• My Linh (6/5): Convenient spots to go to different casinos with shuttle buses - .We would like a buffet breakfast free of charge There was No facility to hold your hands when you walk outside the premises. It is steep and easy to fall down especially when you walk with the luggages, especially for the elderly.

• Georgy (7/5): Вполне достойное место для остановки. - Месторасположение очень удачное, особенно оценят любители казино. Отель большой, но уже требует косметического ремонта. Интернет не нормальный. В номерах чисто. Персонал вежливый. Матрасы жесткие.

Room WC with no bidet which mean everything you go to the loo you have to undress to wash unless you don’t. The worst breakfast I had in a hotel in all my life.

• Verified traveler (4/5): - 予約時のエクスペディア表示時に朝食ビュッフェの表示があったので予約しました(我が家の旅行において朝食ビュッフェが大きな楽しみの一つ)。しかし朝食ビュッフェはなく、アラカルトの食事でした。ホテル内を探しましたが、他にレストランはなく、このホテルの朝食は全てアラカルトのように思われます。ホテルの問題ではなく、エクスペディアの確認漏れおよび表示間違いではないでしょうか？返金いただきたい思いです。
• Chi Wai (8/5): 在酒店大堂未能取得房間 - 1 在澳門外港碼頭找不到專屬總統酒店的專車前往酒店 ，要乘坐 附近酒店的穿梭巴士前往酒店。 2 因為登記姓名同身份證姓名有出入 ，去到酒店取房的時候 ， 出了問題 ，最初未能夠成功取得房間。 要致電貴公司的服務員協助解決。 電話服務員態度友善， 很快幫我解決了問題。

Quando sono andato a fare check-in il personale non e' che sapesse benissimo l'inglese ma comunque e' stato molto gentile. La camera era spaziosa anche se pareva vecchiotta. La colazione mi ha deluso: e' stata a buffet il primo giorno e c'era poca scelta ed i giorni successivi c'era il menu. C'e' anche il casino' attaccato ma non ne ho fatto uso, e' a 2 minuti di cammino dalla stazione dei bus.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - I asked for a non-smoking room and was given one smelled of cigarette. I supposed they do not do a good job policing travelers and making sure they understand that non-smoking means 'Non-smoking'. My room did not have a safe and I had to use the one at the receptionist. The free wi-fi in the room is off-and-on at best but worked fine in the lobby. Breakfast in the 4th floor was a little crowded at times because of the tours visiting from mainland China. Otherwise the location is hard to beat, right in the center of action, walking distance to casinos, historical sites, churches, museums and even the ferry terminal.

• jeffreyhunt (2/5): Lousy hotwl - I should have read the TripAdvisor reviews before I booked this hotel. Virtually everything about it was bad. Our room was supposed to be smoke free but the smell of smoke permeated the elevator, hallway, and our room. The carpet was so old and smelly that my throat was sore in the morning when I woke up. Also, it was badly stained to the point that we wouldn't walk on the carpet in bare feet. The decor was horribly out of date, the mirror in the bathroom was cracked, and the TV was probably 20 years old. The mattress was like sleeping on a piece of wood. Very uncomfortable. And the breakfast was of a very bad quality, and selection was weak. You would be better off going to a nearby hotel to eat. Also, it is clear that most of the action has moved to Cotai. The casinos near the hotel were empty to the point we wondered how they could survive. We took the shuttle over to Cotai and the hotels are nicer and there are a lot more people. I strongly advise staying away from this hotel.

• jbscram (2/5): It was extremely disappointing - I went to Macau for a weekend. While the hotel's location is good, that is about it. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom is fine, but the carpet had a large stain on it and the desk was impossibly small to use. There was a definite lack of electrical outlets that were accessible as well. However, those are all moderately minor inconveniences that are not necessarily deal breakers for me. I went to the restaurant and after waiting for about 20 minutes, left. Then I thought I would go to the bar. It didn't look like anyone was working there. The front staff (with one exception, and I wish I could have gotten her name) was very unprofessional. When I would ask for directions or the best way to get to a place, I felt like I was distracting them. The biggest problem I had was the bill. I had paid the bill in advance through a booking site. They insisted on charging me again. Then when I produced from my phone app, proof that I am already being booked for the stay, it was one story after another. I asked to speak to a manager. The person left for a moment came back and said that there was no manager on duty. Then the story was that it would take 2 weeks for my deposit to be refunded. Then it was I was going to be charged. After 20 minutes or so, I directly told them that they can do what they want because I was going to simply have my bank cancel the charges. So now I am still checking my credit card every day to make sure that I am not being double charged by them. It was more aggravation and dealing with incompetence than what was needed. Under no circumstance, will I ever stay at this hotel again.

• SandsCoin (8/5): Good hotel in the Macau peninsula - The rooms are tidy and comfortable, it is much better than I expected. Its location is extremely convenient, you can either walk across the Amizade Road from Starworld or walk for just 3-5 minutes from the Lisboa. The hotel staffs are nice.

• Ethan (8/5): Hotel with history - The overall experience is pretty good. It's in a convenient location near the city centre. The room was clean. However if there were more lights to the room it would be more comfortable.
• 776lawrencek (4/5): Hotel not up to standard - The hotel location and rooms are OK. However the staff at the front desk are unprofessional, incompetent, impolite and unacceptable. Three months ago, I have reserved a non-smoking Superior Double Room with double bed. Upon at check-in, they have informed me that they have only reserved a standard double, moreover they could only offer me either non-smoking stand room with two single beds or a standard smoking room with double bed. They are so rigid and the service is unacceptable. At the end, I have paid the Superior Room rate but stayed in a Standard Smoking Room with a double bed. They have asked for a deposit of HK$500 in cash, while having dinner at the Chinese restaurant, I have spent around HK$480. The funny thing was that I could not sign the bill even though I was the guest of the hotel. Their explanation was that my deposit is not enough ?! This is ridiculous and unbearable. This hotel doesn't deserve to bear 4 stars.

But the table is limited. The hotel should change their hotel appreance as the hotel looks good frim outside . But inside the room it looks really old. Should do something about the mold smell inside the room and also the corridor. Location wise is ok for those casino hopping gambler. Quite near to the outer macau harbour. Near to st paul ruins if u know how to walk around. Breakfast is good for the chinese restaurant . But not for western one.

The hotel doesnt have free shuttle.. i was so upset, i book 2 rooms 1 room for 3 pax (3 beds) and the other one is for couple, but unfortunately they gave us both rooms twin beds. Without even explaining to us the reason! As per breakfast they say its buffet but on our second day in hotel they serve us plated breakfast!

• 王子 (6/5): アクティビティに至便なホテル - 近隣にリスボアやウィンもあり、マカオ半島の中心的なロケーション。全体的に可もなく不可もなくといった印象です。唯一評価を下げざるを得なかったのは、ユニットバスの排水口の栓が故障しており、奥に溜まっていた毛髪などが上がってきた事。普段は見える範囲では無いですが、修理交換は済ませておいて欲しかったですね。 今回は朝食が料金に含まれていましたが、喫茶店のモーニングみたいなセットメニューだったので、時間に余裕のある方はホテル周辺に24時間営業の飲食店がありますので、そちらをお薦めします。

• dib_dey (6/5): Location good - Macau is divided into Cotai island and Macau peninsula. Cotai has all newly build extravagant hotels like Venetian, Galaxy, Parisian etc. We stayed in presidente which is centrally located in Macau peninsula. Close to ruins of saint Paul and other local historic places. Hotel is comparably cheap but has smoky smell in non smoking floor also. You can take free shuttle opposite the hotel to visit Cotai hotels for free.
• capsicum0620 (2/5): A disaster. Avoid, avoid, avoid - The Front desk staff at this hotel is one of the most hostile and incompetent of its kind across SE Asia. Obviously, the "Organisation"that runs this dump has very little to do with hospitality management. Rooms are beyond their time: the TV must have transmitted Armstrong's first steps on the moon, the tub drain was stuck etc etc... Avoiiiiiid
• teopag (8/5): Good location - Location is good. We booked two rooms and two neighbouring rooms were arranged for us which appeared to be very convenient for family members. Although facilities are relatively old, the hotel is clean and comfortable for us. My mobile phone was left in the room and realised of it right after check out, i was assisted by the staffs to find my phone in the room.

• Dex (6/5): Hotel Presidente 2N stay - The street-walkers were gathering outside the main entrance. I had to enter the hotel by the side entrance to avoid these people in the early morning around 4am. The non-smoking room has strong cigarette smell. The wireless wi-fi is strong only near the door; it was weak nearer to the study table/window.

• Kevin (4/5): 2 star motel - This hotel has had its day. It is not for the north American. The hotel stinks of mold and smoke. Only 2 floors are none smoking which means it's a smoking hotel. Hookers in the lobby every night. And the rooms are cold. No heat. The only good thing is the location and the view. The beds are worn and need to be replaced. I would not go back. I spent 4 days what a regret. Go pay the extra and stay at the new hotels.
• tomwilson29 (2/5): Dreadful - The attitude of the staff and manager in this hotel is appalling. As 3 backpackers we arrived to book a room and were told by the manager that there were no vacancies. We went along the road to a travel agency who then booked us in for a good price. It was 3pm and the manager then still refused us a room until 5pm which for a hotel in Macau is shocking as the normal check in time is 2pm. The room in all fairness was very clean and tidy when we finally got in there. In hotels that we have been in all over Asia when it is time to check out (12pm) you normally receive a phone call or knock at the door to ask if you are staying or checking out. Unfortunately for us we were asleep until 3pm which is when the phone rang demanding that we leave the hotel or we would be taken off the premises as we should have checked out. For a hotel in Macau this was unacceptable behaviour, as when we stayed in the MGM on a previous visit they woke us up with a polite knock on the door as most decent hotels do around the check out time. We were then charged our deposit for the room and ordered to pay another nights fee even though we were not staying that night. The manager was on his way out of the hotel when he approached us off-duty shouting in the lobby that we would never get our deposit back and threatened to phone the police unless we did not pay the nights fee. This was despicable behaviour from a manager of a hotel and we plain right refused to pay the next nights fee due to the incompetence of himself and his staff. When we told him that we would be taking this further he told us that we did not have to pay for the extra night and that he would only take the deposit off us. This was still not good enough but as he was in such a hurry he stormed out of the hotel and was smoking a cigarette outside. We did not get our deposit back We later saw the 'manager' in a club where he told the bouncers to remove us from the premises even though we were just there having a good time and did not go near him. This was when we knew he definitely had it in for us. We hope that nobody goes to this hotel in the future and that the manager is disciplined accordingly. When i e-mailed the hotel about this situation i received no reply, which shows how they treat their guests. If I could give the hotel a zero i would have due to the arrogance and incompetence of the manager.
• nesyachaa (8/5): A GOOD LOCATION IN OLD MACAU - Location is very good, just a minute walking to Wynn shopping mall you can enjoy the Golden Dragon and Golden Tree rising in the lobby at certain time and at night, you can see the beautiful dancing fountain. This hotel has an own casino but you only need less then 5 min walking to Lisboa Casino, the oldest casino at macau. The room was spacious completed with an orthopedic bed. I love the blanket! You will have your body well at your wake up. Breakfast is so so, the staff can speak english as well.

• santosh (4/5): Very average, would not recommend - Staff very unfriendly. The breakfast not suitable for anyone except asians. My pillows in the room had stains. Overall a bad experience and would not return back.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Bad gone good - Well, when we checked in, the room given us was a smoking room with queen size bed, however, my request when I made the reservation about 5 months ago was a non smoking room with king size bed. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodate us to suite level which was nice and next day, they found our room that was non smoking and king size bed. A bad going experience was immediately changed to a good experience by the hotel staff

• bloodbubble (6/5): Avoid if you can - Stayed here for one night on a whirlwind business trip. The hotel is reallyrun down, furniture in the room are all overdue to be replaced. The bathroom in my room smelled really bad. The walls are also really thin so you can literally hear the people living above and next to you. Location wise it is nearby adjacent casinos Wynn, Starworld, MGM, surrounded by a number of pawn shops. Not much to do nearby unless you're here just here for the casinos
• Roaming2011 (6/5): Rather rundown but OK for a night or two - Hotels in Macau are much more expensive than in Mainland China in terms of what you get for the money. Presidente was reasonably priced but it really needs to have a facelift. I arrived at 1.00 pm but was not able to check in until 2.00 even though I explained that I did not need to go to the room immediately. At two, a queue started to build up as many others were in the same position. The bedroom was rather dingy but the bed was comfortable. There was a very old television but the wifi was fine. I was in Macau to sightsee rather than gamble and the hotel is in a good spot to start exploring on foot.

• David (4/5): Escape - I've booked and paid for 3 nights but finally stayed only 1 night. Bed is extra hard. Breakfast is the worst i have ever experience in a hotel. Only a coffee with two pieces of bread. Working ladies in the lobby if you see what kind of lady i mean Employee not kind at all since they doesn't care any customer. Save your money and don't select that hotel
• David_Shanghai_China (4/5): Book 3 nights stay one - I have booked three nights and stay only one even if I paied for three nights. Breakfast is the worst I have ever experienced in a hotel. Only a coffee with a piece of bread. Bed really too hard. Old fashion TV. Prostitute working in the lobby. Overall not recommended

• Verified traveler (8/5): Hotel at the right place - The hotel was much better than we expected. It is at walking distance to Wynn, Star Hotel, MGM and Lisboa. Even the historical area is at a descent walking distance. Though the hotel has a pick up & drop offcoach every hour, we jumped on the Wynn pick up coach to reach the hotel. We had requested for an early room as we arrived in the morning, but we had to wait till 2.00 pm. We left our luggage at the lobby and went out for a stroll nearby. The free breakfast is simple but ample. It is served as per order, consisting of croissant/bread, egg, sausage/ham, tea/coffee & juice. The lobby is full of hookers after sun set, but they mind their own business. Best thing about the hotel is its location, there are hundreds of toursist at the nearby casino even at 2 in the morning, making it a lively place. Moreover, we were able to see the Wynn water show from our hotel room. There are many eating joints around, mostly chinese. Being centrally located, we did most of our sight seeing on foot.
• TianChad_com (6/5): Looks antique, smoky, but good location to stay in Macau - Our room has a Queen-size bed, old school CRT TV, small fridge, water kettle, hair-dryer and all other basic amenities that you need in a hotel room. I like the shower because it has constant hot water and the mirror has anti-fog function. Just that the first time we enter our room we feel that the room is a little dim and we can't find additional lights to brighten it up. Since the power plug is the same in Malaysia, you can charge your phone and camera with ease. There are plenty of power plug around the room. You can use the free wifi inside the room too. Wifi signal is not strong but good enough for surfing. There are two available choices to have your breakfast in President Hotel (Macau). You can choose either to have Western Breakfast set at the lobby or go to 4th floor for lousy buffet breakfast. All I can say is you can just book this place to stay overnight excluding breakfast. You can just go to the Cafe e Nata Margaret's Egg Tart Shop nearby for breakfast with good egg tart and milk tea. I still remember the boss was very polite to all customer. • lone yindu (4/5): Not worth staying - When we checked in we asked for the best room and city view was fine. But inside room ashes everywhere even in plant pots. Room was not big and no scissors available when we ask for it. Also when asked for I phone charger, no one paid attention. When we said we want to cancel the reservation, they were willing but no refund be made. Breakfast on the morning with oily spring rolls and cold French toast. Pathetic stay
• Alex (8/5): Excellent location at the right price - It was a quiet stay although I was at the center of the city.
