Guest Manager emailed beforehand confirming upgrade to Executive King. Arrived 11PM, given Room 511 which is a tiny 26m² Deluxe room, not the 36m² Executive room promised. Front desk refused to solve the problem, said he would only "report it", and rudely accused me of "shouting" when I was just discussing options in Chinese mixed English with my husband. Night manager then audaciously asked us to waste our sightseeing time for a 9AM meeting to "discuss". Total bait-and-switch. Avoid this hotel if you expect luxury service.

- Safari54774724597 (10/5): Superb afternoon tea experience with excellent service - I booked afternoon tea (Infinitea) in the Blossom Room this for two birthdays (my boyfriend and his daughter who share a birthday) and it was absolutely perfect for both. The unlimited champagne was a real treat for my boyfriend, as well as the excellent sandwich selection, and the calm and comfortable atmosphere as well as the sweet treats were perfect for his daughter. More than anything I want to say a HUGE thank you to the team and particularly Alson and Franscesca who were exceptionally kind and professional and clearly top of their game. We really appreciated the flexibility (Im veggie, my boyfriend's daughter doesn't eat beef) and the infinitea concept just takes the stress out as we all knew we'd be able to enjoy our favourite bits! We would 100% recommend

- KathyLK3193AZ (10/5): Five Star Plus Experience at the Conrad St. James - This was our first and best decision when planning a first trip to London. The Conrad St. James was recommended by our travel agent and it exceeded all expectations. We chose a room that included access to the Executive Lounge and this amenity made our stay five star plus! We had an early flight, arriving at the hotel at 9:30am which was well before the check in time. However, we had access to the Executive Lounge which included private showers and bathrooms, complimentary breakfast and all day snacks and drinks. We had a King Executive Room and it was spacious, spotless and daily housekeeping was exceptional. The front desk staff were consistently warm and welcoming and the Concierge team and front entrance personnel were very helpful with taxis and directions. The Executive Lounge daily breakfast included a wide range of hot and cold items and provided a great start to each day. We also enjoyed the lounge for happy hour including drinks and appetizers. Thank you Conrad St. James!

The outside attendants actually ran across the street to help us with our luggage and offer us beverages as we emerged from the tube station. In addition, there was the most charming, welcoming, wait staff member, Casey, who greeted us every morning at breakfast and made sure we had everything we needed. She would sincerely ask about our plans for the day and what she could do to make our breakfast memorable. Her infectious smile and kind nature did not begin and end with us. As I watched her service the room, she made sure to stop at each and every table to make each patron feel happy and cared for. She is quite remarkable! If you choose to stay at the Conrad St. James, be sure to look for Casey at breakfast service!

- 638ulrikel (10/5): Lovely Hotel - Wonderful hotel. All services are outstanding, beginning with a very friendly check-in. Bellmen are all courteous. Room cleaning and turn-down service is top-notch. Breakfast was sumptuous and restaurant stafff go out of their way to make sure you have what you want the way you want it. Location is very central. Walking distance to many central attractions. Rooms are very well appointed. Note that many rooms face interior space surrounded by other buildings/offices but are also very quiet as a result. Also, superior rooms can be quite small and best for a short stay. Go with Deluxe room if that's an issue. Hotel is not by any means inexpensive but is on par with other similar hotels in London. Weekends are a better value.

The executive lounge was an especially nice touch and Peter is absolutely an asset for the property. He is friendly and has years of travel experience to share. We look forward to a return visit. If you book in a shoulder season and catch a promotional rate, this 5 star can be had for a great price. Hilton honors members keep an eye out for those promotions.

- C3365KLmaryt (10/5): A lovely experience - I was well cared for at the Conrad St James. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very gracious and helpful. The executive lounge was a quite restful and provided a continental plus (a few hot items) breakfast and afternoon tea each day as well as evening canapes. There were lots of choices of soft drinks and alcohol. Room service had some tasty choices at reasonable prices. The location is very convenient for many things I wanted to do in London. I will seriously consider a return trip next year.

W dniu przybycia mieliśmy słodki poczęstunek:) Usytuowanie hotelu chyba jedno z najlepszych z mojego okna w pokoju nie było w ogóle widoku, tylko ściana w odległości 3-4 metrów. Tego niestety hotel nie może juz zmienić.

The staff are friendly and professional. 5 out of 5 stars Special praise goes to the housekeeping staff, who are efficient and keep the room beautifully maintained throughout the day. 5 out of 5 stars A very positive point (as it should be in all hotels): still and sparkling drinking water is always available free of charge. 5 out of 5 stars The downside, in my opinion, is the breakfast, which is quite poor considering the price they charge. Even if you pay around €35–40 for breakfast, that does not mean everything on the menu is included. You still have to pay extra for eggs made to order and similar items, which I find ridiculous for a hotel of this standard. Additionally, the buffet selection is very limited: Oatmeal, walnuts, hazelnuts, and similar toppings are not available The salads are very basic and don’t look appealing Overall, I would rate the breakfast 2 out of 5 stars. Restaurant within the hotel – the service could hardly be worse. The staff seem completely disorganized and unaware of what’s going on. The food selection and pricing are unreasonable compared to what you would expect from such a place. It would be unfair to say anything overly harsh, but we waited a very long time for our food, and people who arrived 20 minutes after us received their meals first (with almost identical orders). To their credit, they removed this mistake from the bill, and I appreciate that the manager recognized the issue. 3 out of 5 stars
- Thomas (10/5): Tolles Hotel an perfekter Lage mit aussergewöhnlich freundlichem Personal und TOP Verpflegung. - Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man hat uns immer bei allen Belangen unterstützt. Die Zimmer waren geräumig und sehr sauber. Die U-Bahn Station befindet sich auf der anderen Strassenseite. Eine Bus Station (Hop On / Hop Off) befand sich vor dem Pub an der Seite des Hotels. Das Frühstück war Klasse und das Pub im House ist Spitze (Sehr gute Fisch & Chips und feines Bier). Wir kommen sicher wieder. Vielen Dank. Eigentlich nichts. Wenn man auf hohem Niveau jammern wollte, könnte man den Ausblick aus dem Zimmerfenster reklamieren. Da wir aber nur in der Nacht im Zimmer geschlafen haben, hat uns das überhaupt nicht gestört.

De (openbare) bar was hartstikke goed met zeer goed personeel. Op zondagmorgen (lang) moeten wachten totdat je een plek hebt om te ontbijten. Zorg dan dat er geen gasten van buiten het hotel komen. Erg amateuristisch voor een luxe merk als Conrad

Her sticky toffee pudding recommendation was perfect, she was so friendly every time I spoke to her and she really went above and beyond for me during the stay. I also want to mention that Alessandro who checked me in was also lovely. The client service at The Conrad is exceptional, I stay at hotels regularly and here definitely stands out.

We stayed for a night at the start of January and Siya our breakfast host, asked how we were doing and were we doing anything special. We said we were on our way to Antarctica on holiday, a very nice conversation followed. Roll forward to 2 and a half months later, and the first thing we hear from Siya was how was your amazing trip to Antarctica. She must has seen and talked to hundreds or thousands of people between our visits, yet she remembered. This lady always makes our stays here that extra special.
- Kelly1407 (10/5): Fantastic stay and fantastic staff- a true credit to the hotel! - From the moment we arrived we knew this place was going to be different: We received a warm and friendly welcome from Pav at reception, who offered us her congratulations on our wedding anniversary as well as thanking us for our continued loyalty to Hilton Hotels (we are diamond members)- she really really set the tone for the visit, and I was delighted with the room upgrade. The room itself was fabulous—quiet, relaxing, and beautifully presented—with extremely comfortable beds that made for a great night’s sleep. The executive lounge was fabulous, with lots of friendly people and staff. There was many great snacks and a good choice of drinks, making it a perfect space to relax. Breakfast was equally impressive, with a wide range of options including fresh fruit, pastries, a full English, and eggs cooked fresh to order—all delicious and well prepared. The breakfast staff were also excellent—friendly, attentive, and a real credit to the hotel. What really stood out overall was the friendliness of the staff. Everyone was welcoming and attentive, even remembering our names, which added a lovely personal touch. I will definitely be staying here again—an excellent hotel, especially for Diamond members.
- billmann13 (10/5): Classy Conrad - This was my 7-8 stay here came to see wolves game against Brentford, at check in was offered champagne and got upgraded to a junior suite, room is spacious and clean love the rain shower, location is great just cross the road to st James park tube station,the staff very attentive executive lounge is a good size and great service, breakfast restaurant is so posh it's a delight to eat there, omelette and the porridge was best i ever had, gym is a little small but does the job, had a wonderful 3 nights here, See you again in September Thanks for a great stay

- nnnle (8/5): Good place for a long stay. - This is a great hotel with some minor issues that can be easily solved. Start with the positive experience: - Check-in was seamless. - Room is clean and has plenty of space. - Doormen, bellmen and all front desk staff are helpful and friendly. - Housekeeping is fine, they can be somewhat inconsistent depending on the housekeeper of the day. For the most part, they did a good job. - Large bathroom 💕 with a sizable counter space. Now, here are things that can be improved: - We couldn’t connect to our cellular signal/data. Although they offer free WiFi, I prefer to protect my privacy. Cellular signal amplifiers can correct the issue. - No heating rack in the bathroom. - No outlet by the bathroom sink. I had to blow dry my hair using an outlet outside the bathroom. - Room service food is terrible. Food was cold when they delivered it to our room. - Restaurants in the hotel need better ventilation. A few evenings I smelled nothing but fish in the lobby/hallways. - Bar’s cocktail menu is uninspiring. We had to go to different Mr. Fogg’s locations for good drinks.
- theartoftravelbyjac (10/5): Our Favorite London Hotel! - My husband & I stayed at the Conrad London St. James from November 24 - December 4, 2025. We were booked in a King Superior Room which is quite compact (280 square feet/26 sq meters) but was very functional & became our happy home base for our wonderful festive season visit to London. We were given Executive Lounge access & we enjoyed the various food on offer throughout the day, especially the early evening canapés & the breakfast. The hotel has a fantastic location & is next to St. James Park Underground Station & is an easy, short walk to Westminster Abbey, Parliament, Buckingham Palace & so many other iconic London locations. The hotel staff were universally helpful, professional & welcoming. The concierge team & doormen were great & really helped make our trip special & helped make our dream of enjoying the many holiday festivities in London & the countryside a reality. The Conrad London is in a convenient but quiet location & there’s no exterior noise. Housekeeping standards are very high & the artwork & holiday decor created an elegant but very comfortable ambiance. We really liked the Blue Boar Pub at the hotel & enjoyed several lunches & dinners there . We loved their mulled wine when we came in after a cold night out & the sticky toffee pudding is great! This hotel’s location doesn’t offer panoramic views but it’s proximity to so many iconic places, excellent service, cleanliness & comfortably functional rooms make it a great choice & we hope to stay at the Conrad London St. James again on our next visit to wonderful London!
