. The laundry was inexpensive but I never was able to find her in the morning. She provided a fan but asked me not to use it. She also asked me to check out early so someone else could move in my bed. The luggage storage service is not available on a Sunday - which is good to know for future customers. And come with cash, she pushes for that instead of card.
- Lorna (10/5): Great base for a day of sight seeing - Room was really nice, decorated well, comfy beds. There is two showers between 7 rooms so can get a bit hectic. Also two toilets. Area is good, right beside a tram stop and a dm shop for toiletries etc. Owner is super nice.
- Trang Rose (10/5): Beautiful hotel in the middle of the city center - I love both the exterior and interior of this hotel, the building was really beautiful from the outside, and the hotel had a really impressive designed underground bar, cozy, comfortable, luxury and creative. The room was a bit small, but I would not complain anything, because the furniture and everything was modern, clean and comfortable. And I have to say that it's much cheaper than a hotel with the same condition and location in Japan.
The staff were very friendly and helpful (we met 3 of them). We came back late at night and asked for our free drinks (got it with VIP access via Expedia) but the night staff showed no reluctance but guided us to their beautiful bar and prepared the drinks right away.
- Kyle (8/5): - It's a great value off not the most luxurious place.
- nick (4/5): room not ready - After travelling 5 hours it was very disappointing to be told on arrival (no pre-warning) our room was not ready and we would be spending the night in a room through the office that was a laundry cupboard. Bunk beds that were hard to even get in to & left bruises, wires across the floor & up the walls, nails sticking out all over, no windows and stale air. She did discount the price for the first night and we were able to move our bags into the room we had booked the next morning, however if we had had the option of staying elsewhere we would have (difficult when you're on a budget and a Saturday night). The common room facilities were quite good with cooking equipment and tea and coffee available but our milk was taken from the fridge even though we had labelled it up. Also no shoe policy inside so if you have to wear insoles (like my gf does) then this place is a nightmare. What with language difficulties and the room kerfuffle it wasn't the romantic Vienna experience we were hoping for. Also we were given the key to our room the night before and we could have gone in when other people were staying there so didn't really feel like our belongings were safe. There is a note that says you can leave luggage til 6pm on the day you check out but ask first as it turned out it was only for certain times. After umming a lot, she said she could manage to be there when we wanted to collect but after all the rest we didn't trust this and found lockers at the station which were €4.50.
- Antonio (8/5): - Really enjoyed my stay. The hosts were excellent they even gave me some snacks while enjoying a game
- Suncica (2/5): - I was angry cause nowhere said that we don't have own toilet and bathroom per room. We thought that we don't have to share with other people who are in pansion. So, the price is bigger that this pansion worth, because on the same site you can find the better hotel with more stars for the same price
- Cambria (4/5): Book elsewhere - Don't waste your money staying at this hostle. We were very disappointed with our stay. The owner was rude and controlling. Insulted our country and over charged us. Kept coming into our room to tell us check out was at 10 even though it was only 9. Room was cold with only one small blanket. We wished we hadn't stayed here.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location and value - owner made sure we were happy! what else can you want?
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very affordable, clean and central - I was pleasantly surprised. The place was very clean and quiet for a hostel. I shared a room but there was only one other person there. It was central and convenient to explore Vienna.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cute place - It was really hot inside but the bed was comfy and the whole place was very clean. The wifi was a little spotty. No safety locker but you need a key to get into the bunk rooms. Awesome location close to nice churches and museums.
- Ida (2/5): Not worth it - horrific experience - - Construction area, no warning about this online and not notified
- required to take off shoes in the hallway; resulted in dirty socks
- our booking reads 'court yard view', not street
- my room was given to someone else without my consent
- my belongings were moved without my consent = invasion of privacy
- belongings not kept safe, not put away properly
- make me wait for an hour for another room
- claimed to have freshly painted walls, not the case
- replacement room is not equal to previous room
- on first entry it was cold, but then I couldn't turn down the heating as it says 'do not touch'
- sheets have stains and are old
- no clean tea cups provided for tea, I used a soup bowl
- free toiletries not provided (only shower gel, no shampoo)
- use of hairdryer only possible after 9 because nobody present at desk before that
This sounds horrible, and it was. I don't think this place is a hotel at all, rather a poor hostel.
- Shinji (2/5): Stinky room/bed & sloppy service - There is no reception. Nobody's there. No response even I ring the bell. Finally, it took 30 min to check in. Dirty and stinky bed. It's not worth staying this hostel.
- STELIAN DANIEL (10/5): hallo wien - Nice and cute
- judy (2/5): Not happy jan! From 3 Amigoes vienna - Very rude lady who said she thought booking was for 2014' then said she had no room for us then said c/card rejected but in the meantime had confirmed our booking
We had to stay somewhere else and at least their dog didn't wee on the floor in the foyer not like this owners dog did!
- Dave (2/5): - Booked in haste, not a hotel.
Difficult to find, as it is simply an apartment in a building.
- Kathryn (10/5): - We totally enjoyed our stay. We will be returning in 10 days for 2 more nights. Teriffic location.
- Carlos (8/5): convenient location, friendly reception - Hotel was conveniently located, the manager was a super nice lady from Korea I believe and she is as helpful as she can. The room was clean, I stayed in the private room, I had no problems with the other 2 guests who were some really nice guys, one australian and the other amerian I believe. I loved the fact that it is a half a block from the bus stop of the line that takes directly to and from the new Hauptbahnhoff, the 13A as well. I would stay there again.
There are shared bathrooms and restrooms but this did not seem a problem at all.
- Jennifer (8/5): Happy with Happymit! - Stayed for a week with 2 friends. Room was clean but small. Hostess was friendly and helpful. Value for money. Wifi good. Good location close to bus stop.
- Eric (8/5): Nice, clean, basic - Nice lady helped us out, very friendly. The room is in an apartment so that was something new. Didnt spend much time there, but the bed was great and the facilities were clean.
- Mohamed Taoufiq (10/5): Nice hotel and very friendly owner - Nice hotel and very friendly owner
- Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent hotel!! - Very friendly hotel manager, very clean room, convenient location from main train station, and sightseeing places, great breakfast, highly recommended!!
- Ed (6/5): Very close to all must-see sights - Good Value pension with shared bathrooms. Close to all Vienna major sites and very close to public transportation. Good internet connection in room but no TV in room. Very basic accommodation, but adequate.
- Verified traveler (4/5): extra pay requested when you arrive - The facility is in an apartment building that has an locked entrance. The doorbell doesnt work so I called them but another resident came out as I was calling so I went in and they pointed out the direction of the pension. I was surprised to be asked for another 107 euros by the Pension manager when I arrived. there was no indication there would be extra charges when I signed up on internet . Also If you make a mistake with your dates or want to change - not possible - I left 1 day early and they would not give a refund . No kitchen which I was surprised to see - thought I would be able to cook if I wanted and was not able to. no front desk or staff available usually. No help with getting around etc. It was otherwise clean. There is a washing machine but you are not allowed to use it. Manager will do your laundry if you like. The only good thing is it is very close to the downtown core but the transit is so good in Vienna you could be further away at a better facility for likely cheaper and enjoy as well. I would not go back.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Studio apartment in annex; good value for money - Low budget option at central location in Vienna. Feels like staying in a friend's house while (s)he's on holiday.
- Juliana (8/5): Perfect Location - This is a clean and comfortable place to stay. There is free breakfast every morning and it is located extremely close to the metro and to the inner city. It is also safe and the woman who runs it is very friendly and welcoming.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very friendly - After reading some reviews I was a bit nervous about getting to this Pension, especially as I was arriving late. But I phoned the owner and got detailed instructions of how to get to the Pension with public transport and I was even met at the tram stop even though it was after midnight! The Pension is a converted ground floor apartment in a quiet neighbourhood with several bedrooms, a dining room and shared bathroom facilities. My bed was in what was the kitchen (complete with oven and fridge), but it did mean I had a sink. Breakfast was simple but that was fine with me. The Pension is only 5 minutes walk from Taubstumgasse (U1) so very easy to get to the city centre. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Y. L (8/5): Very confortable stay - The location was great, close to tram station and able to get access to everywhere in the city. Room was quiet, bed is confortable and breakfast was good. Would definitely go back if we ever stop by Vienna.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Worth the price - Accommodation was sufficient for our needs. Considering the price, it's exactly as expected. The only issue is the parking, there's no parking available, and to park on the street in the area it costs 2 euros per hour. If you want to use a parking place nearby that will set you back at least 24 euros per day. My suggestion would be to park somewhere outside the hotel and take the bus/underground to the hotel after you've parked. Unless you have a lot of luggage, going to the hotel and then going back somewhere to park will be a huge pain.
- victoria (10/5): Thanks - The place was just as the previous reviews state. The Korean lady and his husband. Nobody was there when we arrived, so it was a problem. We got there the day before our reservation started, and they were nice enough to get us a room in another place (more expensive, but very convenient when you are in such a situation). When I asked if she had eggs for breakfast, she said no, but she had an egg boiler on the following morning. She made the taxi reservation for us to be picked up at 4:15 am to go to the airport and gave us her personal phone number to call her if there was any problem.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Vienna - The hotel was inconvenient to access; There was no sign to indicate its location and no one to greet me until after a phone call and a wait. There was a lack of privacy. It was good to have a kitchen to store food and the terrace was pleasant. I only stayed one night and then moved a hotel a short distance away which was very nice for the same price.
- Tom (10/5): Delightful Place - Very nice. Run by a charming lady who was very friendly and helpful. Room was comfirtable and quiet, not overlooking any street. Location is only 1 block from city tram. Breakfast was good. Bath was shared, but there are 2 toilets and 2 showers for 4 or 5 rooms, so never a problem.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - the owner is very hospitable. we were very well received
- Solo Traveller (10/5): - Wonderful as it was close to the bus station, a pasty shop and the beach. the walk to the old town took about 10 minutes but easy to access the main promenade to town. Friendly staff. Private. Great having the two balconies.
- PETE (10/5): VALUE FOR MONEY - APARTMENT WAS VERY COMFORTABLE+ NOT TOO FAR FROM CITY CENTRE. THE KOREAN LADY WAS VERY HELPFUL
- Sherry (6/5): Adequate if you just want to sleep there - I booked this "room" because it was inexpensive, had wireless, and provided breakfast for a very low price. It is not a hotel, but a large apartment with some rooms available. The baths are shared but that was never an issue because of the few number of people staying there. It was fine for what I needed. I know Vienna very well so I can stay just about anywhere in the city and know how to get around. The nearest subway station is about a 10 minute walk. For me it was fine. I was a single professional there for a few days for a meeting. Wireless was very good. The breakfast was adequate but not offered until 8:00 AM. I may or may not stay there again. It will depend on what else is available and for what price.
- Jason (10/5): Very good experience staying there - The house owner is very nice as well as the breakfast every day! Enjoy staying there very much!
- tb (4/5): value for money - I personally found this pension a depressing place to stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Difficult to find............ - We only stayed one night. Ha was very friendly, helpful and entertaining and gave us an excellent breakfast. The room had no view and had 3 beds in it, where we only needed 1. This made the room cramped. Big problem was that we had no ensuite bathroom. Nowhere outside could we see a sign of the hotel/ pension. The price was good.
- chera (8/5): Enjoyable stay - First of all you may be disappointed if you expect a general idea of 'hotel'. It is a flat/apartment being turned into 4-rooms accommodation, with shared facilities (1 bath, 1 shower and 2 toilets). Nice breakfast is provided, washing and drying are available at your request, the whole flat is very clean. Shower head is strong and comfortable, wifi-included, near to tram station and bus stop, only 10mins from the city centre. The owner is friendly even though she speaks limited English. I would say my stay worth the price and would recommend this to others.
